So proud of that title.  You are so clever!  Hammy was quite a delightful little narrator.
The kids being pitted against each other in a race to stay relevant was gloriously devious!  It gets the Ozbeth seal of approval  ;=)

Lol, Hammy is a great narrator. Congrats to Cuatro for his negative traits and good luck to Fugu, here's hoping she can make it. Can't wait to see the newest babies. You're doing great and I enjoy reading this every day.
@dontmindme
Thanks so much! Household activities quickly become overly repetitive during the 10-children-in-one-gen shtick. I hope Fugu's fate doesn't disappoint you.
Hamsta created a calendrical explanation just for you! (You'll know what I mean when you see it, hehe.)
Looking forward to seeing how your Avengers are doing, hehe.  ;D

Love Hammy! hehehe, also I really love the Criminal career's outfits at least the higher level stuff. Look at all the red for Cuatro!  I've only managed to get Good Manners and Responsible too XD
@Shewolf13
Cuatro has been such a blast to play. I've started worrying whether I have some unresolved authority issues, hahaha.
I mean, I've tried to have my sims push their character values into the red, but no sim has ever been as successful as Cuatro.
Poor kid, though. He's gonna be such a jerk when he's older, lol.

Hammy is a great narrator.  Love the title, too.
With the new adoption and a baby on the way, that means you are at...*counts on fingers*...seven?  Is that right?
And I still love Eda and Jax.  It's convenient when you can have a couple do The Oracle and The Boss together.  It reminds me of Pippin's Blur and Ericka.
@BallerinaHippo
I'm glad Hamstarino and his catchy chapter title were able to distract you from the monotony of all the nooboos, toddlers, and children in the background. :D
And, yes, you are absolutely correct! Six kids with one on the way (which is now seven kids with perhaps two on the way). We see the light at the end of the tunnel!!!
Due to Jaxton's Public Enemy aspiration, he's only been able to buy the Entrepreneurial reward so far, so he started the Criminal career three levels behind Edamame.
Their work schedules have not matched at all, sadly, though Jax has caught up thanks to working twice as many days per week as Edamame.
Haha, Edamame and Jax are the queen and king of lousy traits, but I love them!

Growing up so fast.
I love that they are battling about staying in the house. Cant wait to see a new nooboo, will we soon see a comming heir.

@LenaLJ
Pinstar's two Parenthood points have been great incentive for me to figure out how to earn the positive and negative character value traits.
As you know very well, household space is a precious commodity during the 10-children generation. It's like The Survivor or something, hahaha.
And yes, the last three children (8, 9, and 10) will all be heir candidates, I hope. My next update will begin with the birth of Child 8 and (I hope) Child 9.
I feel like this generation doesn't really get started until the heir candidates are born...

So proud of that title.  You are so clever!  Hammy was quite a delightful little narrator.
The kids being pitted against each other in a race to stay relevant was gloriously devious!  It gets the Ozbeth seal of approval  ;=)
@PeregrineTook
I'm glad that corny title tickled your fancy because guess what? There's one more. (This is the last one of its kind, I promise!!!)
Making sure there's enough room in the house for more kids is a real headache, especially for an idiot watcher like me who decided to raise a cadet child this generation, lol.
Oh my, the Ozbeth seal of approval? Hamstarino is absolutely thrilled and deeply honored!

3.23: CSI My Hammy

Week 9/Monday

ZzzzzZZZzzzzz….huh?
Wut? Didn't anybody ever teach you to knock first?
Huh? You want me to host this episode, too? Well, if you insist. *sighs
By the way, observant readers might have realized that I've also inspired more recent crime dramas, too.
That Horatio Crane totally stole his trademark sunglasses from me!

Hamsta: *checks script to refresh memory
Oh yeah…just minutes ago, Uma and Twain move out, forcing Jax to leave work early.
Daikon and Fugu leave for school, intent on bringing home an A grade.
Today's the first day of grade school for Trei. He's hoping to earn a B.

