Oh, I really like the viking trip.
Those interludes really add a lot to the story and the characters. Wonder if it'll show up when they'll meet again as teen.

Jaxton's second thoughts about "stealing a life" made me laugh. Wasn't there any unchecked deaths they needed to get?

And I recognise that CC hair. It's a stupborn one. I've a couple of that creator as there aren't many cc child hair that I like, and they pop up on 90% generated kid. Also, thank you for the house tour that I missed.

Poppy's such a cutie!!

Oh wait, there was the rest of the update to...Ikura and Maja are already adorable together and will be fantastic as the next legacy power couple  ;=)
When you moved in the vamp police chief but then didn't like her aspiration, I expected the next move was going to be a vampire sunlight death.
Must admit, you're making me want to go play my Sharebear legacy some more, but I really need to keep things moving for the Tooks!

@Tynynounours
I'm so happy to hear you enjoyed the Viking visit! You will soon find out whether we meet the Jensens again as teens. :D
Haha, I'm just too lazy to "steal a life" since we already earned the point for 10 types of death on the home lot. But you're right; there's still five death types we haven't achieved yet.
Oh, thanks so much for letting me know about that hair! I thought I was going crazy for a bit because I would change it in CAS but still see the hair in the household image.

Poppy's such a cutie!!

@PeregrineTook
Poppy truly is an adorable little girl! We summoned her for the friend-making fest just for you, hehe.
Lol, we already got the vampire sunlight death with Vlad in Gen1, if I remember correctly.
But you and Tynynounours are both right--I did briefly consider trying for a different death type in both cases (Grilled Cheese and Police Chief), but eh!
I've been stalling around long enough and am now eager to age my triplets into teens!

Still love the Viking parts ^^ I live vicariously through your updates and CC XD  Hm, surprised that Grim fell away as an acquaintance.
That new house "Thorsdottir" contains no cc at all. However, the clothing of the "medieval triplets" and Maja/Magnus Jensen (and the watcher this time) are custom content.
Yes, that surprised me about Grim, too. The whole reason I thought to do Grilled Cheese with Jaxton was that he and Edamame had met Grim so many times already, lol.
Perhaps Grim is occasionally cloned with different traits. Shoot, I should have had Jaxton "get to know" Grim the last time! Darn!

Sharebears 3.30: Maja Moves On + Gen4 Heir Vote
« Reply #229 on: June 05, 2018, 01:59:01 AM »

3.30: Maya Moves On (Gen4 Heir Vote)

Hakuto: So, about last week, the three of us didn't just share the same dream, did we?
Jaga: Heck no! We definitely traveled back to 1,000 CE! I found goat hairs in my socks the next morning!

Ikura: Should we tell the parents what happened?
Hakuto: I don't think so. Have you ever heard Grandpa Benicio's story about Dagobah?
Well, he said nothing like that ever happened to our parents. I doubt they'll believe us!
Jaga: Still, I wonder what happened to Maja and Magnus. I hope they stayed safe…

Meanwhile, in a vastly different time and place...

Clara: You have become quite skilled in spinning wool, Maja.
Maja: Besides gathering wild food, all I ever do with our sheep's wool is comb, dye, and spin it.
When will I ever learn to weave?

Clara: Truth to be told, I'd commissioned a carpenter in a not-so-distant village to craft a loom for you.
Unfortunately, he wasn't done in time for your birthday yesterday.
As soon as it arrives, however, I will teach you to weave. Show patience, young lady.
Maja: Patience? How much longer must we live here in hiding? Will I grow old here and die a spinster?
Clara: Hush, child. We must live here quietly until your parents' return.

Clara: And where is that mischievous canine of yours, Maja?
Maja: You mean Loki? I sent him off to summon Magnus for our mid-day meal.
Magnus always takes his sweet time coming home so I've sent Loki several hours early.

Magnus: Why are you here, Loki?
Oh, you've come to escort me home for our mid-day meal?
But I can stop fishing this instant, you understand. I must wait until my luck runs out.

Magnus: I believe I have caught enough fish for a while!
I shall bring my catch to Clara who knows various ways to prepare it.
Dried, salted, pickled, smoked, stewed--our tummies and pantry will be well filled.
Loki: *bored of waiting

Hmmph, the things I'm expected to do as a watcher!
I could be home, curled up with a good book and sipping iced tea.
But no. I'm dressed in this absurd get-up after having teleported to mid-nowhere!

