"Old" Members
« on: March 13, 2011, 11:56:17 PM »
Hm, I was looking though the boards, and I found we had quite a few members that hadn't posted for ages. There are a lot of Forum Newbies, who only posted once, or twice, maybe with a question. But the only "established" members I can think of that haven't posted for a while are TommyT (Last active, January 16, 2011) and PJSim (Last active, October 29, 2010)
Can anybody think of any others?

TommyT joined the Coast Guard.  PJSim has moved on to other things, but will be welcomed back as a moderator if she ever chooses to return.

The Coast Guard? What is that, and why did it stop him from posting on the Forum? And I never realised PJ, was a mod :)

The Coast Guard is a branch of the military here in America.  They're mostly responsible for enforcing Maritime law in national waters, and are often involved in rescue operations off the coasts.  They're very similar to the Navy, except that the Navy tends to operate more in international waters while the Coast Guard operates more in American waters.

Ah, thank you Hosfac!
I see why he can't visit the Forum anymore, then. :(

In the UK the Coast Guard are normally a charity called the RNLI who run the Life Boats and rescue operations along the coast.

TommyT is in the U.S., though, so he's in the military as Hosfac explained.  Or he soon will be.  I don't know when he's supposed to start.

PJ was actually our first moderator from the Forum population.  She doesn't show up as a moderator now because I switched her back to normal access.  But as I said above, she can return to being a moderator any time she chooses.

That's one of the United States' Coast Guard's responsibilities too, although I wouldn't exactly call them a charity.  During times of war, they can fall under the Navy's jurisdiction, although I'm not sure how often this actually happens.

Other popular members are LlamaMama (last active January 9, 2011, 1190 posts) and RockinRobin (last active March 27, 2010, 280 posts). Do you know what has happened to them?

LlamaMama is doing other things.  She goes back and forth between Sims 3 and reading books.  She's in her reading books phase.  I don't know about RockinRobin, but I think you have the date wrong for her.
