@oshizu

It does make sense lol.  Just hit a bit close to home I think XD Wow, really? I haven't gotten to play with scouting yet.  It will be fun to mess around with scouting. I'm so out of practice with toddlers, but playing them in the RKC has been so much fun ^^
According to Carl's fabulous guides:
Happy Toddler trait = 10% boost in skill gains
Top-Notch Toddler trait = 25% boost in skill gains and career promotions
Scouting Aptitude trait = 25% boost in skill gains

I love the whole scouting thing, lol. Tbh, I don't enjoy the micro-managing required for Top-Notch Toddlers at all, but the promotion boosts are hard to pass up.
That's why I'm only going for Top-Notch Toddlers at the end of my legacy, not the whole way through.
Happy Toddlers with the Scouting Aptitude trait have worked out fine so far, hehe.

Oh wow! Yeah, top notch is tough. I've only managed it once without some form of cheating but I had to have the parents use vacation days and take turns with the toddler skilling.

Sharebears 6.61: Last-Chance Toddlers
« Reply #407 on: September 23, 2018, 12:30:41 AM »

The girls sure adore their grandparents!

6.61: Learnin' the Chillun

Week 19/Monday (Winter, Day 2)

Omu: Negi and I both earn promotions this afternoon.
Too bad Uncle Akito doesn't live with us anymore.
The 'rents say his representation campaigns really sped up promotions.

Tetsu the Butler: Oh, those poor little girls! Don't they ever change to jammies and sleep in beds?
Omu: Hush, you! We're trying raise them into Top-Notch Toddlers.

Tetsu: But, all this time, your watcher's been saying Happy Toddlers suffice.
Omu: True, but then she realized we have only 3 more generations of toddlers to go: Gens 7, 8, and 9.
She's mostly interested in "the career gains," whatever that means.
Tetsu. Exactly! Everyone mentions "the career gains" without explaining what that actually means.

By nightfall, we adults are in dire need of amusement.
Negi calls us over to watch that dog movie with him.

Omu: My beloved Amanda strives to get back on Mama's good side.
She's finishing Purin's school project, which also raises her own Logic.

Thanks to Amanda, Purin can go practice typing for when she starts Rambunctious Scamp.
And she's only missing her Keep Fit badge, so that's next on her list.

The dog film isn't as entertaining as we'd hoped, geeky Papa suggests gaming.
Nothing like couch co-op to strengthen family ties and unwind.

When the girls wake up hungry, Negi feeds them then reads them a book.
Amanda, Negi, and I have read to them for 2 hours each.
After playing with the dollhouse, they're close to maxing Imagination.

Omu: Don't you think we should go help her?
Kirsten: Nah, she's fine! She's almost done and she's almost Logic 7.
It would be great if she could learn to mentor Logic.
Buying the Savant trait has done wonders for your Amanda, Omu.

Tuesday

Purin continues to seek ways to earn the elusive Keep Fit badge.

Omu: Could Purin be any cuter?
Takuya: Seriously doubt it!

It's alarming how quickly the girls get sleepy again!
And, yes, we're all wearing our cold-weather outfits indoors in fall and winter.

Even without using a thermostat, our weekly bills average $40k, which is more than our combined wages.
Can you imagine what would happen if we used the thermostat?

We occasionally need to ask Tetsu to help tend the garden.
Otherwise, he always knows exactly what to do.

As far as vampires go, my parents aren't that edgy at all.
With a full house, they can't exactly go snack-hunting at night.
But they could create a club filled with food sources!
Whenever their thirst runs high, they simply consume a few plasma packs.

Sorry for the toddler spam! (Not sorry.)
C'mon, humor me! The girls will only be toddlers for two more days!

If it weren't for that umbrella, Mama would look gorgeous and classy in her new career outfit.
Oooh, that reminds me….

You heard me, Takuya. Put your needless umbrella back in the stand.
You're immune to sunlight and you have the Waterproof trait.
You don't even need a darn umbrella! *nearly bursts a blood vessel

Purin brings home an A today and will never return to grade school.
Amanda's been reading Floral Arranging Vol. 2 ever since Purin left for school.
She leveled from Level 4 exactly to Level 5 and 40%. In seven hours…

Negi earns another promotion today and branches to the Journalist career.
I hope his boss doesn't mind that he's interviewing his parents, brother, and butler.
We're an outrageously famous family in our simverse, after all!

