A Little Miracle Named "Wanda" (Time to Go)
« on: January 06, 2013, 06:11:14 PM »
Prologue:

My name is Amelia Loveland and live in Lunar Lakes.  This town is such beautiful place to live and having heard of so much sadness and turmoil in other parts of the country, I feel blessed to live here.  I am trying to fulfill my lifelong dream of becoming a rock star, but at the moment it is not going to well.

My boss knew I was having a rough day and come up to me and gave me a ticket to a ball game.  I didn't care for sports that much, but decided to try something new for a change.  I left immediately and headed for the stadium.  As I was watching the game, I happened to notice a tall, good looking and blonde player and I couldn't take my eyes of him.  I guess I had sat there for an hour mesmerized by this blonde cutie, when I felt an elbow in my side.  The woman next to me said, "cute, huh?".  I didn't realize I had been that obvious.  She continued by saying, "don't bother honey, he loves his women and you would just be another hole in his belt loop".  With that, she got up and walked away, which I realized that it was the end of the game and there was only myself and a few other people left in the stands.  Needless to say, I headed straight for the entrance and waited for this man, which I soon found out his name was Petre Stewart.  The name sounded familiar, but couldn't quite place it.  He finally came out of the stadium and he stopped dead in his tracks when he saw me.  I thought, what, do I have something on my face, a rip somewhere.  He came over and introduced himself and well, the rest is history, as you will find out.

For months we dated and I finally ask him to move in with me.  He didn't hesitate for a moment and life went on.  We were so in love with each other.
I knew this man and I were made for each other, but did he know it.  He knew I knew of his past romances and he swore those days were over, now that I was
in his life and the matter was dropped.

We each went to work and the days got longer and hotter, before we knew it, Leisure day was here and Stewart and I decided to go have some fun.

Macho man there thinks he is going to win, ha, I have news for him.

I am not sure what move that is, but I can't laugh with my mouth full.

Ok, Mr. Macho, feeling a little sick are we.  I beat him, but neither of us won the contest.  I was distracted, someone behind us kept writing something in a tablet.  I have to have some excuse, ya know.

After the excitement, I really wanted to go skating, but Petre had something he wanted to tell me.

I was not expexting this, but I already knew what my answer was, if ever he had decided to pop the question.

After all of this excitement, I started feeling a little faint and Petre caught me before I fell to the ground and proceeded to take me to the hospital, just in case.

The news wasn't good.  I had some type of infection, but, the doc gave me some medicine and told Petre I had to rest for the next few days.
As soon as we got home, my phone rang and it was the hospital.  It was a very rude nurse that said, "sorry hon, tests results came back and you and hubby can't have kids of your own". *click* I just stood there, numb and Petre had to put me to bed.  I closed my eyes, but could feel Petre standing watch.  What a crummy ending to such a perfect day.

The eating contest was hilarious, as was "another hole in his belt loop"!

Lovely start, Salty.

I love the way that this is starting. Such a somber way to end an otherwise wonderful day. I hope that they can pull through this together.

Our Lives Must Go On:

Petre

I knew I loved Amelia the first time I laid eyes on her and I have never said that about anyone, I had a reputation to uphold, ya know.

The next morning after we got the bad news, Amelia called the hospital just to confirm what that terrible nurse had told us and she filed a complaint against that nurse.  Unfortunately, the news was the right information.  I took a few days off with Amelia and helped around the house as much as possible. I did the cooking and cleaning to the best of my abilities and Amelia never complained.

She rested and worked on her paintings, she was getting to be a very good painter.

It was couple of days before fall and I thought maybe a wedding should be in order.  This was a big step for me, I thought I would never get married, but I didn't want to lose the best thing that had ever happened to me, so I thought I would bring it up to Amelia.  I guess I didn't get quite the reaction I was expecting.

She told me she couldn't give me babies and she thought I didn't want her, which I told her she couldn't be more wrong.  We finally got it worked out and I told her to go pick out the prettiest wedding dress she could find, but I didn't want to see it.

I closed my eyes, honestly I did.

The night before the wedding, the doorbell rang and it was like, 1:00am, who in the world would come to visit at that time of night.  It looked like the same man we saw at the festival and what did he want.  He leaned in and told me, "you are going to get an unexpected surprise very soon" and then he was gone.  Ok, I was too tired for riddles and I had a wedding to look forward to and I am not telling Amelia about this, so mum is the word.
The next day, Amelia was all a flutter, I would have been surprised if she still knew her name.  She had called one of her dear friends to help her with setting things up and it was outstanding.

