I agree with keeping track of Dianna Faust.

What an odd way to spend vacations. And there's not even one cute young adult for the girls to meet.... I like how the top left woman is looking still. I would find the twins a bit whinny, but I agree with them, it's not vacation if you work all the time. And it's great they do everything together and are so close.

So, change of heart for the next gen, but we may see triplets. No frustration to have to redo Comedian?
@Tynynounours
Yes, she is terribly cute with her green eyes and red hair, just like the founder.
I believe this is my sims first trip to Selvadorada since I installed Seasons. So many sims running around with the cloned face!
Haha, I decided that the twins would complain a lot about their skilling-centered lives because, if I lived like they do, I would complain, too.
Definitely three heir candidates in Gen8.

As for Comedian, it's a hard career on Short lifespan because the working days are rather few.
It looked as if Purin would need another 2 weeks to max Comedian. In two week, the incoming Gen8 nooboos would be teenagers.
In Gen7, I'll have 4 YAs starting careers. Hopefully, I won't notice the lag with Comedian if everyone starts their jobs around the same time.

It's too bad the girls didn't find any eligible young adults in Selvadorada, but it looks like they have more than enough men already.  More than they can move in, anyway.  Orfeu, Elvain, Ronan...by my math only 2 of those 3 can live in the legacy house with Omu, Rai, Shiso and triplets.   ;)

Congrats to Purin and Brandon!  What a relief that Brandon finally said yes.  I'm sure their kid(s) will be gorgeous.
@BallerinaHippo
The math related to household size drove me a little batty. Thank you for joining me in that calculation. ;D
With a vampire moving into the household, it's never too early to scout for spouse prospects for Gen8 and Gen9, hehe.
Mostly, though, I guess the boy-craziness is a means for the girls to act like teens. Free choice versus obligation....?

Purin and Brandon had full friendship & romance bars. That plus the right mood used to be enough for a successful proposal, but not lately.
I was so relieved that Brandon said yes so Purin wouldn't die of embarrassment or something.

Oh, thanks for reminding me about my face-related cc! I checked just now and I only have facial overlays that change skin tone (slightly) and decrease wrinkles.
They don't change the shape of the eyes or lips, so I think those sim clones might be my Sharebears' version of @BallerinaHippo 's sweater boys. Maybe?

Yeah, the household was drastically downsized.
My strategy of staggering the birth of a third child didn't work at all for Rai and Shiso's generation.
I'm also super excited to start the next generation. In fact, I'm so excited that I'm going to shut down the heir vote tomorrow morning...
No, one of the sisters isn't pregnant already. Why would you think that? *coughs

Also I thought maybe you might have had the more face presents not or something because that's got some right stuff in it! Weird

@Shewolf13
Sigh, the teens will have their short span of fun and then they'll grow up and work on "adult stuff."
Have you not been experiencing rejected proposals lately at all?
It seems like I hardly ever get a sim who successfully proposes on their first try...

Sharebears 7.71: Size Matters
« Reply #456 on: October 08, 2018, 10:48:10 PM »

Tetsu Ishikawa, celebrant par excellence

7.71: Size Matters

Week 21/Thursday

Shiso: I won! But you knew I would, right?
I hope you don't mind that I omit a screesnhot of the poll results. There's so much else to share!
You'll have to trust me when I say that I had 9 votes, while Rai had only 2.

Well, here I am with my mini-harem.
Papa painted my portrait yesterday and the other two were painted on Tuesday.
Mama painted the one of Orfeu, my primary spouse with 3 fabulously unique traits!
And Auntie Purin painted the one of Elvain, my secondary spouse because….traits.

Once they've joined the household, Papa offers to make Orfeu a drink out back.