Meanwhile, Cuatro is a Rambunctious Scamp playing hooky from his first day of school.
Well, that's not ALL he's doing.
He's sharing valuable secret intel with me about what the household's been up to.
I only seem like an omniscient narrator!

Now that Edamame's eating for two, she'd rather eat fruit and listen to music.
So Jax goes to the adoption agency instead and brings home a little girl, Cinca.

Hey, thanks for refilling my feed box, kiddo! I was starting to feel a bit peckish.
How was school today, Trei? Did you earn that B?
Trei: Yep!
Hamsta: So, what's your story, Trei?

Trei: I don't have one, Hamsta. I'm gonna max two aspirations then move out, that's all.

Hamsta: That's not true. You play a very important role in this legacy, Trei!
First, you maxed this legacy's 144th skill.
Second, your moving out on Thursday makes room for the 10th kid.
I'd say your role is pretty significant, kiddo.

Tuesday

Cinca ages up to a toddler this morning and gets a makeover when the kids return from school.
When Edamame and Cinca emerge from CAS, they find a fire blazing in the Great Room.
Jax runs to help but he and Edamame can't see any fire to extinguish. Odd!
And this is the second time this has happened!

Edamame takes the time to read to Cuatro and Cinca.
Cuatro never had an adult read to him because he's been so hard at "work"!
Cinca is an adorable little doll!

Every time a sim moves out of the legacy house, we lose parts of our collections.
That's why Edamame decides to retrieve all our collectibles from our Simsonian Museum.

It breaks her heart to bulldoze the museum and sell the lot.
Now the collectibles are all thrown into a single basement room. Pray they don't cause more lag!

Unlike we mini-pets, sims can't take permanent anti-ageing treats.
But Jax gets his birthday notice today and drinks a Potion of Youth in the evening.

Benicio will be an elder come Thursday, can you believe that?
He and his son-in-law both agree that it's high time for Jax to master Logic.
Oh and Jax earned his Level 7 promotion this morning and caught up with Edamame.

Cuatro's almost within range to earn the Irresponsible trait as a young adult.
Not so surprising, really. He's been skipping school and making messes like a boss.
Amazingly, he has time to finish two aspirations as well.

The dear boy is constantly worried that everyone will hate him. He's just helping out, after all.
Our watcher's pleased as punch that he might knock out three negative traits.
If he does, he'll no doubt move out to some beachfront property, courtesy of our watcher.

Wednesday

Edamame gives birth to a second daughter and seventh child, named Gari.
Sushi lovers know that gari (young ginger pickled in sugar and vinegar) is a palate-cleanser.

Cinca is an independent toddler.
No need to fuss over her unless she specifically asks.

Daikon's thrilled to be moving out today to live with his parents and sister in the Faust home.
Poor Fugu! She'd worked so hard on her character values only to learn she's moving today, too.
Earning all 5 positive character value traits isn't as hard as learning 3 negative traits.
That's why Cuatro is worth his weight in gold (whereas Fugu is replaceable).

I know you're disappointed, Fugu, but check out this calendar.
If you move out today, the 10th son can be born two days after the 8th and 9th sons.

But what if you wait until your young adult birthday next Wednesday to move out?
In that case, the 10th son will be born one whole week after his brothers.
That age gap is just too wide, Fugu! Capisci?

In no time at all, we receive Daikon's birthday notice.
He is a striking young lad with his dark hair and green eyes.

Then, before Fugu can blow out her birthday candles, yet another fire breaks out.
This is starting to get old!
At least, I'm able to locate the source of this third fire in the exact same location.
It's above the first-floor ceiling beneath the roof. No wonder it's impossible to see!

Happy birthday, Fugu!
Thanks for trying so hard and sorry there isn't room for you to stay.

Daikon and Fugu age up into the most beautiful teenagers!
You'd think they were siblings rather than cousins, right?

