Big Brother Los Aniegos, The Exciting Conclusion!

~ Big Brother - Los Aniegos ~

Hey everyone, long time no see! I'm all done with my postgrad and SO excited to be back on the forum! Sadly I can't work on my town jump because my computer won't run the game, but luckily for you I once played an entire Big Brother Challenge without posting it. Yeah, I don't know how I managed to put this off for four years either, but it means I can do some writing while I work on getting my game running. Hooray!  :D

This story is set in Los Aniegos (Late Night Edition) by Coasterboi, used with permission. The gameplay is based on AnnBeiFong’s Big Brother Challenge. The following additions have been made to the rules:
  • The contestants’ appearances have been customised, but their traits are still random.
  • Housemates are allowed one flirt at the start of the challenge to encourage romance.
  • Sims can be controlled if they’re stuck or in the way of something.
  • Broken appliances are replaced in Buy Mode rather than being repaired by housemates.
  • Free will is temporarily disabled during elimination to facilitate posing.
  • The Newspaper Service is cancelled at the start of the challenge.

Introduction

Hi everyone, thanks for tuning in to this season of Big Brother. I’m Ausette, and I’m coming to you live from 2011 the beautiful city of Los Aneigos. Soon we’ll be off to the airport to meet our eight contestants, but first let’s take a look around the house they’ll be staying in for the next few weeks.

Our Big Brother mansion is situated high up on Hillwood Court and has a glorious view of the city lights and consignment store parking lot. It comes with four twin bedrooms, one uncomfortably cramped bathroom that I regret building, a fancy suite for the Head of Household, a task/gnubb room, a (fenced off) swimming pool, and the ubiquitous hot tub. Plus a nice big gate, we don’t want them escaping. Ok, tour is over now. We’ll be seeing a lot more of the house in the upcoming weeks anyway, and I’m sure you’re all itching to meet the housemates. And here they are!

Eight different Sims, with eight different personalities, from eight different walks of life. All young, eager, single, and stupid. Over the next few weeks, they’ll need to learn new skills and really get to know each other’s thoughts if they want to take home the $100,000 cash prize. Let’s get to know them now then, shall we?

Alexa, a Twinbrook Stylist, has the Flirty, Star Quality, Family-Orientated, Party Animal, and Childish traits. She’s absolutely thrilled to be on TV and hopes to pick up a few fans.

Daisy has the traits Great Kisser, Dramatic, Inappropriate, Daredevil, and Mean Spirited. She’s a Sunset Valley girl who just lost her job as a Spa Specialist and wants to earn an easy buck.

Jacob is an unemployed Sim who lives in Union Cove. He doesn’t get to enjoy the beaches though, because on top of being a Clumsy, Family Orientated, Bookwormy Couch Potato, he’s also Hydrophobic. Let’s hope he gets by without the hot tub sessions, then.

Koala  is a Flirty, Vegetarian, Athletic Mooch with Commitment Issues. She loves meeting new people and would like a career in Sports.

Luca, a Barnacle Bay boy, has the traits Flirty, Disciplined, Vehicle Enthusiast, Good and Charismatic. He has a part-time job as a yoga instructor and came on the show to meet new people.

Simon was originally an understudy for the show, but he managed to get in after five prospective contestants suffered mysterious accidents. He works in a warehouse in Riverview, and we’re told by his psychiatrist that he has the Mooch, Evil, Handy, Over Emotional, and Genius traits.

Susan is an up-an-coming profession chef who owns a diner in Barnacle Bay. She’s a Great Kisser, a Technophobe, a Natural Cook, a Vehicle Enthusiast, and very Ambitious. She hopes getting on the show will earn some publicity for her restaurant.

Finally, Tommy is a fifth-generation Twinbrook resident who came on the show to get away from his parents. He’s a professional bouncer who has the Hot-Headed, Loves the Outdoors, Vegetarian, Heavy Sleeper, and Athletic Traits.

Well, that’s all for now, folks. Make sure you tune in after the break for some mediocre skilling, half-hearted bonding, and lots of gratuitous skinny dipping!

Week One, Part One

Welcome back to Big Brother. Before the break, we met the contestants and saw them arrive in Los Aniegos. After one last look at the outdoors, the housemates grimly file into the mansion that will be their home for the next few weeks, locking the gate behind them.

The teensy bathroom quickly becomes a problem. There’s no room to expand it, so I just have to shepherd Sims out of the way myself.

