Species: Tolerant — The species of the child has no impact on their eligibility for heir status.

(Wordpress)
Meet the soon-to-be-founder of the Golden Legacy, Jin Ying Xiong.

Ying Xiong – Ying, for short – grew up with close to nothing as an orphan in Shang Simla, spent every waking hour working every imaginable part time job that would hire her to save up as much as she could. And when she turned 18, she packed up and bought her plane ticket to Brindleton Bay as well as a nice big empty plot of land.

Having never had a family, Ying longed to establish one of her own. She wanted to live the Sim Dream, and she was going to make it happen.

Ying, having lived a harsh life, is a CREATIVE and resourceful indivdual. She is also AMBITIOUS and a PERFECTIONIST, wanting nothing less than to succeed in a life she started off with the wrong foot.

Her starting aspiration is SERIAL ROMANTIC, and although it might seem like an unchracteristic aspiration for such an goal driven woman as Ying, it really isn’t.

Ying knows how tough life can be, and she doesn’t want her future offspring to have to suffer any hardships like she did. She refuses to settle for anything less than perfect, and that includes her future spouse. It is her plan to filter through potential spouses till she finds the perfect one that will benefit her future generations the most. Her bloodline has to be pure and strong, for they are to grow into a lasting, prosperous legacy. The Golden Legacy.

And she will do whatever it takes to ensure it, even if it means sacrificing her own happiness.

ABOUT THE NAME

Ying’s full name is Jin Ying Xiong; Written 金英雄 (Jīn Yīng Xióng) in chinese. Jin is the family name / her surname, while Ying Xiong is her first name.

Fun fact! 金(Jīn) means Gold. Thus the ‘Golden Legacy’.

And to match the straight forwardness of her surname, Ying’s first name 英雄(Yīng Xióng) means: Heroine, Protagonist, Main Character.

I originally intended to name her 敏(Mǐn), meaning clever and smart (the shrewd kind), which I thought fit her pretty well. But then changed my mind at the last minute because naming the main character of the story literally was my idea of a super lame inside-ish joke haha ~

1.1 — New Beginnings
« Reply #5 on: April 23, 2018, 07:17:22 AM »
(You can read this post on Wordpress HERE)

1.1 — New Beginnings

So… today is Ying’s first day in Brindleton Bay. She’s looking a little serious in this shot.

Why don’t you at least give our readers a smile?
Ying: “You wouldn’t be smiling if you were $200 in debt now would you Watcher?”
Oh yeah. I almost forgot about that. But you wanted this no? You insisted on Brindleton Bay because Oasis Springs was too hot and Willow Creak was… “blegh” in your own words.
Ying: “Just because I wanted it doesn’t mean I’m immune to the occasional pangs of buyer’s regret! $200 is a lot of money when you have nothing okay!”

It wasn’t in the original plan to begin with an Extreme Start; It just sort of happened. I hadn’t gotten to play Brindleton Bay as of yet and I wanted to have a go at the town. Not to mention the lovely scenery! So bright and open and spacious! It’s not as dreary as Windenburg and the 64 × 64 lot is a bonus.

But that now means Ying is going to have to be really counting pennies as she tries to earn that $200 to buy the Knight of the Octagon Table while making end meets at the same time.

Ying: “It’s no biggie. I’m great at being stingy and living rough. Also have all the know-hows on making moolah! No worries Watcher.”
That’s very sweet of you Ying, to try and reassure me. I’m sure we’ll figure things out together!

We wanted to jump right into money making because Ying was really strapped for cash and the sooner we got her out of debt, the better. But there was the Welcome Wagon and we figured that it can’t hurt to spend some time to get to know the neighbours right?

The Delgato(s) came over for the Welcome Wagon, but only Supriya Delgato actually appeared although the notification text showed her hubby, Justin doing the greetings. Justin even appeared on Ying’s relationship tab despite her never interacting with him.

Ying: “Weird… I guess. We. Got acquainted through text messaging? Is that a thing in Sims? I didn’t know that. Also, if you think about it, isn’t that really creepy? How did Justin get my number? I just moved here!”
Is this you breaking the 4th wall? Are you breaking the 4th wall? You are aren’t you. Stop that. You’re going to ruin our reader’s immersion!
Ying: “I’ve been communicating with you since the beginning Watcher. I think the 4th wall has long been broken.”

No one else other than the Delgatos showed up. And the Welcome Wagon didn’t last very long before another notification pops up saying that they’ve got to go. So that’s that.

That just means it’s time for Ying to go make some money. Here she is taking a short jog to the beach just a stones throw away from the property. Isn’t the view gorgeous? Brindleton Bay is just so pretty scenery wise.

The neighbourhood is really pretty. There’s the beach that spans a fair distance, a small BBQ area ( FOOD! ) with benches and a public toilet and lots fishing areas. Perfect for the hobo life. And best of all, it doesn’t need to be loaded! It’s very convenient.

( I really miss the open world of TS3 ;; )

In any case, Ying throws out a line and starts fishing. And she actually catches Tuna for her first catch that goes for a tasty $88!

How did you do that?!
Ying: “有志者,事竟成。Heh, heh. When there’s a will, there’s a way. But anyways, that’s 44% of my $200 debt. I think I’ll be able to pay it off in no time!!”

Ying must be a really lucky sim. Or maybe she’s just really good at fishing, because she catches a mid-tier fish that sells for around $20, and then ANOTHER tuna. I don’t know how she does it.

But after that her catches are lacklustre in comparison and eventually she decides to try her luck treasure hunting instead since the fish are no longer biting.

A few rocks later, Ying manages to gather up a couple of fossils and common metals that she sells off to clear up her $200 debt entirely, with a decent amount of extra simoleons to spare.

Pressing debt dealt with, Ying spends some time socialising with some beach goers. One particular man catches her eye – Marcus Flex. And he certainly is flexing. He’s in the Partihaus and Powerhouse clubs, so that means two things. One, he’s cool. Two, he’s fit.

Ying: “He might make a good spouse, don’t you think Watcher?”
Well, you certainly do seem taken by him.
Ying: “Maybe. He’s certainly got anattractive physique. Nice and strong. I reckon he’d be able to produce healthy offspring. But that’s only if he’s not jacked up. Steorids can’t be good for the babies. I’ll need to get to know him better first…”
Aren’t you approaching this whole romance thing a little too… I don’t know? Objectively? Calculatingly? It’s okay to just like him you know? There’s no need to think too much about it. If you like him, then you like him.
Ying: “It always pays to be cautious. Also, of course I have to be objective! It’s my legacy at stake!”

Whatever Ying might say though, Marcus is certainly a charmer. Look at how charmed Ying is by Marcus’s suave flirting!

In any case, the day goes by rather quickly. But yay! The purchase of the Knight suit has been made and the challege can now start proper.

Ying: “I wish the statue came in red. Silver’s rather basic, don’t you think?”
Don’t be ridiculous. A red suit of armour would look weird.

With the day coming to an end, Ying headed off to the Brindleton Bay’s Gym / Spa ( I placed one of those Spa-Gyms that came with Spa Day in the world since Brindleton didn’t have a gym ) to deal with her hygiene. She spent a whole day fishing and digging around in the dirt and most certainly smells funky. But she was so tired she went straight to the couch to nap instead.

The shower can wait.

The next day, after she’s decently rested, she takes a nice long thoughtful shower to freshen up before proceeding to job hunting on her mobile. She settles for a job as a Palette Cleaner. The job itself isn’t amazing or anything, but painting is a skill that brings in a lot of dough even when freelanced. So why not kill two birds with one stone? Besides, Ying hopes to memorialise her primary spouse in the future with a painting.

Best wishes to you and your legacy founder!
Your founder Ying is gorgeous!
Great choice for the family name of your legacy, too. (The character 金 is also part of my family name, but that doesn't make me biased. Nope, not at all!)

Welcome to the forums, and I'm so glad that you decided to post your Legacy story.  I lurked for a while before getting up the courage to post, too.

Ying is off to a great start.  I like the choice of Serial Romantic for her first aspiration.  It sometimes gets a bad rap, but really, you can look at it as just dating-- which is a smart thing for a founder to do.

Ying is gorgeous!  Welcome to the forum ^^  Loving her start so far.  Yesss, go for Marcus!  I have a soft spot for him.  He makes some cute babies and in my ID attempt, he was great friends with the founder as well as helping take care of the kids.

@oshizu Thank you! Haha ~ I sort of loosely based Ying off my mother (don't tell her). Twas thinking, who would be a good founder for a lasting legacy? Then *snaps fingers* it hit. Someone like mum! Lol. Was wracking my brain trying to think up a nice surname for the legacy too, but I'm glad I came up with 金 in the end. It's just plesant aesthethically and to the ear. Also, 'Gold' just feels fitting for a legacy? Idk.

@BallerinaHippo Thanks. ^^ I've been lurking on-off the forum for years now without an account. The influx of Sharebear legacies spurred me on and I finally somehow got the guts to give it a go myself. Hopefully it all works out! Fingers crossed!

Totally agree about the Serial Romantic aspiration! Ying needs to get to know her potential spouses better before commiting to them. It's an entire legacy at state! Also, in my expirience, the romance aspirations are relatively easier to speed through/complete as compared to all the other aspirations so might as well grind those tasty satisfaction points ASAP eh?

@Shewolf13 I don't usually interact with OG townies much on the romance side cause my playthroughs usually have set couples/relationships already. But errr... heh heh. Considering your soft spot for Marcus, you might be a lil' disappointed by the next update. Not giving any spoilers! :-X So read on to find out more. ;)

@FrancescaFiori Thank you! Glad you liked the name. :)
And Ying is all about red. Once she gets a proper place to settle into, I'm gonna bet she's gonna fill it with mostly red furniture. More red = more prosperity.

1.2 — Hard Work & Heart Break
« Reply #11 on: April 24, 2018, 04:56:43 AM »
(You can read this post on Wordpress HERE)

1.2 — Hard Work & Heart Break

Picking off from where we left off, Ying got herself a job as a Palette Cleaner. There was still a day or so before work would start for her so she headed off to Casbah Gallery, San Myshuno to study up her new trade.

Ying: "Early bird gets the worm! Always best to be prepared!"

Ying can't afford an easel at the moment. She doesn't even have a bed and has been jumping between the Spa-Gym and Parks to get her fix of food, showers and sleep. So the easels in the gallery will have to do.

Not only does she get to fufil her daily task and level her painting skill, I'm pretty sure she levels it faster in the gallery if those sparkly, golden icons above her head are indicative of anything. Must be the décor. Or maybe it's a lot trait?

Ying: "Whatever it is, I'm overflowing with inspiration! Just wait and see! I'm gonna paint something awesome!"

Are those... humanoid cats?
Ying: "Yeah. Cute aren't they? On the way to the gallery I saw two meows getting it on. Must've stuck with me."

Ying's first portait sells for a miniscule profit of $6, but no matter. She paints for the rest of the day, leveling her skill. The profits she gets from her portaits also scale up with her skills. It's not much, but some cash is better than no cash. It's pretty much her routine for the next few days. Work. Skill. Sleep. Work some more.

All that hard work pays off and she gets promoted a couple of times! She's no longer a lowly Palette Cleaner, and is now a Hungry Artist. With all the money she's managed to save from her promotions and portrait sales, she finally has enough to afford a bed, an easel of her own, and basic hygiene facilities ( no sink though ).

Hungry Artist is a pretty apt description of Ying's situation. There's still no fridge, simply because Ying is stingy and insists that she can still live off the grill by the beach.

Ying: "A fridge is way too expensive at the moment. And totally not necessary."
You can afford it. Running to the grill everytime you need to eat is so inconvenient...
Ying: "Eh. I'd much rather spend my money on making more portraits to sell. Don't worry, I'll make enough to buy that fridge soon enough."

She's way too practical for her own good. Sometimes I wonder if she'll ever learn to enjoy herself.

But hey! Here's a cute shot of Ying sleeping in her new bed. No more benches and sofas!

This update would've been rather boring, since Ying was basically trying to grind her painting skill and power through her career. A tough childhood has left her pioritising money above almost everything else, and she can't bear to do anything other than work for more money while she's still so strapped financially. But everyone has their exceptions. And for Ying, her exception was Marcus Flex.

The Humor and Hijinks Festival rolled by, and Marcus asked Ying out on a date if she wanted to go with him, and she said yes in a heartbeat.

Awww, so you do like him.
Ying: "Of course I like him. He's a nice guy. A good friend."
You know what I mean ~
Ying: "I don't know what you're trying to insinutate but—"
Ying and Marcus sitting on a tree. K-i-s-s-i-n—
Ying: "OKAY. That is so childish! What are you? Five? I just thought it'd be nice to have a break from all that painting. And I also can't have my friendships detoriating because of my work."
If you say so.

