Return of the Imaginairum: Pixie's Legacy
« on: September 12, 2011, 10:20:34 AM »
This family started out as my test family to see if my game worked. Then I became attached. So this will be a pseudo-dynasty. I placed it here to not be confusing. However, Pixie will have to accomplish a lot of the same rules a Dynasty would. Also please for the moment forgive the abnormally large screenshots. I'm shrinking them however it's not shrinking them on there. I don't know what is up. I'm working on fixing this right now.

Hidden Springs is  a land located far from where you live. It's filled with cliffs, mountains, and waterfalls. It's a fun place to live. Only after the first 300 years or so of being invisible gets really old. You see I am Pixie. I come from the race of Imaginariums. We used to rule Hidden Springs in a land of peace, magic, and creativity.

Then they came. My Father was king and he did not believe in keeping an army. He ruled with discipline. However, the Vanderbergs came and I saw guns for the first time. The magical beings of Hidden Springs ran for their lives never to return. The Vanderbergs turned all of our  magic against us.

Imaginariums are now an invisible beings. No one can see us. We can't eat good food anymore. We can't sleep and dream sweet dreams. I miss being real. I miss being alive. I miss fairies that used to dance in the moonlight. These buildings and businesses are so boring. Now the Vanderbergs rule this land in a world of something called Commercialism. Bah that's stuff is for the birds.

Then one day things changed. This girl came into town. I watched as she talked with the new Vanderbergs's son. He was nice. I've talked to Francisca a lot. She isn't like the rest of her family. She's pretty pure of heart and in touch with the land. I visit her often. She hates her family and what they did to us.

Francisca told me to watch this new girl. So I did. I watched as this so called Prince fell for the wrong person....well or so the sims think. He didn't fall for the cleaning lady with the mean mother. He ran away! For some reason he ran off marrying this new girl. In awe I watched as they moved off to the woods to the Rookery.

The Rookery is my home. I'm the only Imaginarium left to live there. It is what is left of our old castle. It's nice to have family left. Especially since all the magic is gone and I'm the only Imaginarium left holding on. I want to be real again. Damon is the couple's son. He can see me and we play together all of the time. Damon has joined me on my quest. The quest to make me real.

The lady is fine. She is nice and really cares for Damon and his younger brother. Surely they wouldn't mind adopting an Imaginiarium....once they can see me. Right now they just wonder about Damon's sanity.

Hi everyone! It's me Pixie. I'm back to talk to you. My beloved diary. It's very important to chronicalize history. I feel this is important history for all Imaginariums. Even if I am the only one left in existence. This will be for my children someday...or Imaginariums. If I ever find where everyone fled off too.

Good news is I feel more part of the family now. The Mom doesn't scream when she sees her mop floating in mid air. I don't think she minds as long as the puddles get cleaned. She even scolds me from time to time. It always makes me giggle. I've missed having a family. The Vanderberg (Damon says I really should just call him Dad) still wonders if his son is insane or not. He'll come to accept me in time. I'm just as good as any of his sons. I can even tie knots better. Granted I still let Damon show off for me every now and then.

Scouting is the perfect activity for Damon and I to have. We are searching for the legendary Rainbow Gem. I've never ever seen one. I remember stories though. Rainbow Gems are a part of the heart of Hidden Springs. They represent the magic the land has within it. When I was little I remember many of these gems. I used to even have a necklace of one.

When the Imaginariums were overthrown by the Sims, they used the Rainbow Gem's powers to turn us into these invisible creatures. What little of my necklace is left is in my hat. This is the magic that keeps me alive and the true of heart able to see me. Well I'm not sure about that last part but it sounds good! Anyways, back to what I was saying.

Scouting is a good hobby. It's taught us how to fish, collect, and find things. I keep telling Damon we have to find a whole, uncut rainbow gem. He keeps looking to just make me happy. He swares that all we need is science. Damon stays up really late at his chemistry set. He thinks he can find the potion to make me real again.

Damon's little brother grew up today! I've never ever seen a Sim birthday. It was kind of magical in it's way. The Mom got the baby and put him on the floor. Bryan, that's the baby's name, waved his little toddler hands and squealed. Then suddenly sparkly fairies surrounded him. They lifted him into the air and poof! He was just as big as Damon! I couldn't believe that the fairies still exist. I tried to tell Damon about them. He says they are only sparkles and every sim has them on their birthday. Silly sim, I know they were fairies. I saw them with my own two button eyes.