By 8:30 pm, Amanda still hasn't reached Level 6. That's less than 2 levels in 12+ hours.
On the other hand, she has Fishing 10, Gardening 9, and Charisma/Logic 6.
There's nothing wrong with her skilling competence.

Wednesday

Today is Winterfest. The children have been excited since yesterday about all the gifts.
Early in the morning, we open presents, exchange festival socials, and share a grand breakfast.
By the time I leave for work at 10 am, the only tradition remaining is Father Winter's visit.

The joyful day is briefly marred by a fire in the usual spot.
Our watcher encourages Papa to extinguish the fire.
But Tetsu the Butler runs over autonomously to help put it out.
He's such perfection!

You're surely wondering why it looks like a garage sale in our front yard.
After work, I'm waiting around for Father Winter's evening visit.
That's when I realize that today's our last chance for for a playdate with Negi's kids.

But we can't leave the lot or Papa (who's at work) will lose his Focused buff.
We end Winterfest then temporarily throw a bunch of "playdate stuff" in the yard.

Only Negi can invite his kids to a toddler playdate, so he makes the phone call.
His wife Celeste shows up with daughter Norah and son Markus.

Norah has Negi's black hair. She arrives wearing an angry frown.
After introducing myself, I try to comfort her but she pushes me away.

Negi is helping fussy Markus climb up the slide.
His son doesn't look much like Negi did as a toddler.

I'd like to have a son with Amanda soon.
I wonder if he and Markus would look alike at all.

Finally, I am able to wear down silly Norah's defenses!
She's quite cute when she smiles.
Omu started playing with Norah autonomously while I was watching Negi and Markus. So cute!

I find it odd how limited are toddlers' social interactions.
For example, they can't interact with aunts, uncles, grandparents, or cousins who aren't housemates.
That's why Raichi can't socialize with Norah or Markus.
But Shiso's a charmer so she can share the love with anyone.

It's 8:30. The girls are exhausted and getting grumpier by the minute.
We ended Winterfest before Father Winter's visit this evening.
But, frankly, I know how to lure Father Winter to the house anytime, hehe.

More important, we got to meet Negi's children.
Now any of us can invite Celeste, Norah, and Markus over!

Coming next: The twins age up "tomorrow morning," and Purin becomes a teen the day after!
(I'm a little too eager to see how all three girls age up.

Wow, your sims gave up Winterfest presents in favor of a toddler playdate?  That's dedication to family!  I'm glad they made that choice so we got to see Negi's toddlers.  Hopefully, Father Winter will still bring them some gifts.

@BallerinaHippo
My Sharebears have never asked Father Winter for presents, tbh. I'm not sure if it's because I don't celebrate Christmas in real life.
Also, the household was already quite affluent when Seasons came out, so Father Winter's gifts didn't seem as "meaningful."

The household had been waiting around for Father Winter to visit, but then I really wanted to see Negi's kids as toddlers.
Since the mothers are identical (near-identical?) twins, I wanted to know if the cousins looked like each other.

For whenever you get Seasons, I'll share the fact that "Father Winter" can be added as a holiday tradition to any holiday a watcher creates.
As long as there's a fireplace and decorative gifts lying around, Father Winter will arrive and the family can ask for gifts.
Doesn't even have to be winter... Haha, what a cynical, Scrooge thing to write, eh?

With the exception of toddler grinding, watching the little ones grow up has to be one of the most enjoyable aspects of simming.
Each and every toddler is adorable, without fail!

Sharebears 6.62: Home-Schooling, for Sure!
« Reply #412 on: September 24, 2018, 02:57:47 AM »

Childhood approacheth…

6.62: Home-Schooling, For Sure!

Week 19/Thursday (Winter, Day 5)

Heyo, it's me, Purin. Brother Omu says I can chat with y'all for a few hours.
I've been struggling to raise my Responsibility value lately.

As you know, Papa hardly lets me go to school much so I don't do much homework.
Making messes for my Civic Responsibility badge didn't help, either.
Then, I think up a brilliant scam, um, I mean strategy!
I just place the toys around the house and put them away. Hah!

My birthday's sometime tomorrow, so I have a day or so to make 3 grade-school friends.
Teen friends don't count, do they?

