I love Tarlocks name but I think Teagan is gonna be the cutest sibling

Wow Oferatu came and went pretty fast, Poor Elvain it's a shame because he's so cute but Shiso doesn't see that lmao

I never realised Vampiers could have pointy ears I've been doing it wrong all this time lol  :'(

Awww, those boys are so cute!  Hehehe, Celtic includes Ireland, Scotland, Wales, and the surrounding areas.  I believe each has slightly different variations on names ^^  Awww, loving Rai and Vincent ^^
@Shewolf13
Hahaha, I ended up picking Celtic boys' names that I liked without checking their origin.
Oh well, the names are just a link to kilts as I won't be attempting a Highlander renactment.
When I went to look up the meaning/origins of their names on different websites, I realized I didn't have a single "Scottish" name. Hah!
As for Rai and Vincent, she introduced Vincent to her closet and he turned out to be really handsome with a different hairstyle. Can't fight the genes!

I'm beyond impatient to see how the boys age up! Fortunately, their toddler stage is only 4 days long, hehe.
Moving out Orfeu killed me but I noticed that Shiso has been most attracted to Ronan.
Curiously, Rai and Elvain get whims to socialize with each other.
A major secret lies waiting to be unveiled....

You can make non-vampire sims with pointy ears, too.
Or did I do that with custom content? Now I can't remember.

Oh, they're too cute. Tristan's fussiness will make him happy to get his way each time he's the one asking for things. So, not sure a skill is boosted, but there's plenty of occasion to increase communication. I like how you have one fair skinned boy, a red-head other, and a clear eyed third. Feels like they all took something from their viking culture.

Rai's kid will be born in time to come to a toddler party, right?  ::)

Not sure what happened with my 10gen, and the ley line worked for everyone else except heirs (pollinating/other in house) so probably lack of luck? Hospital births might have interfered too, but I wanted the certificate.

Elvain's plan was thwarted... Too bad for him.

@Tynynounours
I love the way you look at the Fussy trait! Unless I have to roll traits, I've always avoided that trait but Tristan has been an easy toddler to handle so far.
Yes, the boys all turned out quite differently, didn't they?
The birth certificate is such a compelling incentive for hospital births!
As for Orfeu, I miss him already! :(

Sharebears 7.73: Toddler Daze

7.73: Toddler Daze

Week 22/Monday

Shiso: It's so fascinating how each boy develops at his own pace.
Silly Tarlock is first to max Imagination, though the others aren't far behind.
To our surprise, fussy Tristan (left) is the first to reach Movement 2 and play.
Next is Teagan (left), but Tarlock needs to learn to stack blocks a while longer.

Tegan is currently ahead in the "potty race."
If Tristan (center) can keep his fussiness in check, all three will do well.
With my grandparents' cooperation, they might even become Top-Notch Toddlers.

Publishing 10 novels enables Ronan to buy Connections at last.
He's even written two bestsellers already!
Of course, that won't happen when he reaches Tier IV--it's Murphy's Law!
(And yes, he might have published novels written by other Sharebears. Your point?)

Though Ronan can't afford Entrepreneurial yet, he joins the Business career anyway.
Level 3 Charisma? No problem!
He starts by reading a Charisma besteller authored by Uncle Negi.

I'm an erratic mother, but I'm doing the best I can!
It's hard to raise the boys when both Elvain and Ronan are playing skilling catch-up!
Thankfully, Papa and Rai help whenever they can!
And if I can catch my grandparents in one place, they help out, too.

Speaking of my grandparents, they thoughtlessly smooch wherever and whenever!
Look at how the sight of them enthralls Teagan and Tristan.
Regardless, it's nice that the boys can grow up around their great-grandparents.

While Rai is waiting to leave for work, Vincent phones her with great news.
He gave birth to twins, Miguel and Patrice.
Oh, I can't wait to meet them!
I wonder if Papa's noticed his new Patriarch trait?

Grandma has started to do that weird thing that Grandpa does.
She hunches over and covers her mouth like she's going to throw up.
And, for heaven's sake, why is she in her dark form, anyway?

Shiso: Congrats on your first promotion, Elvain!
Elvain: Yeah, it feels great to branch to the Comedian career!
But why do you want me to perform my comedy routines on the porch?
Shiso: I'm just trying to prevent anyone becoming hysteria.
And there's a mirror right nearby if you get overly playful.

Tuesday

Shiso: That dreadful nanny is as useless as always.
First, after looking for her for hours, I find her and Grandma watching TV in the gym.
Apparently, all the doors in the house have unlocked, darn it.
Papa, you're just as bad. Can't you see that the garden needs tending?

I might need to remove Grandma from our family club.
Why does she need to lurk around Ronan in her dark form?
Also, I distinctly remember our watcher removing her Bat and Mist Teleport powers.
And yet she continues to flit around the house. It's quite annoying!

Back to a more pleasant topic: Toddler spam!
Look at what a solemn little fellow Tristan is!

Grandpa complains that none of his great-grandsons resemble him.
But he gives his undivided attention to any toddler quick enough to catch him.
How long will Tarlock be able to continually chain "teach me" requests?

