Sharing Photos on the Forum

In this post I'm sharing some information on how to share photos on our forum.

Preferred Photo Size to Share with Forum:

Limit images to no more than 25 per post. The preferred size for the Forum is no more than 800 width in .jpg or .jpeg format.

If you upload the photos to the forum using the attachment feature, images will be down sized to 800x450. See the link below for more details.

Jpg or .jpeg format is overall a smaller format than .png. Plus .jpg or .jpeg files are much kinder to mobile users and is easier to share via the web.

By default Sims 4 screenshots are .png and Sims 3 photos are saved as .jpg. Read more about this and why we prefer photos be shared in .jpg the post linked below:

Photo hosting sites do not change your image file format for you. You have to edit the photos and then save them as a .jpg or .jpeg and then upload them to a photo hosting site of your choice. You can use IrfanView to convert your .png files to .jpg or .jpeg files.

If you want the image bbcode, click the Insert Image button [Button with image in a frame] in the Editor menu above the message box. Add the image link in between the image tags, as shown below. (Click image to enlarge)