Yes, you guessed correctly!
Papa mixes a vampire cure which Orfeu generously agrees to imbibe.
Why? Because Orfeu has the Mansion Baron aspiration and doesn't need to remain a vampire.
Besides, we'll be busy enough getting one vampire trained for now.
(I must confess that I miss Orfeu's pointy ears already…)

As for Elvain, I have convinced him to drink a re-traiting potion.
He is, as you would expect, reluctant to roll random traits.
But should he keep his Klepto trait, he won't be welcome back to this house once he moves out.
Elvain caves to that threat. He manages to keep Outgoing, adding Music Lover and Jealous.

Men are always insisting that "Size doesn't matter." I beg to disagree!
Look at the size of these hearts over my bed!
They are puny, pale, weak, pathetic.
A pregnancy test confirms my suspicion: I am not pregnant at first.

Behold these large, glowing, energetic and robust hearts during our second romp!
They inspire hope, do they not?
Heart size DOES matter. I rest my case!

A bout of nausea assaults me on my way to taking another pregnancy test.
Success!

Rai has joined the Astronaut Career to become a Space Ranger.
To fulfill her daily "Work out" task, she tries a Zero-G workout for the first time.
Sadly, her effort doesn't complete daily task, which merely shows as "Just started."
Off to a treadmill, girl!

My plan is to become an art critic, as you may remember.
For my daily task to "Watch TV for 4 hours," I enjoy the Cooking Channel with Orfeu.
And thanks to our On Ley Line lot trait, I'm feeling Very Energized!

Shiso: Elvain, would please help out with the narration?
It's hard to chat while I'm busy gorging on carrots.
Elvain: Sure thing. I mean, I'm the star of this rodeo anyway, right?
Shiso: *remains discreetly silent

Elvain: Grandma Kirsten comes over to help with my Vampire Family aspiration.
Everyone urges me to buy Connections asap so I can join a career.
I don't perform well under pressure but I agree to do my best.
Is that a bird in the sky? No, it's me, Elvain, tornado of vampiric activities!

Before I even have the chance to offer, Papa Omu asks me to turn him.
His request is reasonable--he'd otherwise become an adult in three days.
He next insists that, since he's turned me, I should also turn his wife Amanda.
Sheesh, these Sharebears are such a pushy family! But, okay.

In the evening, Shiso tells me to turn some outgoing knucklehead who works at Chez Llama.
Since we're both outgoing, we easily become friends and he agrees to be turned.
He's a bit too pretty for my tastes, but I can see the…huh?
This dude works as a Medical Specialist at Mustard Clinic, not at Chez Llama?

I choose the universally disliked nanny for my fourth victim, uh, I mean, offspring.
She consumes my essence and all that, so I figure she'll transform in 2 days like the others.
When I go to cast a hallucination on her later, I find a "Turn into vampire" option.
Ugh, that nanny was a total waste of time! Who knew? (Food source!)

Friday

A little past midnight, Papa Omu's shocked by a message about his Grandpa Jaga's fading connection.
We take out all the Sharebear gravestones in family inventory to strengthen their connections.
The first two generations' gravestones were destroyed when their watcher bulldozed their cemetery.
That was dumb!

Nobody wants to go out with me to look for new offspring, so I end up phoning the repairman.

Once it's daylight, the maid I hired last night shows up.
I'm so tired of cheering everyone else up, I tell you!
Papa Omu suggests that I turn his twin brother Negi instead.
Fine, treat me like the family puppet!

An excellent idea on his part, as it turns out!
I have Papa Omu, Mama Amanda, and Uncle Negi take turns mentoring me in violin.
By the time I've reached Violin 4, all three are good friends of mine! Great!

Since I was a kid, I've always wanted to be a hero.
That's why I volunteer to take over the Comedian career.
Once I can afford Connections, I start leveling my Comedy skill.
I know the watcher likes me and will protect me from hysteria.

Orfeu: If I may interrupt briefly for a household announcement, I'd like to share a report.
Today, Rai left for work almost 2 hours late due to lagging.
Therefore, I've taken it upon myself to research this legacy's logistical efficiency.
I sell off multiple stacks of 99+ items from both the storage chest and flower arrangment table.
And I strongly recommend every household member buy "Pro Slackere" as soon as possible.