Ying totally likes him. I mean, look at that hug!

Their little social gathering soon turns into an actual date and well, no one's complaining.

Marcus and Ying are pretty cute together. For one, Marcus plays along and responses really well to Ying. If she flirts, he doesn't just take it, he flirts back. And their back and forth is really cute to watch.

They flirt so naturally the 'date meter' easily hits gold range in no time. Ying is totally smitten, and it's not surprising. She's never dated or ever gotten involved in a romance before and here's Marcus. A man who plays off her so well and knows all the right words to say. Things were going so well, and surely the feelings were mutual. Right?

Ying thought so. The mood was right, so she gathered her wits and took a leap of faith and asked Marcus to be her boyfriend...

ONLY TO BE REJECTED. WHAT?!?

Marcus: "Erm, sorry. But no. Not ready for that sort of thing yet Ying."
Why!? He was totally into you like just moments ago!
Ying: *sniffs*

Turns out the jerk has noncommittal as a trait. Grrrrrr....

I can't believe he still has the nerve to look all smug and blasé about the whole affair.
Ying: "You said that we had something special! That no other girl has ever made you feel this way!"
Marcus: "Yea— Well, I mean. We do!
Ying: "Then why are you so against us becoming a couple? At least tell me why you rejected me!"
Marcus: "It's not like I don't like you or anything, but do we really need to put a label on... this?"
Ying: "This?"
Marcus: "Yeah. We have it good now right? Why change it?"
Ying: "Because it tells me you're serious about 'this'."
Marcus: "But I am serious."
Ying: "Urgh, nevermind."
Marcus: '"So, I think our date's coming to an end. But wanna do this again some other time? There's this bar in Windenburg that's—"
Ying: "Yeah. Whatever. I gotta go. Night."

Urgh. I oughta just. Just. JUST HAVE HIM PEE HIMSELF AND THEN DIE OF SHAME. If it weren't for the legacy testingcheats would've wrecked his sorry ass.
Ying: "There's no need to go so far... but thanks Watcher. It's nice to know you're looking out for me."

Ying: *Burp* "Am I doing it right?"

The rejection took a hit on Ying's mood so she went and had a go at the bubble blower to bring it up. It was her first time so it took a while for her to figure out how to use it properly. She felt a little better afterwards and decided to retire for the night. Starting tomorrow, Ying is probably going to throw herself into her work. At least work and money won't break her heart.

On the bright side of things, at least she got her first Gold Medal for the date despite things sort of going awry towards the end. One step closer to finishing up her aspiration.

Authur's Notes:
Well. That certain was a curveball. What am I gonna do now??? Lol ~
Sorry if my legacy seems sort of grindy. I'm not great at writing nor am I used to starting out with so little finacially on Sims so I'm just a little obsessed with the number on the left-bottom corner. Thank goodness it fits Ying's character.
With rules and legacy goals to fufil though, hopefully I'll branch out a little more so I can write something more entertaining. ><  I mean. Ying has to get like 8 boyfriends eventually and that ought to be exciting?

I love all the great facial expressions you're capturing in the screenshots!
Stupid Marcus! But you don't need to use a cheat for revenge. When you're wealthier, Ying, invite Marcus over for a dip in your 3x3 pool (with a fence, lol)... *coughs
Oh well, at least he was good for a first kiss! You didn't want that adult Marcus, anyway!

I know it's a different character, but Ying's name reminds me of that Tang-dynasty chuanqui, The Tale of Ying-Ying. I bet your gorgeous mother has read it. :D

P.S. The knight statue needs to go in household inventory so that it inflates Ying's bills without providing an environmental boost.  ;)

Bad Marcus, bad. Ying might've just dodged a bullet there, some of Marcus' kids (at least in my games) wind up with a weird lower lip, like the skin tone doesn't match the upper lip and it just makes the whole mouth look really off. Still I agree with Oshizu, he could be excellent death fodder for the pool and it would be nicely ironic given how beefy and in shape he is. Good luck to Ying in the future. There might be someone else in her future.

Woah, Marcus!  Even with the noncommittal trait, that was unexpected.  Ying can do better.  Onward and upward!

Oh Marcus... foolish Marcus. Yeah, noncommittal is a royal pain, but can be gotten around hehehehe. Poor Ying. --smacks my version of Marcus for good measure--
@Shewolf13 Haha ~ Noncommittal isn't that bad since if you butter them up enough they'll commit eventually. ;) The real pain of a trait when it comes to relationships tho has to be unflirty. Gah! Bad moodlets everywhere for that trait.

P.S. The knight statue needs to go in household inventory so that it inflates Ying's bills without providing an environmental boost.  ;)
@oshizu Heh heh, after my own heart I see. I did think of perhaps *ahem* eliminating him for the sake of the legacy. Cause, you know, different types of deaths and all. But that's too easy. Should milk him for all his worth first. 8)

Oooh ~ Yeah! My mum's quite the chinese literature + history buff. Pretty sure she has a hardcopy of the story somewhere in her study. I've only every read the english translated version, but my mum says that these kind of stories are best read in chinese because a lot of the nuance is lost in translation. I don't disagree with her, but reading chinese lit in chinese is a whole different beast from idk, chinese manhwa. And tbh, a lot of chinese lit stuff has pretty tragic or bittersweet endings and my soft heart cannot handle too much of that. XD

OMG thanks for the heads up! Gah! I must've missed that in the rules. >< I played ahead quite a bit before I saw your reply so the statue will probs show up in a few shots but I shoved it into the inventory when I renovated the lot.

@dontmindme I'm a sucker for first love stories so twas kinda hoping for it to work out. But looking back, I guess it works out for the better cause Ying ought to finish up her Serial aspiration first anyways. She'll find someone better with more kissable lips! Totally!

Woah, Marcus!  Even with the noncommittal trait, that was unexpected.  Ying can do better.  Onward and upward!
@BallerinaHippo Yeah. I probably should've tried stacking more moodlets before popping the question. Or maybe it was just really bad luck. I do wonder about the percentages for rejection when it comes to noncommittal sims. But it doesn't matter. Tis all done and dusted! Ying's gonna go on a blind dating spree to find 'the one'. Who needs a Marcus? Certainly not her!

1.3 — Most Eligible Bachelor(s)

Ying's been throwing herself into work as of late and grinding career progression and painting skill. She nabbed herself another promotion, and she's finally got enough to actually get a literal roof over her head. At last!

Here's the little shack we've built for her. I'm actually pretty bad at building so I'm pretty proud with how neat and cosy it turned out.

Here's a peek on the inside. Finally a fridge of her own! No more running to the public grill by the beach every time she wants to eat!

In other news, I've been starting to worry about how slow rolling things have been. It's my first time taking on the Legacy Challenge and actually committing to the rules. Not to mention, we had an extreme start and I'm not used to being so strapped for cash. So Ying and I sat down to have ponder where we would be taking this legacy. It's always nice to have a Watcher-Watched heart-to-heart every now and then.

So... what are we going to do now? You're making money. But you've been dumped—
Ying: "Rubbing it in, aren't you?"
You're going to be half-way through your young adult stage in a few days. And we haven't made much progress in terms of finding a suitable spouse.
Ying: "Yeah, but it's not like it's raining men. Also, I flirted with some people at work and yeash! Anyone who's available sucks. And anyone who doesn't suck isn't available."
About that. HOW is it possible that almost all the men you meet hate children?!?
Ying: "I don't know. You're the Watcher. You tell me."
What do we dooooooo! We can't have men who hate children produce the offspring for your legacy! That's just... not right!
Ying: "You know Watcher, the whole Marcus issue has got me thinking. Maybe we shouldn't care about who I romance. Instead of being selective, maybe I should just go for every male I come across. Eventually one will be a hit right?"
True... you need to complete your Serial Romantic aspiration too anyways. I almost forgot about it.
Ying: "Yup! Yup! We don't need to care about who I romance. Just who we choose to move in first as our primary spouse! The rest we can just move in afterwards to work for us or something.
Ooh! Ooh! Like a harem. But with men instead! We can even have them take care of the kiddos! Marcus would make a lovely eunuch. *cackles* A life of servitude seems like fitting revenge for a non-committal guy like him.
Ying: "Yeah. I'm just gonna seduce as many men as possible since I need to for my aspiration anyways. Eventually there must be one good guy we can take to be our primary spouse right?"
Right.
Ying: "Let's take our time."
Definitely. If you get too old you can just get you a Young Again potion. Speaking of which... looked who has walked in.

Marcus might've rejected her once. But he won't be rejecting her a second time. It's been decided that Marcus will enter the family later on as a servant of sorts. And since Ying plans on taking advantage of him to raise her legacy family, she might as well go all the way and use him to complete her aspiration too.

It's easy enough buttering him up. And they have an impromptu date that ends with him (naively) agreeing to be her boyfriend after he gets caught up in the moment.

Hohohohoho ~ can't wait to break it to him when the time comes.
Ying: "I can't wait till I find the one. Seduction is tiring work. Phew!"
But all those tasty satisfaction points Ying!

Ying spends the next few days (i.e. every waking hour) getting around town (and outside of town) meeting people here, there and everywhere. And all I've got to say is that, Ying might be good at making money, but she has absolutely horrible luck with partners. All those randomly generated sims keep rolling a 'Hates Children' trait. How is that possible? I don't know. But Ying keeps meeting sims with that trait it's ridiculous.

First up is Sergio Romeo. He's a townie so I already knew his traits (Hates Children, Active, Materialistic) but unff, if it weren't for his 'Hates Children' trait he would make a fine spouse. He is a pretty boy.

Ying: "Dresses really smart too. I have a thing for men in cardigans."
If I remember correctly, his aspiration is to be rich or something like that. Which also means he probably is Buisness Savvy.
Ying: "A man who knows how to handle money! Oh, I'm in love."
Are you?
Ying: "Eh, not really. But hey, I can respect a man who knows how to bring in the dough!"
*sigh* Yes. He would've made such a fine spouse if it weren't for that 'Hates Children' trait...
Ying: "God is fair?"

The next guy Ying got cozy with was Ayaan Savalani who's actually not that bad. He's cheerful, materialistic and lazy. The lazy trait makes Ying a little uncomfortable; It clashes with her personality.

Ying: "So what do you do during your off days?
Ayaan: "Nothing very exciting. Everyday's an off day for me, so it gets kinda... boring?"
Ying: "Everyday's an off day?"
Ayaan: "Yeah, I'm unemployed. Haha!"
Ying: "Oh.. well, if it's boring doing nothing then why don't you find a job?"
Ayaan: "It's a bit troublesome, don't you think?"

Well... he's not that bad of a guy.
Ying: "..."
If there's no one else I guess we could settle for him?
Ying: *whispers* "I sure hope it doesn't come to that. He'd make a nice friend. But a spouse? No thanks."

Next up, Kengo Kobayashi. He's a snob, squeamish and hates children. Too many meh traits and not a single redeeming one. Ying didn't care much for him. She just snuggled up with him for a bit, got her kiss, made him her boyfriend and got out of there to check out the other fish in the sea.

Ying: "If he were just a bore to talk to, that would've been fine. But he's not a bore. He's just plain annoying."

Ahhh, Nobuya Sasaki. A man Ying had the greatest (dis)pleasure of encountering. He's an insider, which isn't so bad. But he's also evil and, wait for it... hates children.

Ying: "Him hating children isn't even an issue anymore! This pasty keeps insulting me for no reason other than to be insulting!"
It's his evil trait talking.
Ying: "I don't even want to seduce a snake like him! Hmph!"
But you've already gotten so far! I can see his relationship bar with you! He may talk like that to you but he quite fancies you! It'd be a waste for you to stop now!
Ying: "If this is how he talks to someone he likes, I wonder how he'd treat someone he doesn't."
Just bear with it a little bit? You won't have to see him again ever once we're done getting what we need from him.
Ying: *sigh* "For the legacy."

While Ying was smooching Nobuya though, Ayaan happened to be there to witness it as seen in the photo above.

Whoops!
Ying: "Well, better have his heart-broken now than later. At least now he can move on from me and perhaps find someone suitable for himself."

I wasn't really familiar with the townies of San Myshuno so I initially had no idea Baako was a townie. Let alone married with kids. It was really a shame though, because he really was a great guy. He's a goofball, music lover and family oriented. And to top it off, he's well established in his comedian career. It's everything Ying would want in a man. Except...

Ying: "I could never break up a family though."
Of course, I understand.

Besides, Baako is already an adult and it'd be much better to search for a partner closer to Ying's age.