My objectives are clear and simple.
I must persuade Maja to leave this place in time and accompany me back to the present.
If her brother Magnus wants to come along, that's also fine.
Ahhhh, I can see their home just up ahead.

Clara: Hail, stranger! I can tell from your clothing that you are far from home.
Where are you headed and how have you come to pass through these parts?
Magnus: Our humble apologies for our servant's rude questions. You must be starving.
Please, sit and dine with us on fried fish and mead.

Maja: Yes, we can chat as we eat.
How kind of you. It will be nice to sit and share a drink after my long journey.

Quite honestly, I have traveled here in order to speak with you, Maja.
Maja: With me? How do you even know me?
The fates have informed me that you've met the triplet sons of a family I watch over.

Maja: Stop! Do you mean those boys who arrived around the time my parents went a-viking?
The exact same boys. They will soon be teenagers. I'm hoping you'll agree to accompany me to their world.
For you are destined to marry one of the three brothers.

Maja: And they will be handsome, yes?
Exceedingly so. A fairer set of young men you will never see, I'm sure.
Maja: Magnus, what are you waiting for? Pack your things immediately. We're leaving.
Magnus: Fine. And your dog Loki's coming with us, I assume?

Hold on a sec. Are you sure, Maja? I haven't even finished my spiel yet.
Maja: Are you joking? Magnus and I have been stranded here with Clara for over a decade.
I'm ready for something new, something different.

Clara: Wait, wait! What about me?
Maja: Sorry but you need to stay and explain things to our parents upon their homecoming.
Clara: Gee, thanks!

Magnus: I'm going to miss living so close to the beach!
Maja: Who says we can't live near the beach after we leave here? Right, Watcher?

Excellent job, Loki! I knew sending you here to look after Maja was a smart idea.
Loki: I now have a lifetime of deprivation to make up for! Where's my gourmet pet food?
Step lively, Jensens! It's a short walk to my teleporter, but a long journey across many eons awaits us!

Week 11/Monday

Ikura: Well, we've taken today off from school. How shall we spend the last day of our childhood?
Hakuto: Once we become teens, our readers will be voting on which of us becomes the next heir.
I don't know about you two, but I'm going to be beefing up my resume!
Jaga: Not me, since I'm unofficially a vegetarian. I've been making plans for the future, though.

Edamame: Jaxton ages up to an adult this morning, without a cake.
I'm going to wait until his elder birthday, then age up together with him.

Just before leaving for school, Gari completes her first aspiration.
The more I think about it, the less I like the idea of keeping her here as a young adult.
All three boys should stay in the house, plus a bride and children.
Even if Jax and I move out early, space is going to be tight in this household!

Tuesday

By 5 pm, all three boys have blown out their birthday candles.
Before their makeovers, I wonder if they are no longer identical triplets.

After giving them their makeovers, however, I realize that I was mistaken.
They remain three peas in a pod, with the exception of Jaga's green eyes.
And because of his green eyes, both the watcher and I strongly favor Jaga.

All three triplets shall remain in the house to complete careers.
But, of course, only the heir will produce the next heir. And that is why Jaga is our favorite.
Forgive me, I forget myself. Allow me to introduce my sons individually.

Hakuto
Traits: Loves the Outdoors, Outgoing, (Ambitious)
Bonus traits: Happy Toddler; in range to earn Good Manners, Responsible, and Mediator
Skills: Charisma 10, Logic 10, Violin 10, Fishing 5
Aspiration: Jungle Explorer (maxed all 4 childhood aspirations)
Future Career: Politician
Personal message:
Since my brothers and I will all be staying on in the house, I don't feel that great an urge to "sell" myself as the heir, if you know what I mean.
*I have rolled the Jungle Explorer aspiration which no Sharebear has completed yet.
In fact, I'm greatly looking forward to exploring Selvadorada with my brothers!
*As a young adult, I will hopefully earn the tenth and last upbringing trait (Mediator).
*Because I'm outgoing, I intend to join the Politician career.
With three young adults and a primary spouse on different work schedules, the Politician's flexible work schedule seems ideal.
*If I become heir, I will probably be made to start wearing green contact lenses. It's fine. *shrugs

Ikura
Traits: Loner, Cheerful (Neat)
Bonus traits: Happy Toddler; in range to earn Responsible and Emotional Control
Skills: Charisma 10, Logic 10, Violin 10, Piano 3
Aspiration: Best-Selling Author (maxed all 4 childhood aspirations)
Future Career: Writer/Author
I agree with Hakuto about not feeling the need to get all cutthroat about the heir vote.
*Similar to Hakuto, I have also rolled an aspiration that no Sharebear has completed yet.
*During my teen years, I will probably try to get in range to earn the Good Manners.
Since I'm a loner, though, do I really need that friend-making boost from Good Manners?
*I will be joining the Writer career because it's a sensible match for my aspiration.
And, yes, I'll be the only brother with a rabbithole job.

