Can dorms have more than 8 roomates?
« on: August 23, 2014, 06:54:48 PM »
I want to renovate Malan Hall because I like its location but it's so boring. Can the dorm have more than 8 students in it? I have a picture of a dorm in my head that has rooms with 3 beds, 2 beds, and a solo bed.

Sorry, only 8 roommates. If you are ok with modding portrait panel from Nraas might help.

Oh, that's too bad. I don't think it's worth getting mods just so I could do my bedroom layout ideas. I guess I'll just have to rethink my renovations then. Thanks!

I made my own fraternity house, and gave each of the 8 bedrooms a double bed. Since the empty housing attracts a full roster of roommates from available townie/student sims, it's a random mix every time.

And what I found out is that if a married townie gets drafted as a housemate by the game's roommate allocation algorithm, then his wife will move in as well. So we had a woman - and a 9th resident - living in our fraternity my sim's last term at Uni.

Possible to occur, not possible to arrange deliberately.
