Going back to a save
« on: July 01, 2013, 04:11:48 PM »
I have heard you have 2 saves for one game to go back to. I know you can go back to the new save by playing the game from the start menu. But how do you go back to the older save.
I love this forum and just want to say thank you to everyone! :) Have a great rest of your day!

Whenever you save an existing file using either "save" or "save and quit," the last-saved version of it is renamed as [save name].sims3.backup in the "Saves" folder. Removing the .backup part of the extension makes the file able to be opened like a normal save file from the main menu once you start the game again. There can only be one backup for each file, so saving the file again will overwrite the previous backup.

Carl himself explains it much better than I can.