Ying doesn't want to homewreck Baako's happy family so she just flirts with him enough to get a kiss from him for her Serial Romantic aspiration and breaks it off instantly thereafter. It does hurt their relationship a bit, but Ying truly does hope they'd be able to stay friends. Baako really is a good guy and it'd be nice to see him and his family around.

It's the same story with Brent Hecking who is Ying's co-worker. I also had no idea Brent was a townie initially (I usually stick to Willow Creek or Oasis Spring).
Brent's a dog lover, romantic and goofball. And also happily married.

Shucks!
Ying: *sigh* "If he weren't taken he'd have been a fine catch."
All the good men are unavailable, and all the men that are have questionable personalities. Finding 'the one' is tough!

Ying deals with Brent the same way she did with Baako. Steals a kiss, and asks to just be friends. They live in the same town, so she hopes that they'll have an amicable relationship in the long run.

Ying even had a short tryst with the Don. Ying doesn't know of his reputation, but I certainly do, and as Watcher I have to protect her from that Casanova.

Just make him your boyfriend and get that kiss from him and kick him off the lot! He ain't worth your time! I'm telling ya he already has like 2 women.
Ying: "I trust you. Didn't really like him anyways."

Things start looking up when Ying happens upon Rachid Assaoui during a trip to Windenburg's library. He's neat, a bookworm, and jealous.

Ying: "I do love myself an intellectual."

Rachid would've been first choice for primary spouse — because at last! a decent, available man (he's pretty cute too)— had Ying not happened upon...

Seiji Sakamoto. He's materialistic, a genius and family oriented. And honestly, the last trait had Ying sold. A family oriented man to be the founding spouse of her legacy? Yes please!

Ying: "We'll need to do something about his hair though."
Yes. Indeed. I say he's using way too much gel.
Ying: "A man bun would look good on him don't you think?"

Since Ying has decided she wanted to spend the rest of her life with Seiji, she spends more time (compared to the other guys) getting to know him better before popping the question. And when she does, she does it in the hedge maze.

She thought it rather romantic.

Seiji moved in that night. For the time being though, they will be putting off the wedding till they're a bit more financially stable since Ying just splurged on renovating the shack into a home more fitting to raise a family in. Meanwhile, I gave Seiji a much needed makeover.

If you look closely you'll notice how pre-makeover Seiji has some 'monster eyes' with solid black scleras and golden irises; A cc of mine meant for my vampire sims. Clearly that's a no-no. And so is that 'too-much-gel' hair.

Looking much better.

You can't see it from the front, but Seiji's rocking a pretty cool man bun.
(Also, ignore that visual glitch through the wall, one of my buy CC when crazy — it's fixed now.)

In other news, Ying hasn't forgotten about Marcus. And she reckons it's a good time to abuduct bring him in as the family's servant/attendant a secondary spouse.

Ying: "So, what do you say? Not a bad idea huh? There's shared family funds. And we get to casually stick together, no strings attached. No commitment needed. It's just like living in a shared home and we get to see each other more easily. That's all."
Marcus: "Doesn't sound bad. I've been getting pretty tired of my current housemates lately..."
Ying: "You'll just have to sign some papers. You know how landlords can be. Guy wants to be sure about who's moving in and all."
Marcus: "Sure, what papers do I have to sign?"
Ying: "Just sign, here. Here. And here."
Muahahahahahahahaha!
Marcus: "Okay."
Ying: "Thanks! Now you can start with taking out the trash and preparing dinner for us!"
Marcus: "Huh?"
This is why you always read the fine print. *cackles*
Ying: "You just signed away your life to the Jin family. The servant's quarters are that way. We'll call you when we need you."

Anyways, gonna end the post with a screenshot of the renovated house. Marcus's room is the one on the left. It's separate from the main household. I plan to expand the children's bedroom and add in more child-rearing goodies later on, but for the time being most of the money has been spent so it'll have to wait for a bit.

I loved reading about Ying's serial kissing spree! And I agree that the choice of the founder's spouse is oh-so-important!
When Ying was discussing her harem, I started imagining something like the Amazon Challenge but with Ying as the only Amazoness, haha.

So happy for you and Ying that she finally found The One. After all her searching, how perfect that she found him---cute AND excellent traits!
(In one of my failed challenge attempts, my heir married Sergio of the gorgeous abs and he was fine with his own kids.)

It was great seeing how your house grew, too!
A great update all around!

P.S. Sounds like I would love your mom! Huge fan of history and lit, too!

@oshizu Ooh, gotta look up that challenge. Sounds interesting! Ying's not too sure how many extras she'll want to move in but we'll see how things slowly pan out. The idea of a satisfaction point farm is very appealing.

Sergio is a fine, fine, fine man. Twas seriously considering him because I'd eventually need to get a primary spouse with a 'Hates Children' trait down the line anyway, and if it's gotta be like that, why not Sergio? But then I decided not to because of the slew of bad moodlets that's bound to crop up and it's still a bit early in the legacy; They won't have the resources to effectively deal with those moodlets so that trait can wait a bit. Just a precaution. Don't want to accidentally flub the legacy so early on haha ~

S/N: You and my mum would hit it off! Now, if only I could just get her into sims...

Very nice! Aw, poor Marcus lol Could be worse. Congrats to Ying on finding the one ^^

@Shewolf13 Heheh ~ Thanks. :) But Marcus shouldn't have it too bad. We plan to farm him of his satisfaction points so he should still be a pretty happy guy! Sort of! Just that we'll be blowing his points on stuff he'll never use lol

1.4 — Surprise Nooboo!
« Reply #21 on: May 05, 2018, 06:54:50 AM »
(You can read this post on Wordpress HERE)

1.4 — Surprise Nooboo!

All is well in the Jin household. Seiji got a job in the tech guru career, Ying is churning out paintings and progressing her career while Marcus spends most of his time either painting or fishing to supplement the household income and to help get Ying that cowplant berry.

Then came the surprise...

Ying: "Urgh, I'm not feeling so good..."
Woah woah woah! Wait a minute what?! This isn't what I think it is right???
Ying: "I, I think I might be pregnant."
What?! Who??? HOW! You've never tried for baby!!!
Ying: "I don't know! But the body doesn't lie!"
WAIT! Waaiiiittt... I just remembered now... Oh. Oh. Uh...

( I forgot I had the risky woohoo mod in play. )

Ying: "What? What! What is it?"
Ahahahaha... nothing. But er, who was the last person you woohoo-ed again?
Ying: "Erm. Rachid? I guess. That was before Seiji and got together of course."
How about Seiji? Have you and Seiji like. Woohoo-ed recently?
Ying: "Seiji and I haven't woohoo-ed yet. The opportunity never came up... The father is probably Rachid huh?"
Oh. Okay. Erm. Yeah, basically.
Ying: "What are we going to do about this?"
... I guess, we just have to tell Seiji? And Rachid?

Rachid took the news pretty well. Boy am I glad he and Ying ended on good terms.

Rachid: "It must've been quite a surprise."
Ying: "Yeah it was. I'm sorry for dumping this on you out of nowhere."
Rachid: "No, we should've been more careful. But what's done is done. I'll be there for you and the baby regardless."
*sniffs* Such a good man. Let's invite him to join the household Ying! He should have the option to stick around for his child if he wants to!
Ying: "If you want to... you could move in? That is, if you want. If you'd rather not want to be burdened by a child that's fine too. Because I've already got Seiji."
Rachid: "I'd love to! I'd love to stick around to watch my child grow! And Seiji doesn't have to worry. You and I, we're just friends now. What we had is all in the past. It's only because of the baby. Cross my heart, hope to die!"

And thus, Rachid became the first official, secondary spouse of the Jin Legacy.

Seiji was just as understanding.

Seiji: "Don't look so down. I'm not upset! Besides, this was before we got together, so what's there to be upset about?"
Ying: "But it's not your child..."
Seiji: "A baby is a baby. Doesn't matter if it's not mine. I can still make a great step-dad!"
Ying: "So.. you're actually okay with this?"
Seiji: "We've been wanting a baby anyways right? We got one!"
Ying: "How about Rachid? Are you okay with him moving in?"
Seiji: "Oooh, he's moving in? Great! It takes a village to raise a child. It'd be nice for the baby to know their biological father too... he's a nice guy right?"
Ying: "Errr, yeah? I guess? He's a good guy."
Seiji: "Great! Then the baby will be in good hands... I can't wait to see who the baby takes after!"

Wow, it's great that he's family oriented. He took it really well.
Ying: *whispers* Yeah, he's more excited than all of us combined.

It isn't long before D-Day arrives and Ying heads to the hospital to give birth.

How you feeling?
Ying: "Not too great."

Annnnddddd..... IT'S A GIRL. Which was sort of expected, considering how Ying basically gorged herself on strawberries after learning of her pregnancy. After all, only a female can be an heir.
In any case, meet Jia! The first poteintial heir to the Jin Legacy!

Ying: "Isn't she adorable?"

The dads with their baby girl is an absolutely adorable sight. Rachid is a very nurturing father, and he's almost always the first to respond to Jia's cries. And Seiji is absolutely smitten by his step-daughter. He just loves cooing at her! Jia has seemed to have taken a liking to Seiji too!

On a side note, here's a random photo of Marcus hanging with Ying's exes (Ayaan, Kengo and Nobuya were there too, but not in frame).

While the family was dealing with the pregnancy, Marcus was out socalising and raising his charisma because he has that annoying 'Friend of the World' aspiration.

You're such a pain, even as a servant. Urgh.
Marcus: "Well... you could just fire me?"
Nice try. Also watch your mouth. Say anything funny about Ying to her exes and I'm taking away your bed and you can enjoy sleeping on the floor. I won't stand for slander against my Watched. I only had Ying call them here so you could complete your stupid aspirations. Make friends with them and get back to fishing!
Marcus: *sigh* "Okay."

We're gonna milk this man of his satisfiaction points as much as we can! Muahahahahahaha!

Authur's Notes:
Jia's name is written — 甲 — and has the meaning of 'first'. She's the first born child, so I thought it'd be a pretty apt name for her. Hehe ~

Man. I probably should've done a survey of my mods before I started playing the legacy. Ying's pregnancy nearly gave me a heart attack! My mods folder is a mess so I haven't been able to check every inch of it, but I did a quick one over and I think there shouldn't be anymore surprises. Hopefully. I think I'll keep the risky woohoo option 'on' though, because I like it for my other gameplays. It just means I have to be more careful when woohoo-ing from now on.

Anyways, I finally got a 'Meet the Jin(s)' section up! Woohoo!

@Shewolf13 There is? Thanks for the heads-up! Haha ~ But I probably won't be using the birth control much. The surprise is the fun part. ;)
Jia gets way cuter as a toddler! Just wait! :3

@BallerinaHippo I had a huge 'oh no' moment when I found out about the pregnancy and was all ready to nuke my legacy before I calmed down and realised that secondary spouses are a thing and Rachid was cute as hell too. Am somewhat glad that I found out about that rouge mod via Rachid. Cause I vaguely remember woohoo-ing either Ayaan or Kengo at one point (it raises the date meter really fast). The little 'village' is really helpful. There's always an adult around for her and phew! If she wants Top-Notch Tod, she needs all the help she can get!

1.5 — Of Weddings and Toddlers

1.5 — Of Weddings and Toddlers

Now that Ying's pregnancy is over, its high time she and Seiji got married officially! So one phone call and everyone Ying knew (except Marcus, someone has to watch Jia after all) was invited to Myshuno Meadows for the ceremony.

For some reason, most of the guest seemed more interested in getting a drink from the bar so we only managed to get only ??? 5 people actually witnessing the ceremony?

Sit down people! Please! Oi! Rachid, where do you think you're going!
Rachid: "Oh Watcher, heh heh... Sorry! But the bartender is cute. *whisper* And I think she might have a thing for me. *whisper* Besides, I'm sure Ying and Seiji won't mind. I mean, look at them! They're lost in their own world."
*sigh* Only cause you're a nice guy Rachid. And well, you're not wrong.

( Rachid's they guy in red with the top hat. I wish I had taken a pic of his formal outfit. 'twas a pretty cool combo. He works that top hat. )

The blushing bride is absolutely gorgeous with her hair up. And she's also dressed to impress! Look at that stunning qipao of hers! Who says weddings dresses can't be red?

Ying: "I love you."
Seiji: "I love you more ~"
Ying: "No I do!"
Oh, get on with it already you two!
Seiji: "Ahem, Ying. You're smart, ambitious, a go-getter. But you're also gentle, compassionate, and brigten up my life. I know you intend to build a legacy, and I want to be there with you every step of the way. I want to be your support and so much more. Will you marry me?"
Ying: "Yes! Yes! Of course!"
This is all so sickeningly sweet. I'm cringing.

