Sims 2 Restoring a Town

Hi, my brother deleted Strangetown and now he says it will not appear. How does he get it back? For some reason, my Sims 2 game will not load so I can't help him.

You might try a factory reset for Sims 2?

Back up the Sims 2 folder to the desktop or a backup drive.
Documents\EA Games\The Sims 2

Launch game and then exit the game. This will create a new Sims 2 folder. Copy over all files and let overwrite the factory files. Strangetown should be restored. Other game files like game saves should be okay to play.