Luca, the most Charismatic housemate, chooses to break the ice with a bracing daylight ghost story.

Alexa, on the other hand, decides to really scare everyone.

Luca doesn’t seem to mind.

In fact, he jumps right in after her with three other Sims, kick-starting the skinny dipping fad that will plague this household right up to the end of the challenge. I’m not exaggerating; all these Sims do is tell ghost stories and take their clothes off. They’re lucky this isn’t a slasher film or they’d all be dead by the end of the week.

Well, Jacob would probably survive. While the less inhibited housemates sit naked in the hot tub, he hangs around the living room wholesomely admiring the artwork. Luckily for Jacob, at midnight the skilling equipment goes out so he can work on his….

LOGIC skill! This week, the task room has been filled with chess sets for the housemates to skill with.

Jacob, naturally, is the first housemate to earn a Logic point. Look at that smug little face.

The next Sim to earn a point is Simon. Thanks to his Genius trait, he has a natural advantage at this challenge.

The other Sims drift through the task room over the next few days, but Jacob is an almost constant presence. Seriously, go Jacob! He has a solid rival in Simon, but he’s still a strong competitor because he initiates so many chess sessions. He’s the tortoise to Simon’s hare.

Simon and Jacob’s skill levels remain close for the whole competition. By Wednesday night, both have three Logic points. Eventually the challenge draws to a close, and the winner for the week is…

Jacob, by a whisker. He wins the key to the Head of Household suite, immunity from elimination, and the honour of choosing who’s up for elimination this week.

For Jacob, the choice is a no-brainer. He picks the jerks.

Who will go home this week? Will it be brash blonde Daisy Tumbles, or the quietly aggressive Tommy Knack? Find out after the break on Big Brother, Los Aniegos!

Week One, Part Two

Welcome back to Big Brother. Earlier in the show, we saw Jacob win this week’s challenge and nominate Tommy and Daisy for elimination. They have until the end of the week to convince the rest of the household not to vote them out.

Tommy reacts to his nomination the way he reacts to everything: with thinly contained rage. Tommy’s Hot-Headed, and it doesn’t take much to set him off. He doesn’t have any friends in the household because he shouts down all their conversations before they begin.

He likes to spend his time alone in the hot tub, which seems to calm him down until someone steals his clothes and ticks him off again.

Daisy at least socialises while she’s hot-tubbing, but I think it’s just an excuse to get naked with people. She’s a bit of a flirt and hasn’t been fully dressed since the day she stepped into the house.

She also enjoys picking fights with female housemates. She charms the boys and mocks the girls, and Alexa simply loathes her.

You’d think the two nominees might bond over their hot-tubbing and antisocial tendencies, but sadly that is not the case. Tommy rejects Daisy’s flirtations, and she promptly slaps him across the face. Things go downhill from there pretty quickly.

Here they are brawling in the kitchen, to the interest of no one.

As revenge, Tommy takes over cooking for the household. Vegetarianism is strictly enforced.

Daisy is forced to admit defeat. Since Tommy wasn’t giving her the time of day, she quickly moves onto the other housemates and WHOA WHOA WHOA WHAT ARE YOU DOING?

Way to use that Inappropriate trait, Daisy! Luca and Daisy are officially Love Interests now, the first ones in the house.

Daisy may be crazy, but I can’t blame her for chasing Luca. He’s charming, he’s popular, and he’s got all the ladies swooning in his wake.

So it’s unlucky for Daisy that he happens to have a thing for Koala.

Daisy is furious. She screams at Koala until her Hunger motive drops to red, then goes back after breakfast to scream some more. She can’t believe Luca would betray her, especially after such a Great Kiss. So how does she get back at the man who broke her heart?

Why, by trying to seduce Koala, of course! I almost died laughing at this stage. Koala is naturally very creeped out by Daisy’s actions, and she pretty much avoids her for the rest of the week.

On the bright side for Daisy, I think Jacob’s on her side now.

With Daisy humiliated, Luca and Koala are free to be together. They spend almost every waking moment with each other. It’s adorable!

The rest of the week passes without any major drama. The household spends the days skinny dipping, telling spooky stories, and playing with the Gnubb set I give them between challenges, until Elimination Day abruptly dawns.

This morning is the final chance for the nominees to scrape together some allies.

Tommy, yelling at people will not make them like you.