Awwww, aren't they so sweet?

In fact, they're so sweet it's almost enough to give anybody diabetes.

I mean, look at them feeding each other the first slice of wedding cake! IT'S SO CUTE (And cringy. Cute-cringy)!!!!
In any case, the wedding went smoothly and Ying's got her first Gold Wedding Party, and hopefully there's going to be plenty more to come in the generations to come.

The day was still young, so the newlyweds headed over to The Gold Room nightclub for some lovely-dovery good times. Besides, Ying needs to work towards her Soulmate aspiration. I think I forgot to mention it in the previous updates, but Ying had completed her Serial Romantic aspiration right before Seiji moved in.

Ying: "Honeymoon time!!!"

Let's just say that Ying's feeling really 'in-the-mood'. The wedding high will take a while to wear off and till then, Ying's gonna be throwing out all those cheesy pick-up lines she'd learnt from all her past relationships on Seiji.

Ying: "Hey there, handsome."
Seiji: *blushes*
Ying: "Do you like skittles?"
Seiji: "Y-yes?"
Ying: "Great! Cause I've got skittles in my mouth. Get ready to taste the rainbow?"
*groan* Where did you learn THAT from?!
Ying: Shush! Can't you see, Seiji's totally loving it!

Yeash. Right in the middle of the dance floor? No shame at all. Get a room you two!
Ying: "It's our wedding day, lighten up Watcher!"

Once the day is over though, it's back to the usual humdrum of daily life. Sort of. Cause how boring can life be when you got a toddler in it?

That's right! Jia's aged up! She rolled the CLINGY trait. She a cute toddler, and takes after her father – with her curly blond locks and thin lips. I honestly do wish she had at least inherited a feature or two from Ying. It's always cool to see how many generations the Founder's genetics can last.

In any case, cue the mandatory family bonding montage!!!

Jia skills really quickly thanks to her clingy trait. And with so many adults in the house, there almost always someone out there for her to get some attention from. Ying is most definitely the strict parent. She's always the trying to educate Jia in the ways of being a top-notch toddler whenever she possibly can.

Ying: "Drrrraaaggoooon. Repeat after me Jia, Drrraaaaggooonnn."
Jia: "Da—gon."
Ying: "Hmm, try again. Drraaaggooonn."
Jia: "Daaaaagoooon."
Ying: "Good try Jia, maybe we should try another word."
Jia: "But mummy, I want to play with Uncle Rachid!"

Rachid's a really nurturing father. He's always checking up on Jia on his own, and plays with her a lot even without my nudging. Jia absolutely adores him.

Rachid: "Rachid Airlines, ready for take off! Are you ready?"
Jia: "Ready!"
Rachid: "Vrrrooooommmmm! Vrooooommm!"
Jia: "Higher!! Higher!"

Rachid: "Whoop-dee-doo ~!"
Jia: "Ahhhh!!! Wait! Not upside down!"

Since they're not tight on money anymore, Ying decided to invest in a toddler playground – ball pit and all – for Jia's enjoyment. It will be useful in raising the future generations to come. In the meantime, Jia's having an absolute blast swimming in colourful plastic.

I noticed that Jia didn't get much of an opportunity to bond with Seiji since he's been so caught up with work. So I had him take a day off to get some daddy-daughter time.

Seiji: "Eagle One requesting permission to land. Over."
Seiji: "Bbbzztt! Oh no! I think an alien ship is attack! Requesting instructions captain!"
Jia: "Shoot! Shoot at the bad monsters! Make them go boom boom!"

Family bonding aside, Rachid has been spending time building up a rocket ship.

Rachid: "Won't be long before she's ready to fly!"
Awfully busy aren't you?
Rachid: "Yeah, haven't got much to do around the house really. By the way, I picked up a job in the Atheletic career!"
Isn't that tiring? It has really odd hours.
Rachid: "Nah, am not taking it too seriously. It's just to pass time, earn some cash. Besides, it'll help we work towards my Bodybuilder aspiration! I do love myself some big guns! Heh, heh!"
Atta boy!

All the hard work does pay off though, and Rachid is ever closer to achieving the perfect body. The finishing line is not far off.

Rachid: "Hey Watcher! Look at these gains!"
Looking smokin' my man!

Ying, on the other hand, has been working on her gardening ever since Marcus fished up their first cowplant berry.

And as for Marcus. Guy has finally completed his 'Friend of the World' aspiration gah! It was such a pain micro-managing him and his constant hangouts at the beach just to get his 20 friends. Blegh.

His best friend is Gunther Munch. And I think they might have a thing for each other. Their romance bar filled up quite a bit while I wasn't looking.

Ying: "I've seen them together, they're kinda cute."
kINda CuTe?! KINDA CUTE?! Ying have you forgotten what this man has done to you?!?
Ying: "Of course not. But I've got Seiji now, and I'm long over it. I mean, if it weren't for him, I wouldn't have met Seiji."
Hmph! Still think he's a bad guy.
Ying: "Maybe, but he's not that bad. He hasn't really complained much and does as he's told. He's also brought in quite a bit of money for us."
Yeah, yeah whatever. I don't see what Gunther sees in the man but whatever. They can flirt or make smoochy-faces so long as Marcus keeps doing what he's supposed to do.
Ying: "Haha ~ going soft?"
What!? NO. They can do whatever they want but Marcus is doomed to live and die in this household as a servant! It's his punnishment for his fickle ways!
Ying: "Whatever you decide to do with him though, I just want you to know, I don't mind what he's done anymore."
Are you trying to get me to let him off???
Ying: "Oh no! Not at all— oh, would you look at the time! Time for Jia's word lesson!"

In any case, I think I'll end off the update here.
There should be quite a bit of excitement expected in the next update... Is that a bump in Ying's tummy? Heh heh ~ Stay tuned to fine out! ;)

Author's Note:
Moarrr babies yeaaahhh!
On a side note though, am wondering if I should get Marcus and Gunther together. I mean. Satisfaction points ayyyee ~

I agree!  Get them together.  Plus, it provides a valid reason for Marcus turning Ying down.  Of course, it doesn't explain why he flirted with her and led her on, but maybe he was confused.

Lovely wedding and super-cute toddler!

1.6 — Dragon Phoenix Twins

We ended the last chapter with Ying being preggy, and fast forward a few days or so, it's time for the baby!

Ying: "Guys! Watcher! I think it's time!"

Previously, Ying went to the hospital alone. But this time Seiji decided to accompany her; He wanted to be there for the birth of his child. Ying's already done this before so she's as cool as a cucumber, but Seiji practically had a breakdown. His pre-parental panic came out in full force.

Seiji: "Oh no. Oh no. Oh nononononoononoononoo—"
Seiji! Calm down!
Seiji: "What's that machine for? Why is Ying so quiet? Is something wrong with her? Is she okay? Or is something wrong with the baby?"
She's giving birth Seiji! You can't expect her to be all that talkative! And nothing's wrong, the doctor is justing giving her a check up with the machine. Relax!
Seiji: "But why would the doctor need to do a check up unless something was wrong?"
Seiji—
Seiji: "Oh noononooonononoo! Ying's too young to die! We've barely just started! And the baby! Oh the baby!!!"
Uh, you know what. You can just... panic there in the corner. Just do it quietly will you?

For someone who's Family-Oriented, he's sure panicking a lot. But maybe it's because he is Family-Oriented, that he's panicking.

Seiji's pre-parental panic attacks aside, everything else went ahead without a hitch. Annddd... it's TWINS. A boy and a girl! DRAGON PHONEIX TWINS
Twins were not surprising since I've got the On Ley Line lot trait to help boost fertility. But I've never gotten boy-girl twins in the game before so I'm absolutely thrilled!

Meet Chen & Feng Jin!
Chen — 辰 (chén) — means 'Heavenly'. It's also a name associated with the fire element, and also with the year of the Dragon. And since he's the 'Dragon' of the pair, it seemed fitting to name him 辰.
Feng — 凤 (fèng) — means 'Phoenix'. It's very literal and a fitting name for the 'Phoenix' of the pair. 凤 is also associated with the water element.

Not everyone was thrilled about the new additions to the family. Jia was very upset about her new siblings and went to her new room to vent to Mr. Meow.

Jia: "One sibling is bad enough. But TWO!?!"
Jia: *sobs* "I don't want siblings!!!"

( Also yes! If you've noticed from the background, I've renovated the legacy lot seeing how we have two new additions to the family. I want to show it off so I'll do a house tour later. It's much bigger and looks way better now! It's great having a ton of sims hauling in the moolah. )

With pregnancy out of the way and Seiji having upped his Painting skills, it was high time our lovely founder and her primary spouse be memorialised.

Ying decided to throw in a medium portrait of Rachid too. He deserved one, being the father of Jia and all.

Potraits aside, Ying's completed her Soulmate aspiration easily enough. Ying and Seiji can't get enough of each other. With all Love aspirations done and dusted, she moved onto the Bodybuilder aspiration for that much desired Long Lived trait.

Rachid: "PUT YOUR BACK INTO IT! MOVE THOSE CHICKEN LEGS!!"

Rachid had already completed his Bodybuilder aspiration, so he helped Ying out with hers by mentoring her. And boy is he a tough trainer; Look at that face! Never though him to be the 'tough-love' type of guy.

It wasn't long before Jia's birthday rolled by and the family held a party for her. Only Marcus and Ying were in attendance since Rachid and Seiji had to go to work, but Jia wasn't really bothered by it. She was excited to mingle with all the uncle and aunties (aka all of Ying's exes and a few of her female friends). The family would've gotten their first gold medal for the Birthday Party, but for some reason one of the goals was bugged – it wouldn't clear no matter how many times it was completed – so they had to settle for silver. They'll have more opportunities in the future no doubt.

Jia rolled NEAT – just like her father – for her trait. And got RAMBUNCTIOUS SCAMP for her aspiration. A tomboy who doesn't like to get too dirty? Cool!

If you can't already tell from her wardrobe choice, her favourite colour is purple. ;)

Uh, Jia. I'm not sure if you've noticed but those shoes and that dress don't exactly match...
Jia: "Oh, I know. But they're easy to run in! And very comfy!"
Well... Okay. And those tights, they don't really fit the outfit either. Aren't they hot?
Jia: "Yeah. It's hot! But I don't want to accidentally flash my undies! And wearing shorts under the dress makes it look poofy and ugly. Tights look better!"
Hmm... whatever floats your boat Jia.

Both Chen & Feng's birthday also coincidentally fell on the same day as Jia's and they both aged up to toddlers. Chen rolled the SILLY trait, while Feng rolled CHARMER.

They are definitely twins. Look at their matching dopey expressions! I love it!

On a side note, I decided to let Marcus and Gunther get together after all. Their romance bar filled way too quickly without my intervention.

Ying: "I guess they were meant to be."
*grumbles* Could've told you he wasn't interest in the first place instead of leading you on.
Ying: "Aww, come on Watcher! You're not still bitter about that are you?"
Humph!
Ying: "They're cute."

Ying: "Wow, you actually let Marcus date in the house. You've really gone soft huh?"
What! I have NOT. Guther's just a nice guy and doesn't deserve to date in that shabby shack that Marcus sleeps in. Just because I don't like Marcus doesn't mean I don't like Gunther.
Ying: "That's still rather nice of you. I'm surprised you agreed to let Gunther move in too."
Huh? What are you talking about?
Ying: "Hmm? You gave permission right? I mean, Marcus and Guther are discussing it  rig—"
Wait a minute!!!

Gunther: "I want to be with you, spend more time with you. Would you like to move in with me? I'm living alone, my whole family has moved out. It's rather lonely home alone, and I'd love to have you around."
Marcus: "I'm sorry, I can't. I'm bound to this household by the Watcher's contract. I can't break it."
Gunther: "Watcher's contract?"
Marcus: "Yes. My—This household has a Watcher watching over us. And I can't leave unless they allow it. And I'm kind of sure I'm not allowed to leave because of uhh... reasons hahaha..."
Gunther: "Then how about me moving in then? I don't mind! It's lonely living alone!"
Marcus: "I don't think you'd like it though. I mean. I don't exactly live in this house. I live in the shack close to the beach. You've seen it. It's nothing much. You're better off living in your own place."
Gunther: "I said I don't mind. I really don't."
Marcus: "But. My Watcher might not allo—"

*groans*
*mutters* I can't believe I'm doing this *mutters*

You. Gunther can move in if he wants. Tell him that. I... don't mind.
Marcus: "Seriously!!?!"
Gunther: "Huh? What? What?"
Marcus: "My Watcher just said you could move in if you want! But wait! Are you sure you want it? I mean, like I said. I don't live in the best of places."
Gunther: "Am totally okay with it! Living in such a big house alone is boring anyway! When can I move in!"