Shiso: When I enter my third trimester, Orfeu finds me to feel the baby.
You know, for an evil sim, Orfeu sure is a sweetheart.
I'm a little concerned about him, though.
He's only lived with us for two days and he already seems rather unhappy.

Sister Rai is letting Elvain borrow one of her clubs, Guild of Gamers.
He's filled it with his five offspring plus his mentor, our Grandma Kirsten.
It's great that he's already good friends with all of his offspring.

Once he's trained three of them, they can all be cured.
I'm so scared one of them might perish from sunlight exposure!

The Talk Like a Pirate holiday begins just before I go into labor.
As I waddle toward the optimistically-placed three bassinets, I wonder.
Should I name the next generation after pirates or keep the Scottish names I've already chosen?
Hmmmmm….

Shiso: And then, while I'm in the throes of labor, Papa suddenly transforms!
Way to steal my thunder yo!
Omg, what an awful dark form, Papa!

Amanda: Uh, thanks for chopping my head out of the screenshot.
No problem, dear. Thanks for photobombing!

Shiso: I'm happy to report that all our hard work paid off!
Folks, meet Tegan, Travis, and Tarlock Sharebear, here to represent Generation 8!
(Yeah, there just wasn't enough time to research good pirate names...)

Legacy Score: +3 (93 points)
Family (1): Gen7 heir (Shiso) became young adult
Love (1): Shiso's primary spouse (Orfeu) brings 3 unique traits: Evil, Unflirty, Snob
Creative (1): Gen7 heir and primary spouse memorialized by portraits

Chapter Notes

Elvain's retraiting: You're probably wondering why we didn't try retraiting Elvain in hope of his qualifying as the primary spouse.
This legacy's in its seventh generation and the pool of available unique traits is not impossibly small but considerably smaller.
Choosing Orfeu as the primary spouse eliminates any risk.

Vampire teleporting: I made sure to reset all of Kirsten's vampire powers before she moved out.
Like I did for Takuya, I replace Travel in Bat Form/Teleport as Mist with Supernatural Speed.
Nevertheless, she continues to poof in and out everywhere.
Takuya only uses Supernatural Speed now, so I'm not sure why Kirsten continues to teleport.

Woo! Welcome to the triplets! I hereby dub them the T's! Hehehe. Also, no. I have not  dealt with any issues on the proposal front though haven't had a proposal yet, oddly enough. Have had harder time with getting newer couples to romamce, though.

I never knew that about the size of the hearts.  Thanks for pointing it out!  Have you noticed it with other locations besides the bed?  Like the closet or hot tub or a coffin, for example?

Shiso's two spouses seem to be working out nicely so far.  I love the shot of them all holding the T's.  (thanks for the nickname @Shewolf13 !)  I'm especially liking Elvain's outlandish style.  It suits him perfectly.

Yes, we've reached the letter T in the alphabet so that nickname is perfect!
No issues with post-Seasons proposals? Right, you installed it after your One to Rule Them All story and before your RKC proper.
Here's hoping your many future proposals go smoothly!

@BallerinaHippo
I'm embarrassed now for having misled you. I don't know if the heart size is a true indicator or not. I never really compared them before like this last time.
Except I did notice that the hearts stayed small and feeble the first time, and it's rare for a sim with the Fertile trait to fail to get pregnant.
The second time, the hearts were noticeably bigger as my screenshot showed. They were literally "pulsing with new life," lol.
One thing about On Ley Line, my recent Baby Boomer Challenge mother didn't get Very Energized even once from that lot trait but gave birth to twins every time.
I'd thought that lot trait guaranteed an On Ley Line moodlet every time, but I guess not?

I agree on more heart size research!