I sat next to the fireplace while the boys played king. It was a silly game but it seemed to make them happy. Bryan was king first. Then Damon told him all about me. Bryan nodded and agreed with him! Bryan says he can't see me. However, he knows I'm there. Maybe I should stop putting his socks on his ears at night. It's such a funny joke though.

Bryan helps us look for the gem. I think he just wonders what I look like. He enjoys climbing the waterfalls in search of rocks. I caught him one day at the look out tower playing king. Silly Bryan!

Exciting things are happening today. Damon says so. He says today he turns into a teenager. Apparently sims have something called birthdays. I remember birthdays. It's about 315 and 1/4th years since I've had one. I remember Cookie in the kitchen baking sweets, and chasing me with a spoon when I snuck a lick of the batter! I remember fireworks and fairy dances. I also remember as princess I got to give everyone a special present. I loved handing out the gifts to my friends.

Damon's explained that sims do have cake. Apparently, they don't put berries in it like we Imaginariums do. I say it's not a cake anymore then but who am I to argue? He also says that Sims give the birthday person gifts. What a silly tradition! I'd much rather see my friends smile! It'll be interesting to watch a sim birthday.

We played and searched for Rainbow Gems all day long. Bryan even helped us. Then that night Damon said it was time. Time for what I didn't understand. He just started cheering and his eyes went all funny and cross eyed. Not to mention where on earth did that twirly noisy thing come from? A few seconds earlier he did not have that thing.

I watched as my friend jumped and stretched. Then he was tall. His voice was deeper, and I cried looking up at him. I didn't want to go back to being invisible. Damon was the first thing ever to care for me and see me. Now that he was almost grown up...I'd lose my playmate. Very sad I tried to run out to the tree house.

Damon ran after me calling, "Pixie wait!"

I cried so hard I had the sniffles and hiccups. Having both at the same time hurt very much. Somehow new big Damon came over and fit inside the tree house. He had his hands cupped.

Damon looked over at me and said, " I snagged someone for ya"

I peeked inside his fingers and saw one little lone fairy sitting inside. If I had real eyes they would have gotten big. Unfortunately, buttons don't change size.

Damon took the fairy and talked it very nicely. I'm not sure if she believed Damon or just wanted to be free. She agreed to sprinkle her magic around me even if she couldn't see me. I felt a rumbling in my stomach. I didn't know if I was going to be sick or not. The sound of wood cracking filled the air. I gasped and realized that suddenly the treehouse was small...very small.

I'm almost Damon's size. He says I"m the Imaginarium version of a teenager. He promises that he'll help make me real again. Damon joked he just wanted to prove that Sim-cakes were better than Berry cakes. He's still crazy. I didn't ask him this though...maybe one day someone will be able to tell me the answer. Why does my stomach flip flop still when I look at Damon?

Things are different since I aged up with Damon. I feel more obligated to the people I live with now. After everyone leaves I spend my days cleaning up around the house. The worst is laundry. For some reason the boys just leave their clothes everywhere. I always try to pick the piles up for the Mom. I can tell she appreciates it.

One unfortunate happening of my aging up is that I was now chained to the Rookery. I would wave goodbye to Damon as he left for school each day. Each time I tried to leave strange things would happen. I'd walk off thinking I was going somewhere to just appear back in the living room. It's very frustrating and dizzying. I stopped trying around zip back number 600 or so.

Damon is desperate to make me real. He's afraid to age up again. We've discovered that somehow we are linked together. He feels attached to me and I him. However, we do not know the extent of the connection. What happens when he becomes an adult? Do I stay behind? Do I cease to exist? Also, there was the matter of my stomach flip flopping when I looked at Damon. I haven't told him that yet.  I think I clean so much just to escape these thoughts.

The parents are very angry at Damon. They are talking about sending him away to something called "boarding school." I don't want him to leave. I cry little wooden tears each time they mention it. He's stopped pulling pranks to make them happier. I remind him to go to school. He spends night and day at the chemistry lab set. Damon is hoping that it holds the key to me being real. He's even forsaken finding friends for me. I've never had someone care for me this much. Well not since my own parents.