I have a feeling that Teagan will grow up to become the most charming of the three.
He's only a toddler yet he's already mastered the art of the lopsided smirk!

I've asked Elvain to help out with The Nanny Problem.
The last time she became a vampire, she lost her nanny job.
Let's hope that happens again!

Elvain wants to know whether negotiating for a bonus is really worth it or not.
So Rai offers before and after shots to satisfy his curiosity.
A successful negotiation doesn't result in a huge performance boost.
But every little bit counts, right?

Ronan goes to work for the first time and earns a promotion.
But mostly I wanted to show you how nice he looks in his new suit.
This is also a reminder of what a handsome devil Ronan is.

Wednesday

The three musketeers have awaken from their beauty sleep, um, naps!

You've figured it out by now, haven't you?
This chapter is merely toddler spam pretending to be an update.
I can't help myself! My adorable toddlers age up to children tomorrow!

Tristan and his grandpa!
I'm so proud of Tristan!
Despite his fussy trait, he hasn't been difficult at all!

All three of them will definitely become Top-Notch Toddlers by tomorrow.
Independent Teagan is the closest, followed by Tristan.
Tarlock's frequent playful mood only helps with Imagination.

Papa's been a tremendous help with the boys.
I still feel bad about asking Mama and Ren to move out last week.
Well, it's too late now to worry about whether I made the wrong decision.
I really wish Orfeu would visit us sometimes.

I'm glad to see that Elvain and Rai have become good friends.
Work and the boys have kept me so busy, I haven't had much time for much else.
He complains often about his (lack of) love life, but otherwise doesn't act jealous.
Elvain should be fine as long as he keeps his distance from my grandparents.

Now that the boys are asleep, I have the time to hang out with Tetsu.
Who? The nanny? Oh, we're waiting for her to transform then go away.

Well, my sister leaves for work in an hour, so I'm closing this update here.
Please join us next time for our sons' birthdays.

No excuse needed for toddler spam!  Especially not with those three cuties!  I'm looking forward to seeing Rai's twins, too.

I was surprised when you cured the nanny the first time.  Although it was nice of your Sharebears to give her a second chance, she totally blew it.  Too bad for her.

@Shewolf13
Thank you for that! With my four-day toddler stage, every little thing they do is so precious, haha.

@BallerinaHippo
I really wanted Rai to host a toddler playdate with her twins and Purin's twins.
But with four working adults, I just couldn't juggle the work schedules and the boys' sleep/wake schedule.
As for the nanny, I had a twinge of conscience at the last minute the first time. I was THIS close to selling that last vampire cure.
Now that she's no longer our nanny, she constantly phones my Sharebears day and night. I'm convinced she lives to annoy me!

Sharebears 7.74: Another Drastic Decision
« Reply #473 on: October 15, 2018, 06:38:44 PM »

Potty, potty, potty!

7.74: Another Drastic Decision

Week 22/Wednesday (Fall, Day 4)

Shiso: Now that I've seen Rai and Ronan off to work, how are my boys doing?
Oh no, they're sleeping but their bladders are about to burst.
After I wake them, Tristan is the first to run to his potty.
In fact, Teagan maxes Movement while speeding toward his potty.

Bladder crisis averted, they realize they are positively starving.
Breakfast for the boys is a serious matter, indeed!

It's still morning when the nanny suddenly transforms.
While watching her transformation, redheaded Tarlock maxes Thinking.

Once she's done, I fire her to see what happens next. Good riddance!

Shiso: What did you say, Papa?
Omu: I said that helmet distracts me and it doesn't become you.
Shiso: Really, Papa? You think I choose to wear this during your wonderful massage?

Shiso: Elvain has completed the Jokestar aspiration and maxed Charisma, too.
He's off until tomorrow afternoon so Grandma and Rai have been helping with his skills.
After he maxes Logic and Painting, Rai continues to mentor him on the violin.
He'll be a great help when the boys start their childhood aspirations!

Neither Rai, Ronan, or I earn promotions today, but we all came very close!
Have you seen me in my career outfit yet? The pink beret is a perfect accent, yes?

Thursday

It's time for our boys to age up!
Papa, Ronan, and I prepare to help them blow out their birthday candles.
First up is our firstborn son, Tristan.

By the time Teagan is ready to go, almost everybody is celebrating.
Tristan blows a horn, Tarlock sings, I pop a party popper, and Papa just stands there.

Here are my beautiful boys both as toddlers and as children!
All three of them earn the Top-Notch Toddler trait.

Luckily, Rai is off today or they wouldn't have gotten makeovers until tonight!
I let Tarlock and Teagan keep the hair they aged up with.

Tristan initially had the same hair as Teagan, so it's changed to match his classic look.
Tarlock wears a playful orange look, while Teagan sports a rugged look in blue.
They've kept the same colors they wore as toddlers.

Today is the second anniversary of the death of our founder, Sherilee Sharebear.
Ronan has just enough time to mourn our Sharebear ancestors before leaving for work.

