I also love the look of this town, and I like that it comes with so many new objects... I just want to know more about what will be the gold content and what will be standard.

As for the light, I don't think I will play this world so much since I'm a fan of bright sunny worlds myself, but I do think that the register is going to be one of my favorite new items :)

Perhaps there is a venue that they haven't made mention of yet that will be with the gold version, isn't that usually how it works? Like how lucky palms gold had the casino, and aurora skies had the children's centre.

The official store listing is now up, though obviously it isn't for sale.

It can be found here

The standard cost looks like it will be 2450 Simpoints.

According to the store listing the Gold Edition is the 3 bonus Voodoo Clothing as of the time of my posting.  This could very well change in the future.

The bonus clothing is part of a simpoint bundle, actually.

Bri - I think the voodoo clothing is still only with the simpoints bundle, since it has the same advertisement for it on the standard page and gold page. It looks like the gold version has something to do with the jack-in-the-box. I hope it's significant, whatever it is, since it's nearly double the price of the standard version!

Let's please be careful about calling this stuff "Open for Business".  That's what Sims 2 called the business playing, right?  We don't want to use a Sims 2 term to refer to something in Sims 3.

*nods*  I agree Pallyndrome and Trip that the clothing will be part of the Simpoint bundle.  I failed to quote Lysita's sentence in my previous post about what was the 'Gold' Edition.  I should have added, "As of the time of my post, this is what it shows."

Agreed, though it does stand as a testament to how people loved that Sims 2 expansion pack.

One piece of info, if one looks at the Savvy Seller's Collection is it appears that to actually sell your items, you will have to use the Build the  rugs, pedestals, wall shelves and parking spaces in the bundle to actually sell it.

Still, at least one can sell things more directly without having to go to the consignment shop.

The  hidden inner omg-I-love-gothic-fashionista in me is just freaking out right now. This world looks like so much fun! Looks perfect for a life states dynasty, too. Midnight Hollow, get ready to greet Lilith Dojo.

This world really is cool. Not my type of world I would play in but the new items are awesome.

SimGuruTaterTot has posted a blog on one of the Sims. You can find it here.

EDIT: This is the post.

Katarina's love for dolls came at a young age, she adored them, all of their fashion and all of the possibilities for them. As she aged her only aspiration was to be like her beloved doll. Now with pristine skin and an almost expressionless face she loves everything she sees in the mirror and doesn't want to be alone. She has her eyes set on collector Jack Limb because if anyone can appreciate perfect upkeep of a doll, it's him; but his feelings for that perfect Sarah Holden are standing in her way.

Hello , Katarina, it’s nice to meet…
Stewart: Oh, I’m sure it is!  I could just imagine meeting somebody as fabulous as me and it’s got to be one of the highlights of your life!  But enough about me, what do YOU think about me?

Someone mentioned your eccentric sense of fashion.
Stewart:  They did?  Really? Who?  No, seriously… who said that?!  Was it Jack Limb?  Please tell me it was Jack.

I believe it was Mr. Hyde.
Stewart:  Well, I really am fabulous and Lucien was really sweet to point that out.  But I feel like, what’s the point of being a doll if you don’t have a fantastic wardrobe to play dress up?

Well, since you brought it up… It’s easy to see the comparison between you and a doll.  Your skin is flawless.  Pristine.  Almost plastic.  And is your face is… what’s the most delicate way of putting this?  Is your face stuck like that?
Stewart:  Oh… you’re too kind.  I really have put a lot of work into making sure people always seeing the best ME as possible.  I really am a collector’s edition.  All of my dolls have been just perfect for me.  How can they love me if I’m not doing my best to be perfect for them?

Have you met anyone interesting here in town?
Stewart:  *giggle* Is that your not so subtle way of asking me out?

Actually this is just one of the interview ques…
Stewart:  Shhhhh!  It’s OK.  I won’t tell anyone.  But I’m not seeing anyone right now because I have my eye on a certain collector.  Only somebody like Jack Limb would know the right way to properly care for someone like me.

Jack Limb?  But isn’t he dating Sarah Holden?
Stewart:  You probably can’t tell it from my facial expression right now, but I’m in a full on rage!  How dare you bring up that llama faced loser?!

Well that’s not very nice.  She seems like a very pleasant person.
Stewart:  I’m so glad I decided not to date you!  If my tear ducts hadn’t been removed I would be sobbing!  This interview is over!

Like said earlier on this page, the Gold edition page for Midnight Hollow has this photo on it.

I'm thinking that whatever the gold premium content is it will have something to do with toys, children or a circus.

Looking through the items just now, I noticed that one of the rabbit holes (the grocery store, I assume) is called Simsgon Alley and there is a statue that very much resembles a Dementor so it looks like there might be a few Harry Potter references in this town! I think the name could be linked as well because there is a place in Harry Potter called Godric's Hollow.

Hmm perhaps a toy store, I wonder if there will be a toy makers bench? but then I guess we sort of have that with inventing. Nothing too creepy though I hope, clowns freak me out and that jack in the box face is close enough to making me shudder, I have a hard enough time looking at anybody who got Tragic clowned by a Llama transporter  :-[

I got the strong feeling too that it was perfect for Harry Potter, and the Simagon Alley means it couldn't possibly be an accident! I am very excited to say the least.

Well, the thing is, with the new register anyone could make a toy store, or any other kind of store. I expect there to at least be a jack-in-the-box, and probably more.

If I buy a $60.00 Simpoint bundle today, will I be able to use some of those simpoints to buy Midnight Hollow?  or do I need to wait and buy the Midnight Hollow simpoint package?  Does that make sense?  I think with Monte Vista and Dragon Valley you had to buy the Bundle that included the world.  I only have $60.00 to spend...not $103.50.  So I need to do this right.

Midnight hollow will primarily be sold for simpoints, buying it with a simpoint bundle just gives you access to a few extra clothing items, I believe. Some correct me if I am wrong.
