What a grand challenge!

YA Out 1
YA In 4
Teen 0
Child 2
Toddler 0

My score is:

1x YA Out = 5 pts
4x YAs In x 4 pts = 16 pts
2x Children x 2 pts = 4 pts
5 + 16 + 4 = 25 pts

Total 25 points

I've decided that I'm just crazy enough to try the Baby Boomer Challenge on the short lifespan.

One question about adoptions:

The rules state that we're allowed two adoptions per week.
When exactly do Weeks 2 and 3 begin? At 00:00 Sunday (end of Saturday night) or at 08:00 Sunday (a week after we start the challenge)?

I'm trying to remember how the Sims 3 clock did it - it has a week marker too. I want to say it changed at midnight, so let's go with that.

Hi Metro. I asked this question in PM's and you gave me a different answer that it was 8AM Sunday? Just bringing it up in case you did this with others as well who have already started their challenge files.

Okay, thank you for clarifying that, cyclonenic. If that's the case, then everyone please go with weeks starting at 8 am on Sundays. I'll add a line in the rules too.

Are we allowed to pick the aspirations for our starting couple?

Thanks in advance :)

YA In 6

My score is:

6 YAs In X 4 pts = 24 pts

May I request clarification about the selection of traits and aspirations?
Is the following correct?

Must be randomized: Child trait and aspiration, Teen aspiration
Can be freely selected: Toddler trait, Teen and Young Adult traits

No. All children's traits must be randomized -- that means all offspring of your parents. Every stage. I'm 52 now, but I am still my mom's child. ;) Does that make sense?

@Metropolis Man

Thank you for the clarification.  After my Masterpiece Bingo fiasco (*coughs), I want to be sure I understand all the rules clearly.

And I loved your example! In my adult years, I used to love visiting my mother who fussed over me, cooked my favorite foods, and what not!

I love this challenge! Got amazing Sims on my Sims 3 days!

This is a question/doubt/fishing for ideas kind of post:

Wow, that was unbelievably intense but super fun!
I'm such a fan of the short lifespan (and double speed)!

10 YAs moved out = 50 (10 x 5)
02 YAs at home    =   8 (2 x 4)
01 Child at home  =   2 (1 x 2)
Total score = 60

Thank you to the Challenges Team for another great challenge!
