One year anniversary at part time job.

If my teens stay in a part time Job past a Monday I get a pop up saying it is (Sim name) one year anniversary at(place of work) their workmates have thrown them a party.

I hadn't noticed this before so when did that start happening?

I think it came with Seasons.   During baby boomers I got several of these.

I think this happens after finishing all the four seasons: Summer, Autumn, Spring and Winter. That counts for one year. So after one year and the Sim attends work there is a message that a party was held in honor of the Sim as anniversary.

Ah that is why I haven't seen it, I play with perma summer set to  maximum lenght to avoid unnecessary off days.
