Skyes Family Legacy
« on: January 03, 2017, 06:27:20 PM »
Hi Everyone  :)
I have started a Sims 3 legacy story. I have actually never gotten past when all the spares have to move out. I get quite attached to my simmies and don't like to give them to story progression lol

So I have thought of a way that could help with my letting go issue :p
Firstly I will be using the story progression mod from NRAS, so I can keep tabs on them.

I have given myself the following rules
Sons carry on the family name, therefor the legacy shall be passed from father to son
Spare sons are to move out as soon as the heir is chosen
Daughters are to remain in the legacy house until she finds a suitable spouse, or chooses to moves out with a spare son
The heir will be chosen when the youngest son comes of age (Young Adult)
Traits will be randomly rolled, I will pick their LTW that relates to their traits

Other notable points

I will be using nraas mods to achieve a household above eight sims.
I am also using nraas mods to allow for autonomous romance (because it's annoyly fun)
I am using the custom world – Evandales County Expanded.
It’s beautiful – I highly recommend it!

I have a ton of custom content 90% has been downloaded off The Sims Resource
Story-wise will depend on the Sims wishes, the only time where I will become a control freak is making sure the next generation is guaranteed.
I am playing on a normal lifespan.
I will be reducing the baby stage to two days and adding it to the toddler stage (I hate babies- they’re boring)

I have created a Wordpress site -> https://sims3skyeslegacy.wordpress.com/

That was a nice legacy.  ;)

I think seeing SP-generated sims and their descendants, instead of seeing premades and their descendants, can be good... a breath of fresh air.  ::)

I am looking forward to seeing what descendants SP makes from my spares :D
I have started to edit a few townies that have that clone face EA made.. just been clicking that 'random face' in CAS. I'm hoping it'll add some diversity in sims that later generations come in contact with.

I have also just added chapter five if anyone is interested :)
Pre-warning it's mostly about character building instead of progression lol