*sigh* I guess I'll have to upgrade Marcus's liv—
Ying: "And Gunther's"
*rolls eyes* —and Gunther's living space soon.
Ying: "It's sweet how secretly soft you are Watcher!"
Shaddup.

Gunther moving in brings up the number of sims in the household up to a whopping 8! He's CREATIVE, a BOOKWORM, and CLUMSY. With the RENAISSANCE SIM aspiration.

He's got plenty of skills at various levels, but for now, I don't have any solid plans for him. The renaissance aspiration might be a little tricky to get around, especially when there are 2 toddlers and 1 child in the household that needs attention. So for the time being, Gunther will just be doing daily tasks for his career – reading books, so easy-peasy – and have free reign over whatever else he wishes to do.

The Jin household is going to be really busy from now on with so many people in it.

Author's Note:
Eight sims! That's gonna be a real handful! I'm a total micro-manager but eight sims, and two of which are toddlers? This is gonna be a challenge.

@Shewolf13 Got them together because why not? ;)
More helping hands around the house is bound to be helpful right? Or at least, I hope so! Eight sims is pretty daunting!

@BallerinaHippo Pretty valid explanation indeed. Whenever I'm not looking the romance bar between those two jumps like crazy! Gah! With Ying, she flirted first all the time. But for Gunther, it just happened. But whelp, not complaining anymore I guess. Gunther is a pretty swell guy! Lotsa skills he got.

Awwww!  How sweet with Marcus and Gunther ^^ So cute!  And the Watcher is definitely a softy hehehe.  I do think it sweet that Ying sticks up for Marcus.  People (and Sims) make mistakes.  I love the family.  Chen and Feng are adorable and Jia is a darling!  I have a soft spot for tomboys since, well, that's what I was hehehe

The house is amazing!  The shell and the decorating ^^ Love the bathrooms.  Is that CC? Particularly the shower in the master bathroom and the bunkbed toddler beds?

@Shewolf13 I've really soften up to Marcus. He's an elder now, and he's actully pretty endearing. He smiles a lot. How have I never noticed it before! And Jia is a real trouble-maker haha ~ She really is a 'Rambunctious Scamp". But trouble-maker or not, I love her spunk! Though it does give Ying quite a headache. ;)

There's quite a bit of CC in the house! I love using CC. In fact, I think I have too much CC... >< But I just love the variety!
I got the toddler bunkbeds HERE. They're fully functional, but you gotta use the matching CC matteress without footprints for it to work.
And I got the pretty shower stalls (made by peacemaker-ic) HERE. I get most of my build/buy CC from peacemaker-ic. He makes the best maxis match build/buy stuff. Almost anything that's CC in the house probably came from him. :)

1.7 — Retirement and Rebellious Kiddos

1.7 — Retirement and Rebellious Kiddos

With Rachid's tough mentoring, Ying got her bodybuilder aspiration in no time. And boy is she jacked. She is not a woman to be messed with.

Looking powerful Ying!
Ying: "Yeah! I bet §100 I could be Seiji in an arm wrestling match."
Yeah. Seiji is looking a little scrawny in comparison...
Ying: "He ought to take a break from work and get some exercise in."
That'd be nice. He's always so busy trying to make money for that Fabulously Wealthy aspiration of his.

Wow, Ying. You look... really buff! It's uh, not really flattering in a tank top.
Ying: "I can't help it!"
Maybe you ought to cut back on the weight training.
Ying: "I was thinking about taking up yoga? Maybe that will slim down my figure?"
Good idea.

As usual, Ying takes the helm of educating the kiddos. She likes being involved with the child rearing, and her flexible hours as a Painter give her plenty of time to care for them.
The twins are rather well-behaved, and not prone to temper tantrums, which makes things a lot easier.

Ying: "Chen and Feng are such good kids, if only Jia could be as well-behaved— Wait a minute!!!"
Ying: *chanting* "Parents don't have favourites. Parents don't have favourites. Parents don't have favourites. Parents don't have favourites."
Uh, you okay there Ying?
Ying: "Nothing, just reminding myself I love all my kids EQUALLY. Jia is just going through a phase. That's all."

Jia is a lot more defiant than she was as a tot. And she constantly makes messes everywhere for some reason. Least to say, she gets scolded quite a bit.

Rachid: "Again? What did I say about this!"
Jia: "Ugh. It's not like I'm making a mess inside the house. It's outside. In the dirt. What does it matter?!"
Rachid: "Don't you talk back to me young woman. Not one more quip from you or you're grounded, you hear me!"
Jia: *grumbling under breath*
Rachid: "Stop muttering under you breath and clean up this mess."
Jia: "Humph!"

Baby steps.

Jia will learn. And the family has faith she will grow out of her rebellious phase. They'll always be there to guide her down the right path.

Meanwhile, Marcus and Gunther have been all mushy together. I've yet to renovate their shack, but they been hanging around quite a bit round the main house and utilising its amenities so I guess that make-over can still wait.

Marcus also got his bodybuilder aspiration done easy-peasy. He is, after all, a Powerhouse member. Working out is his 'thing'.

And he got his aspiration done just in time too! Cause Marcus aged-up to elder a day or so after completing it. Gunther, too, aged-up to adult on the same day.

Unfortunately, they had no birthday party because the rest of the family was so caught up with the kids they honestly forgot. But all is well. Gunther and Marcus were happy to spend their birthday with each other – that's another Gold (date) medal to the count!

Now that Marcus is an elder, I decided to just let him 'retire' and enjoy the rest of his sim life doing pursuing whatever he wishes. Which is apparently, canoodling daily with Gunther and picking up mixology.

Oh God, I have gone soft.
Marcus: "I appreciate it Watcher! I know we didn't start of on the right foot, but I'm glad we've somewhat smoothen things out."
Yeah, yeah. Whatever. You're lucky Gunther's a sweet guy and I like him.
Marcus: "Yeah. I'm a really lucky guy. And Ying's really lucky to have a Watcher like you. Oh! And I'll be sure to max the mixology skill asap! That way it can count towards your legacy too!"
Urgh. Stop acting so nice and mushy... it's weirding me out. I'm not supposed to like you. I'm petty. I'm still not over Ying's first heartbreak.
Marcus: "It's okay if you don't like me. I still want to keep skilling for the legacy anyways. :)"
*chants* I'm not supposed to like you. I'm not supposed to like you. I'm not supposed to like you. *chants*

It's hard for elderly!Marcus to not grow on you though, when he's such a grand-dad/uncle around the kiddos. Something about that white hair and wrinkles just makes the man seem more homely and approachable. That and his enthusiasm around the kids.

Marcus: "Great job Feng! You're doing good!!"

All the doting the men do in the house balances out Ying's tough-as-nails approach to raising the kiddos. Ying takes no prisoners when it comes to educating them.

Jia: "But muuuummmmmmm."
Ying: "No buts. No playing till you finish your homework. And it must be correct. I will check it. Anything wrong, you will redo until you get it right."
Jia: "But—"
Marcus: *whispers* "Don't worry, I'll help you. Two heads are better than one."

Whenever Jia isn't bringing down mum's (or the dads') wrath on her though, she spends most of her time outside playing on the monkey bars and working towards her Rambunctious Scamp aspiration. It's going pretty well. She's a naturally limber child, and swinging from bar to bar comes easy to her.

Her being a Top-Notch Tot really helps speed things along. I'd reckon she'll be completing it soon.

Jia: "Heh! Hey Watcher! How long do you think I'll be able to stay out playing tonight without mum noticing?"
You might break a record today! She was potty-training Chen last I checked. And you know how his bladder control's like so she'll be occupied for a bit.
Ying: "JIIAAAAA!!! GET INSIDE ONCE IT GETS DARK YOU HEAR ME!!! I DON'T WANT YOU HURTING YOURSELF BECAUSE YOU SLIPPED IN THE DARK."
Jia: "How does she do that?! Watcher! How does she do that?! She's like psychic or something!"
*shrug* I have no idea. I swear I didn't tip her off!

While Jia has Ying breathing down her neck, the twins are out and about skilling. They do everything together, and are practically joined at the hip! (It's easier to keep track of them in an 8 sim household that way haha ~)

They're just a hair's breath away from approaching best friend territory.

Once the twins have got their skills down, I can't wait for them to really get to hang out with Jia. Between Jia's almost constant need for disciplinary action and the twins skilling, they haven't had as much time to bond as I would've liked. Siblings gotta stick together!

Author's Note: I finally got a family tree up HERE! Also updated the points and 'meet the Jin(s)' section. :3
Also, wow! An eight sim household is so chaotic. I hope I'll be able to get Top Notch Tot for both the twins. ><

1.8 — Still Young at Heart

(You can read this post on Wordpress HERE)

1.8 — Still Young at Heart

Despite her penchant for mischief, Jia's been doing really well. Under Ying's strict tutelage, she climbed up to the top of her class and is now an A student. And she's managed to complete her Rambunctious Scamp aspiration too.

Jia: "Feels good to be number #1, heh!"
*wipes tear* They grow up so quickly. I'm proud of you.
Ying: "I'm proud of you too! I knew you could do it! You just needed to put your mind to it."

Of course, Ying's not one for complacency so Jia still has a study schedule to stick to. Though she's less strict about now that Jia has proven herself somewhat disciplined.

Jia: "Muummmm, do I really need to do extra credit work?"
Ying: "Complacency breeds failure. Just because you're at the top of your class doesn't mean you can slack off! Success takes constant work!"
*whisper* Don't argue back! Else she's gonna start up with her nagging again. Urgh, remember the last one?
Jia: "Uh, yeah. Sure mum. I guess, er, you're right."

With Ying's encouragement, Jia also picked up the Whiz Kid aspiration to work towards. It serves a great way for the mother-daughter pair to bond. Jia can play a mean game of chess when she really gets into it.

Jia: "HAH! ATE YOUR CASTLE! MUAHAHAHAHA— Oh, and check."
Ying: "Jia, we talked about this. Please don't slam-knock the pieces you're 'eating', you're going to damage them. And the table."
Jia: "But muuummm, it's not as impactful if I don't assert dominace by crushing your piecesssss."
Ying: *sigh* "Well, your enthusasium is heartening. Also, good move."

Obviously, Jia's not one to take things very seriously.

Jia: "Ahhhh. Doesn't it smell amazing Watcher?"
It smells... like rotten eggs and sulfur.
Jia: "Exactly! It'd make a perfect stink bomb! Justin's been annoying me lately. Framing him for nasty farts ought to take him down a notch, don't you think so?"
Heh, make sure your mum doesn't find out.
Jia: "She won't! I think...?" *looks around nervously*

Meanwhile, Seiji's been busy as ever with work/money making. The Fabulously Wealthy aspiration is much more annoying (and hard to complete) that I'd originally anticipated. He's the only one in the family who has yet to complete even one aspiration.

He's opened up a small roadside 'gallery' to sell the family's artwork (at 100% mark-up) in hopes of churning out dough more effectively.

Seiji: "Watcher, earning money is hard. I'm not so sure it's worth it. I haven't been able to spend much time with Ying... or the kids... I miss the family."
I know...
Seiji: "It's hard not being able to watch our kids grow. I feel like I'm missing out so much..."
I know. Just a little more Seiji! Just.. a little less that §100,000 left to earn! And I've heard that retailing is the best way to earn that money! You'll be done with that stupid aspiration and back to your family in no time! I promise!
Seiji: "I hope so. Money isn't everything after all."

Seiji was looking really scrawny in comparison to the rest of the family. And he's been stress with work, work, work. So I  nudged him to get some exercise for a much needed change of pace.
It was supposed to be a 'de-stressing' activity, but it seems like it was more stressful.

Rachid took the hard-ass approach like he did with Ying when mentoring Seiji. Let's just say, it didn't go so well. Seiji just felt worse off and entirely demoralised.

*whisper* Hey Rachid, don't you think you should take it a little easier on Seiji?
Rachid: "A good fitness regime requires discipline, and it's developed by being pushed to your limit!"
Absolutely, but Seiji's originally a pretty disciplined guy and look! He's already so stressed out by... everything. A little more encouragement wouldn't hurt. Maybe it'd be more effective that way too. Different strokes for different folks and stuff, you know?
Rachid: "Hmm, you might have a point there Watcher."

Rachid switched up his mentoring style and it certainly helped a lot. Lots of progress was made.

While Seiji struggled with his aspiration, Rachid took on Painter Extraordinaire as his new aspiration. Ying more more than happy to help mentor him as he skilled his painting. Of course, Ying being Ying, was just as tough a mentor to Rachid as Rachid had been to her while she was working towards her Bodybuilder aspiration. Progress is pretty fast when you've got a Master Painter-Mentor and top-notch art equipment in the house.