Anyway, I fire up Da Cubs, which is the club Brother Negi recently gave me.
Restricting club admission to "Child," I find 27 grade-schoolers in our world.
Yowza! If you've ever wondered, now you know how the MCCC mod handles auto-population.

I'm planning to befriend three of these six kids!
Aubrey, Josh, and Ashton Vatore are triplets living in Forgotten Hollow.
I also add Michael and Brandon Salavani, though they don't look like twins.
I pick Judah Jimenez for a different reason.

To my surprise, 4 out of the 6 kids have unique traits. That's pretty amazing!
The Salavani household lives next door to the Vatores, so I had high hopes for Brandon (below).
He's pretty cute but mean, though, so I'll pass on him as one of my Social Butterfly friends.

Wanna know why I'm going on about Forgotten Hollow? Only vampires can move there.
The Vatore kids will surely become vampires like both their parents.
The Savalanis are also vampires, so Brandon and Michael should be, too.

Here I am with Michael Savalani (left) and Judah Jimenez (right).
Judah lives in a ritzy penthouse in San Myshuno, so no way he's a born vampire.
But I want him for my friend cuz he's so cute. That's important, too, gnome sayin'?

Judah is a glutton, which isn't a unique trait.
That's a negative for our legacy, but a positive for me, amirite?

Omu: Everyone's hard work pays off in spades when the girls age up!
They're both Top-Notch Toddlers and aspiring Rambunctious Scamps.
Needless to say, they remain identical twins.

They share the exact same eye color and eye shape as their Auntie Purin.
But they have Amanda's darker skin and larger nose, with my lips.

I must say I'm in total agreement with my father.
These girls should be home-schooled. Less association with riff-raff, the better!

After the girls get makeovers, we realize today's the Season TV Premiere.
Unfortunately, last night's fire destroyed our TV which has to be replaced.
Negi and Amanda don't have to time to watch the whole premiere before work.
But the rest of us rather enjoy the surprise holiday together.

I'm puzzled to hear Papa ask Mama to do the Soulmates aspiration with him.
It's not like we'll ever earn another Popularity point, y'know?

Takuya: Oh please, son. Not everything's about the legacy score.
I've decided to move out as soon as I max my career.
There's nothing I'd rather do during my last days here than romance my beautiful wife.

Omu: Okay, girls! Let's see how long it takes you to knock out Rambunctious Scamp!
Oh, good job on earning your Give Back badges already!

I don't mind that I didn't get promoted to Level 7, like Negi and Amanda did.
They joined their careers at Level 5, whereas I started at Level 3. I'm doing fine!

Papa earns a promotion tonight, too.
He only needs one more promotion to max his Diamond Agent career.

Friday

Kirsten: You're putting a lot of thought and effort into your massage tonight, darling.
And I notice you haven't visited the Wishing Well yet, either.
Is this all some devious plan to convince me you should stay in the house longer?
I'm totally buying it!

Omu: I've never heard of children dying from excessive emotion.
When I notice the girls are both hysterical, though, I send them to calm down.
Better safe than sorry.

The Well instantly grants Papa a full promotion. Nice!
I wonder if that means he's moving out?
Also, I wonder when he and Mama had my sister Purin?
As you might guess, Amanda and I are getting eager to have another child.

Grandpa Jaga passed away this morning.
Soon after we get his death notice, his ghost phones me to say he wants to chat.
I'm surprised that he wants to share "juicy gossip" about his fourth child, Miklas.
Who does that?

My sister Purin also celebrates her teen birthday this morning.
Our butler Tetsu is the most exuberant celebrant of birthdays!
My father, not so much.

You may remember that Purin is a born vampire, so she's come into her powers.
She's retained Papa's white hair, as you can see.
Sorry, Purin! No makeover for you until after Mama finishes work at 10 pm!

There we go, sis!
In view of your name, Purin, your color theme should be yellows and browns.
With your hair color, however, you look nicer in greys (like Papa and me).

Purin has Mama's Insider trait and gains Papa's Music Lover trait.
Our neglected garden awaits you, girl!

Now that Mama's home, we head over to Affluista Mansion in Oasis Springs.
That's been the home of Grandpa Jaga, his brother Hakuto, and their families.
Only their children live there now.

I retrieve the urns in the foyer while Mama comforts her mother.
The white ghost is Grand-Uncle Hakuto, and the yellow ghost is his wife Yesenia.