Same to you, Daisy. I love how Koala’s just calmly enjoying Daisy’s social failures.

At five o’clock, everyone is gathered up for elimination.

The housemates cast their votes. The nominees are close, but with five out of eight votes the Sim going home in Week One of the Big Brother challenge is…

DAISY!

Daisy, Daisy, Daisy. Daisy was a saucy Sim who liked to strip, flirt and fight. The house will be less interesting without her. Goodbye, Daisy! Don’t forget to tune into next week’s episode of Big Brother, Los Aniegos!

Week Two

Welcome back to Big Brother. Last week, Jacob became Head of the Household and Daisy was voted out of the mansion. Tommy, the other nominee, seems a bit shocked that he actually got to stay.

Now that Elimination is out of the way, the next challenge can begin. The skill of the week is…

SCULPTING! Everyone instantly pops the wish to learn the skill, which is nice. Simon randomly pops a wish to kiss Susan, which is less nice. He’s creepy.

Anyway. Despite that bright start, the Sculpting stations aren’t used at all on the first day. Normally I’d be annoyed at the waste of time, but Luca and Koala were being distractingly adorable together.

Their blossoming love inspires Luca to earn the household’s first Sculpting point, but he runs off back to Koala before he can finish the sculpture.

Luca and Koala aren’t the only ones getting closer. Simon’s developed a bit of a thing for Susan, but being an Evil mastermind he doesn’t know how to show affection like a normal person. He tends to do things like this:

Or this:

Or this:

It may look awkward to you, but they’ve grown quite find of each other and it’s actually rather sweet. Susan’s very patient and well-adjusted, and I trust her to give Simon good life lessons.

It seems she managed to teach him about the value of hard work, because on the last day of the Sculpting challenge, Simon strides into the empty, dusty task room and picks up a chisel.

Voila! Two sculpting points and one glorious eyesore later Simon’s in the lead with no time left to be challenged.

Simon replaces a reluctant Jacob as this week’s Head of the Household. Once he can tear himself away from the computer, he nominates…

Alexa and Tommy! (This is my only pic where they weren’t fighting.) Who will go home this week? Will it be repeat offender Tommy Knack, or the aloof Party Animal, Alexa Washington? Find out after the break on Big Brother, Los Aniegos!

Week Two, Part Two

Welcome back to Big Brother. Earlier in the show, Simon became Head of the Household and nominated Tommy and Alexa for elimination. Simon’s enjoying having his own bathtub.

Jacob was asleep when the Sculpting challenge ended, so I had to kick him out of the Head of Household bed. I feel kind of guilty, but it’s probably for the best. Jacob’s relationships with the housemates have all but decayed after a week of non-stop TV and internet.

It’s not all bad for Jacob, though; much to the surprise of the household, he’s earned seven Cooking points and some new recipes from the TV. His cheese plates and falafel are a welcome variation from Tommy’s salads.

It doesn’t take long for Jacob to rekindle his relationship with Alexa. They were actually the first Sims to become friends back in Week One, so it’s nice to see them hanging out again.

Alexa tries to befriend some other housemates, but her methods tend to be a bit clumsy.

*snort*

Tommy, meanwhile, is starting to worry in earnest. Alexa’s nowhere near as crazy as Daisy was, so there’s a pretty good chance she’s going to win Elimination if Tommy doesn’t actively shape up socially.

He doesn’t quite feel up to talking with the housemates, so instead he takes up some household chores. He grimly prepares breakfast…

…And grimly mops the hot tub area.

But with Alexa using her looks to her advantage, all of Tommy’s domestic efforts are for naught. He decides it’s time to take drastic measures.

With a heavy heart, he forces a smile onto his face…

…and tries to make friends with Koala. Koala initially seems nervous, but she quickly warms up to him and even flirts a little bit. Tommy manages to surprise Koala and even himself with his newfound patience and approachability.

On Sunday morning, Koala invites Tommy and Alexa out to the hot tub for a chat. The three get along surprisingly well, sitting in the tub together for several hours. At five o’clock, they reluctantly head inside to cast their votes for Elimination.

The housemates make their choices. Tommy and Alexa are extremely close in votes, but the Sim going home this week with four votes out of seven is…

ALEXA!

After hearing the verdict, she says her goodbyes and strides right out with no regrets. Alexa was a free spirit who liked to shock people and have fun, and now that her time here is over she’s heading out into the city to party. Have fun Alexa, and don’t forget to tune into next week’s episode of Big Brother, Los Aniegos!

