With it, insert custom books into the game, find out all the books in game, and be slightly scared because it's nearly 5000 lines long and expands with every EP released.

If you have s3pe, you can go to Program Files\Electronic Arts\(The\Los\Die\etc) Sims 3\Game\Bin\Gameplay, load up the GameplayData package, find the _XML with that Instance ID, and view the booklist.

I am quite suire the book is called 'Four Corners of the Earth' but I can be wrong.
After testing some years ago I've noticed that the books that come with careers will not be transportable to another household. That means that they are only usefull to collect in your house in your save file. I hope this has been changed in the meantime, as it means that all sims can read these books.
Maybe you can proof me wrong Ana? I do hope so. :)

Thank you Leto, I was close with the title :P I think I find (brutal) way to get the books into the bin - have to try with evicting the family from Town edit, but 99% sure it will work if all Sims in the household are dead (when you get the "game over or is it?" message). I will let you know when I confirm it to doable 100% .

Oops, sorry. Here it is. :) 0xC2D9D4BE5390D589

Seabody thank you, I will check this package in S3PE to see if it is the list of non-buyable books as soon as I get home! Carl already explored some packages and sent me some huge and detailed lists, but so far we tracked down only books that are available in bookstore.

@Leto, I'm glad I read the previous entries, I was about to recommend a shop in real life in London, near the British Museum! That would have been a wee bit embarrassing.   ???

I am watching that list at the moment and it is the same I already have, but I can't find books that are not available in bookstore (opportunity and time machine books). If you find any please let me know, if we can find it in codes, it would be the best source for the list  :)

Apparently, Four Corners of the Earth is book from the Past.

Thanks Rica, precise names are going to be very usefull as I managed to find where Time Traveling books are, but they have generic titles like TimeTravelFutureBook 1, TimeTravelFutureBook 2 etc (10 from past and 10 from future).

I also digged out opportunity in culinary career with that book, so I will have to be very persistant to get it eventually.

Glad to find titles of most of the other books not available in bookstore. Guess with time I get more skilled in searching through codes.  Thanks Seabody!

I found a list of 9 books from both past and future available on the Sims Wiki here but I have been unable to determine what the last two books were that you found but I hope this helps.

War and More War
Fire: Terrifying but Essential
The Fall of Atlantis.
Lady Veronica Farfleton and the Magical Harpsichord
1000 Ways to Stew Brontosaurus
The Four Corners of the Earth
Sul Sul:  Trapped in Tar
To Hunt or to Gather?
Plague and Pestilence

Future:
Farmed:  A Legacy of Eight Billion Points
SimCity 7940 Tips and Tricks

Gone with the Solar Wind
Blips and Bloops: A Thesis on Mechanics
Remembering the Internet: How the World was Changed

I can slowly work on getting the rest of the books, but it's a difficult process sometimes.

@Leto do you want all of the books, or just un-buyable ones?

Well, here's my list so far.

KEY:
Anything marked with an * means that it is not available in the bookstore.
Anything marked with an ** means that I'm not 100% sure if it's an actual book.
Anything marked with an *** meets all the above criteria.
Anything marked with an **** has a string (which is a fancy way of saying, is a title of something in game) but I have not yet found the information about it.
