I have a child sim outside my household who is in "bot-mode". According to a comment from SassySimmer on the Bot Fan Trait info page on the guide, this prevents a sim from aging up on their birthday. Sure enough, this sim's younger sister is now a teen, while she is still a child. I went into a parallel file and checked her age - she is 0 days to aging up. It has been several days - she's still a child. What are my options here? Should I reset Sim? Can I leave her be? Give her a birthday cake? Remove the cardboard bot-head via a make-over?

You can use a birthday cake and cake her up.

Hello! I'm attempting a dynasty (just a private one) and I have sort of an odd question: Can a pet purchase the young again reward as long as they don't use it? For example, I want the family's dog Misty to purchase the young again potion just so I can revive her and make her young after I complete the dynasty (assuming I do ;D). As long as she doesn't use the potion before my dynasty is completed and it just stays in a chest somewhere until I do, is it fine for her to buy it?

The laws are technically against the use of the Young Again potion, so I don't see anything wrong with just buying it (you're allowed to make the potions at the chemistry set during the course of the dynasty, which is kind of similar).

Anyone else want to weight in?

Agree with Trip.  As long as you don't use the potion, buying it is fine.

Thank you both! I'm on generation three and I really didn't want my dynasty to end just because the dog bought a potion.

My founder has somehow lost a trait. I've looked behind the couch and I found it (it was Artistic), so I was wondering if I can return it to her and how I go about doing so.

Thank you, Dek

Dek-

1) Open the cheats panel (Control + Shift + C) type testingcheatsenabled true, then hit Enter.
2) Left click on the problem sim to choose the sim.
3) Now right click on the sim, you should see the option "modify traits", click on that
4) This will open up the sims trait panel, you should have 4 traits and 1 empty trait.  From the list pick "artistic" add it back on.
5) Hit accept / done.
6) Open the cheats panel (Control + Shift + C) type testingcheatsenabled false, then hit Enter.

I'm back regarding the age stuck Bot Fan child in town. She did not age up with a cake. I went back into the parallel file & tried some testing.

Here's what I discovered: Now that she's been caked, she will age up immediately when she changes her own form to "organic". There is no way to do this outside the household. Reset Sim doesn't change her; a potent cure elixer does nothing; She's too young for an age of instant elixer; Personality elixer (to get rid of Bot Fan) will kick in only after she goes organic (like the birthday cake); She cannot be given a makeover ("cannot make over transformed Sims"); Shift-click & trigger age transition on testing cheats enabled - again nothing.

Permission to leave her be for now? Is it okay to bring her into the household (and fix her) later? EDIT: I mean bring her into the household later and fix her right away  when I do.

Can you ignore the age stuck bot fan child in town and NOT bring her into the household?