I had the energised moodlet with my ten gen, but they all kept having single birth. Also sometimes, the energized moodlet can be hidden by the others emotionnal moodlet.

Orfeu might have terrible traits, but he's pretty.

Welcome to the three T.

So, Shizo has husbands and nooboos, but what about his sister? We only have your word that Rai is in this rocket. Still, it's moving forward to more seriousness.

Yes, more research on heart size is necessary but it requires all of us to compare our data!!! ;D
That is odd about the On Ley Line trait result in single births in your 10-gen dynasty.  Did it work as intended for your recent Baby Boomer Challenge?
I really like Orfeu and his traits aren't the worst. His Evil trait makes him incompatible with Good sims but I prefer an Evil sim to a Mean sim.

Thank you very much for asking about Shiso's sister Rai. You will learn about her activities in this next chapter. I hope you approve!

Sharebears 7.72: Outgoing, Incoming
« Reply #463 on: October 13, 2018, 06:26:17 AM »

7.72: Outgoing, Incoming

Week 21/Saturday (Summer, Day 7)

Orfeu: I can't do this, Elvain! Look at me? I'm just your average sim now.
Elvain: I gotta agree, bro. I never expected you to agree to be defanged!
Orfeu: No fangs, no pointy ears, no more savoring blood!

Elvain: Eh, how do you think I feel?
I'm merely the secondary spouse, but I still had to drink a retraiting potion.
Orfeu: Yeah, that's too bad. And now you're jealous. That must be tough!
Elvain: Hah, well now I hardly have any reason to envy you. You've lost your edge!
Orfeu (gasps): That's a mean thing to say but I guess it's true.

Elvain: So, what are you gonna do about it, huh? You gonna let them push you around?
Orfeu: You're right! I need to take back my life! I don't have to put up with this!
Elvain: Oh, no! You wouldn't dream of moving out, would you?
Orfeu: That's exactly what I'm going to do! I'll show them I'm nobody's puppet!

Elvain: But where would you go, Orfeu?
Orfeu: That's easy. I'll just move back in with your brother, but I need a small favor first.
Elvain: Yes, of course, I'd be happy to turn you!
Orfeu: Thanks! And now, I'm going to slip away before Shiso spots me.
If I talk with her, I might lose the courage to walk out.
Elvain: You're a brave one, Orfeu! Now, quick, before anyone sees you!
(internally: Well, that was a piece of cake! Now Shiso is all miiiiine! Mwahahaha!)

Shiso: Uncle Negi, please move out of my way.
I've only 5 minutes before work but just noticed there's an opening in the household.
Hey, Ronan! How would you like to move in with me?

Elvain: Noooooooooo!

Rai: Not long after Shiso rushes off to work, Ronan transforms.
Don't tell my sister, but I think Ronan looks pretty hawty in his dark form!

Elvain (internally): I'll be curing all my offspring as soon as I've trained three of them.
Maybe even this evening before work!
Perish the thought that Pretty Boy would turn into some vampiric rival! *rolls eyes

Rai: To everyone's complete and utter surprise, our nanny transforms into a vampire!
That's freaky because Elvain turned her twice the other night.
And she STILL showed the option to be turned!
Do you remember? He finally gave up on her and turned a repairman instead.
Hmmmph! Maybe she'd like to play chess with me? Outdoors?

Rai: Papa's pleased to learn that Ronan has the Best-Selling Author aspiration.
Uncle Negi's offers immediately to mentor Ronan.

You know, Shiso and I definitely didn't dream about meeting Ronan at Chez Llama.
When Papa asks him to quit his medical career, what a shock!
We have no idea how he got promoted to a Level 8 Doctor in a few days.
The big question is: How long before Ronan can buy Connections?

Tetsu: Are you thinking what I'm thinking, Omu?
Omu: You mind-reader, you! Our worthless nanny is about to watch TV…again!
Tetsu: I swear you and I take care of the boys more often than she does!