Daikon moves into the new Faust residence on the former Hecking lot.
Fugu moves into the former Delgato residence where Grandpa Benicio and Alejandro live.

The instant they're out of the house, Edamame and Jax leap into action.
But then our precious butler Tetsu suddenly ups and leaves us.
Distraught, Eda and Jaxton's first two "tries" prove fruitless.

Jax: No use fretting, darling. I'm going to phone in for a new butler.
Edamame: *sniffle, sniffle

Meanwhile, my trusty informant Cuatro has caught the school principal's attention.
Cuatro: Gimme a break! I've only skipped three days of school so far!
I'm, uh, being home-schooled…

With renewed focus, Eda and Jax hop to it again.
She is now eating for two, at last.
Well, hopefully, she is now eating for three. Cross your fingers for twins!!!

Well, well. Look who the Windenburg Butler Academy sends us!
What a tremendous relief!!!!
I know you both work tonight, Eda and Jax, but maybe throw a party for Tetsu tomorrow?

Whoopee-do, the life of Hamstarino is a thrill a minute.
Actually, I'm a little miffed to receive Bubalus's postcard from Whiskerman's Wharf.
I'm stuck here narrating while the Blub travels the world?

Anyway, the power couple are closing in on their 10 children.
Trei ages up to a teen and moves out tomorrow.
So Eda and Jax only need to have the last three children; they'll all be heir candidates.

Farewell from Hamstarino

Hosting two updates about children who aren't the heir candidates has been a tough gig!
Well, except for Cuatro, who's totally my protégé.
Thankfully, I can wipe my paws of this whole narration business as of this minute.
And yes, that also means the end to the corny My Hammy titles.

But I'd like to leave all you wonderful readers with a final request.
Please participate in the heir votes of our fellow Sharebears!

I am sad to see Fugu go, but I totally understand the need for space.
Both Daikon and Fugu are really pretty, but look so much alike, but again what would you think when their parents where both twins hahaha.
Thanks for the updates Hammy, now go have a nice time doing normal hamster stuff.

And thanks for mentioning the voting. Really nice of you.

Awww, look at Hammy plugging the other legacy heir votes!
A lovely update.  Cinca is so absolutely a doll!!  Oh good heavens!  She's just precious!
You're really nailing this 10 kids generation!  I'm...probably not doing mine this time if the voting stays the same, but I'm totally going to copy your strategy whenever I get to that point  ;=)
Hope that Perry and Chacha are also doing well...and speaking to each other...

@Shewolf13
I loved little Hamstarino! Cuatro is amazing and Fugu would have earned all five traits if she'd stayed in the house as a young adult.
As soon as I decided she'd be leaving early, though, I let her just fish instead. I've enjoyed learning how to earn all the traits.
And, yeah, I'm not sure why he would "go home" like that. I think the family isn't supposed to socialize with the help?

I am sad to see Fugu go, but I totally understand the need for space.

@LenaLJ
When I wrote all the dates out, keeping Fugu an extra week didn't make good sense.
And you're completely right about why Daikon and Fugu look alike, lol. I'm so eager to see the children of all three sisters!!!
You are most welcome!

Go Hammy, Go Hammy. Get your rest on, little fella. I'm loving the pet updates.
@sdhoey
I'm glad you enjoyed it! I was getting bored only writing about the kids skilling and having birthdays.

Haha, yeah, Hamsta is a team player all the way!  ;)
Please don't get too attached to Cinca. She'll only be in the house for another week.
As for the 10 kids, this is exactly how I did it in my Mori Legacy, except on Normal lifespan. It's a little grind-y but very doable.
Hehe, as you will discover in the upcoming chapter, Perry and Chacha might be doing a little more than talking... *coughs

Sharebears 3.24: Peaches, Fish Eggs, and Potatoes
« Reply #188 on: May 14, 2018, 01:54:56 AM »

Cuatro at his best

3.24: Peaches, Fish Eggs, and Potatoes

Week 9/Wednesday

Edamame: Things have been going well so far, don't you think?
Jaxton: I agree, even considering all the mayhem of raising so many kids!
Edamame: You've achieved so much without finishing your first aspiration!
Jaxton: I started my career the very bottom, but I'm close to finishing Public Enemy now.

