Hopefully it was when I was doing some tinkering, Sportsfan. Let me know if it comes up again, and do a print-screen + paste into paint if you can to get me an image at [email protected]

I think you guys will like how I incorporated the rest of the site into the navigation menu. It beats the ugly green boxes, and of course, there's your gallery link :)

Okay I'm sending it to you now.

And cool you got the gallery linked in!

I added a new membergroup, Just Registered. At 5 posts, you will upgrade to Newbie. This starter group prevents them from adding signatures and website links until they have 5 posts, which makes profile spam here 100% pointless and we already know what the mods here to do spammers...

That's a great idea! :D Also did you get my PM about my uploading issues? Oh and would you consider adding a red theme?

Excellent idea. I was going to ask if there was some way you could prevent new members from posting spam link. I know I reported quite a few last night and again this morning. I was going to ask if maybe you had accidently added a spam magnet in the upgrade because there were so many  ;D

I believe I got them under control, as the rate seems to have gone from a flood to a trickle.

Sportsfan I am sure you will like the fix for the advertisement covering the new posts area. Everyone will, as it's super small now - less intrusive, and faster to load.

On to the bad news...

No spell check, and it's not happening. I was unsuccessful at bringing in the necessary changes despite bringing down the server for 5 hours.  The alternative doesn't work, so here it comes... all major browsers but Internet Explorer have spell checking built in.

Google Chrome
Mozilla Firefox
Apple Safari
Opera

That is the order that I prefer them. I haven't used Opera and don't use it to test my sites, although the others are all installed on my machine. Chrome is imperfect but gives a good browsing experience, so if something doesn't work I fall back to Firefox.

Someday in the future I will set up another server from scratch with everything I need, so that I do not have to struggle so much to add minor things. That is not going to happen any time soon so can I offer you a better browser? :P

At that, I conclude my work on this upgrade. I'll of course be watching for issues as they arise but as far as I can tell all of the original features are back with more on top ;)

Great job Carl.  Before you got everything working again, I must have deleted 50 of those little spammers.  Glad that was fixed.  I can only imagine what you have to go through to do an upgrade or install components of a these sites.  It was worth the down time. :)

Not sure if I'm stupid, but....

When I click on 'profile' it asks me if I want to delete my account?

Is this a glitch?

Hey guys I'm taking an extended hiatus... again. I'm out of ideas to build houses and I don't have as much fun designing homes like I used to; it feels more like a chore. So that's where I'll be, I will probably be back sometime. :P

When I go to my profile, the only option it gives me is to delete my account.

Same here - It was fine yesterday but today it does ask if I want to delete my account with no other options, also if I click on "Profile of Jancy" nothing happens, it does not take me to My Profile.

Mine is fine, although I am using a different theme to Jancy, if that info is of any help.