I miss my parents many days. I wonder what they would think of me now. I wish there was a way to save them. They gave me so much. The ultimate sacrifice. They lost themselves just to save me. I wish my Mom was here now. She'd know what to do. She'd know how to fix all this.

Today, Damon was escorted home by the cops. He was caught breaking into the school science lab. I didn't know why he had done this. All day he locked himself up inside of his room and wouldn't come out. I heard banging and muttering. The Vanderburg says he is grounded for two days. Grounding is a thing Sims do to punish their kids. It means he can't leave the house. Silly sim realizes that the more time Damon is at home the more time we have together!

Night turned into day and Damon snuck outside. He waved for me to follow him. He was holding some strange bubbling liquid.

Damon grinned said, "Drink it Pixie."

"What is it?" I sniffed...it smelled like feet and laundry...ugh.

"It'll make you real. I figured it out. With a little bit of my homework using rainbow rocks." Damon almost bounced he was so excited.

"Won't you fail? What if it turns me into a toad?"

"Well then you'll be the best toad in hidden springs!"

Bottoms up I tilted the jar back and drank up.

I need someone to remind me to post when I play this game. I'm waaayy ahead of this point. :P That and forgot to take many pictures of teenage years. Anywho...here's a rule to my legacy in addition to following (loosely) Pinstar's Legacy rules.

Imaginarium Legacy Rules:

Only allowed to live in the Rookery. I can edit or add to the Rookery but I cannot live in another household.
No Travel <-- Bad mojo...I almost lost them.

Fears are gone and I've become real again! I can't believe it hardly. I have fingers and toes and a mouth that opens and closes. My stomach rumbles when I'm hungry and I get sleepy!! All this may seem mundane and silly. I say you go over 300 years and see if you don't miss feeling things anything!

Damon's Mom has taken me under her wing. She feels awful for my family. She has shown me how to fix my curly mass of blue and teal hair. She also says I should flaunt it. It brings out my "striking" icy blue eyes. Mom (she told me to call her that isn't it great?!) also says Damon has a crush on me. I had no idea what a crush was. Apparently it's when a girl or boy really really like each other. Mom's explained that was my flip flopping stomach! Mom's also explained we can't run off in the house by ourselves. I told her she was silly why would we do that.

Sebastian (that's Dad...he said I can call him dad. I'll stick with Sebastian) says I'm naive because I'm a bit childish. Better to be childish than boring frumpy I say! Sebbastian has also enrolled us kids in lots of activities. I have Study Group and Music club. Damon is in Study Club and Newspaper Club. Bryan (he just grew up too!) is in Music Club and Study Club.

Bryan has grown up to be the biggest flirt. He tried for days to get my attention. Finally, Mom sat him down to talk to him. She explained how Damon and I have a connection. He couldn't break in. Bryan just shrugged and began chasing another girl. Gossip around the school says she's playing hard to get...

I love school! It's been years since I've been able to learn. Damon laughs at me constantly going around asking to try new things. He even brought me my first bouquet of flowers today with a note. He wanted me to go to this prom thing. It's tradition for Sims to go to a big dance and dress in fancy clothes. I said yes...why not go and have fun at a party!

Prom was magic all on its own. I don't know why the Imaginariums and Sims couldn't have lived together in peace all those years ago. Greed is a funny thing though. I danced and danced. Damon made me laugh dancing the chicken dance onstage. He was even crowned Prom King! No one at school treats me badly at all. I have lots of friends. Damon tells me its something called being "popular" He also says with my smile anyone would like me. Isn't he sweet? I even saw that girl Bryan likes let him dance with her. We all had a great night.

Damon took time to take me out under the stars. We talked like we always do. We talk about how I miss my family. I told him I'm grateful for him breaking the curse. I asked him to promise me if we ever found another Imaginarium...we'd give them life too.

Damon smiled, "Pixie, we'll spend forever finding them all. I'll give them enough of that stinking potion to help them all! I'm the Vanderburg now. We own this island. There's room for everyone."

For the first time the future looked hopeful...and I got someone special to help me...

I've been reading and lurking for a while but I thought I'd quit being lazy and comment. Pixie is gorgeous and I love the "mermaid" hair :) I can't wait to see where life will take her and her family (this is a legacy after all). I hope those blue eyes get passed down. That would be pretty awesome. Congrats on not losing the family to the infamous travel bug.