The Wedding:

Amelia:

We had only invited a few people from where Petre and I worked, but it was still formal and I felt like a princess.  Petre had been so wonderful through all of this and I was very happy.  We had discussed adopting children, but we decided we would go as far as our careers would take us and discuss it again, but now, I have to get married.  I will not go into alot of detail, so I will just let the pictures do the talking, enjoy.

Sorry, I got carried away.  It was a great evening, just as we were doing our slow dance, it started raining and I don't think either one of us cared at the time.

Only thing is, I am not sure who that man in a blue martial arts outfit was.  He was taking notes and pictures.  I asked Petre and he got weird look on his face and said he didn't know who it was, hmm. Something is fishy here and it is not fish.

The New Arrival:

We had only been married a couple of days and for some reason the tension was rising.  I am not sure if it was the fact we had been together 24/7 or almost a week now.  Petre has been wonderful but I think we both need to get back to work.  We had been arguing about something, I am not even sure what, when the doorbell rang.  We both went outside, but no one was at the door.  However, in the yard, was this little toddler and she had wings, of all things.  She was the most precious thing I ever saw.

She had the most strange pink eyes.  I wasn't sure if I wanted to pick her up or if I was dreaming this whole thing.  She reached up for me and I picked her up.  She wanted to play, so I tickled her and then I thought, maybe we had better go into the house, this did look a little strange.  No one else in town had wings and someone might call someone on us, not sure who they would call and besides, would anyone believe it.

We came up with a name and I think we will call her "Wanda".  I think Petre instantly fell in love with little Wanda.  They hit it off so well, I decided to look on the computer and see if anyone had put out a missing person ad.  We could call the police, but if we say she has wings, they might call someone in the white coats to take us away.  Doesn't matter, right now, we have a little girl to take care of, but how did she get here and who brought her??

I sat in front of the computer, what seemed like for hours, to see if there was anything about a missing child.  I was still a little worried to get attached to our little miracle, in fear of losing her.

Petre took over teaching Wanda to walk.  From what I have seen about toddlers, it usually takes them a while to learn, but it didn't take Wanda hardly anytime to learn.  She was such a joy to be around.

After finishing up on the computer, I took over teaching Wanda how to talk and use the potty chair.  She was done in no time and proceeded to play with this strange looking little doll, I assume she had it with her, but she seemed to pull it from thin air.

All sorts of things went through my head about that little doll.  I have read alot of fantasy books when I was young and I thought maybe, it was her little guardian angel, but that sounded so far fetched, that I decided to keep that little bit of information to myself.  We decided to go for broke
and make Wanda her own room, even though it would mean reshaping my house, oh well, she is worth it.

Another strange thing Wanda does, is to float in the air.  I find this fascinating to watch.

After a full day of skills, Wanda was getting sleepy. Petre gave her a bath and then we put our little angel to bed and she fell right to sleep. We stood there and looked at each other and made a vow to protect Wanda.

But, there was something in the back of my mind that kept nagging at me, I just wish I knew what it was..

I pushed any thoughts of who Wanda was or where she came from for the time being.  We were just enjoying our time off with her.  Not knowing when she was born or anything about her, we were not really sure when her birthday was, so we made one up.  I was doing some shopping for our little party, when I saw the strangest thing........

Now that is a new one on me.  Could it be, no, it can't be, but I think I saw a witch.  There are no such beings as witches.  Wait, what was I saying, there was Wanda.  Hmm, I wonder if there is some kind of connection, since I have never seen this witch before. I guess there is only one way to find out and that is to follow her..

She must have known I was following her, ya think, because she invited me in her house.  Strange things in this house.  I found out her name is Cindy and she was new in town and she is very beautiful.

And, being the nosy person I am, I wanted to find out what else was in this house.  I found a room with only a door from the bedroom, but I still explored.  When I got close to this funny looking pot, it made noise.

That can't be good.  I heard Cindy call me from the other room and I thought I had better leave well enough alone.  When I returned to the living room, she asked if she could tell my fortune.  Of course I had to fiddle with the chrystal ball too and I don't think Cindy liked it too well.

I didn't particularly find what she had to say very enlightning.  She said there was sadness and to beware.  Ok, beware of what, maybe beware of her?  I asked her what that meant and she said, she only reads fortunes, she doesn't always know the meaning, but she did ask me if there was a new arrival in my life.  I didn't answer, so maybe I thought she might just forget about it.  She said she had a doll that could protect me from any harm and of course being kind of dumb about these things, I told her to go ahead and use it.