Saturday

Back home, I add another holiday tradition to Sharebears Day.
This holiday celebrates the anniversary of our legacy's start on the first day of spring.
We've added a tradition for the passing of the founder and three former heirs.
Each tradition should reflect the sim it commemorates:
*Our founder Sherilee: the Gardening tradition because she loved the outdoors;
*Great-Great-Grandpa Benicio the Archaeology Scholar: the Travel/Vacation tradition;
*Great-Grandma Edamame, who raised 10 children, the Grand Meal tradition; and
*Grandpa Jaga, the Drinking tradition because he so loved to mix drinks.

Sure, Papa mentored Negi and I when we were children and teenagers.
But with Purin, Papa's gone full-on Helicopter Dad.
Do you think it's because she's a vampire or because she's a girl? Or both?
The instant she's ready for vampiric training, Papa's already teleported there to offer it.

Papa says he'll move out once he's completed Soulmate with Mama.
He only needs 20+ romantic socials. Hah! Since yesterday, he's hardly done any.
He spends more time hovering around Purin than romancing our mother!

Although both Raichi and Shiso are Top-Notch Toddlers, they behave quite differently.
Active Raichi makes faster progress.
She's consistently ahead of Shiso with aspirations and scouting badges.
As an Artistic Prodigy, she's at Creativity 9 after painting 3 out of the 5 drawings.

Shiso is slower because she's a Perfectionist.
After just completing 1 out of the 5 drawings, she's already maxed Creativity.
She'll probably finish Artistic Prodigy at least 2 hours later than Rai does.

Oh, wait! Purin reached Creativity 10 before she'd started any of the 5 drawings.

Amanda: Ahem!
Kirstne: Yes?
Amanda: Far be it for me to question six generations of this legacy's educational policy...
Kirsten: But?

Amanda: But…shouldn't the girls be doing these school projects themselves?
Kirsten: Pshaw! Don't be such a stickler! Hey, how do you like my new career outfit?

Chapter Notes

Auto-Population with MCCC: When filtered using "Child" as the admission requirement, Purin found three pages of 9 children each.
I'm pretty sure this is mostly a coincidence of timing.
Social Butterflies of other generations haven't had such a huge pool of same-age children.

Vampire Households: I've set up MCCC so that only vampires can move into any household with the Registered Vampire Lair lot trait.
This allows me to make Forgotten Hollow a vampire-only neighborhood. They're growing in number, though, so I'm planning to designate 2-3 more vampire-only lots.

@LenaLJ
With this generation, I started a new "system" of mapping out the entire generation's updates with consideration for family events (like birthdays) and holidays.
Unexpectedly, this allows me to play and write more quickly because I'm not just aimlessly playing until I run out of time or exceed the image limit.
I'm also too eager to see this generation's daughters as teens.

I thought genes related to lighter colors (eyes, hair, skintone) tend to be less dominant.
So I'm delighted that your Maja's eye color has passed down to her daughter Kirsten, grandkids Omu and Purin, and even her great-grandkids!

Wow, look at 'em all go!  They are just flying through this.  And the girls are so cute!  Purin is a doll! Your family genetics are so lovely ^^
@Shewolf13
Haha, my sims are "flying" now because I'm so happy to be almost done with Kirsten's Gen5 generation's time-consuming aspirations and their many careers!
Purin really has great features! As for genetics, that mailman Takuya was such a lucky find! I didn't even have to change his hairstyle, lol!
My enthusiasm for my Sharebears started flagging a few weeks ago. It's good to take breaks!
Omu and Amanda have one more kid on the way now. ;D

Sharebears 6.63: Holiday Overdose
« Reply #416 on: September 25, 2018, 02:49:09 AM »

First snow

6.63: Holiday Overdose

Week 18/Saturday (Winter, Day 7)

Omu: Today, we celebrate the last day of the year!
Most of the day, we exchange festive socials and make resolutions.
Purin discovers that Tetsu the Butler also excels at celebrating holidays.

We've enjoyed great weather throughout the winter season.
On the way to a Scout meeting, the girls experience their first snow..

By late afternoon, we're all on our second round of resolutions.
I've been lazy and simply chose the "Raise a skill" resolution twice.

For his second resolution, Papa choses "Complete an aspiration milestone."
He proceeds to romance Mama until he completes Soulmates.
After that, he begins preparing to move out.