Last night, a new nanny unexpectedly arrived though we didn't phone for him.
I could only learn that Khaled Mounib (our nanny) is a jealous geek.
This morning Papa learns that Khaled also has the good trait.
Still, I can't help but worry. Does a flirty jealous sim make an effective nanny?

Papa and I had a long discussion yesterday about my discomfort with my grandparents.
Grandma never hides her dark form anymore and Grandpa always wears his speedo.
At this point, they are both younger than my sister Rai and I.
As the active heir, I persuade my grandparents to let me mix them vampire cures.

After they're cured, Papa ages them both up to adults.
They're now exactly a week older than Papa. This is how things should be.

Yes, this is another of my drastic decisions but I'm an erratic sim, remember?
During my reign as heir, I'll be shaking things up like you won't believe!

Meanwhile, the boys all join Scouts.
Tristan is an artistic prodigy.
When he finishes his first two drawings, he's already Creativity 7.
Great job encouraging Tristan Elvain!

Both Tarlock and Teagan are rambunctious scamps.
You might recall that all three boys were born on Talk Like a Pirate Day.
That's why I've replaced the spaceship with a pirate ship jungle gym.

Tarlock and Teagan make quick work out of playing on the pirate ship.
Tetsu is quite touched to receive gifts from the boys.
Apparently, he'd never received a gift from any Sharebear before!

Later, while they're practicing typing, Teagan gets a text message from Orfeu.
Among the boys, I'd thought Orfeu was closet to Tristan.
Perhaps Orfeu texted all three of them? I keep forgetting to invite him over!

Friday

Teagan and Tarlock start their second aspiration.
We've removed my grandparents from the family club for now.
They've worked hard for this legacy and deserve some rest and relaxation.
By the way, they're living at Chateau Frise with Mama Amanda and Ren.

Ronan needs Logic for his business career.
Since Tristan hasn't started his second aspiration yet, Ronan invites him to play.
Oh, for shame, Ronan!

It must a little lonely for Tristan, doing Artistic Prodigy and Rambunctious Scamp by himself.
Rai's planning to sit nearby while he practices typing and plays Keyboard Commander.
That way, he can socialize with her for his Sociability and Good Deeds badges.

In the afternoon, Papa spies a lovely young lady and introduces himself.
She is a single young adult, but she's evil which is a deal-breaker.
Why tolerate an evil sim when that trait isn't even unique anymore?
Too bad, because she's very pretty!

The boys bring home "B" grades from their first day of school.
I wonder why only Teagan has that rainbow over his head?
If I weren't at work, I would have checked the boys' moodlets.

After work tonight, Elvain successfully negotiates another bonus!
It's tragic that he's a Level 6 Comedian but only works 3 days a week.
How is he supposed to get ahead if he never works?

Despite starting several days later, Ronan is already Level 6 in his Business career.
It helps that Ronan works every day.
And he maxed his charisma this evening, so he can start negotiating for bonuses, too!
On the minus side, he still needs to write those three bestsellers.

Saturday

Shiso: Our watcher and I have been thinking about the boys' future careers lately.
Perhaps Tristan would be best choice for the new Style Influencer career?
He's neat and rather picky about what he wears.
We'll have to watch them all as they grow.

Chapter Notes

Skilling discrepancies:
For Artistic Prodigy, the three boys each played a musical instrument for 5 hours.
*Tristan reached Violin 5.5 (mentored by the nanny);
*Tarlock reached Piano 6.5 (mentored by Omu with the Mentor trait); and
*Teagan reached Violin 8 (mentored by Shiso with the Mentor trait).
I wonder what accounts for the difference in levels?

Bestselling Author:
Now that Ronan needs to write 3 bestsellers, he of course writes only Excellent novels. It's killing me!
He has Creative Visionary and Writing 10 with the Home Studio lot trait, but....nada.
Note to self: Do not squander Writer careers on sims who don't have Bestselling Author as their default aspiration.

@Shewolf13
That is deeply odd, right? It bothers me that I can't figure why the boys don't end up at the same level after playing an instrument for 5 hours.
The biggest difference was between Tristan and Teagan, so perhaps the nanny just sucks at mentoring?
It's hard to give the boys strong personalities based on a single trait, but I'll try harder next time. ;D

@LenaLJ
You know how it goes with the short lifespan! After they're born, they're toddlers the next day and then they're children four days after that.
They'll be teens in another sim week!!!
Yes, I'm very happy with how they look. I'm especially excited that Maja Jensen's eye color passed down three generations to Teagan.

I'm a little worried that the next update will unveil the Style Influencer career which branches to Trendsetter and Stylist.
I bet the Get Famous pack will also introduce at least two careers....

I don't remember what I was trying to say when I mentioned that I was worried.
What I meant, I think, was that I'd rather have the new careers unveiled in pairs, rather than having 3-4 new careers come out at the same time.
Does that make any sense?

Ah ok, yeah, that makes perfect sense. Hopefully, they do the new Styler career and then have a couple weeks before Get Famous comes out.
