Hi everybody! I'm happy to be part of this forum! I've been playing sims since sims 2 and been addicted ever since. My favorite things to do are building houses, gardening, fishing, explore tombs and make big families. I always play with freewill off to prevent my sims from doing stupid things and because for me playing is to control every thing they do. I don't like to just sit and watch them. It doesn't feel like I'm playing then. I love the Union Cove world! Happy simming :)

Well, hello there, fellow simizens ;)

My name is Ashley and I've lurked on this site for a good while--until now!

Hmm, what to say about me...my dream is to join the anthropology field as I think human origin and the cultural remains they leave behind are fascinating. I'm also very keen on details and observing the human psyche; Which got me thinking, the fact that I am practically in love with Sims is no surprise considering this information. Last July I adopted a black cat that I affectionately dubbed "Felix", which means "lucky". You see, no one wanted him ever since he was a wee little kitten because he was pitch black and all of his siblings were not. Not good when you're born in a superstitious town. A lovely woman fostered him his whole life (got him when he was 1 yr 3 mo). I actually had seen another black cat at Petsmart and had called in. That kitty had been adopted but the lady who broke the news was the one who fostered Felix. The rest is--as they say--history ;D

I wanted to edit all kinds of nifty things for my profile but unfortunately right now it only gives me the option to delete my account.

You'll come to find that I am a polite and kind person as long as you are to me, and if I can bring a smile to your face or even make your day slightly better, it brings me true happiness :)

P.S. My first post contained questions about Union Cove in case anyone knows those answers.
Off saving Zelda *again*

Hi, everyone!

My name is Teresa and I have been playing The Sims since TS1 came out. Got hooked on TS1 while I was pregnant with my one and only child (my son, Tristan) 12 years ago (has it really been that long? Wow!), then of course got hooked on TS2, which became my favorite for a long time. I really resisted TS3 at first, because I didn't realize you could play different families - I misunderstood the whole "control one family at a time" thing and thought I'd have to play just my one family until they died, before I could start another. It wasn't until my husband got TS3 and explained everything to me that I realized I could play more than one family, after all. Hurrah! I've been having a grand old time making many families and coming up with different challenges for myself (I'm currently working on the 15 children/30 grandchildren achievement, which really doesn't give me a tangible reward but it's fun nonetheless).

I found Carl's Sims 3 Guide sometime this past year and it has been such a huge help for me in my Sims 3 endeavors! I love all of the guides for different careers and lifetime wants, not to mention all of the expansion guides. Everything is so informative and detailed here, I love it. The forums have been a big help when I find myself wondering how to accomplish something or how something works, etc. This is such a terrific resource and I really appreciate all of the work everyone has put into the site!

This is much longer than I intended so I'll just cut it short now. Nice to meet you all!

Hello
I am Snuffles and I have a toy Polar Bear named Snuffles (not really why I decided to name myself Snuffles. It is just a random fact) and I have been playing Sims since... well since I can remember. My sister had the original Sims and I always made Sims wearing party hats (hehe). We got Sims 2 and were both in tears on Christmas day when we discovered that our ancient computer couldn't run it (surprise, surprise!). We got a new computer not long after that (wonder how that happened? Well, two crying children + £30 wasted on a game that couldn't be used = new computer!) and had the Sims 2 working (hurray!). It was just out-of-this-world. The graphics were amazing! The Sims were amazing! There was so much that you could do that could never be done before! And don't even mention alien abduction/alien impregnation!
And after several years of this fabulous game, rumours of another Sim game were spreading. "Surely there can not be a game better than the Sims 2!" I decided. I had every expansion, every stuff pack. How could it get better?

My Sims often received a complimentary computer and they could actually play 'The Sims 3'. This made me laugh a lot because I was controlling little people who were also controlling little people (who might have been controlling little people who might have been controlling more little people and so on...) But these little people on the computer screen on my computer screen were unlike the Sims in the Sims 2. They were roaming free! Free from the cages that the people of Sims 2 call home!

I decided I needed this new game. But disaster struck! Yet again my hopes of playing on a improved Sims game were thwarted by my computer! It couldn't run the game! Nooooo!
So I went for many terrible months without this wonderful new game. My friend had bought it straight away and never stopped boasting.

I needed to do something and do it quick (don't ask me why, I  just needed to do it fast!). It wasn't deliberate. It wasn't so I could get a new computer. But, one day, I was working on Microsoft Word and had written a 3-page long piece of homework to hand in the next day. I was then that my computer decided to crash and close all my programmes, without saving. I was so angry, furious and burning with rage that I picked up the nearest object, which happened to be a ruler, and started to whack the screen with all my strength. When I was finished, the centre of the screen had gone purple. Oops.

Things went downhill from there. The crack got worse and worse until it practically filled the screen and you could hardly see what you were doing. Then it got a virus. We managed to back everything up but the computer had had enough. We bought a new computer on the 31st March 2010 (yes, I even remember the date!) and bought the Sims 3 two days later.
I've bought every expansion pack for the Sims 3 (no stuffs), Barnacle Bay and a few things from the online store. I've also started a few challenges (mostly this year) and have done one or two multiple generational games (one that lasted for about 5 gens and everyone from 2nd generation onwards had Blair Wainwright's tilted eyes LOL)

That is basically my Sim life for you. Very exciting, wasn't it?

Hi!  Yes, my real name is Tin  ;D
I`m not from the USA, but I think I know English quite well. I am 15 year old guy from Croatia (Europe) , but I have been playing The Sims since TS Vacation came out :D And have been playing it since.
I love animals, swimming and The Sims of course! I am interested in history and archaeology and in foreign languages too, and would like to travel in the future.
I am still getting familiar with this forum because it`s different than other forums I have been to.
I have a dog. I also had a parrot, turtles, cat, etc. and that is why I hate that I can`t play TS3 Pets because of my graphic card. Also, I am terribly afraid of bugs (all types  ;D ) Strange for a guy, huh?
I have all The Sims expansions, The Sims 2 stuffs and expansions, and few The Sims 3 expansion packs. Hope we will get along and that through this forum I will learn more about American "gaming" culture. So, hi!  :D

Hi, my name's Skyla or Sky. I'm a psychology student at university and I work part time at a game store, which brings me to my love of games. I got The Sims 3 a few weeks ago and I'm now addicted! Me and my flatmate can't get enough of it, and we can't wait for seasons!

Welcome Snuffles, Tin and Skyla! :) I want to study psychology at university as well. I think there's a few members who do it too, and some others my age who want to. It's a popular subject. ;) Hope you guys enjoy your time here!

Hi Snuffles, Tin and Skyla!
I'm think I'm one of those people Fez mentioned who wants to study psychology, but only if I get good enough grades. Otherwise I love languages and writing so journalism seems to be an obvious choice. Not to mention the fact that my mum would prefer me to work in journalism.
Anyway, welcome! :)