Well, that was a little weird.  I don't remember a thing, just an evil laugh.  I finally just came out and asked Cindy what or who she was and why she was here.  She told me she was witch and all she knew she was sent by someone higher up to find a fairy child.  The child was special and she needed to return home with her own kind.

I told Cindy it was nice meeting her and I needed to go home now, (more like run).  I just wasn't sure what to make of any of this.  When I got back, Wanda was all ready for bed, but Petre said she would not let him put her to bed, so he figured Wanda wanted me to put her bed, which was strange.
When I put Wanda in her crib, she didn't want me to leave and kept putting her arms out to be held.  I just reassured her everything was alright and she finally went to sleep.

I have got to talk to Cindy again and find out more about what she told me, but I just can't get the thought of losing little Wanda out of my head, we just couldn't lose her, she was part of our life now.  Think I will do some research of my own, maybe there is something I can do....

The next morning, I knew I had been dreaming, but I didn't remember what I had dreamed.  I knew it had been about witches and fairies, but I just couldn't remember.  I felt overwhelmed and I wasn't sure what to do about it.

When I was little girl, I always had a doll house and I remember whenever I felt scared, I would play with my doll house, sooooo....

I realized it didn't help as much being an adult as when I was a child.  Well, I didn't have time to feel sorry for myself, we had bought a birthday cake for Wanda, even though we didn't know when she would turn into a youth, we still wanted to do this for our little girl.  Petre brought Wanda to her cake
while I made some noise. It looked like it scared her at first and then she saw daddy wasn't scared, so it was ok.

I wasn't quite ready for what happened next, Wanda whirled around, turned into a youth and proceeded to grab a piece of cake and sit down with Petre at the table.  Ok, what was that!!!?

After the initial shock, I assumed, that wherever fairies come from, that is how they aged up.  Wanda gave us both a hug and went into her room.  A little while later, I went to check on her and she was sitting on the floor with that little doll and I could swear she was talking to it and the doll understood what she said.

A noise coming from outside the window startled me and when I went to look, it was nothing.  Whew, my nerves are jumpy today.

I guess I need to get a grip and start doing some research, but in the meantime, Wanda and Petre seem to be getting along really well.  I feel a little bit jealous, she has only been youth a short time and already, I believe she has confided in Petre about a few things, not sure what yet.  She loves to play fairy games with him and he
gets so enthused when she does this.

I think there is more to Wanda than we probably will ever know.  I just wish I knew what the story was..

Since we had been off work for quite a while now, I decided I needed to practice my guitar skills.  Petre and Wanda were doing their usual chatting.  I heard bits and pieces of their conversation, as Wanda was telling one of her "Fairy Tale Stories".  I guess fairies remember things, even from the time they were born, which I find amazing. I did hear her mention something about a house, witches and someone in love, but I didn't want to stop and listen, because I didn't want to interrupt.

It was also time for Wanda to go to school, but seeing how Petre was very knowledgeble in most areas, we decided to homeschool Wanda.  I didn't want to subject Wanda to kids or for that matter, teachers.  People can be cruel and she didn't need that right now.  Of course, she already knew more than I probably did at this point.

I did, however, manage to find something interesting on the computer.  The article read, "It is very common for fairies and witches to work together on projects.  Fairies can sense when things are not right with most people.  Witches are good trackers and will help the fairies with their endeavors.  They work together to find solutions to the problem and then they vanish as quickly as they appear.  Recently, there was an uprising at a land far away.  Some witches from another demension had invaded a village of fairies.  Some managed to escape and the uprising finally ended, but there are still a few missing, especially small children.  We think that the good witches helped the children to safety, but have not been able to find their way back."  I couldn't believe what I had just read.  Now, it makes me wonder, if this was just another, "fairy tale" or if it had anything to do with Wanda or Cindy.  I think I need to pay another visit to Cindy and try and get some answers.

That evening I decided to go to Cindy's again.  I was not leaving without answers to my questions.  It didn't look like she was home, but there was something strange about her house.  It looked like it was suspended in air, absolutely nothing holding it up.  I didn't have to wait for long for Cindy to return home.  We said our hello's and then she ask me inside.

She told me she didn't have anything to tell me, that all she wanted to do is to move somewhere safe friendly.  I heard the word "safe" the first time and that caught my attention.  She said she wasn't sure what I wanted to hear, but she just wanted to get away and live as normal of a life as possible.

She finally excused herself and said she must get some sleep and I could find my way out.  Well, that was an invitation to snoop around some.