Jaga
Traits: Neat, Dog Lover (Snob)
Bonus traits: Happy Toddler; in range to earn Good Manners, Responsible, and Emotional Control
Skills: Charisma 10, Logic 10, Piano 10, Violin 3
Aspiration: Mansion Baron (maxed all 4 childhood aspirations)
Future Career: Veterinarian
Personal message:
To be frank, I would really like to become the heir. Why? Because I'd like to see the founder's green eyes passed down.
Otherwise, we triplets look alike and are equally skilled.
*I rolled Mansion Baron which I have already insta-completed along with Fab Wealthy.
Since I'm a dog lover, I have become an aspiring Friend to the Animals.
*Instead of a steady job, I will run a vet clinic until I have earned all its perks.
*My aspiration requires me to own 2 pets, so household size will become an issue.

I still am in love with your viking updates. Maja really does well in your hands. Cant wait to see which off the lucky boys will get her.
I cast my vote, but I am sorry, my vote did not go to Jaga, even though I love his green eyes.

@LenaLJ
Thank you so much for your Jensens. They inspired me to learn about about a new culture and I loved the historical novel "The Long Ships"!
It is always a fortunate scenario when all the heir candidates are equally talented. Their main difference was their traits.

My vote is cast.  :-X
@sdhoey
Thanks so much for voting! And for your constant moral support! (Your immoral support is much appreciated, too!)

You know Ikura got my vote  ;=)  He and Maja will be so happy together!
@PeregrineTook
Ikura is actually the best-looking boy of the triplets. Ironically, he rolled the aspiration where he's always got his back turned, lol.

I cast my vote. Good luck to all of them ^^

Part of me wanted to do a narrative detour about Maja's assimilation into modern-day life but common sense got the better of me, haha.
Your question will soon be answered!

Sharebears 3.31: Gone to the Dogs (+Heir Vote Outcome)
« Reply #236 on: June 11, 2018, 09:50:05 PM »

3.31: Gone to the Dogs (+ Heir Vote Outcome)

Week 11/Tuesday

Hakuto: I'm the heir candidate with the best traits: Loves the Outdoors, Outgoing, Ambitious.
Though we became teens today, I can't start my Jungle Explorer aspiration yet.
We're waiting until Thursday so we don't miss too much school.
Meanwhile, my brothers and I are making productive use of our time.

Ikura: I'm the heir candidate with the most useful aspiration.
Books of Life are great for sims in rabbithole careers!

I don't how much headway I'll make with Best-Selling Author by Friday.
If only Hakuto would take a few short trips to Selvadorada instead of one long one.
Or maybe we can rent a villa in Selvadorada that has a room where I could write!

Jaxton: I've decided to try and complete the JokeStar aspiration before the boys' next birthday.
I only need to reach Level 5 Entertainer to join the Comedian career.
After that, I can quit that job and just do the other comedy-related goals at home.

Jaga: After Mansion Baron and Fab Wealthy, I chose the Friend of the Animals aspiration.
I'm tackling the only aspiration that our watcher has never completed before.

After checking strays at the beach, I phone the Kennel to bring two dogs over.
The Siberian Husky is gorgeous and smart, but she's aggressive.
The St. Bernard puppy is loyal and friendly, but he's stubborn (that is, impossible to train).
I end the evaluation without adopting either dog.

Jaga: After a few hours, I phone the Kennel again and ask to see another dog.
This puppy is a Bluetick Coonhound, a breed I'd never heard of before.
She's a loyal, adventurous glutton and I decide to keep her!
I've named her Quest. She's pretty adorable, right?

Wednesday

Jaga: I bet you're wondering about my puppy's name.
Our watcher says that an adventurous dog often runs away.
I named her Quest so I'll remember that she's adventurous and not feel hurt when she goes adventuring.

Hakuto: We earn A's after our first day of high school.
Ikura: Naturally.
Jaga: Doing school projects last night really helped, yeah?
Gari: Are you three done patting each other on the back yet?

