This was part of Sims 1, and I don't know why they got rid of it. It was so funny.

That was in TSM too. I guess they got rid of that because of the standard changes in ratings.

I would like to see an expansion to the gardening skill or even a new skill, where sims can actually plant the flowers and shrubs, maybe with the option to put them in pots and bring them indoors.

When you live, live with your soul, not with your time.
When you love, love with your heart, not with your mind.
When you want to be something, the world can't define, open up your eyes.

Arranging flowers was an actuall skill in The Sims 2 Freetime expansion. It would be nice indeed if that would be added into The Sims 3.

You know how when you try and save during a move or birthday and you get that popup saying you can't? Well I would love it if you could have the option for the game to automaticaly save as soon as that event is done. It's kinda annoying when I need to eat dinner while one of my sims surprised me by aging up.  :P

The Sims 4?
« Reply #1829 on: June 01, 2012, 09:49:23 PM »
I know this may seem kinda sudden, since the Sims 3 is so new, but what do you all want to see in The Sims 4, if there is one?  I would love to hear you answers!  Thanks!

I would lik to see:

Seasons and weather introduced
Better graphics that won't negatively affect the game
More that I can't think of at the moment!

There was an idea I threw around for awhile over at the official Sims 3 website:

Have three or four cities in one game connected. Each city offers their own little thing.

That would, however, be a huge file, and a lot of people are already have trouble with the Sims 3 being too big. Lol. But it's an interesting idea.

Edit: Oh, and maybe get rid of rabbitholes? They're ok, but I'd prefer not to have them.

We already have a thread about what players would like to see as future improvements.  It's not necessarily about The Sims 4 because it's just too premature for those discussions.  I'm going to merge this topic with it.

1. A wider variety of Birthday cakes and Wedding cakes
2. A variety of different pastries that can be cooked by all sims with the ability to cook, not just kids

I don't know if you have to have Sims 3: Ambitions, but kids with the toy oven can make

    Chocolate Cookies
    Chocolate Brownies
    Chocolate Cupcakes
    Chocolate Cakes
    Vanilla Muffins
    Sugar Cookies
    Vanilla Cupcakes
    Vanilla Cakes
    Blueberry Muffins
    Caramel Brownies
    and they can make pie

I agree, I would like a variety of wedding cakes and birthday cakes though. The normal ones can be boring sometimes.

Pitching an Idea: Flea Markets!
« Reply #1833 on: June 02, 2012, 10:04:23 PM »
I downloaded Union Cove, and the consignment store there is an open market type area. (If you've downloaded the town, you'd know what I'm talking about.)
Thinking about this open market, I got to thinking about about flea markets, which made me think, "Our Sims should have flea markets!"

There could be a new type of community lot: flea market (of course). On this lot, there should be booths of different sizes. The more you pay, the bigger the booth and the more area you get to sell your items. And you can sell just about anything! Fruits and vegetables. Books. Furniture for the larger ones. Decorative ideas. Etc. (End of thinking capacity... HAHA!) Anyways... You can also set the prices for each individual item (or grouped items if they are something like fruits and vegetables or you could sell furniture sets or book sets or something).

Other sims around town could sell stuff too (even though they carry virtually nothing in their pockets. They could just pull stuff outta thin air or something). There could be haggling. It could take place once a week, like Saturdays.

What do you think? Interesting idea or what?

Oh and to add:

To keep people from "cheating," if you try and buy something and then sell it for more than it's original price, it won't sell. Consignment stores don't sell everything, and this is kind of a fun way to do that.
It's not something to make a profit on. It's something just to sell old stuff for more than it's depreciated value and make a little money.
For paintings and books though, it will be kind of a different story.

And to clear up what I was saying:
Let's say you buy something that originally costs $1,000. If you try and sell it for $2,000, it won't sell because it's more than it's original cost for the store. On the other hand, let's say it's depreciated value is $450. If you price it for $600, it will sell because it's less than it's original cost.

To add even further, while pricing items there should be a menu stating it's original cost and it's depreciated cost. Ya know, just to make things a little easier while pricing the items.

Ok, I just wasn't sure what you were trying to do.  We have an existing thread where everyone can share ideas for future Sims 3 improvement.  I'll merge this topic with it and it will all be together.

Pam, I think you merged this with the wrong thread. This is the weird and funny posts thread, not the future improvement one.

I know that the little kids can bake those things I just wished that older sims could make those pastries too. Like if  the child aged up then they would still know how to make those recipes.

Oh yeah, I wish they could too. I mean, they knew how to make them, but when they age older they practically forget how to make the pastries.

I would like to see a slider for hair. Every hair style has a set length. I would love it if we could select a hairstyle, then make it shorter or longer. I would also like if they would give us a hairstyle where you put one pigtail on the side of the sim's head (that's how I wear my hair; it's long enough for two, but it looks much better with just one and everyone in school now recognizes me by it).
The outside is quiet, but the inside is on full blast.

Like not mirrored hairs styles. That is cool indeed.
Maybe EA will add that to another expansion or stuff pack.

I would really like something more to do with the coffee machines, it would be cool if they made a coffee skill. They could add a coffee plant that you could harvest and then add to the coffee machine to make coffee's. You could even add another recipe like a coffee cake...

Oooh and maybe sims could moonlight as a barista like they would as a mixologist except at coffee shops. That would be so cool.

And if we ever get more pastries and other desserts those could always have a coffee version as well.