Ying, on the other hand, has taken on the Freelance Botanist aspiration. She's speeding through that one too since she'd already leveled gardening some before picking up the aspiration. Most of her plants were already grown and ready to be evolved/grafted (Death Flower, here we come!!!) so all she really has to do to complete it is evolve 10 excellent plants and get to level 10 gardening. It'll take a little time, but she's not sweating it.

She has also picked up Yoga to slim down her bulky figure.

( And yeah, I renovated the gym and the family is once again – broke. I need to stop spending money so frivolously; But they earn money pretty quickly nowadays with so many painters around so eh. )

As for Gunther, he reached level 4 of the Writing career and quit, switching over to a career in Entertainment in pursuit of his Renaissance Sim aspiration.

Also, I wasn't too fond of Gunther's wardrobe choice so I gave him a makeover! I tried not to alter his style too much, and I'm rather happy with how it turned out.
His theme was woody brown, and clearly he likes his sweaters and cardigans – makes him feel like quite the intellectual (which he absolutely is). He also grew his goatee out just a lil' bit for a more mature look.

Marcus loves it.

Speaking of which, Marcus might be an elder now, but he's still got it and romances his man the way he would at his prime. A slick man he is.

Though there are times he's... not so slick. Like when he's trying to play coy and 'seductive' with Gunther by demonstrating how flexible and nimble he is via body rolls.

*facepalm* The second-hand embarrassment is real...
Gunther: "Heh heh heh, I think it's cute."

Gunther absolutely loves it so who am I to judge?

Speaking of loving things, Gunther is absolutely overjoyed when Marcus proposes to him. Old age must've mellowed out Marcus, and I guess he finally wants to settle down at long last.

They celebrate by *ahem* woohoo-ing in the rocket ship. It was all Marcus's idea, of course. He's still young at heart and a Casanova through and through; Guy knows how to keep the romance exciting.

I mean, look at that 'come hither' face of his!

When Ying heard of the news, she was very supportive and happy even for Marcus. In fact, she's very excited for the wedding. Marcus didn't ask, but Ying is all over planning the event.

She just loves planning and organising and managing stuff.

*sigh* Like Watcher, like Watched.
Ying: "So, what do you think about the aisle? It's not much, since we don't have that much in the hosuehold finacnes. But managed to convince our Watcher to plant the tree, and I think it makes up for the simplicity. Give off quite the romantic ambiance no?"
Marcus: "It's— I mean. Wow, Ying! You really didn't have to go that far! Gunther and I don't really care about a ceremony or anything."
Ying: "Yeah, yeah. But it's always nice to have one. Pretty sure Gunther's secretly really into it too. I caught him all starry eyed and dazed infront of the arch the other night."
Marcus: "I— Oh, really?"
Ying: "Mmmhhmmm, anyways. Important question. Would you rather sugared mixed nuts, or chocolate for the wedding favours? Or both. We could do both."
Marcus: "Uhhh, anything is—"
Ying: "Oh come on Marcus! Choose something!"
Marcus: "Yes! I mean, uh. Nuts. Nuts sound good."

Can't wait till the wedding!

Author's Note:
I know the twins didn't get much screentime this update, but that's cause they're mostly just skilling loads and nothing interesting is happening. I want them to both get Top-Notch Tots if possible so I've just been power skilling them lately. They should get more screentime the next update, and even more once they're kids!

1.9 — Kiss the Boy!

Marcus & Gunther's wedding day small and cosy, with only the Jin household plus Gunther's family in attendance. But it still provided quite a whirlwind of activity!

It's always a mother's wish to send of their child to their happily-ever-after, and Mila Munch couldn't be happier for her son. Both mother and son are practically glowing with joy!

Everyone has a banging good time socializing for a bit before the ceremony. The twin tots aren't shy at all around the new faces.

Ying, of course, opted to provide the catering for the wedding all by herself. She didn't skill up her cooking to level 10 for nothing! Time to flex all that skill!! That's not the only thing she's flexing though, cause look that those guns! ;)

My Ying, that dress really does accentuate your toned arms.
Ying: "Heh, heh. Thanks Watcher!"

While Ying's cooking up a storm in the kitchen, Jia – being the well-mannered child she is – helps set the table.

*sniff* So proud of you Jia, so proud *sniff*
Jia: "Yeash Watcher, you're making a big deal out of nothing!"
What are you talking about! The you from a few days ago would've just ran off to play on the monkey bars! This is character development that's what it is!!
Jia: "People can mature yeash. Stop being so dramatic."
OH MY—! Look at you, throwing around words like 'mature'! You're growing up so fast!
Jia: *groan* "Please Watcher, you're being embrassing..."

In any case, the wedding goes on without a hitch. The ceremony would've been picture perfect... if only the guest could just sit still! Guther's family kept running off to the bar for drinks!

Gunther: "Mum please!"

Audience or no, it was still a lovely, lovely ceremony.

Vows exchanged, it was time for some CAKE!! As per tradition, first slice perks goes to the groom and groom.

The newlyweds are just as sappy as Ying and Seiji had been on their wedding day not too long ago. It's so cute, GAH— I love happy sims! :3

Once the grooms have had their slice, it's time for the rest of the guest to dig. And boy did Seiji really dig in! Look at him viciously chomp down on his slice of cake. Heh!
The wedding also ends off on a high note, with the family earning a gold medal. Woot ~ !

While the adults have polite, cultured conversation in the dining room, the kiddos let loose in the living room. It's about time the siblings started spending more time together!

It's really great having so many adults in the family. Each kiddo always gets attention one way or another and there's little to no sibling rivalry between them thus far. Or maybe that's just Jia to be honest... She just wants the adults to get off her back to do her own thing really. I can't wait till the tots age up. There ought to be more sibling bonding then!

Author's Note:
*rises from the dead*
I'M BACK. There's been such a gap between my update on the Jin household and I'm so sorry. >< I got caught up with stuff irl, but I hope I'll be able to pick up the pace with regards to the legacy! I do miss my sims!

1.10 — Grief and Moving On

1.10 — Grief and Moving On

The newlywed couple spent their honeymoon being all lovey-dovey and stacking up gold date medals for the legacy.
Since Marcus is retired, he has lots of time on his hands. As for Gunther, well, he's not exactly part of the legacy and I'm not really pushing for him to skill/level anything so I had him take time off work do just chill with his hubby.

I just wish they'd woohoo in their own bed. Yeash!

They keep using Rachid's bed even after I explicitly directed them to their own bed.
The pathing is weird in this game! I reckon Rachid would be less than pleased if he knew what the two lovebirds were continuously up to in his room so...
I just keep him busy whenever they're there. :/

It's supposed to be all happy times seeing how Marcus & Gunther are so fresh from their wedding, but then tragedy struck!

I had entirely forgotten death by overexertion was a thing!!!

Marcus is your stereotypical jock who – even in his old age – pumps iron on the regular whenever I'm not looking so he gets that 'uncomfy' moodlet quite a bit.
But death by overexertion is so rare, and I've never ever had it happen in my games before so I never paid it much heed.

Clearly I should've! Cause after one of their dates (and woohoo session) the notification popped and uh oh...

Not good at all.

Gunther, unsurprisingly, doesn't take it very well.

The whole household got hit with a pretty powerful sad moodlet. But Gunther had it the worst of all.
No one else in the household was directly related to Marcus, but Marcus was Gunther's husband, and they had been newlyweds too.
It wasn't even a double whammy, but a TRIPLE whammy of super big sad moodlets that Gunther was hit by.

I actually had to check if death by depression was a thing (its not, phew) because Gunther was so terribly sad and crying everywhere.

After much mulling, Gunther decided that what he needed was a fresh start. The house reminded him too much of Marcus and was affecting his mood, so he needed a change of scenery.

Gunther: "I think I'll move back to my hometown, Windenburg. I know the place well, and it's nice and quiet there."
Sounds like a plan. I think the fresh air will do you good. Windenburg sounds like the perfect place for you to recuperate.

Living alone can be a rather lonely endeavour, especially after the death of a loved one.
Rather than wallow in sadness, Gunther felt that perhaps having a child he could give love to would give him new perspective and help him heal.
So he set about adopting a young girl.

Meet Hailee Flex-Munch!

She's a PERFECTIONIST with ARTISTIC PRODIGY aspiration.
She had pre-rolled monster CC eyes so I gave her a make-over in CAS. I kept her eyes blue though, just without the black scleras. She's a beautiful girl.

After saying their goodbyes to the Jin household, Gunther & Hailee packed up and moved out to their new house.
It's a quaint little cottage of sorts located on a small plot of land on Windenburg Island.

To liven up the place, they've also adopted an Ainu dog. They've named him Snowy.
I won't be playing them anymore moving forth, but I do hope to see them up and about town and moving on with life.

Author's Note:
Down to 6 household members. Still a lot, but anything lesser than 8 should be easier to manage! ><

@BallerinaHippo It was so unexpected! On the bright side though, I guess that checks one death type off the list? Makin' lemonade out of lemons yeah?
I think I'll make the whole 'setting up' thingy for any future family members I move out in the future. I can't bear just 'throwing' them out. Even if I don't play them anymore, it'll be nice to visit every now and then. :)

1.11 — Birthdays Galore

1.11 — Birthdays Galore

The time for the twins to age up has finally arrived! And of course, they celebrate their shared birthday together. :3

It was exciting to see the tots finally grow up, though the excitement was tempered some by the ridiculous amounts of glitching in-game. ( I might've invited too many people... )
We barely managed a gold medal, and it was a rather stressful endeavour.

Regardless, looked who showed up!
Hailee was the only other kid attending the birthday party ( Jia was at school ) and the trio had a blast together.
I think I see a life long friendship in the future!

Chen and Feng aging up to kids means they can now officially move into their new shared room.
It also means they're finally old enough to join the family's legacy club – Golden Age!
The club has been building itself up slowly since the start of the legacy and now has all those tasty perks that help them breeze through their homework, easy peasy.

Such handy things clubs are!

Club perks aside, the twins were in need of a make-over!
I couldn't do it immediately after they aged up because of all the glitching
( and also because everybody in the household needed to be present on the lot – Jia was at school; Rachid/Seiji at work – before entering CAS or they'll glitch too ),
but once everything settled, it was the first thing I got about doing.

Here's their made-up wardrobe!

Chen's a sharp dresser with a penchant for darker colours (mostly black).
He rolled the WHIZ KID aspiration and the LONER trait, and it looks like he'll be spending most of his time experimenting with chemistry set.

Chen: "The black will help hide any weird stains!"

As for Feng, she rolled the ARTISTIC PRODIGY aspiration and the PERFECTIONIST trait, taking after mother.
She has a little more girly of a style as compared to her older sister, Jia.

Feng dives right into doodling in mum's art room.

While Jia helps Chen with his Whiz Kid aspiration.
Jia is somewhat thrilled to have someone to boss around and act all 'grown up' and smart around. Chen, being the mild mannered child he is, takes it all in stride.

Jia: "Haha! Let big sister show you how it's done!"
Chen: "Wouldn't this be a better move though?"
Jia: "What are you talking about? Of course no— oh wait. Actually that's not a bad move at all. You're uh, pretty good huh?"
Chen: "You are a good teacher."
Jia: *grinning* "I am aren't I? Hey! Lemme show you my special move! I beat mum once with this!!"

I'm thinking Jia has taken quite a liking to her younger brother. 😏

Jia's affections might be a tad bit one sided though.
Because when not studying the ways of chess with Jia, Chen much prefers playing on his own. He quite likes playing Doctor.

So Chen, you want to be a doctor when you grow up?
Chen: "It's kind of fun. Treating people. And the white coats doctors wear are so cool, don't you think so?"
*mutters under breath* Actually I'd much rather you be a Scientist... the family needs a Scientist.
Chen: "Huh? Did you say something Watcher?"
Oh! Nothing! But er, don't scientist wear white coats too? They look just as smart and cool as doctors don't you think?
Chen: "I... guess so? But doctors get to use all those fancy, complex equipment! I want to try doing that when I grow up!!"
Scientist have cool equipment too! You should see the stuff they use!

*rubs hands* There's still time to subtly steer Chen's subconscious towards a career in science through suggestion.
The family could do with a cloning machine... think of all those satisfaction points that could be saved on cloned emotion potions!!

The twins can certainly be a handful at times. Their first night as kids, they woke up hollering about the monster under their bed about 30 minutes after being put to bed.
Jia had her fair share of 'monster-under-the-bed' shenanigans, but somehow it felt more chaotic with the twins.
Maybe it's because they share a room, but they woke up simultaneously and started freaking out together and making a huge commotion in their room.