Well that didn't work too good, maybe I had better...zzzzzzzzzzzzz

Whawhawha....happened, wow, that hurt. I think I need to leave well enough alone.

I went home and still didn't get any answers.  I wonder if Wanda could tell me anything at all.  I just know those two know each other and that story I read has something to do with them.

Petre

Not quite sure where to start, but I wanted to say what I had to say before Amelia finds out.  Amelia is obsessed to finding out about Cindy.  I wish she would just enjoy Wanda, but she just thinks it is too good to be true.  We had always wanted our own child and now we have one and she just won't let it go.  Funny thing is, there is a reason why Wanda is here, but I can't say right now.  Eventually it will all come to light.  Wanda is a special child and Cindy and I, (yes, I know Cindy and she has confided in me) are having a terrible time keeping this secret.  But something strange did happen after Amelia came home.  It was late, I know that much and a good friend of mine came to visit.  She said she had some news for me, but before she could say anything Amelia came outside and thought we were flirting.

Before anyone had a chance to say something, we heard a strange noise and then........

and she was gone, what the heck.  I had heard things like that happened, but I never believed it.  All I could do was just run around in panic mode.  A couple of hours later, I heard the same strange noise and there Amelia was, back in the front yard and didn't remember anything, so I thought at this point, I will just keep quiet.

Funny thing is, that was my first alien abduction, without even trying.  It was kind of difficult trying to find a way to put it in the story.

I can tell you this, things are going to change and more of our story will come to light very soon.

Wanda:

My name is Wanda, as if you couldn't already figure that out.  The only thing I can tell you about myself, is that I do come from far away.  Certain fairies have certain tasks where I come from.  We each get a different task.  We are assigned our own witch and she or he helps us to fulfill our tasks.  I can tell you this though, I have become very attached to Amelia and Petre.  One of my requirements, is to tell one of them my plan, not all of it, but some of it. What some people do not know about fairies, is we remember everything, right from when we were born.  Amelia found this out before I had a chance to booby trap the computer.  She is stubborn and nosy, haha.  I do love her and will miss her.

I do have special skills and I love to tease Amelia.  She is so funny.

As you probably figured out, Cindy is my witch.  She has a mind of her own and she gets carried away sometimes.  At least this time when she called me, Petre and Amelia were at work.

Cindy is a newbie witch, which means, she loves to conjure apples.

She is a good person and well meaning, but still somewhat clumsy.  I have to give her credit, she didn't spill the beans when Amelia went to visit, except she could have waited until Amelia left before going to bed.  Amelia could have gotten into some trouble with that cauldron.

I also love to fly, but I cannot draw attention to myself outside, so I have to use the confines of the house to do that sort of thing, but it is so much fun.

I can't tell you too much else right now, but there will be answers to all questions very soon.  I am just waiting on a special friend to make an appearance...

Wanda

One morning, I was looking out of the window and saw this white stuff falling from the sky.  It scared me at first, because I didn't know what it was.  Petre and Amelia told me it was snow and asked me if I wanted to go outside.  It was cold, but it was also very beautiful.

I made a snow angel and Petre and Amelia came outside and helped me build an igloo, it was so much fun.

After Amelia went to work, I got an unexpected visit from Cindy.  She told me, "my sweet Wanda.  I am afraid it is time.  We have to get you back soon.  The unrest is settled back at your home and besides, you have other tasks."  I told her I just needed some more time here. My little friend is being stubborn and will not come out to play.  Cindy gave me something and told me, "when Petre and Amelia are sleeping, sprinkle this in on the bed."  I ask her what it was and she said, "you will find out, but I can't do it, it has to be done by a fairy."  She also told me, I would be a teen soon and then I had one day to tie up any loose ends.  This is getting hard, I don't want to leave, but it is not in my destiny to stay.  I have other people that need me.

I ask if this is what I thought it was, "you pay no mind about it, my sweet Wanda.  The reason will become clear soon as to why your little friend will not come out."  About that time, Petre came home.  He didn't know about this latest development and Cindy told me not to tell him.  Cindy and Petre chatted for a bit and I heard bits and pieces of their conversation, something about blocks and babies and then Cindy left, she said she was very tired and needed her rest.

I was very nervous about sneaking into their bedroom, but I must do this.

I brought out the sparkly stuff that Cindy gave me and sprinkled it on the bed, task complete.

The next day, Amelia wanted to chat.  I wasn't sure how much I could really tell her, but she wanted to know where I had come from.  I told her my land had been under seige and there was alot of fire and people ran all directions.  Evil witches from the other dimension, wanted the fairy land.