Omu: After a few hours, Elvain's sixth and final offspring transforms.
Right on top of Tetsu repairing the stereo and our new nanny.
That's right, when our watcher reloaded us, that other nanny left.
At the same time, this new nanny walked in and introduced himself.

Shiso: At 5 pm, I come home with promotion and branch to Art Critic.
While I'm still standing in front of the house, Elvain leaves for his first day of work.
He needs to max Charisma asap so he can negotiate bonuses between workdays.

Omu: As you may have forgotten, I'm trying to complete Big Happy Family, Rai.
Rai: And..?
Omu: Well, I need a married child plus a fourth grandchild.
Rai: Oh, Papa, how you underestimate me! Wait until dark, please!

Rai: After night falls, I invite over my beloved Vincent Savalani.
You do remember Brandon's brother who I met at a gym in Oasis Springs, don't you?
Unlike the mean Brandon, Vincent is a dog lover, an art lover, a perfectionist!

And he's such a sweetheart! As soon as we're alone, he asks me to feel our baby!
He's quite handsome since I gave him a makeover, don't you agree?

Week 22/Sunday (Fall, Day 1)

Rai: I don't want to risk an embarrassing rejection, so we flirt and socialize for several hours.
Then, dear sweet Vincent accepts my first proposal! We elope soon after.
You're welcome, Papa!

Shiso: Out back, Elvain has trained his third offspring.
Meanwhile, Papa rounds up all of Elvain's offspring and mixes vampire cures.

Since the nanny takes her sweet time, I briefly consider throwing out her drink.
But I relent and she is the last of Elvain's six offspring to be cured, after Papa.

To complete his aspiration, Elvain only needs to achieve Grand Master rank.
He tries snacking on the now-cured nanny but it's not enough. Soooo close!
Grandma Kirsten promises repeatedly to come over but never shows up.
After several hours of that, Elvain phones Grandpa Takuya who comes right away to train him.
Done!

In the living area, the rest of us are waiting around for the boys' birthday notices.
It won't be long now!

And thar they blow!
Tarlock, Teagan, and Tristan (in that order) waddle their way to ask for potty help.
I have a sinking feeling that we are looking at three future Happy Toddlers…

Elvain takes this moment to become hysterical. Go calm yourself down!
And, anyway, he needs to work on his Comedy and Charisma skills. No putty duty for him!

Ronan is similarly exempt from toddler training.
He's temporarily become a Writer to speed up novel production.
Get cracking on those novels, dear! He still needs so many satisfaction points!

Shiso: I'm leaving for work soon, so Rai steps in to read to the boys.
Should I work from home today?
Nah, I'll only be gone for 5 hours and I'm off tomorrow!

Returning from work, I read to the boys as well.
They're cultivating imagination very quickly, so who knows?
We may get all three to Top-Notch after all. Maybe.

Oh, I've forgotten to introduce them to you!
This is our firstborn son, Tristan.
I'm not sure what happened during his potty training with Rai.
But I caught Tristan gloating over getting his own way.

Tarlock was born second.
As a silly toddler, he spends a lot of time feeling playful.
Perhaps that's how he managed to max Imagination before the other boys.

Tristan wears black to match his classically tragic name
Tarlock wears orange to match his hair.

And here's our last son, Teagan in blue.
He is the only one who inherited my grey eyes, the Jensen eyes!

Don't tell the boys, but I made major mistakes with their names!
I wanted Scottish names that start with the letter T.
When I didn't find names I liked, I changed my search term to "Celtic."
But guess what?
I learned today that Tristan is of Welsh origin while Tarlock and Teagan are Irish names.
Sighs….oh well, as long as all three cultures traditionally wear kilts!

Awww, those boys are so cute!  Hehehe, Celtic includes Ireland, Scotland, Wales, and the surrounding areas.  I believe each has slightly different variations on names ^^  Awww, loving Rai and Vincent ^^