Week Three

Welcome back to Big Brother. Last week, Simon became the Head of the Household, Alexa was voted out of the mansion, and Tommy narrowly escaped elimination for the second time. I think he regrets staying on; he Loves the Outdoors and he’s starting to get a bit Stir Crazy.

As usual, the task room is stocked with skilling items at midnight. This week’s skill challenge is…

PAINTING! Hopefully we’ll see more effort this week than we did with the Sculpting challenge. I’m a little worried that the housemates will just sit in the hot tub and flirt with each other all week.

Never fear, Jacob is quick to prove me wrong. This particular painting is inspired by Tommy’s chest hair.

Judging by the amount of time he spends in the task room, Jacob is really enjoying this challenge. His only real rival is Susan.

Susan’s actually managed to surprise me. After weeks spent lurking in the background of the challenges, she’s all of a sudden become a real competitor. Not only has she befriended Simon and Luca, but she’s earned almost three points in the Painting skill already.

Simon is quick to help his friend out in the painting challenge, but despite all the distractions, Jacob refuses to give up.

I would say something like “Wow, he must really want that prize money!”, but this is a Couch Potato we’re talking about. I think he just wants his big TV back.

But Susan puts up a solid fight, even finishing up a large painting. After several days of hard work all around, the Sim with the most skill points by Wednesday night is…

Jacob! He’s thrilled to have his TV, computer, and canopy bed back. After a good night’s sleep, Jacob reveals this week’s nominees to be…

Koala and Tommy! Who will go home this week? Will it be the bubbly flirt, Koala Kim, or Tommy “Third-Time’s-The-Charm” Knack? Find out… right now, actually! I can fit this whole week into one update, fancy that!

This may be the third time Tommy’s been up for elimination, but it’s the first time he’s been up against someone popular. It doesn’t help that his rival this time is also his only friend in the house. Tommy knows he won’t get Koala’s sweetie Luca on his side, so he instead tries to bond with Susan.

Whoa, is that a smile I see? Tommy, you old softie! He actually manages to push his relationship with Susan up to a Friendship.

Emboldened by his success, Tommy tries to strike up a conversation with Simon.

It doesn’t seem to be going well.

Then again, we all know how Simon treats people he likes.

Now that this week’s challenge is over, the easels have been removed from the task room and replaced with a Gnubb set. No one’s any good at it yet, but it keeps them busy in the days leading up to Elimination.

Sunday morning eventually dawns, and Koala doesn’t have a care in the world. Not that she does normally.

Tommy engages in his usual pre-Elimination ritual, which is to scrub things and be moody. It’s a little sad he has to have a ritual for this, but he keeps the kitchen sparkling!

At five o’ clock, the housemates don their finest clothes and head to the living area to cast their votes. And the Sim going home this week, with four votes out of six, is…

TOMMY!

It took three eliminations to take him down, but Tommy Knack is finally going home. Tommy was a grumpy, stoic Sim who actually managed to make some friends and perhaps become a better person. And that’s something not even 100,000 simoleons can buy. Farewell Tommy, your salads will be missed. Don’t miss next week’s episode of Big Brother, Los Aniegos!

Week Four

Welcome back to Big Brother. Last week, Jacob won his second Head of the Household challenge and Tommy went home after his third nomination. This week, the contestants will be competing by playing the first of the musical instruments…

GUITAR! Note the dresser in the background. Since I don’t want everyone standing around watching each other play, I’ve assigned each Sim a bedroom and locked the instruments inside. Let’s hope it helps.

Oh, never mind.

Koala picks the skill up straight away. She’s determined to avoid nomination this week.

Koala is quickly followed by Susan…

…Who is followed by Luca…

…Who is followed by Simon. The only Sim who hasn’t had a shot yet is Jacob.

That’s because Jacob still has access to the fancy suite and all of the glories within. He hasn’t been away from his TV and computer all week.

Jacob, being a Couch Potato, isn’t bothered by his lack of progress. I’ve never seen him  cross at anything. It’s actually rather cute – his emotions range from adorably bewildered to totally blissed out with very little in between.

Sadly for Jacob, his time in the suite has come to an end. The Head of the Household for this week is…

Luca! He nominates Simon and Jacob. That’s bound to even the genders up, at least.

