Here is another list of info, with loads of potions, from Platinum Simmers:
http://www.platinumsimmers.com/page/articles.html/_/news/the-sims-3/supernatural-news-pics-round-up-r159

It looks like the Tragic Clown is more or less coming back in some form (it's the effect of a potion). I'm officially completely crazy about this EP.

Wow.  Is it silly too say that I'm really excited about the planters too?

And I take it back.  Apparently they really did add a jellybean to kill people.  -facepalm-

That gather trait! Finally!!! And I love the brooder trait - My simself shall be updated. (I'll probably put it in the place where the good trait currently is.. I'm more a philosopher than I am a philanthropist :P)

This EP just gets better and better.. I'm trying not to think of possible setbacks. *Ahem, bugs* It looks like they've really tried to make it really great this time, so hopefully we'll get to experience it the way it was meant!

Rainbow-slider! Yea, I should have waited to start my dynasty.. :P

Arg! I don't want the clown back! I played The Sims when I was 6 and the tragic clown would pop up and not let my sims eat, sleep, be entertained or socialize :'( I didn't know what to do seince I had tried boxing walls around him and he would just teleport  back into the house. (sory that was a bit off topic but thats why I don't want the tragic clown back)

The tragic clown is just the result of a potion, and the effect only lasts 24 hours. So don't worry, you won't have to deal with this very tragic guy.

I was sold a long time ago, but the return of the model train and rock-scissors-paper are the sugar roses on the icing on the cake.

Interesting tidbit I learned today: The model train can be ridden by Fairies in their pixy form.

I can't wait to create a pink fairy! Thanks Ausette. :D

You're welcome.  :)

Slight deviation from topic: I just realised the rainbow slider means a parent with, say, green skin can have a child with orange or blue skin even if the other parent is normal. Explanation: There are two factors that determine a Sim's skin colour: "tone" (which spectrum you pick from the menu) and "shade" (how light or dark the colour is, determined by how far along the spectrum you've chosen). These factors are inherited seperately - a Sim child can get their tone from their mother and their shade from their father, or vice versa. If this happens with one rainbow parent and one "normal" parent, the child may get the rainbow parent's tone and their other parent's shade, meaning they'll be on a different part of the rainbow spectrum to their colorful parent and thus a different colour. I hope that makes sense.  :P

It makes perfect sense as long as they don't update the genetics gameplaydata.package with the expansion.  I'll have to look at the file after it's installed to see if it changes.  I have a copy of what it said somewhere in my outbox.   It's just too exciting to have to wait another month.

I am confused when you say rock-sissors-paper. What game feature is that?

Rock-sissors-paper, the game.  It's a social action for sims.

Ok thanks. Now I feel kinda dumb :-[ I though that it meant that you could play rock-paper-scissors with the Grim Reaper to win back your Sims' life. You could do that in The Sims I think. That's why I started playing The Sims when I was 6. My brother told me that he was playing rock-paper-scissors with the grim reaper so I started playing Sims. Anyway, I am really excited about the ghost gnomes I think that they will make nice decorations in homes.

A couple of days ago a few fans went to EA and got to play Sims 3 Supernatural and Seasons. Curtis Paradis was one of them and in this video of his he states that the telephone booths are teleporters! Sounds like Doctor Who to me....

I just hope Moonlight Falls will be decently sized, with room for all lot types from previous expansions including the two big equestrian lots (the smaller versions are just too tiny to be credible). For all I love Appaloosa Plains, it could really use more room -- there's only one bar, no film studio, and despite having a good deal of empty space, you can barely place new lots anywhere -- at least if you want a road connection. It'd really bite if Moonlight Falls had the same problem. I want a possible alternative to AP, which so far is the only town I can stand playing in.

News about full moon:

The night of a full moon is a special event in Moonlight Falls, both
feared and celebrated. As the moon rises forebodingly over the
mountains, strange things will start to happen around the town…and even
pets will be able to sense it. For fairies and witches, this special
evening is particularly favored as it boosts their powers and
happiness. Some ordinary Sims will embrace the eerie light of the moon,
allowing its lunatic glow to consume them for the night and alter their
personalities. Those who are stressed, insane, or more open to the
supernatural will be especially susceptible; beware the slap or hug of
the lunatic Sim who has been overtaken by the light of the moon!

Other Sims will dismiss the strange happenings as “magical rubbish”
and shut their eyes and their doors to anything out of the ordinary.
(If your Sim happens to be afraid of ghosts, he might want to steer
clear of the graveyard on this particular evening, as ghosts love to
bask in the light of full moons). According to rumor, with the onset of
the full moon the stranger, more “eccentric” members of the town tend
to congregate late into the night. No one knows quite what they’re up
to, but the more cowardly Sims may want to wait out the night safe in
their beds. Your werewolf neighbors will be forced to transform and your
dear friends in town might find themselves victim to zombification and
forced into an intense hunger for other Sims’ brains. If your Sim hears a
howl in the night or a deep moan coming from the lawn, this time it
might not be just his imagination.

Too dark? Too scary? Don’t worry! The moon is customizable! For so
many Sims, for so many years, the full moon was all they knew. No
crescent moons. No new moon. No waxing gibbous. This seemed like a
pretty sad state of affairs. In Moonlight Falls, the moonlight,
well…falls in a different way every day! By default, the moon will
rotate through a number of different phases. The length of the complete
cycle can be changed in the Options Panel. If you’re not really into
this whole newfangled moon phase thing and really just want things to go
back to how they were, well, you can do that, too! You’ll be able to
set the phase of the moon to always be one phase and you can choose what
that phase is. If you’re looking for a zombie apocalypse or if you just
really like to make your werewolf Sims suffer, go ahead and set it to
be a full moon every night. You’ll never have a dull night again! (Or,
if your preference for zombie attack frequency leans more towards “no
thanks,” set the moon to always be a nice, safe, waxing gibbous.
Nothing bad ever happens when the moon is a waxing gibbous!)

After the full moon has sunk beneath the horizon, Moonlight Falls
will return to normal. Sims unfortunate enough to have been afflicted
with zombification will suddenly realize the error of their ways and
head back home. Werewolves will return to human form, dazed and a
little confused. Witches and fairies will lose the boost they received
from the moon. Ordinary Sims who were a little un-ordinary during the
full moon will lose their crazy feelings and everything will be back to
normal… or, as normal as it gets in Moonlight Falls.

I think this will go with Hidden Springs. I mean, it's sort of that Fairytale/Escape theme, and we have green townies. So I'm starting to think maybe HS should've been the new town instead, of a Store content.

Thanks Tin. The sims that turn into zombies, will they stay like that?
If so they will take over the town. Chris Steel as a zombie will ruin my day for sure.

sims4ever, no they won't. I think they are actually special sims that spawn only when the moon is full.
They are special townies. If you set the moon to never be full, they won't probably even exist in that neighborhood. I read about it somewhere, but i can't remember. Of course, you can make your own zombies with alchemy potion. Then they can join the "townie zombies" when they start going around the neighborhood.