Gari: Don't mind me, folks.
I'm the full-blooded sister who's treated like the ugly stepsister!
Edamame: You know that's not true!  I'm helping you master piano with my new Matriarch trait.
Gari: Eh, you know that's only so I can stay in the Sharebears club for mentoring.
Edamame: … (busted)

Hakuto: Since you're a Patriarch now, you could mentor me in fitness, you know?
Jax: Yeah, I know. But you're Fitness 8 already and I'm busy writing comedy routines.

Jaga: I can't train Quest until she's an adult, so I head down to the beach again.
So many sick dogs at the beach!
When Hakuto is nearly done with Jungle Explorer, I'd like to open a vet clinic.

Thursday

Little Quest can always be found in the nursery, with Blub the Bulbalus.
We became companions just past midnight.
I have only one complaint about Quest.
She's been such a good girl so far that I can't train out any misbehaviors, haha.

Jaga: It's almost 4 am when Quest suddenly ages up in the nursery.
The Powers Above (Pinstar) allows us to modify sims in CAS, so I decide to do the same for Quest.
Her traits remain the same: Loyal, Adventurous, Glutton. She's a smaller dog now.
She rather resembles a fox with a Siberian Husky's coat and eyes.

Hakuto: After school, we return home to a message that Blub is hungry.
We'd never noticed getting that message before, but I go to feed him.
Grandpa Benicio and his brother Alejandro passed away last week.
They must have been the ones who were feeding Blub.

Ikura: I am the handsomest triplet who must tragically and eternally sit before a computer!
I've only written 4 books so far, but I'll be glad to get away for a day or two!
Happily, I managed to scrape together enough satisfaction to buy Marketable and Creative Visionary.
But I have no points left for Connections so I really need to write more books!

Jaga: While teaching Quest to shake, I master Pet Training.
We've now mastered every skill, plus I can now buy our club's last perk!
Quest, I believe you and I are ready for a vacation!

Hakuto: I'm more than ready for a trip to Selvadorada!
I've mastered Logic and am highly skilled in gardening, fishing, and fitness.
Also, Mama and Ikura have written us boys excuse notes for school tomorrow!
Before we leave, though, Mama says she has a message for the readers.

Edamame: We had initially planned for this update to end at the triplets' birthdays.
However, our watcher went crazy over Jaga's dog, wasting hours agonizing over its name.
Then she squandered even more time on Quest's adult makeover.
Anyway, we will end this update here, just prior to leaving for Selvadorada.

Before we go, thank you very much for voting on the next heir.
Jax and I have three fine sons and any one of them would make an excellent heir.
The vote, however, turned out in favor of Jaga.
Fortunately, all three boys will be staying in the house, with Jaga to wed Maja Jensen.
Obviously, Jax and I are hoping to find nice brides for Hakuto and Ikura as well.

Legacy Score: +2 (72 points)
Knowledge (+1): Maxed 43/43 skills at least once (Pet Training)
Popularity (+1): Legacy club earned all possible perks (Pet Training skill boost)

Household Ages (Short Lifespan)
Jaxton (adult): 9 days to elder
Edamame (young adult): 2 days to adult
Gari (teen): 2 days to young adult
Hakuto (teen): 5 days to young adult
Ikura (teen): 5 days to young adult
Jaga (teen): 5 days to young adult

Noooo!!!  Poor Ikura.  Poor Maja!  Her heart was obviously set on him ad now she'll be devastated.  Of course, now Ikura's free to find a lovely redhead, so...
I was amused by the commentary about how the obsessing over the dog made the update end sooner than intended.  Quest is a lovely name for a lovely dog.  Looking forward to seeing her role in the household and getting to know the triplets more as they take a more prominent role in the household.

So many votes, but all 3 would make good heirs.

My I just point out your 72 points by end of generation 3? Thats amazing.

So glad you enjoy the Jensen twinz, cant wait to see Maja return, and to see the cutie noboos you will have.
Ohh and I feel for Gari, just being the sidekick.

Happily, all three boys can stay in the house this generation, it's just that two of them will have children living outside of the legacy house.
I had SUCH a hard time making any progress with the 7-day teenhood of my Gen3 triplets. Seriously, I blame it on the pets!!!
Yes, I've finally got my literal foot in the fourth-generation door!

I'm so curious about what you will do about Nathan's dog and cat. :D
The points are going to be much harder to earn from this point on. I need to plot out how to distribute the careers.
Having ten kids really didn't give opportunity to complete many careers. Yet, too many different work schedules in one house is hard.
Professional Slacker FTW!!!
As for Gari, with the triplets and two pets, she is unfortunately a superfluous presence in the house.
Helpful but not that helpful. Well, certainly more helpful than the pets, lol.
