Can pets travel abroad?

Well, I don't have pets yet and the thought has been bugging me all day. Couldn't find an answer anywhere so I thought I'd ask

So, can pets go to Shang Simla, Al simhara or Champs les Sims?

No, I don't believe they can! When I take trips they never come up as an option to bring along.

No, your pets can't travel. You can find some minor pets (birds, turtles, etc.) in Egypt, China and France, however.

If you go with the household you get a message saying  "customs won't let your pet travel abroad but we'll look after him/her until you get back"   or something like that.  It's kind of cute. 

So the answer is no.

Not in the EA Standard game, no.

I have taken my pets on vacation in the past, though I'm not really sure why you would want to, since they can't really help in tomb raiding.

What do you  mean? in the past? From what I see it isn't possible. You must be using mods.
