Once all requirements are completed, then you are free to use whatever methods you wish to extend an heir's life.  It is the current active heir that cannot have life extended.  Your founder, I assume she already gave birth to heir #1?  You didn't break any rules, but you will just have to wait longer for your founder to die again for the large tombstone requirement.

If this is immortal dynasty, then yes you have messed up, but this is 4x4, you're good.

Marvellous to hear. Yes, it is the founder and they did give birth to an heir. Just as well as they're not quite at 150k Happiness Points yet! 0.o

1. Does tiberium grown into large spire cuts from lesser cuts and dusts count for the gem collection?
Collected and cut by a founder/heir of course?

They do, and I hope so ^.^

2. Does band gig opportunities count for exclusive opportunities?

If they come under Work, Skill or Special, yes.

Another thought: with writers, does the specialisation challenge count as one unique challenge, or does specialising in each genre count as one unique challenge. I'm assuming the former.

Hi!

I finished my Life states dynasty a few days ago and i'm looking forward to taking a stab at this one.

Just wanted to confirm that we must keep the game length sliders at default setting.

I'm sure we could all use the extra days...  ;)

If you mean the age sliders, they must be set to Medium, at 52 days.

I have a question about moving to the next town.

I suppose my heir needs to complete the requirements to bring in the next heir before moving.

If I move without a partner, do I need to get 2 new best friends before trying for baby? Or do the old ones I left behind count?

I asked Metro about best friends and moving quite a long time ago (I can't remember whether it was in this thread or when the challenge was being developed) and he said that the best friends from the pre-move town counted.

Yeah, it would count if they had 2 unique BF at moving time and then lost them after moving. There's nothing anyone can do about that game mechanic.

It's on page 2. :)

I think I've caught a bug in my fridges. After I've moved into a new town all the meals, fruits, fishes, vegetables, cheese and meats are still in the fridge despite selling it before I moved. Last dynasty I though it was because I had the kelvin fridge in the family inventory when I moved, but the same thing happened this time when it should have been sold along with everything else left behind in the house.

This sure is strange but also slightly useful.

Did you just sell the refrigerator or sell the items in the refrigerator? If you just sold the refrigerator, then the items will come back after you buy another refrigerator.

I just sold the refrigerator, oh well that solves it.
Better to empty all contents in someone inventory and then move them out.

I have a question about nanites and the family four collection. If I catch a valuable nanite in the wild and then reverse engeneer it, can I then create that nanite four times and use it for my collection? I understand I can't use nanites I buy from the bot emporium, but if I catch it in the wild first I think it should be fine just like things created by the science skill are. Or am I wrong?

Hi, I was wondering about the Top End Stereo from the Music career and the laptop a sim gets in the forensic branch of law enforcement, do they count as career rewards for the challenge same as the kelvin fridge and squad car?

I know that they count as valid career rewards in the Life States Dynasty, so I can't see why they wouldn't count for this one.

Bleh.

The auto-refuse for opportunities still happens on community lots, and frankly, I'm not sure if I can tolerate this any longer - current Sim and 2 more heirs are for self employment, everyone else is rabbit-hole, but current Sim is also now in Business to get those opportunities.

Could someone PM me the name of the non-mod that will turn off ITF for the file, if I decide to go that route? I have a terrible memory right now. :-\

Thanks.

It's the Sims 3 Game Selector at Mod the Sims.

I haven't run into the bug thanks to not having Into the Future, but it sounds awful and I hope your game can go on. :(

Thanks, Trip.

It's very frustrating, to be sure, as the current house is ITF themed, so I'd have to redo the whole thing. I'm just hoping to get the 4 opportunities through Business before the heir dies.

I wonder, what are the rules if I turn ITF off for the self employment generations, then turn it back for the others? Is that permitted or a no-no?

Not sure, Ill check with the team and will let you know.

Normally i would just turn it off for the rest of the dynasty, don't know if the boss allows you turning it back and forth.  I'lll check with the team and let you know.

I just wanted everyone to know that stardust and dark matter that you collect on Simulon V doesn't show up in the collection journal, so they don't count as either space rocks or gems or any of those things and can be used in the family four collection.

Shirin-
Confirmed with Metro, the answer is "yes, it is permitted".

Does this mean that other expansions can be turned on and off or is it an ITF-only concession because of the bugs?