Feng ran to get Ying. Meanwhile... Chen being a practical, logical boy tried to negotiate with the monster under his bed. It was rather cute.

Chen: "Mr. Monster, I propose to you a deal. If I leave food for you down there in the morning, will you promise not to ever come out at night? I'm a growing boy and I need to sleep well."

After a little adult intervention – aka spraying the monster – the kids finally settled down and went to bed.
Phew, all in a night's work!

The family threw another birthday party a few days later; Coincidentally, Rachid's and Seiji's b-day fell on the same day so they had a joint celebration.
Everyone was pretty burnt out from the twin's big birthday bash a few days earlier, so their party was a small event.

With Ying out for work and the kiddos away at school, it was pretty much a guy's night out! Fun times. 😎

And thus, the dudes of the household age up to adults.
Derpy faces and all! I espcially loved Rachid's confused face during his age up animation. Heh.

Rachid: "I think I saw my life flash before my eyes."

Cue bonding time over cake. Also...

Hailee! What are you doing here? You're skipping school??
Hailee: "I'm not skipping! Just... taking a day off to celebrate uncles' birthdays."
Guther! You let her skip school?
Guther: "Well— Ah! Rachid, Seiji. Done with your cakes? Me too. I'll go clean up the dishes. Shouldn't let the birthday boys do dishes on their day eh?"

In other news, Seiji finally completed his FABULOUSLY WEALTHY aspiration. Gah! I never realised how hard earning money was. So glad to have it done with.

That means that Seiji could finally get to working on Bodybuilder for that Long Lived trait.
And since he's been working out with Rachid as his mentor for a long time now, he easily tore through all the mini-milestones. Lovely!
Seiji also looks pretty good all bulked up. 😏😏😏

Also, look who else popped by the family's gym. A fitness nut even in death eh, Marcus?
You'd think he would've learnt. But well, it's not like he can die twice.

Author's Note:
Update(s) have been pretty irregular and I'm really sorry about that. ><
School is starting up in a month for me and since I'll be going on exchange next semester, stuff has been a little hectic.
Gameplay is a little bit ahead, but I haven't been able to downsize screenshots and compile them into posts.
I can't make any promises, but I'll try to shorten the wait time between updates!

It's cute that Hailee was the only kid that got to participate in the "guys night" birthday party.  And it's nice to see that Gunther and Hailee are still a part of the group.

Did Chen make any progress with befriending the Monster Under the Bed?  I've never had that interaction be successful.  I'm wondering how many times a kid has to talk to the monster before they are friends.

@BallerinaHippo I can't bear to just cut them entirely out of the family's life so we invite them over regularly. Hailee also hangs out with the kiddos loads! I see a life-long friendship in the works! :3

Thus far, Chen hasn't made any progress befriending the monster I'm afraid. I'm not sure if it's for lack of trying or because of mods though. Cause Chen's bed is a CC furniture and you can never be certain about whether these things affect interactions. The monster tentacles actually don't show in-game for his bed cause it's a CC so it looks kinda weird in that he looks like he's talking to nothing.

Got all caught up!  It's been a while, I know.  Good luck with school and your exchange!

1.12 — Childhood Shenanigans
« Reply #47 on: September 08, 2018, 10:54:59 AM »
(You can read this post on Wordpress HERE)

1.12 — Childhood Shenanigans

The kiddos are just where we left them off, working towards their childhood aspirations. Look at their matching 'pondering' expressions!
Definitely twins those two! It does get a chuckle out of me though, how Chen looks so picture perfect whereas Feng just went full derp.

It's a lot easier this time round thanks to the legacy club boosts!
That, and the fact that I might be neglecting the adults in the family a bit at the moment in favour for raising the kiddos.

Seiji: *mumbling* "Not that we mind..."
Rachid: "Yeah, Watcher's a bit of a slave driver."
Seiji: "I love having so much time to do nothing. Heh."
Huh? What was that you guys were saying?
Seiji, Rachid: "Nothing!"

Feng finished her (Artistic Prodigy) aspiration ahead of her brother and decided to tackle the Social Butterfly aspiration next, and my is she quite the butterfly!

Look at her getting all chummy with Marcus. Feng is also quite the Little Miss Popular!

She gets called up by her classmates pretty often to *gasp* play hookie! Which she just as often agrees too.
Occasionally, Hailee is an instigator which honestly isn't that surprising seeing how Gunther seems to be pretty relaxed as a disciplinarian – letting her skip school for a birthday and all that jazz.

If your mum knew what you were up to during school ho—
Feng: "But she won't! Will she Watcher?"
And how do you know that? She's an all-seeing woman, you know that.
Feng: "Yeah, but she'll only know if you tell her. And you won't tell her, right Watcher?"
What makes you so sure I won't tell her huh?
Feng: "I mean, I'm a potential heir right?"
Right, but—
Feng: "I need to network... make connections! Friends! It'll be great for when selection day comes! And the satisfaction points Watcher! It's all for the good of our family right?"
Where in the world did you pick up such mature vocabulary?!? And are you trying to psycho me? The WATCHER? ME?!
Feng: "But I'm right aren't I? And oh, Chen taught me heheheh ~"
Urgh. Chen. I need to have a talk with him...

Feng's sociability doesn't stop there though. Since she needs a ton of friends/relationships for the social butterfly aspiration,
she organises quite a number of impromptu play dates/outings for her classmates every now and then.

Of course, no one would skip out on a play date initiated by the Queen Bee of the class.

Big outings with tons of people isn't really up Chen's alley, but Feng can be quite a overbearing sister.
Chen himself has a hard time saying no to her so he finds himself being dragged along most times.
Being a loner by nature though, he always takes the first opportunity he gets to sneak away. He much prefers playing on his own.

Kristie Montalvo's – daughter of Travis Scott (and some randomly generated Sim) – a friendly girl and tries socializing with Chen. And he doesn't actually mind.
Two is company but three's a crowd eh?

But well, it looks like Chen's ability to socialise might be a hit-or-miss depending on the situation.
Because promptly after starting a convo with Hailee, he proceeded to somehow simultaneously bore her while embarrassing himself.

It's okay kiddo, you've still got time to practise.
Feng: "And you still got me!"

However awkward Chen might be, at least he's still got his little sister looking out for him.
They're best friends now! ( Yay, one step closer to the Social Butter Aspiration! )
Also, did I mention that they've both joined the Scouts? I couldn't wait for for the Seasons pack to go on sale so I finally got it and am having a blast, and so are the kiddos. :3

While the kids are experiencing the ups and downs of childhood, Jia has finally aged up!

Boy, do I love those doepy faces they make when blowing out the candles.

The aging up animation always gives me a chuckle one way or another. Look at all that sass! Her hair is amazing, and she's absolutely keeping that haircut. I love it on her! But the rest of her wardrobe? Definitely needs a make-over. Jia really does takes after her father, Rachid though. She has his lips, and looks nothing like her mother.

Her teen trait is SELF-ASSURED and rolled the ARCHAEOLOGY SCHOLAR aspiration. Interesting.

And here's out tomboy all grown up and looking rad in her favourite colour, purple.
Did I mention how much I love her hair? I really, really love her hair. 😍

In any case, she's got some active teen years ahead of her!
Jia wastes no time in hitting the shelves for an "Introduction to Archaeology" and hunting down a part-time job as a Retail Employee.
With the headstart skills she's gotten as a tot / kid, she easily advances to the top in a matter of days. Woot ~

To round off this post, I'm just gonna brag about finally completing one collection (even though it was probably the easiest one to complete... heh, heh).
At last! Pretty postcards for the study! Lovely!

Author's Note:
It's been... a month? Two months? Since my last update? 😬
Really sorry about how slow things are ><
I've finally settled(?) / am settling down in my exchange university and maybe, just maybe updates will get better? Hopefully? But aye ~ I plan to focus a little more on Jia in the next update since she got so little screen time here. The teen years are definitely much more interesting than the kiddie years. So stay tuned! ^^

Chen and Feng are both so beautiful! Oh, but adorable Chen is ineligible to become an heir. *sniffle, sniffle
Haha, got confused about Tia and had to skim through the earlier chapters. Risky woohoo, lol.

Congrats on your first of many collections!

Oh, those kids are just awesome!  I love Feng hehehe, and poor Chen XD I understand entirely what it's like to have an outgoing sister and be the loner of the family lol.  Wow, Jia's hair is just amazing! Congrats on the collection!  Collecting and I are- eh lol so I know what an accomplishment completing one is ^^
@Shewolf13 The twins are joined at the hip! In my head, Feng just loves dragging Chen around everywhere because "I need hiimmm. Emootionall supportt." Then proceeds to get lost in her crowd of friends while Chen just sits around awkwardly twiddling his thumbs. He's just too nice so he lets Feng have her way haha ~

@oshizu Chen IS adorable. Something about his awkwardness is so endearing to me ><
Somewhat regretting my whole 'matriarch' rule now ;; Maybe I should've gone down the equality route.
Is it cheating if I change the rules now? Haha ~ (NO. MUST RESIST.)

I use so many mods it's hard to keep track of them  :-\
But hey! Stuff like that keeps things interesting eh?  ;)
Just gotta make sure to take birth control if we really don't want a surprise baby.
That is, if I don't forget like I did the last time. Whoops!

1.13 — Adventure Time!

(You can read this post on Wordpress HERE)

1.13 — Adventure Time!

Jia's got an aspiration to work towards so come Friday, she takes a little weekend trip to Selvadorada. With some adult (Rachid) supervision of course. ;)

Jia: "I don't need adult supervision, urgh. I'm like. Almost an adult already."
Nope. Watcher's word is law. You need adult supervision.
Jia: "You're just being a slave driver! I betcha you don't care about adult supervision! You just want Uncle 'chid to fish for satisfaction points!"
That's not true!
Jia: "Oh yeah, then why's it I haven't seen him at all since we've arrived? Where's my adult supervision?"
He's... dealing with immigration! Be grateful he's handling all the boring, admin adult stuff ya brat!

For all her grumblings over 'adult supervision' though, Jia still has a blast socialising with the Selvadorian natives.
Here she is chatting up a rather dashing, Facundo Molina.

Jia: "Nice sunglasses!'
Facundo: "Thanks!"

Facundo isn't the only looker out there in Selvadorada though... Heck! Almost all (pretty much all) the Selvadorians we encountered we GORGEOUS. I mean, look at 'em!

Jia! Go make friends with them! All of them! Hurry!
Jia: "Your enthusiasm is scaring me Watcher..."
Hush. We only have 2 days here. We gotta get those pretty genes incorporated into the family bloodline! Go network kiddo! No time to waste!

Once Jia's gotten all their numbers, she heads out into the wild for some adventuring. No relics, no archaeology.
So it's time to get chopping!

Goal chasing aside, I just wanna say, Selvadorada is a very pretty looking world. I mean, look at this lovely screenshot! Breathtaking. Who needs to travel when you can live vicariously through Sims?

Jia being Jia, throws all caution in the wind and dives in head first into all the challenges the jungle tosses her way... which unsurprisingly, leads to a mishap or two every now and then. Not that it puts her off. Girl actually seems to enjoy getting roasted by traps.

*cough* Weirdo *cough*

Near death experiences aside, Jia's been getting along rather well with Danna Jiménez. Network away kiddo! More beautiful sims are always appreciated!

Jia: "Hmmm.... I wonder what this spherical object is supposed to be..."
What are you talking about? It's clearly a skull-shaped sculpture! You don't need a magnifying glass to tell that!
Jia: "Shhhh! Watcher! Archaeology is delicate work! How can you be sure it's a skull huh?"
Urgh.

Jia's going through her 'know-it-all' phase. (Despite hardly knowing what she's doing.)
That archaeology aspiration's gonna take a while to complete.

In the adult's side-story, Seiji has started working on his handiness skill now that he's maxed out his Tech Guru career and Bodybuilder aspiration. He's working towards the Nerd Brain aspiration now ; And almost kills himself in the process.

Seiji: "I– I think I left a screw loose."
You think?

Ambitious pet projects aren't the only thing Seiji's been working on though.
With Ying's birthday around the corner and Seiji decided a romantic night out with just the two of them was in order.

The two lovebirds are still very much in love. The honeymoon phase never ends when it comes to these two.
Ying: "Thanks for the treat honey."
Seiji: 😍

Cue the mandatory derp age-up birthday faces. Ying's now an adult! Whoop ~

Seiji-Ying's love story isn't the only happening thing nowadays.

Good old Rachid's living life to the fullest these days. Now that he's nearly maxed his Bodybuilder career, he spends his free time coaching Jia and picking up random hobbies he fancies ― mixology and guitar mostly.

But sometime a guy need more than just his hobbies eh?