Purin chooses a "Raise a skill" resolution, too.
While gardening outdoors, though, she starts sizzling.
Not a problem! She can read a Gardening skill book indoors!
Or she can research plants in the greenhouse, I guess.

The twins are now aspiring Social Butterflies.
We invite over their Great-Grandma Maja and Grandaunt Liv for them.
It's our usual ploy: get mentored to make adult friends.

Papa feels so reluctant to move out before Purin is fully sunlight-resistant.
But he offers her training one last time then moves out.
Papa's still in our club so it's not like we'll never see him again!

He lives in South Newcrest now. We'll visit him sometime soon.

The moment Papa is out the door, Amanda and I get busy!
Amanda's already reached Level 8 as a Level Floral Designer. Shock!
And she's reached Flower Arranging 8, a skill she needs to max.
Mama insists we should let Amanda raise the next toddler, hehe? Apron strings, who me?

Do you remember Negi's toddlers, Markus and Norah?
Shiso discovers they're children now and invites them over.
Markus the bookworm has the same droopy eyes as our twins.
Norah the slob looks much as she did as a toddler.
Our Social Butterflies welcome you both into their fold!

Raichi is the only one who hasn't reached gold status for New Year's Eve.
She needs to watch the Midnight Countdown, so Negi and I join her.
Happy New Year! *throws confetti

Week 20/Sunday (Spring, Day 1)

Sharebear Day, one of our two legacy holidays, begins at 6 a.m.
Purin welcomes in the new year by casting hallucination on our butler.
It's nothing personal, Tetsu!

After crafting 6-7 floral arrangements, Amanda's skill barely budges.
So, she's back to reading her Vol. 3 skill book again.
The twins are on to Whiz Kid, as you've probably guessed.

Mama works today from 6 but she hires a nanny before leaving for work.
A nanny, that is, for Purin.
Way to transform a useless nanny into a semi-useful sim.
Don't forget to cast hallucination on her next, Purin!

Mama surprises us by coming home at 1 pm with her Level 10 promotion.
But she hesitates to tempt fate by rushing to the Wishing Well.
Instead she tries completing a few of our holiday traditions.

Don't laugh but Mama didn't notice her next shift started an hour later at 2 pm!
While putzing around having drinks for a holiday tradition, she gets a call from her boss at 3!
That's when she runs back to the Wishing Well.
With a guaranteed promotion, she arrives at work fashionably late.

Omu: You mean to tell me you went to work two hours late and still got promoted?
Kirsten: Glory to the Wishing Well, son!
Omu: So what now? Please don't leave to live with Papa right away!

Kirsten: If I leave now, you can have two sons instead of one. Sound good?
Omu: Hardly.
Kirsten: What if I stay until Purin's YA birthday then…*whisper, whisper

To fulfill our Travel/Vacation holiday tradition, I take everyone to Narwhal Arms.
This suits Rai and Shiso just fine, since their Keep Fit badge isn't done.
We dance well past midnight!

Monday

Thankfully, today is not a holiday.

Negi and I got notices yesterday about our impending adult birthdays.
We decide it's a good time to start the Bodybuilder aspiration.
Amanda in her third trimester comes along with us.
How odd that she can lift weights but not run on the treadmill.

Amanda's been doing great lately.
She's only two promotions away from maxing her career.
And this morning she reaches Floral Arranging 9!
But, obviously, we didn't plan our third child around her work schedule.

She's off today, giving birth in the late afternoon.
She's also off tomorrow, when our nooboo ages up to a toddler.
Then she works all four days of our child's toddler stage. Lol!

All three girls come home with 'A' grades today.
Mama is writing them excuse notes for tomorrow.
Purin, Rai, and Shiso are done with their schools for the rest of the week.
Negi also gets promoted to Journalist 8, so he's caught up with Amanda.

Amanda phones me at work to say she's given birth to a boy.
She wonders about the red-and-blue cross on the floor in front of the bassinet.
Do you think that's related to our On Ley Line lot trait?
That cross mark has appeared at every birth in each generation.
Still, nobody's figured out what exactly it is.

Amanda names our son Renkon, which means "lotus root."
It's the edible rhizome (root) of the lotus plant.
We'll call him by the nickname Ren, which rhymes with the bird "wren."

