I'm Toni, I'm a mum of two and i'm expecting another. I do a lot of modelling and promo work so obviously works a lot lighter being pregnant, So i thought i'd join here since The sims 3 is relieving much of my boredom at home.

Hi there! I'm Julie, and I just started playing TS3 on Saturday. I consider myself very lucky to have found Carl's Guide/Website and this forum through it. I played Sims 1 when I was younger, probably around 2002-2003 and then the disc was lost.  But now I'm "back" and as addicted as I was before as a kid! Looking through this forum, it's awesome and I'm really excited to be a part of all this - and for all the help because I will definitely need it! And hopefully someday I'll be able to give it. I only have the Night Life expansion so far (because it came with my game) but I'm hoping to buy Ambitions and Generations soon.

Thanks for reading!
-Julie

Hi Julie! You've only been playing since Saturday? WOW! We are here for all your questions, be they beginner or advanced. Even the seasoned veterans turn to this forum for help.

Ambitions and Generations are two great ones to go with, in my opinion. Carl has said before that Ambitions adds the most gameplay, and if I remember right it is his favorite. Generations gives many new socials and interactions, making families more dynamic and fun to play.

So welcome Julie! I hope you feel at home here with your fellow Simmers.  :)

Hello, my name is Kaitlin, usually everyone just calls me Kae. I found the guide and these forums while searching for an answer to a technical issue and I've been hooked ever since, only just recently joined however. I've been playing Sims for a year and a half now, on and off, and usually would just cheat and build, thanks to the forums and the immortal/lifestates dynasties I'm really getting to experience Sims on a deeper level. Its all much more fun now!   :)

Welcome to the forum, Kae! I've always found the Dynasties to be a great way for me to explore the game at a more complete level. (even if I've never managed to get very far into them  :P)

Greetings, long time lurker, first time poster.

Been gaming my whole life and have played pretty much ever Maxis game when new, going back to the original SimCity.  I enjoy The Sims in spurts between other games, though my wife is a much more regular player.  I have a bad habit of spending far more time in build mode than live mode and an embarrassing amount of time in Create a Style. Currently enjoying Island Paradise in a houseboat with two cats, looking for love under water, and managing a shoddy little resort.