So some nights, he heads out to the local pub for some drinks and socialising. Which is how he met Catarina Lynx, Brindleton Bay's resident cat lady.

And lets just say, they hit it off right off the bat.

Hubba hubba ~
Rachid woohooing reminds me I still have got that 'Risky Woohoo' mod sitting in my mod folders.
The chance of Catarina getting preggo is pretty slim but still, I do wonder...
Oh well, if it happens. It happens.

It still remains to be seen if Catarina and Rachid are more than just a one-night stand but aye ~ Rachid could do with a more intimate companion in his life now that Jia's all grown up and he doesn't have to babysit the girl.

Author’s Note:
I’ve been wanting to expand the family’s home. So the next update might take awhile since I take forever just deciding the type of wallpaper to use. But look forward to a bigger, better home! I think I’ll give the kiddos each their own rooms too!

1.1 — New Beginnings

 [ Invalid Attachment ]

 [ Invalid Attachment ]

 [ Invalid Attachment ]

In any case, Ying throws out a line and starts fishing. And she actually catches Tuna for her first catch that goes for a tasty $88!

How did you do that?!
Ying: “有志者,事竟成。Heh, heh. When there’s a will, there’s a way. But anyways, that’s 44% of my $200 debt. I think I’ll be able to pay it off in no time!!”

 [ Invalid Attachment ]

Ying must be a really lucky sim. Or maybe she’s just really good at fishing, because she catches a mid-tier fish that sells for around $20, and then ANOTHER tuna. I don’t know how she does it.

But after that her catches are lacklustre in comparison and eventually she decides to try her luck treasure hunting instead since the fish are no longer biting.

 [ Invalid Attachment ]

A few rocks later, Ying manages to gather up a couple of fossils and common metals that she sells off to clear up her $200 debt entirely, with a decent amount of extra simoleons to spare.

 [ Invalid Attachment ]

 [ Invalid Attachment ]

Whatever Ying might say though, Marcus is certainly a charmer. Look at how charmed Ying is by Marcus’s suave flirting!

 [ Invalid Attachment ]

In any case, the day goes by rather quickly. But yay! The purchase of the Knight suit has been made and the challege can now start proper.

Ying: “I wish the statue came in red. Silver’s rather basic, don’t you think?”
Don’t be ridiculous. A red suit of armour would look weird.

 [ Invalid Attachment ]

With the day coming to an end, Ying headed off to the Brindleton Bay’s Gym / Spa ( I placed one of those Spa-Gyms that came with Spa Day in the world since Brindleton didn’t have a gym ) to deal with her hygiene. She spent a whole day fishing and digging around in the dirt and most certainly smells funky. But she was so tired she went straight to the couch to nap instead.

The shower can wait.

 [ Invalid Attachment ]

The next day, after she’s decently rested, she takes a nice long thoughtful shower to freshen up before proceeding to job hunting on her mobile. She settles for a job as a Palette Cleaner. The job itself isn’t amazing or anything, but painting is a skill that brings in a lot of dough even when freelanced. So why not kill two birds with one stone? Besides, Ying hopes to memorialise her primary spouse in the future with a painting.

I love this first chapter so much! Yin is so pretty and has such a good sense of humor! I look forward to reading more <3

So happy that Yin is doing well! And ugh the dating game is so stressful--both in Sims AND IRL lol. Marcus makes a good dad in one of my saves, and actually a pretty good husband too despite the non-committal trait: you just have to "court" him for a while to make it happen XD

Ying and Seiji are as adorable as ever.  Rachid and Catarina make a cute couple, too.  It's nice to see Catarina get a cameo in a story (as something besides a crazy cat lady).

I agree that Jai needs supervision in Selvadorada.  You are too young and too pretty to go off on your own just yet, young lady.

Woohoo!

Awwww she had a baby! I am so happy for her! I always keep the risky option on along with other MCC tweaks--it adds some much needed plot twists to the game.

ohhh no. Poor Gunther. He and Marcus were so cute together T_T

1.13 — Adventure Time!

Jia's got an aspiration to work towards so come Friday, she takes a little weekend trip to Selvadorada. With some adult (Rachid) supervision of course. ;)

Awww Jia's grown up to be such a cutie. I love her spirit!

Just a little update to the few people who do read my legacy.
I'm really sorry about the slow pace of updates and for being gone for... almost 2 months. OTL
It's my exchange semester at an overseas university so I've been busying myself both academically and socially. And admittedly, when I do have time, I've been spending it playing other games in short bursts (when it comes to sims I like to get down and sink hours at a go).

I haven't lost interest in the legacy though! I can't wait to get back to them! I've renovated the house already (got the screenshots and all; post is even drafted) and *hint hint* the twins have aged up! I still need more content before I can get up another chapter though...

Also, Get Famous is out and so is the huuuggeee November patch. Personally, I use a ton of CC and mods (8GB and counting... I think) in my games so there's also a need for me to clean out my mods folder and that will take some time too. I think I might also wait a little for EA to patch out a few (pretty big) bugs first before diving fully back into the legacy. I really love the Jins and don't want to end up having to scrap them due to a corrupt save. ><

Thanks for you all who've been reading my legacy up till now, and once again, sorry for the slow pace of things. Hopefully I'll be able to get back to posting chapters soon though! By December! Gah! I have so much I want to do with the family.

1.14b — House Tour #2

I've been gone forever and tbh idk if anyone is still following the legacy but what the heck.
I miss my fam and wanna jump back after sorta abandoning them late last year dude to life in general lol ~ It'll take awhile for me to get back into the groove of things considering how much has change in terms of patches/content. Need to update my mods. Apparently some of the rules for the legacy challenge has changed to? So I need to check my spreadsheet and make updates. But in general I'm very excited to get back to playing the Jins.

I'll need to dust off my screenshot folders and get to arranging the next gameplay post (the twins have aged up!) as well as — most importantly — play them!
But for now, hope you guys enjoy the super duper late tour of the 2nd renovation of the legacy house. :)

Presenting... the second house tour! Ta-da ~
I've put it under spoilers so if you want to skip it it'll be easier.

The house looks absolutely beautiful! I look forward to knowing what happens next. Take your time though! My story sort of ended too after my game got corrupted and I had to restart the challenge, but now I have too update my game with all the mods too so I am just waiting for that. Have you played around with Strangerville?

@ShyLilSimmer Thank you! It's been awhile since I've played the Sims so there's so much I need to clean out in my mods folder. Pretty sure I spent more than an hour purging stuff lol
My condolences for your lost save game ;; Your writing style for the legacy was really enjoyable so I hope that you'll be able to get back into it when the time is right. :)
I haven't gotten Strangerville yet unfortunately. >< But it's probably a good thing since I still haven't gotten around to playing Get Famous much at all! Am waiting for an expansion pack to drop so I can bundle it together with a stuff pack for the sweet discount haha ~

1.14 — Twisty Plot Twists

1.14 — Twisty Plot Twists

Feng finally got her Social Butterfly aspiration done and dusted with! Whoop whoop ~! That aspiration is a real pain to complete. Yuck!
In any case, things are rolling forwards as per usual. With the lovely Watcher (moi!) being ever the slave driver.

Skills are important if your want to make it in life kiddos!
Kids: “Urgh”

It isn’t long before the twins’s birthday roll by and to celebrate, the whole family + Gunther & Hailee sit down for a celebratory feast.
The newly renovated dining room is perfect for the occasion!

So! So! How do you like the new furniture Ying!? Those chairs are great aren’t they? I got them for a steal at (CC)Ikea!
Ying: “Hmm… it’d be hard to wash stains out of the white fabric…”
Yeah bu—
Ying: “Don’t you think upholstered chairs might be a bit inappropriate as dining chairs? And white ones at that? I imagine they won’t be pretty looking for long.”
Oh come on. It can’t be that bad.
Ying: “You know how Jia is. Holes in her mouth that girl.” *sighs*
*mutters* What a Debbie Downer

Feng: “Hey hey! Chen! Let’s take a selfie before cutting the cake! ”
Chen: “Okay!”

*snap*

Feng: “Ouuuhhh ~ I look cute! This will make the perfect ‘gram!”
Chen: “H-huh? You’re going to post the photo?”
Feng: “Yeah? Why else would I take a pic?”
Chen: “Umm.. could you maybe uh— n-no—”
Feng: *raises eyebrow*
Chen: “Uh, nothing! Just uh, make me look good…. and don’t tag me.”

Wait a minute! Feng! Since when did you get an Instagram?!? Aren’t you… I don’t know? Too young for that??
Feng: “Uh, I’m a pre-teen. And I’m entering high school like, tomorrow. Literally. How can I not have an Instagram?”
You know what… Nevermind. Should have expected that from a kid like you.

Anyways, cake anyone?

Wow do you need a makeover Feng.
Chen: “…”
Not you sweetie, you’re good.

I also decided to age up Hailee at the same time because *slams fist* they’re childhood friends **it! It’d be weird if their ages are different across the board.
And just look at Hailee! Girl is as fabulous as Jia was when she aged up. Perfection.

In any case, MAKE OVER TIME.

Chen’s got a thing for sweaters and cardigans apparently. And black. And maybe a tad bit of shiny hair gel.

Looking good kiddo! Just. Don’t overdo it with the gel okay?
Chen: “I won’t! I just want to keep my hair out of my face, that’s all!”
I know, I know. I just don’t want you to look back on your youth and cringe. Like your father.
Chen: “Dad?”
*cackling* Oh yeah. I don’t think you’ve ever seen how your dad dressed before he met your mother eh?

Feng’s got her favourite colour too — pink! She’s a real fashionista that girl.

That dye job’s gonna be hard to maintain.
Feng: “Probably. But isn’t the ombre soooo pretty?!”
It is. How much did it cost though?
Feng: “Hmm, enough. Hey Watcher, does this blouse go with this skirt? Or should I ditch it for the skinnies?”
Dodging the ques— Huh? Oh, I— Hmm, I like the skinny jeans a bit more.”
Feng: “Hmm. Yeah. You’re absolutely right. I get the benefit of flaunting my booty while maintaining the illusion of modesty.”
Wait whut.

While I was at it, I decided to give Hailee a quick makeover too because why not? Buy 2 get 1 free eh?

The twins take after their mother. Specifically the lips. And the genetics is especially strong in Feng. She’s practically a spitting image of Ying!
For traits, Chen rolled the GENIUS trait, which is actually quite fitting. While Feng rolled… EVIL.
As for aspirations, Chen rolled the GOOD VAMPIRE aspiration while Feng rolled PUBLIC ENEMY.

Ohhhh booyyy.

Whatta twist! Looks like we’ll be getting a vampire in the family eh?
Feng’s aspiration is a good match with her trait. It looks like she’ll be going down the criminal route… which is honestly not something I had expected. But okay.

In any case, things are about to get real interesting with the up-and-coming Queen ** Bee of Brindleton Bay High entering the scene.
Just look at that exquisite side-eye!

As for Rachid, he’s decided that it’s time for him to move onto the next phase of his life.
All the kids are teens now, and he’s at the top of his career. He’s still too young to retire, but he wants to settle down properly after such a hectic youth.
And he thinks he can find this peaceful happiness with none other than Catarina Lynx. So he sets up a date to pop the question.

But wait what?!

That’s… quite a belly.
Rachid: “Oh. Wow. I guess it’s a good thing I planned to propose today anyways?”

Good thing indeed.
And Catarina is more than happy to accept. She’s been feeling a tad bit lonely herself since the passing of all of her cat babies.
But it looks like the couple will be welcoming a new baby sooner than later ;)

Rachid moves in with Catarina the following day and they elope there and then.

Catarina: “Dear, lets elope.”
Rachid: “Now??”
Catarina: “Yeah. Lets quickly make it official.”
Rachid: “Are you sure? Don’t you want a proper wedding or something? I’m pretty good at organizing stuff like that you know? I’ve done it twice already.”
Catarina: “Gosh. I don’t think I could bear a boring ceremony. Not to mention I doubt I’d fit into a dress with this stomach.
Beside, we’ve got more important things to deal with! I’ve been wanting to talk to you adopting some kitten… are you free to drop by the shelter with me today?”
Rachid: “Well… if it’s okay with you. It’s okay with me. And sure, I’d love to go kitty hunting with you right after!”

Looks like there’s going to be an abundance of furbabies in the duo’s future. (☞゚ヮ゚)☞

Author’s Note:
I won’t be playing Rachid any more from now onward. He’s finally free from the Watcher’s slave driving ways haha ~
That aside, now that the 2nd gen are all teens at last, the focus is going to shift from their parents to them so lets see how that goes :3

Awesome house!  I love how all the teens turned out.  Generation 2 will certainly be interesting.  Looking forward to it!
