Can't browse or buy

Again I have another story's save that had this weird things happen.

The game is playing just okay, but anytime I go to Elixir Shop or Consignment Store this is what happen:
first : the option of browse or buy is there. even if I click it I still can't browse or buy. (both my sim and the store clerk just standing right there eye to eye one another, and that's it)
Second : after the first click on buy and nothing happen I tried to click the register machine again. But this time 'no action could happen' bar is there, and no more the option to browse or buy.

What actually is happening right on my games? or more exactly what's wrong?
And how do I fix it?

I had this problem, where I'd click on the buy or browse & it didn't do anything. But  I could still click on the register again & the options would still come up so I'm not sure of it's the same problem. Hopefully it's not because I couldn't use the elixir consignment again in the whole dynasty. I tried all the regular stuff & asked about it on here, but nothing worked. Hope you can fix it anyway.

I had that same exact problem once.  Exit the game, restart, the game should fix itself.  If it still doesn't, try clearing your cache.

Oh well, I've tried clearing caches... but still the problem stayed.

Could it be because I used mod (Twallan's) in the middle of playing (around the end of week 1) for a few days to matchmaking the townies  and let them bear child...

Ah, sorry I won't be much help.  I don't use mods at all so I won't have the experience or knowledge about mods and troubleshooting them.