Everyone got out safely and our witches from our dimension took the infants.

I know Amelia wanted to hear more, but I think I have said enough.  She will know more when it is time.  She hugged me and said she was glad I had come into their lives and I was their miracle and she would make sure to protect me forever.

I still just couldn't understand why my little friend didn't want to come out to play, there has to be a reason.

Things sort of settled into a routine.  Petre kept up with homeschooling Wanda, which was a good thing.  Even if we had sent her to school, it had been closed on account of heavy snow. I woke up one morning not feeling too good.  I wasn't sure what was wrong, but I felt so ill.

It was around noon later that day, that I finally felt like eating something and Petre made me lunch and we sat and talked for a bit.  I told him, if this kept up, I guess I should go see a doctor and he agreed. He looked very worried and we were hoping it wasn't a come back of my illness I had before we got married.

Poor little Wanda, she could only watch as I kept running to the bathroom and she looked so sad.  Did she know something that I didn't?

The next evening, Wanda said she felt strange and then she whirled around and became a teen.....

Wanda

It was my birthday, or so that is what they call it here.  Where I come from, it is called, "coming of age."

I stood there for a minute contemplating the situation, coming of age means a whole new load of thoughts and ideas that come into your head, you didn't have before.

I went and picked up my little friend one last time.  I wasn't sure what to do now, but Cindy had said, everything will come to light soon.

All I could do was think and knew I was going to break some hearts soon.  I knew this was my last day in this dimension and I feel like I had failed.

Then, all of a sudden, I heard Amelia cry out from the bedroom.  I rushed in to see what happened.  She was looking down and rubbing her belly and shouted, "I feel something moving."

Wanda

I called Cindy and told her the good news.  She said she would be over shortly and that it was time.

I went into my room and blessed the room and sprinkled fairy dust around to ensure the little ones safety.  That is one of the neat things about being a fairy.

I also blessed Amelia and told her it was just an extra boost and the baby would be fine.  She was a little hesitant at first, but I knew she trusted me.  I felt so sad that I had to leave such wonderful people and I will miss them terribly.

I also gave her some fairy dust to hold on to.  Then I explained that I had to go back to my land.  I told her everything and she looked so sad.

About that time, Cindy arrived and said that we had to hurry. I put my hand on Amelia's tummy and told  the little one to take care of mommy and daddy and I would always be in their hearts.  Now I knew why my little friend never came out to play.  You see, fairy's carry around a doll that is suppose to come to life in certain circumstances.  It doesn't come out when circumstances change.  When they come out, they can come to life and then we use a potion to make them a real child.  That was the plan all along, but things changed when Amelia became pregnant with her own child.  We just helped with witch and fairy magic.

Cindy, Amelia and Petre sat for moment so Cindy could explain the situation, she is much better of explaining things than I am.  She told Ameilia and Petre, that they had heard of a good and kind couple that couldn't have children and that was just before the evil witches came to our land.  Cindy went went on to explain, that she grabbed me and left and that is how we ended up here.  Cindy wasn't sure of the outcome, since they really had not gotten all of the information and she was finally contacted by the Witch Council and Fairy Council to proceed with our task.  Now it was time to go and Cindy and I set out and blessed the rest of the house to keep our little family safe.

It finally came time to give hugs and Cindy said we had to take a taxi out to the edge of town and then we would fly from there.  This is such a sad and happy time and I know Amelia and Petre will make wonderful parents.

The taxi pulled up outside and I took Cindy's hand and said I was ready, well kind of.  Amelia started crying as we got in the taxi and I will never, ever forget my wonderful family.

The moral of this story is, people come into our lives for a reason and then sometimes they leave for no reason, but for the most part, they leave an impression on us that we can't explain.  Amelia and Petre are good people and they deserved a little one of their own.  Funny thing is, I had to switch the story around, because I could not get the popup to let the imaginery friend out to play. I had the potion ready, but I could just never get that message.  Not sure why, but I suppose it turned out well in the end.  I had fun playing this game and will continue to play this family, as I sort of got attached to them, lol.

Such a heart-warming story :) I'm glad Amelia and Petre got their happy ending.
From the moment I fell down that rabbit hole I've been told what I must do and who I must be. I've been shrunk, stretched, scratched and stuffed into a teapot. I've been accused of being Alice, and of not being Alice, but this is my dream. I'll decide where it goes from here.

I wonder if, since Wanda was adopted and she had the imaginary friend in her inventory, if that is why I couldn't get the message to set it on the ground.  I know they were best friends, because she played with it all during being  toddler and youth, oh well.   :)
