Hello all!

I've been reading the legacy and dynasty stories here for a few days and thought I ought to introduce myself!

My name is Elisabeth and I live in London with my husband and three black cats.

I've been off work sick with fibromyalgia and a few other bits for three years and The Sims has been one of my main hobbies.

I'm very excited to be joining such a friendly and supportive group of people.

Very fondly,

Elisabeth

Welcome, Elisabeth! You're going to enjoy it here very much! I know someone with fibromyalgia, and it's been tough on her. I hope you can overcome those issues and be well!  :)

Ok, I guess I better introduce myself.
I'm Nicole. (I think you can guess that from the name). I've been reading the forums, especially the Immortal Dynasty stories for about a month. I decided to join once I got my shiny new laptop, and could download Union Cove (which is so amazing!!) Anyway, I've attempted a few Immortal Dynasties in various towns, and learned a lot from them and from the guide and forums. I'm Australian, in my early thirties. No pets, so I live out that fantasy through the sims. Anywho, hi! *waves*

Sorry this is overdue.  I just now found this thread.  I'm the Grim Reaper *plays dramatic music*  fear me.

OK so not funny.  ::)

I'm a female in my late 20's and I've been playing The Sims games since the original The Sims way back when, when it was only on PC with I think Bob and Betty Newbie.  I also had Living Large, Hot Date, Unleashed, and Vacation and I think that's it.  Living Large was my favorite back in the day.

I moved up a little, moving onto The Sims Bustin Out for PS2 and I tried The Sims 2 for PS2 but it didn't really work out for me.  I tried The Sims 2 for PC and it kept making my computer crash.  ???

I currently have The Sims 3: Pets for PS3.  I actually have the limited edition but my PS3 isn't hooked up to the internet so I can't dowload the special pets.  I'm fine with that since the game was only $50 instead of $60.  I'm really enjoying this game and I know from now on all my Sims games will be console since it's so much easier to play than PC.

I googled to find this forum and checked it out and it seems like a really nice place to be.  I mainly joined to find out how you can be friends with the grim reaper in the sims 3 pets (for PS3), because I want him as a housemate to control him.  I love creating goth sims and goth mansions (to the best of my ability).  I also try to create vampire sims as best as I can since they don't make nightlife for console yet.  I guess there really isn't much of a difference between vampire sims (with no fangs) and goth sims on the console.   ;D

Anyway, so far I've been sticking to the console part of the forum for The Sims 3 since that's what I own.  I feel like I'd be out of my league if I stepped anywhere else because I don't own the games past the sims 3 pets.

I'm looking forward to meeting people here and discussing The Sims.   8)

Welcome to the forum, Grim Reaper!  I'm glad you decided to emerge from the console board long enough to introduce yourself to us, and I hope you'll find more reasons to visit the non-console areas of the forum.

Welcome to the forum Grimm.

Glad you decided to come above ground to hang with the PC crew. We love to talk about Sims so you're definitely in the right place. Even if you don't have the PC versions it's still cool to check out what's going on. Just the screenshot threads alone are enough to make even the grimmest Grim chuckle.

Hope to see you around.  :D

Welcome Koga. Glad you to introduce yourself. I stumbled across this forum the same way you did and I never looked back.

There's a thread that is sharing Sims 3 usernames. Feel free to take a peak and add yours.

Hello everyone,

I'm Lightheart, and discovered this great forum this week after a long layoff from actively participating in the Sims Community. In the year 2000, the Sims 1 took hold of all my free time, and then the Sims 2 completely took me over! Since then I've retired and devoted practically all my time to the delightful simulated worlds. Unfortunately, the Sims 3 has proved a bit much for my equipment.

Some time ago, what should have been a simple update to the Sims 3 totally wiped out my games on the Mac, and reinstalling never quite worked. So I gave up.

Luckily, I had also installed the base game and WA on my old PC. It's running just fine, but the old system is limiting me to a very trim set-up. Now I'm having a great time getting back in touch with those pixelated personages.

Your big challenges are out of my system's reach, but they inspire me to set up my own scaled-down scenarios, and are putting me back on track.

I do have one question. How do I set up my profile? The only option I'm given is "Do you want to delete this account? Yes or No." There are no other menu options anywhere on the screen. ?

Welcome to the forum, Lightheart!

To set up your profile, you need to make at least 5 posts. (which, ironically, you did by asking the question  :P)

I have been away from this topic for way to long. I've read back a bit and there are to many names to put all in one post, so I guess, welcome to the forum everyone!

Hello!

My name is Orawnge, and I've been playing since Sims 1 (had every expansion :D)... I gave up on Sims 2 after Seasons or FreeTime (whichever came 2nd) because it strained my old computer, but I'm back in full force with the Sims 3 (just missing two stuff packs)

I've been using Carl's site for a while to gather various "lesser-known" pieces of information, and occasionally reading the forum... but I feel like Supernatural added so much content that I want to rejoin the Sims community.

So... yeah!
i just wanna be something more than the mud in your eyes; i want to be the clay in your hands.