I don't earn a promotion today, so I'm still a Level 7 Food Critic.
That doesn't bother me at all.
I have a lovely, hard-working wife and two brilliant twin girls.
My mother and twin brother support me in everything I do.
And now, Amanda and I have a son. My life is perfection!

I hasten to the bassinet to greet little Ren.
What a healthy-looking nooboo!
And his eyes! What about his eyes? They seem…brown?
Will they be green like Amanda's eyes or grey like mine?

Oh! I can't wait until tomorrow to find out!

Legacy Score: unchanged (90 points)
Nature (0): Maxed Secret Agent/Villain (26/37 careers)

Chapter  Notes

Holidays: The twins have earned so much satisfaction from holidays!
They've finished all 4 child aspirations with 3 days until they're teens.
Currently, Raichi has 5,600 points, while Shiso has 6,500 points.
I haven't even been paying any attention to their whims!

On Ley Line: Anyone else seeing that red/blue cross mark on the floor?
It appears briefly when the in-labor sim steps up to the bassinet.

All girls are so pretty, Purin would have been a wonderfull heir too, but sadly she could not be chosen. Good Omu is doing a fantastic job in that department already.

Raichi and Shiso are both so cute too. And now another baby, a house of really good looking sims :D
@LenaLJ
Although I'm playing Strict Equality, I'm also curious what a child of the opposite gender would look like.
Purin could be Omu's identical twin sister. :D
After the time-consuming vampire aspirations and Outdoor Enthusiast, Omu's generation feels really smooth.
I don't know if it was just my imagination or not, but Akito's representation campaigns seemed to give nice boosts to career performance bars.
I never actually "saw" the boosts, but Kirsten's generation really moved through their promotions quickly.
When you play your Social Media/Public Relations sim, I'm very curious what your impressions will be.

Sharebears 6.64: Oh, Well!

Not all postmen are created equal...

6.64: Oh, Well!

Week 19/Tuesday

Early this morning, Amanda maxes Flower Arranging.
She's done with her career-related skilling now.

Last night, her parents passed.
It's a great comfort to her that they stay in touch.

Negi and I receive our second notices for our adult birthday around 7 am.
My work shift ends at 7 pm today and I don't want to risk leaving early.
So, we immediately drink our potions of youth, without thinking things through first.

Gah, I should have waited until right before leaving for work in the afternoon!
And Negi gets home from work at 4 pm.
Oh well, what's a few hours here or there?

I convince Purin not to "always move in bat form."
While tending the garden, she changes into a bat between planters, each and every time.
She's going to deplete her vampire energy and miss chances to train!
(It's also a bit annoying to watch!)

Speaking of annoying, Mama had Papa reconfigure his vampire powers before moving out.
She convinced him to replace his Bat Form and Mist Form powers with Supernatural Speed.
Now that Papa lives elsewhere, he moves around our house as he pleases.
But with Supernatural Speed, we at least know where he's going.
Dang, Papa picked up another umbrella after moving out!!!

Since Purin's done with Freelance Botanist, she's starting Nerd Brain.
She asks Mama to hang out nearby while she reads.
(We're not really sure the Matriarch/Patriarch trait affects skills gained by reading.)

So then, Mama calls Papa over to continue romancing him for Soulmates.
Must have been pretty awkward for Purin!

I bet you never even knew we had a sink in our home!
That sink's actually locked away for use exclusively by children.
Raichi's brushing her teeth to raise her responsibility. Shiso wants to learn emotional control.

Amanda texts me some photos of Renkon after he ages up to a toddler.
I'm surprised by his blond hair, but I think he should keep it.
Because of his hair color, though, it's hard to tell what color his eyes are.
Green? Grey?

Custom-authored skill books are the way to go.
With Mama nearby, Purin reads three skill books for Nerd Brain.

She reads a Comedy skill book bought from the bookcase, reaching Comedy 4.5.
Next, she selects the Peace and Quiet lot trait.
The bookcase-bought Wellness skill book takes her to Level 5.
Finally, she reads the Handiness bestseller written by Papa Takuya.
She ends up just 2-3 points short of Level 6!

Of course, her trait-based skill boosts might also be a factor. (She's Top-Notch.)
But Happy Toddler Negi read Papa's Handiness book and reached Level 5.

When I'm back home, Ren gets his makeover and I check his eye color.
They're definitely green!
Oh, and he's an angelic toddler.

