I have to try Ambrosia!  ;D

Last night I dreamed that I was a Sim... like, with a list of pending actions in the upper corner and thought bubbles and speaking simmlish and everything. I should really play less...

Immortal Dynasty... please give me my life back!!!!  ::)

You know you've played too much Sims when you write this for a french test,

Le week-end dernier je suis allee a sunset valley. C'etait Cool. J'ai apprendre a Simlish et j'ai fait a sims s'appelle Agnes

Which pretty much means:
Last weekend I went to sunset valley. It was cool. I learnt simlish and meet a sim called agnes.

You know you've played too much Sims when ....

You actually care about the fact that the thing doesn't work, and you spend more time trying to work around bugs/glitches than actually playing the game.

After 10 years of TS1/2/3, I think it's time we moved on ...  :'(

You know you've played too much Sims when you answer the post above with this:

NEVER! I'm not quitting The Sims until they stop making it!

Well, like Naga said, I'm not gonna give up my sims! I never played 1 or 2 so I think I'm alright, I still got many many years of sims ahead of me!  ;D

I played Sims Safari, Sim Town, Sim City, Sim Park and all those games as a kid, but I never played The Sims 1 or 2.
I'm so glad I came across Sims 3 though!

And I agree with you - I can't move on from the Sims 3 either hahaha.

You gotta try TS1 and TS2. For TS1, I recommend buying the full package, with all expansions. You'll find the game very limited, but you'll get the essence of how everything was. If possible, install 1 expansion at a time, and explore it's content to the maximum. For TS2, I greatly recommend Pets, but you may try other expansions too. It's good to see how much the game improved 1-2 and then compare 2-3, and wait for the re-launch of old expansions.

Is it 10 years already? And I'm 22... that means I've spent pretty much half a life in Sunset Valley  ;D.

Oh and Naga's right... you should try sims 1 and 2.  Old expansion packs were really cool actually... specially Pets and Seasons which were huge revolutions in the game I think.

Well in order for me to play 1 and 2 with the EP's, I would have to buy them, and considering how much I've already spent on 3, I definitely can't afford 1 and 2!!

The Sims 1 Complete Collection is quite cheap, really. Well, I guess it depends on where you live. Still worth getting, in my opinion.

I just looked it up on Amazon, and it's $199.99. I probably have spent more on 3 if you consider I plan on buying all the EP's as they come out, but still that's too much for me. Well, for 3 it's not but I'm seriously addicted to 3!  ;D

Hmmm ... $199, eh?  There must be a market for my full set of TS1 and TS2, together with the Prima manuals.   ;D
If they worked on a Mac, I'd be reverting to TS2 for sure.

You know you've played too much Sims when...

  • You keep sending your sims to the toilet and then realize that you are the one who needs to go.
  • You watch closely as your sim prepares a grilled cheese sandwhich and want to eat it.
  • You hear yourself say "No, she does not need to go into the crib!"
  • You hum "Oh Where is My Mummy" off-key in the shower exactly the way your sim sings it.
  • You say goodbye to your husband with "Soon-soon"
  • When you're hungry you get your husband's attention with "Padaboo?!" and motion to your mouth.

EDIT:  I have also thought the game time is real!  Glad I'm not alone.

-You randomly break out in song like: Bandinei to wa zo hei, banda glarn fel chum chow wei
-You think: ResetSim Seabody
-You say simlish randomly. Listen mate, you need to banda fel onta waen.
-You think: His plumbbob is yellow. His is red. Hers is light green.

... your boyfriend comes home with a jaunty tune stuck in his head, he hums it for you, asks "What is that song?"  and the answer is "The song they play when you're on a ghost hunter job."  I got the song stuck in his head and he doesn't even play.

... you get yourself to do your cleaning chores by saying, "If it gets done my disgusted moodlet will go away." "Time for laundry, and a +10 clean sheet moodlet!"

...When you compare real life events to Sims moodlets. Sitting near fire? Cozy Fire moodlet!
...When you can't think of anything to speak about but Sims.
...When you allow yourself to do a certain interaction to someone only in Sims order, aka chat, and then only compliment.
...When you choose traits for yourself when writing an autobiography.

I know I've been playing too much Sims when I dream about my Sim.

Also, when I plan my Immortal Dynasty story at work. (SHH!!)

AND when I cried last night because I couldn't play! My boyfriend dragged me to this horrible timeshare presentation that took three hours and I was really cranky and frustrated since I hate getting the "hard sell". I burst into tears at the very end of it as we were leaving and he said "Whats Wrong?" and through tears I said "I'm tired, hungry, cranky, and I wish I had spent the last three hours playing Sims!!"   ;D
