I'm having trouble starting an immortal dynasty, because I have pets. I was going to put it in Sunset Valley, but the equestrian center is taking up the lot. I bulldozed it, and it showed as a lot, but when I tried to place my sim in it, the open lot symbol would not show up. I tried bulldozing it again, but then it stopped being a lot all together. I tried to put the largest side lot there in world editor, but it said it wouldn't fit. What's the problem? I've had this problem before trying to place venues, but that may be unrelated.

I think your problem is that after you take out the equestrian center, the lot is still a community lot. After you take it off, click the lot and change lot type to residential.

That's probably it. You also have to turn new lots you've placed in the world into community lots before you can place things on them. You'll notice that the community lot symbol has a square with a diamond under it, while residential lots just have a diamond

(IMPORTANT NOTE: While you can create new lots in this dynasty, the ruling is that all new lots must be used prior to the dynasty. So, you can create more lots in Sunset Valley to make space for all the bars if you wanted, but you can't create a new lot and leave it empty so you'd have a nice place to create a park in a few generations. At least, if I remember correctly. The specifics were updated when Island Paradise came out and maybe since then.)

EDIT: Link to the official ruling

I did change it to residential. It showed up as a residential lot until I clicked "place" on my sims tab.

I think since the University Life EP came out there are two types of residential lots. Regular and apartment, I think. I'm not sure if those are the exact names but did you make sure it was a regular residential lots?

I thought it came with a patch, not the EP. But maybe I'm wrong. You could also try quitting the game and loading it up again to see if it'll work the second time for you.

About Imaginary friends, are we allowed to make them real but then kick them out?
Or if it's not allowed but I really want to make a story involving IF, then I should make it with a separate save?

Because I think I want to make a story involving IF but their pudding face is totally not appealing.

Imaginary friends are allowed, I believe, but you cannot kick them out.

If you don't want an IF in the house but want them as a part of the story, then yes, separate save or incorporating them into the story without turning them real. And Bubbles is right about the rules involving IFs.

I think this got lost in my rambling and other questions, but; Can a founder be created with two pets (I.E. A dog and a cat both with the genius trait)?

That's fine too. :)

Alright, time for my question!

While I don't participate in the Tournament Challenges, I keep up to date with the rules for the sake of knowing them. Recently, Metro brought up that using MoveObjects on to get the price of an unfinished sculpture is going to be banned in the 2014 Tournament. I was just wondering if this will affect dynasty rulesets at all.

Untill now the ruleset for the challenges and the dynasties have been individual and had nothing to do with each other. So my guess is that when they change the rules for the tournaments, the dynasties wont be affected.

Correct. All existing Dynasty rulesets are already in place. Changes made for the 2014 Tournament events are a different animal.