Edamame: Here's a quick recap of where we are now, dear readers,
We've adopted five children: Uma, Twain, Trei, Cuatro, and Cinca.
We've also had two girls: Fugu and Gari.

Uma and Twain moved out two days ago on Monday.
Daikon (Dango's son) and Fugu moved out this morning.

Gari, our naturally-born daughter, becomes a toddler this morning.
We now have two children and two toddlers at home.

Cuatro is within range of earning three negative upbringing traits.
He's dedicated today to a fourth negative trait: Bad Manners.
He has so much focus and drive, that Cuatro!

In case you're wondering about Hamstarino, he's doing well.
He spends more time with the family since he's no longer busy narrating.
Hopefully, he'll start having many adventures soon!

Thursday

I earn a promotion to Level 8 Boss and complete Public Enemy early this morning.
And I have so many other reasons for feeling happy: Gari's birth, all the recent birthdays, my pregnancy, to name just a few.

Then Cinca tells me a joke while I'm watching the Kids Network.
I manage to calm down my Hysterical mood  just in time. Whew, that was close!
Edamame has 11 moodlets resulting in a Happy +16 mood. Extremely dangerous!

Cuatro: Mama, I'm within range to earn Bad Manners! What next?
Edamame: You've done amazing work, Cuatro!
If you want to earn our legacy a point, earn a 5th trait.
Cuatro: Consider it done, Mama!

Edamame (to Jax): Is Cuatro super gifted or are we great parents?
Jax: A combination of both, no doubt.

Good news! I invite Chacha and Dango over and my sisters are both expecting.
Now go home, you two, and let your husbands pamper you!

In the evening, Trei ages up to a teen.
He's a loner who loves the outdoors with the Mixologist aspiration.
He completed three childhood aspiration and maxed Violin.
Compared to Cuatro, Trei's lived a pretty relaxing life.
He now lives in Yuma Heights with Gregorio, Uma, and Twain.

I'd initially planned to have Gari earn the Bad Manners trait.
Now that Cuatro has that covered, I might move Gari out as a teen.
Or maybe I'll keep the last four children to catch up with careers!
Our legacy as a whole seems to be falling behind with careers.

Also, Gari has my green eyes. If she grows up well, I'm definitely keeping her.

Friday

Friday afternoon and I'm more than ready to give birth!

Dear Jaxton is panicking enough for the both of us.
Take a deep breath, sweetheart, because…

I've given birth to triplets!
For our three sons, we are back to alphabetical naming.

H is for Hakuto (white peach).
Hakuto is our eighth child and the first of three Gen4 heir candidates.
Hakuto also happens to be our watcher's all-time favorite fruit.

I is for Ikura (salmon roe).
Sushi aficionados have savored ikura, I'm sure.
And yes, we're naming our sons after the watcher's favorite foods.
Watcher's a sushi classicist: no blasphemous California roll for her!

J is for Jaga (short for potato).
Who does not love stewed or braised potatoes?

Edamame: And there you have it!
The last three of our ten children in one fell swoop!
Don't worry about memorizing their names!
I'll be color-coding their wardrobes to match their names for our sanity as well as yours!

Will triplets turn out to be a blessing or sheer chaos?
Only time will tell!

Several hours later, Cuatro ages up to a teenager.
My little Cuatro who's never been to school a day in his life!
He ages up a hotheaded cat lover with the Bodybuilder aspiration.