Luca quickly retreats to the HoH suite and doesn’t come out for a while.

Simon doesn’t seem too bothered by his nomination. Susan still puts up with him and that’s all he cares about.

Susan, are you OK? I hope constant harassment from the resident Evil Genius isn’t getting to her.

Jacob doesn’t take the nomination to heart, bless him. He and Luca are actually pretty close, but Luca would never nominate one of his girls.

Yes, girls. To my surprise, Luca was best friends with Susan as well as Koala. They spend a lot of their time chatting with each other and AAARGH!

Tommy Knack! WHY ARE YOU STALKING THE BIG BROTHER HOUSEHOLD? You were voted out fair and square!

…Felonies aside, the rest of the week proceeds without a hitch. Elimination day arrives all too soon.

And with three votes out of five, the Sim going home this week is…

JACOB!

I’ll miss ya, cutie. Now you can eat your TV falafel in peace. Tune in next week to Big Brother, Los Aniegos!

I'm awake for a fresh new chapter!

A part of me thought that Jacob would make it further, but he doesn't strike me as someone who's gonna be like Tommy the sore loser when he's out in the world. :P

Good idea, Susan's pretty tough :) . I'll mention this in a later chapter, but on a practice run for this challenge Susan won Head of the Household three times in a row.

Goodbye, Jacob.  You'll be missed.

Tommy coming back to stalk the house was really creepy - unless it was just that they're the nearest things he has to friends, of course.  He doesn't seem all that likely to be a big success in the outside world  :-\.  Speaking of which, I really like the look of Los Aniegos.  I've recently started playing with non-EA worlds but hadn't come across that one.

To be honest I'm pretty sure he did just drop in to be friendly. He just happens to look so aggressive all the time. :P

I love Los Aniegos! It's a bit of a strain on my laptop (as are all large cities) but the attention to detail is unbelievable. I play the Late Night version but I think it's been updated as far as Island Paradise now if you Google. I'm also fond of Setra by Pyronium3, Jericho by Simsample, and basically anything by RFlong7/RFlong13 (especially the first version of Haunted Valley, it's so cosy and atmospheric). :)

I'm kinda getting quite attached to Simon, he's quite endearing in his *special* way.

Lol, I'm glad you like him. He tries! :P

Week Five

Welcome back to Big Brother! Last week, Luca replaced Jacob as HoH and promptly bumped him out of the house. We’re now down to four contestants, all with established friendships and alliances.

And it looks like Week Five is the week of couples! It’s Simon and Susan vs. Luca and Koala, and one of those pairs will be split at the end of the week. It all comes down to which side wins this week’s skill point challenge. And the skill of the week is…

DRUMMING! I’ve deleted the dressers to make space for them. Who needs clothes in this house anyway?

Simon is the first to earn a Drumming point, and looks like he’s having a grand old time. He earns four points on the very first night. Four!

When morning breaks, he heads to the hot tub to rest his aching arms and enjoy the view.

With Simon in the lead and Luca in the HoH suite, Koala has no choice but to try the drums herself.

But Simon has a passion. Every night he heads back to his room to practice the drums. Yep, all three nights of the skill challenge. Perhaps he’s finally found an outlet for his evil urges?

And surprise surprise, guess who makes Head of the Household this week? Yes, Simon earns six and a half drumming points and nominates Luca and Koala for elimination.

He misses his drumkit and still pops wishes to play it, but at least Simon has virtual chess to keep him happy. He’s up to seven Logic points.

Now that they’re both up for elimination, Koala and Luca can’t bear to be apart.

See what I mean? They do this autonomously. It’s the closest they can get to spontaneous Woohoo (which they both have wishes for, by the way).

For the first time, Luca seems troubled by his prospects. He was the only household member who didn’t earn a single drumming point, and he knows this may have cost him his place in the challenge.

Even Koala looks somewhat disheartened this week. No matter what happens, she and Luca will be separated at elimination. One of them has to go home.

But Susan? Not a care in the world. She spends every waking moment in the hot tub.

In fact, she also seems more comfortable sharing with Simon than before. Here they are comparing tans at night.

Oh look, Jacob’s come to visit! Hi, Jacob! You can’t come in, sorry.

No Jacob, you can’t talk to the contestants. Please don’t lurk in the shadowy space directly under the hot tub. They tell enough ghost stories as it is.

