Seeds for gardening and fishing in Appaloosa Plains
« on: December 03, 2011, 03:04:42 PM »
Does anyone have a map up of the special seed locations and locations for different types of fish in Appaloosa Plains?  Also, is it possible to get the uncommonly rare, outstandingly good, and omni plant opportunities in this town?  I haven't seen them yet in Bridgeport (nor the fresco painting challenge).

I found both angel fish and Alley catfish at Cinnamon Crest Falls and the Appaloosa County Water Plant treatment. Death fish was at the graveyard.
I think luck and the collection helper at a lot to do with finding the seeds I wanted. Although I did find my first life fruit seed at the criminal warehouse without the collection helper.

So far I have had the uncommonly good and outstandingly rare opps. I am just waiting on the last few cheeses to be ready before I get the ommi plant opportunity.

Cinnamon Crest is an excellent place to find the higher level seeds.  There's always at least one and often as many as four or five.  Also check the road just outside the lot; there are often a couple there, too.

Also important to note that Unicorns will eat the seeds so you need to get to them before the Unicorn does.

I also had unicorns and wild horses eat my produce. So you need to either put up a fence or one of those keep wild life away gnomes.

Interesting!  So if you adopt a unicorn, it will eat your garden?  :o

Do wild horses come to your property if you have a fence?

I think if you adopt a unicorn you would feed it and possibly stop it from eating your plants. Despite having the no wildlife gnome wild horses keep coming to my property to die they don't eat my plants though so its not a big problem. i would suggest just putting a fence around your plants.

Yes, my 4th generation dynasty heir has completed all 3 opportunities.  Unfortunately the mailbox is still glitched and she doesn't seem to be able to order more omni plant seeds.   ::)

I also find a lot of special and high level seeds behind the 64x64 lot on Pomona Promenade.  Just along the base of that hill there are usually a lot of seeds.

Katluvr: Have you tried canceling the 'order omni plant seeds' interaction before your sim reaches the mailbox? It works for some people - the sim does the animation for ordering the seeds from halfway across the lot, and the mailbox opens on it's own as they do, so it's a bit weird but you get the seeds with the next day's post.

Does anyone know where special seeds are in Appaloosa Plains? I've found some at that Historical Monument by the Cemetery (I don't remember the name...) but there's only one there that I've seen, so I'm sure there must be another spot somewhere.
