Game unable to load error [Save Error 102/122]
« on: September 16, 2014, 06:53:26 PM »
I was trying to go into build mode on a lot to bulldoze the whole house, however, when I try to go into build mode, it goes to the big plumbob loading screen and then goes back to world view with an error box that says Game is unable to load.  error code (a bunch of numbers here) please restart the game.  Anyone else have this problem and know how to fix it?  Thank you for your help!  I would post a screenshot, but I am unsure of how to do this since I can only upload rar, mp3, mp4, and zip files?!

*Update: June.20.2018*

Parts of this error was fixed in a previous patch, but has returned for some players. It seems this could be due to outdated mods/cc.

Here are a few troubleshooting tips to try:

1. Even if you do not have mods or custom content installed, delete the game cache, and the localthumbcache.package from the Sims 4 folder, as this helps some game issues.

Delete Game Cache Files (What and How-To)

2. If you do use mods and cc, move the mods folder to desktop (for testing purposes) and delete the localthumbcache.package from the Sims 4 folder. - This is to fully make sure it's not outdated mods/cc, or mods/cc that are no longer in game or some hidden files in the Mods folder.

How to Move the Mods Folder to Desktop:
[Go to C:\Users\Username\Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4 and click on the Mods folder, select Cut and paste it to the desktop for testing purposes.]

If the game runs well without the mods folder. This most likely means that it is outdated mod or cc. This can happen as we get updates for the game, some mods and custom content become outdated. You'll need to to go through your mods folder to find what needs to be replaced or deleted.

How to Fix Problems with Mods/CC

3. Repair Game:
In Origin > Games Library, right-click on Sims 4 and select Repair. - Do note this repairs the game's install files for the actual game. It does not make any changes to the saved game files. Meaning that your saved games are safe, they won't be deleted. If you'd like you can copy the Sims 4 folder to a USB key.

4. Try a Sims 4 factory reset and a new game save without mods/cc.

Thank you SO much for sharing the link to the photo. It seems like it's a bugged hidden trait, called Beloved trait from what I can tell.

To learn more about the error, look at the topic below.

Seems for now that the only way to fix it is to cheat and type:

traits.remove_trait Legendary

That will remove the Beloved trait and fix the issue. With all that being said & in order to have the Beloved trait, a patch would be the only way to fix it by correcting whatever is wrong with the Beloved trait that is causing this. --

I hope this helps, :)

Thank you so much for your information. It is so weird that a trait like that would affect the game in such a way.  Glad there's people like you out there finding cures to our ailments!