The morning of the elimination, Koala accidentally breaks the hot tub. It’s replaced immediately, but she can’t help but worry about the omen of what’s to come.

Susan, meanwhile, takes a very long nap and almost misses the ceremony.

Simon, being considerate, wakes her up for it. So thoughtful!

And finally, the contestants meet outside for the penultimate elimination.

Two votes are cast for each nominee, so Simon acts as tiebreaker. And the Sim voted out of the Big Brother mansion this week is…

LUCA! He isn’t that bothered about leaving. He had a good run and he’s happy to have learned some skills. There’s just one thing left for him to do…

Tune in next week for the final elimination on Big Brother, Los Aniegos!

Week Six

Welcome back everyone to Big Brother, Los Aniegos! Last week, Simon won Head of the Household and kicked Luca out of the house. Koala’s not very happy about that outcome.

Oh dear. Life’s just not going well for Koala right now. Perhaps she can bury herself in the final skill challenge of the show…

PIANO! A classy instrument for a classy bunch of Sims. *snicker*

Koala (Lord it’s hard to fit those pompoms in a screenshot sometimes) immediately gets to work. She knows how close Susan and Simon are, so winning Head of Household is her only chance to reach the finale.

Look, I’d like to provide tension but these are my only two pics from the challenge. Koala wins by default with four points! Yay, finally a female Head of the Household! I don’t know what took them so long. In my practice run Susan won HoH three weeks in a row. But anyway, Koala is immune from elimination and Simon and Susan have been nominated by default.

Koala also becomes the only contestant to earn some Athletic points. It’s probably a good idea.

Meanwhile, Susan and Simon have adopted a different strategy – earning Koala’s friendship.

Simon, loner that he is, decides the best route is to win her heart indirectly by cleaning things.

Heavens knows she needs to be cleaned up after.

Oh look, the cleaning worked! Koala seems grateful at least, and that’s what matters.

Simon immediately follows it up by talking about exercise and TV, two topics Koala loves. Simon, you sly dog, when did you learn to suck up to people?

Susan, sensing her place in the finals slipping away, is on the scene so fast she clips Koala’s hand through her leg. She manages to distract Simon long enough for Koala to eat some rotten waffles and vomit everywhere.

I like this pic because it looks like the panda is puking.

But anyway, don’t get me wrong – Simon and Susan are quite happy together now, and it’ll be a shame to split them up. If anything, they might be getting too comfortable…

You see this? This is the view from an extremely posh apartment in the city. Imagine, for a moment, being rich and snobby and dismissive of the ill-behaved youth. And yet every time you glance to the west, you’re confronted by a view of THIS:

Can’t you hear the screams of frustration faintly in the distance? Also, note Simon sneaking out of the hot tub to steal Susan’s clothes.

Speaking of which, Susan has a very unique bug – whenever her clothes are stolen, smeary eyeliner appears on her face. She spends entire days wandering the house like this. So thanks to Simon, we have a smokey-eyed domestic toga goddess cooking Very Nice dishes for the humble residents of the mansion.

Good heavens! Simon, you’re starting to get creepy again.

Finally, the last elimination is upon us.  Koala strips off to jump in the hot tub, daring the others to join her for some last minute relationship points. There aren’t any takers, but she has a lovely day out there by herself.

And that evening, it’s up to Koala alone to decide who heads home this week. Will it be the quietly competitive Susan, or sinister genius Simon?

It’s close. It’s very close. But the Sim going home tonight by just a sliver of relationship value is…

SUSAN! (Sorry, everyone who liked her  :-\ )

Susan was easy-going and a very hard worker, which is probably what got her into the final three, but her aversion to socializing finally caught up with her. She puts on a brave face and wishes her friend good luck with the final challenge.

But as tough as she is, she can’t help but break down a little as she calls a taxi.

And that’s all for Big Brother this week. Join us next time to watch Simon and Koala go head-to-head in a surprising final challenge! Don’t miss the updates on past contestants or the exciting conclusion to the show here in Los Aniegos!

I'm not THAT surprised that Susan lost (not that I would be surprised if Simon did either; they're both quiet and it seems that victory is gained by being loud in the charming way), but she was a likable sim.

It is a little tough to believe that the season's almost over. :(

Yeah, it's an interesting mix of skill, friendship levels, and luck. Especially in the later rounds when a single Sim can decide who goes home.

