Thank you maisie, that's what I was looking for :)

Edit: If you haven't bought the world already, you should use the Guide's link to get the SimPoints! I didn't realise SimPoints could also be purchased in this way. Please help support the site by doing this!

The world is a little dark but I love the Lemony Snicket theme, though I haven't played with the Baudelaire kids (forgot the EA names) I knew they sounded familar when I went into Edit Town mode.

Has anyone had problems with opportunities in the twinned buildings?

What is everyone doing for a festival lot in this town?

I thought they released a custom festival lot for midnight hollows? I could be wrong, since I haven't downloaded it myself, but I thought I saw reference to it...

Pallyndrome, you are right that they released a custom festival lot.

Much like some of the other Sims 3 store towns, the closest you will get to an official festival lot will be what one of the SimGurus have put up.

SimGuru Smitty created one (she also did the festival lots for Dragon Valley, and Aurora Skies)

I mentioned  the link on page four of this thread, but will put it here again.

You're both welcome.  Sadly, a small post can certainly get lost in an active thread.

I have the darker version of Midnight Hollow, I'm pretty sure. If I re-download it, will my saved game be lost? I did build a few lots, but I can save those in the bin.

But I am enjoying the town immensely. I have moved the Goths over from Sunset Valley, including Bella, of course. :)

I think if you uninstall a world, it removes the save too. I think, however, that you can just move the sim save out of the EA folder, then uninstall, reinstall, and move the save back into the EA folder in order to preserve it.

It is only worth paying gold if you want to be able to make your own toys and/or have some of the new toys included like kites, baby mat, jack in the box. It also adds the toy shop itself, but that's just a community building that looks kinda nice and is full of toys - the actual ability to run your own shop comes with the normal version I think.