Mama's already started writing skill books for Fitness and Mischief.
However, Negi's Writer career enables him to write novels faster.
He's really the one who should be writing skill books.

Kirsten: Hey, I'm writing the Fitness and Mischief ones to save Negi time.
Negi: Thanks, Mama. Once I've finish Bodybuilder, I'll be sure to help out.
Besides skill books, I'll also write Books of Life for Purin and your three kids, Omu.

Omu: Do we really need to kill ourselves over helping Ren to max his toddler skills?
My wife Amanda joined us with zero skills and no bonus or reward traits.
As of today, she's maxed Gardening, Flower Arranging, and most recently Charisma.

Charisma's turned out to be a complete waste of time for her!
Why? Because she'll earn her Level 9 promotion tomorrow.
She won't get much use out of negotiating for bonuses.

Wednesday

My materialistic brother Negi especially adores today's holiday, Lottery Day.
After buying a lottery ticket on his phone, he goes to resume writing a book.
The computer shows an option to buy a lottery ticket, too, so he tries to buy another.
Nope! It's just a tease, bro!

The girls wanted to hang out at Cavalier Cove and fish today, but it's raining out.
I encourage them to practice epic storytelling, but I feel a bit guilty.
Possibly, I could let them do whatever they want to do.
Erm, but I don't…

Since Amanda has the waterproof trait, she's gone out jogging in the rain.
When I check, she's over by the slope leading to Chateau Frise.
I haven't the foggiest idea what she's doing. Swimming in the ground?

Hah! Just because our twins are children, you thought I'd stop with the toddler spam.
Guess again!
Your honest opinions, please. Isn't Ren the cutest?
Question: Does white hair and dark brown hair equal blond hair?

Kirsten: I see you are also a connoisseur of head gear, my dearest son.
Myself, I prefer to wear the beekeeper hat and veil during an aromatherapy massage.
Omu: I prefer the astronaut helmet.
I find the full-head coverage keeps my face from squishing against the massage table.

Why is this even happening? Somebody help make it stop!!!

Negi, Amanda, and I all return home from work at 4 pm.
As expected, both Negi and Amanda earn their Level 9 promotions.

You know, I was quite fine with being a bit behind the both of them.
But I'm so close to my Level 9 promotion today that I'm feeling a tad mortified.
Look how close I was to getting promoted! Oh well, tomorrow for sure!

Negi makes a beeline for the Wishing Well and receives a guaranteed promotion after his next work shift.
All he has to do is go to work tomorrow, the lucky dawg!

You may notice that we now have not one, but two Wishing Wells.
Amanda can make offerings just fine. And she can make all but one type of wish.
For some bizarre reason, she cannot wish for a promotion.

She buys a second well, just in case the problem lies with the first well. Nope.
Our watcher saves and reboots, but Amanda still can't wish for a promotion.

Thursday

Amanda waits another eight hours or so then tries again, but still no luck.
She'll be earning her last promotion without the help of the well. Oh, well.

By the way, I suddenly notice that our butler Tetsu's gone after that last reboot.
I frantically phone the Windenburg Butlering Academy to hire a butler.
What a relief to see Tetsu stride through the front door! What a scare!

How can I ensure that Tetsu would never want to leave us?
Oh, I know! I'll remodel his living quarters!
He's always had that Cordelia bed and the light well, but his room's pretty bare.
I expand his main room and ensuite, then add furnishings and décor.
Among this house's bedrooms, Tetsu's room has the highest Environment score of all.
That's how strong our love is, Tetsu!

When Purin becomes a Master Vampire, she drinks a Draught of Reconfiguration.
Now, she has full sunlight resistance plus Supernatural Speed.
After seeing Papa, she's decided Supernatural Speed is cooler than teleporting.
Heck, if she also wants to teleport, she can always learn Wellness!

Purin joins us in the Writing Room, where Negi and I are writing skill books.
But she's too young to finish Renaissance Sim so she can't write skill books (yet).

After her birthday on Friday, Purin will be joining the Comedian career.
So she's raising her Comedy skill by writing jokes and composing short routines.
We're being extra careful to avoid hysteria.

I had no idea how industrious my twins have been!
They've maxed 3 adult skills already!
What can they do for fun indoors? There's TV, video gaming, Voidcritters…
Oh, I know!

Just think, my little girls become teenagers in several more hours!