It is a little tough to believe that the season's almost over. :(

I know! It's only been a week in real time! At least I've got my game running, so I might be able to update the Joneses in the next few weeks ;) . Plus I've really got the hang of the Big Brother challenge in case I want to do it again. I'm tempted to play again with a house full of Daisys.

Week Seven – The Final Challenge

TODAY is the day, everyone! Today will decide who goes home with one hundred thousand simoleons! They don’t know yet, but they’ve been training for this challenge the whole time they’ve been in the Big Brother house. But before we watch Simon and Koala compete, it’s time for us to check on the other contestants. Let’s do that now, shall we?

DAISY has earned some Athletic points from working out on the beach. No one’s sure if it’s to deal with her anger issues, or to catch the eye of cute locals at the gym.

Daisy’s not full of surprises, but TOMMY and ALEXA sure are! Believe it or not, shortly after eviction they hooked up via Story Progression. It looks like Tommy overcame his social issues after all!

JACOB is taking advantage of the city’s beaches to cure his Hydrophobia. He also used his newfound skills to finally gain employment, namely as a prep cook in the city.

LUCA has made it his mission to visit every nightclub in the city. When Koala gets out, he’s taking her out to his favourite place by the sea.

Finally, SUSAN spent her first free evening checking out new dishes at the bistro. She’s putting her loss being her and is eager to get back to her diner, perhaps with Jacob as her new apprentice.

And now we’re back to the household, where Koala and Simon are leaving the house for the first time in six weeks! The final challenge is eminent. What could it be?

Koala and Simon will be competing at the park. And the final challenge of Big Brother Los Aniegos is…

GNUBB!!

Yes, Gnubb! That game they’ve all been playing between challenges! From what I understand, the rules are simple. Each Sim takes turns to knock down as many of their opponent’s pegs as possible. If a throw misses the pegs that Sim’s turn ends and their opponent’s turn begins. Once all of an opponent’s pegs are down, a Sim may try to knock over the “king” in the middle (again, finishing their turn if they miss). The first to fell the king wins the game, and the first to win two games out of three wins the Big Brother challenge!

They flip a coin, and Simon gets to throw first. Koala does her best to intimidate him.

Perhaps it works, because Simon only manages to hit one of her pegs. Love Koala’s pose there – it’s like she’s asking if that’s the best he can do.

Koala’s turn knocks over two of his pegs, putting her in the lead.

Oh no! Simon throws wildly and misses the pegs completely! Here’s Koala’s chance to really steal this game!

Which she promptly does, first taking down all of Simon’s pegs (why am I thinking about Simon Pegg films all of a sudden)…

…And then the king, decisively winning the first round. Koala only needs one more win to take home the prize!

And now for round two! Simon wins the coin toss and Koala wins a fan. Well, at least I think the lady swimming in the water feature is a fan.

Wow Simon, that’s a very strong start! He knocks over three white pegs in one go. Could this move the game into his favour?

But Koala responds just as strongly, taking down three of his pegs in return.

Oh no, it wobbles but it doesn’t fall down! That’s another zero peg round for Simon. Will this give Koala a chance to take the lead?

Yes, yes it does! Will all the pegs down, all Koala needs to do to win the game is to knock down the king.

This is it, folks. The deciding moment. Will Koala take down the king and win the challenge, or will she miss and give Simon a chance for a spectacular turnaround? Koala wipes the sweat from her brow, bends her knees, throws as carefully as she can, aaaaand…

SHE HITS! Ladies and gentlemen, Koala Kim has WON Big Brother Los Aniegos! What are you gonna do with all that money, Koala?

Koala, thrilled and dazzled by her win, quickly comes to a conclusion: she’s going to split the cash prize between ALL of the contestants, with her and Luca’s portion going towards purchasing a home together. Aww!

Simon looks stunned and upset at his loss. Oh Simon, are you OK? Simon?

Simon, put down the wrench! Nobody needs to get hurt over this!

After a brief internal struggle, Simon remembers that bludgeoning is wrong, especially on national television. In fact, he no longer wants a life of evil at all! Instead, he’s going to take his prize money and use it to promote himself as a professional drummer. Now he can hit things for a living in a healthy and constructive way. Hooray!

And with that, we come to the end this season of Big Brother. I would like to thank the viewers and commentators on this thread for making the show so fun :D . I hope you all have a great week, and I'll see you some other time in Los Aniegos!