I feel so guilty about asking Cuatro to earn all the negative traits.
Look at what a handsome young man he's become!
If it weren't for my request, Cuatro would be the high school heartthrob!
Don't you worry, Cuatro! You won't regret helping the family out!
*starts combing the Gallery for Cuatro's future beach house

After ensuring that our nooboos are fed and changed, we head for the gym.
The least we can do for Cuatro is help with his aspiration, right?
I plan to mentor Cuatro, but a fitness trainer beats me to it.
Meanwhile, Papa mentors Jaxton.

We run into Chacha at the gym with Perry (who, for some reason, remains outside).
She has that lovely pregnancy glow.
But, girl, sportswear is not the best look for you right now.

We've also invited our daughter Fugu along to the gym.
Gari considers her older sis Fugu as her own personal caregiver.
Please reach Level 3 in all your toddler skills by tomorrow, Gari!

With everyone taken care of, I sneak off for some fishing.
I gave birth to triplets today. I deserve to relax a bit!
But, hmmmmm, the triplets will be bassinet burritos until tomorrow…

Instead of quietly fishing, I end up taking the fam all over our world so I can meet new sims.
The result? I complete the Friend of the World aspiration.
(I'd already maxed Charisma weeks ago.)

Papa and Uncle Alejandro also aged up to elders earlier today.
I should remove them from the club but I so love seeing them around!

Well, that's all for now, folks!
Come back next time to meet our triplets as toddlers!
You know they're going to be adorable as heck!

Legacy Score: +1
Family (+1): 10th point: Have/adopt 10 children in one gen
Athletic: (Completed Public Enemy, Friend of the World)

Congrats to Cuatro for earning all those negative traits!  That's an impressive amount of red.

And congrats to Jax and Edamame on having 10 kids.  Can't wait to see what the triplets look like.

Personally, I would keep Gari just for her eyes, but I'm a sucker for that kind of thing.  That picture of her sitting on the potty-- so cute!

@LenaLJ
Thank you! I'm not sure whether I'm productive or certain sims are better at completing certain tasks.
When I tried to earn Argumentative with Edamame, I gave up because it took so long. Cuatro is so quick!

Congrats to Cuatro for earning all those negative traits!  That's an impressive amount of red.

I'm so proud of Cuatro for having worked so quickly! Let's hope he can keep those character values in the red!
Fortunately, he never goes to school so I don't have to worry about undesirable chance cards, haha.
Gari is indeed very cute! Sadly, only one of the triplets has green eyes. It makes it so hard not to favor him, hehe.

The first time I ever even got close to triplets in my game, Liberty Lee had triplets with one of my IDC spares.
My first set of triplets in an active household was born to, guess who? Liberty Lee, the founder of my Townie Dynasty.

Since then, Benicio (Gen2) and Mariko gave birth to three girls, thanks to a combination of the On Ley Line lot trait, Fertile reward trait, Kids Network TV, and fertility massage.
Like Mariko, Jaxton also does not have the Fertile trait, but we did the same combination of mumbo-jumbo.
It's not guaranteed. I've done all of that in my Townie Dynasty the last two generations and only got single births. Weirdly random, right?
But this time, I REALLY wanted triplets, lol.

Holy crap, girl!  That's alot of babies!  I'm a little too scared of my Charlee Sharebear file right now for that very reason!

@simfulicious
It's not that bad yo! Just decide in advance which kids will be keepers and let the rest "free range."
You don't have to go crazy helping all 10 kids grow up into super sims, haha. Definitely goes faster on Short lifespan, though.  :P

Sharebears 3.25. Outdoor Antagonist

3.25: Outdoor Antagonist

Week 9/Friday

Edamame: We've been crazy busy lately!
Not long after I give birth to the triplets today, Cuatro ages up to a handsome teenager.

We decide to leave the triplets with the nanny and bring the family to Granite Falls.
It would be nice to complete Outdoor Enthusiast, don't you think?

