My current file has been corrupted (I think). Has anyone else had a bug where your sims could not use beds? I cleared the cache, and they still can not use them.

Have you tried deleting and replacing them?

@Dagger

Put your bed in a different room, sometimes a certain room is bugged.  Let us know if that solves the problem.

I tried deleting the bed, and replacing it, but all beds do not work for any sim.

You have permission to evict the family in edit town, then put them back in the same house.  This has solve the bed problem for other players, it should solve it for you too.

It did not work for me. Could I try going to an older save?

Did you check and see if your old save have the same problem?  Also do you have any mods?   If you do, remove mods might help.

If all else fails, you have permission to go back to an old save.

I have question!  Hope that you don't mind for such silly question :-[
If Sim already an Immortal can he/she quit or change the job? I just want to make sure about this one.
Thanks!

The rules say: "As long as your immortal did max a unique career they do not need to be at level 10 when it’s time to eat Ambrosia—retiring is an option."

So yes, they can quit. :)

The use of mods is not allowed, so that better not be the problem.  ;)

That's not the problem ;) I think I'm going to try and go back to an old file or just start over (It will only be like the billionth time I've attempted it).

I could've sworn that I've read the decision for this problem before, but my searches won't find it, so I'm going to ask again  :-[

My founder rolled a wish to have a child right after she gave birth, and I let her adopt a child while the official gen 2 firstborn was still a baby. Now, the rules only say

Quote
The firstborn child of any generation is the targeted immortal. In the event a pregnancy results in twins or triplets, then the first named child is the next immortal.

So I think I'm okay, but did I jeopardize HOF because my targeted immortal is no longer the oldest in her generation?

Niana-

I found it, page 336.  Someone mention the very same problem you have, and Rica is fairly certain that it is ok.

I see that aliens sims are allowed in the household. I just want to clarify, does that mean it is OK for an heir to be half alien? I.E. one of the heirs is abducted by aliens and becomes pregnant? Thank you so much. :)

You can't keep abduction babies, no matter who they're from. The way that you get aliens in the dynasty household is by moving them in with you the usual way. Then they can make alien babies with your sims.

Welcome to the forum Dulcea.

If an abducted heir becomes pregnant, they must send the alien baby back to the home world when it is born.

In the rules it states,

  • All children that result from abduction pregnancies must be returned to their homeworld and cannot become a part of the household.

I completed my immortal dynasty link and was wondering if I have to notify someone in order to have the story moved to the completed stories as well as get in to HoF?

What did you like most about the Immortal Dynasty?
What was most difficult for you?

Congrats Pernille  :D

Can anybody who's ever done fishing as a supermax tell me if they did okay for ops? so far since leaving school my sim has had just one for some dragonfish, his phone never rings yet the rest of the household are still getting constant calls, he has other skills besides fishing, knows people about town but they never call not even just to chat, I got him opportunistic as well but so far nothing.

He's supermaxed the skill now and also maxed the career and is still only a young adult, would it be a good idea to change his job to something else maybe now he no longer needs to fish? I still have some rabbit hole careers free I could use, I know Private Eye is good for ops but he's gen eight and my game is so unbelievably slow now not sure I could cope with a profession  :-\

Well, as far as I know Opportunistic only increases your payout for completing ops, it has no effect on actually getting the phone calls. If he has a lot of other skills then that in itself reduces the chance of a fishing phone call because the game has so many options to pull from.

Yes I did think that from the description but it seemed worth a shot, he has skill points in all four instruments and a couple in charisma, I had him learn charisma as the rest of the house always get calls for that, you'd think the game would throw one of them his way  ::) At present despite the game having options to pull from it's ignoring all of them in favour of the other immortals, rather frustrating.

Has anyone in your dynasty done the business career yet? If I don't feel like playing a PI, I usually throw sims into business for ops as a last resort since business usually has a decent number of ops.

Only a spare so it was one of my possible options, either that or music, thanks Trip I think I might give that a shot, he's so far well on course for ambrosia as soon as his elder museum is done I'd hate to reach his elder birthday and still have to hang around waiting for phone calls especially with my current lag issues, the AI is as good as non existent right now they just stand about looking lost till I direct them to do something before they starve, pee themselves or pass out so I'm quite looking forward to the finishing line  :D