We are renting Bear Cabin, a lovely rental created by LadyMartita.
Bears of every variety decorate this delightful abode!
That large brown bear and white cub are also décor. (How do they do that?)
At first, I thought we had uninvited visitors.

We know Cinca's birthday arrives this evening, but not exactly when.
The first thing I do is bake a birthday cake for her.
To keep the household from eating the cake, Jaxton makes spaghetti.

Bear Cabin has been modified to accommodate our household's needs.
Before we arrived, our watcher made sure to add some (not all) skilling equipment.

One of Bear Cabin's bedrooms has been made over for toddlers.
An additional slide and treehouse dollhouse also keep Gari entertained.

Our first daughter Fugu must be going through some weird phase.
She's been going around causing household members to drop their queues.
And why is she flirting with her brother Cuatro?

In our legacy, household members in important roles may drink a single Potion of Youth.
That is, sims in the roles of founder, heirs, primary spouses, and cadets.
When I see Papa reading to Gari, I'm glad we have this rule in place..

As another precaution to save the cake, I make Meatless Monte Cristo Sammies, too.

Just as I'm heading downstairs from the kitchen, we're notified about Cinca's birthday.
Of course, Fugu chooses that very moment to take a piece of the birthday cake.
It's as if she waited until I left the kitchen to pounce on the cake.
Not the spaghetti or the sandwiches…it has to be the birthday cake.  Arrrgggghhh!

Fine. I return to the kitchen and prepare another birthday cake for Cinca.
After she blows out her candles, I give her a makeover.
But I'm so exasperated with Fugu that I completely forget to take Cinca's photo.

As for Fugu, I send her home immediately.
I don't want to see her during the rest of our stay in Granite Falls.
Maybe she'll be removed from the legacy club, too.
All she brings to the table is her Violin skill, anyway.
Hah, you'd think Fugu was the one with the Insensitive trait, not me! *fumes

Four hours after I arrive in Granite Falls, I finally start on Outdoor Enthusiast.
By this time, I have of course forgotten to plant that Cereberry!

Saturday

After midnight, I move on alone to the National Park, leaving everyone behind at Bear Cabin.
And, yes, I'm doing exactly what it looks like I'm doing.
I'm a Kleptomaniac, remember?
Besides, our watcher is incompetent when it comes to collecting insects.

When it's daylight, I proceed to the Deep Woods with Jaxton and my boi Cuatro.
Then I remember that Jaxton is squeamish and can't fish.
Back you to go to Bear Cabin, dearest!

I'm doing everything I need to do to become an Outdoor Enthusiast.
Roasting beetles, eating plants, befriending the hermit, and so forth.
You're familiar with the drill, I'm sure.

I'm a little worried about collecting 15 insects, but wait!
Those bugs I swiped also count!
If you're a klepto with an insect-challenged watcher like me, you might give this a go.
Oh come on, I'm not completely lazy! I collected more bugs than I swiped!

As you can see from my Outdoor Enthusiast panel, I'm ready to go home!
Here's another shot of my protégé Cuatro.
We have to be careful so  he doesn't undo any of his negative upbringing traits.
No friendly introductions or cleaning messes!

By the way, why did I think completing Outdoor Enthusiast would be a good idea?
How will I sleep 5 nights in a tent when I work nights? Ugh, I'll give it a whirl.

Now that we're back home, here's a nice shot of Cinca!
She aged up with my Glutton trait and earned the Happy Toddler trait.
She's an aspiring Artistic Prodigy.

Thankfully, Gari ages up to a child tomorrow and will earn the Happy Toddler trait.
Because now we have three more toddlers!
As you can see, Hakuto's inquisitive, Ikura's a charmer, and Jaga's independent.

I'm willing to bet that all three will be as dashing as their father Jaxton.
It's hard to tell from these two shots, but only Jaga has inherited my green eyes.
We've already lost the red hair gene! I'd really like to keep the green eyes! (hint, hint)
