Hello,

I'd like to keep a small journal of my other Sim family here on the forum - the Andrews from Sunset Valley consisting of Beau and Victoria and their two children, Belle and Briar. Victoria has spent a lot of time in Egypt getting her VISA to level 3 and purchasing a vacation home. She is level 9 in the journalist career. Beau has been a stay-at-home dad taking care of the children when they were too young to travel. The family used to have a cuckatoo that had fully learned to talk, but it suddenly up and vanished from my game. Here's a breakdown of the four. It's good for me to keep track of these things. Beau and Victoria are not quite the same as they were originally. The family lives in Twinbrook now where I put their Sunset Valley house in an empty lot on the address: 21 Sweetwater Loop. It's the second time they moved to this town. The first time, I couldn't get settled probably because it was a different house. They went back to Sunset Valley and lived there a while, before recently returning to Twinbrook for another round. As you can possibly tell, I'm a little obsessed with Al Simhara these days

This cuckatoo was named Coco and she was Victoria's bff. It left Belle with some concern though. "Mom, I'm here too..."

Coco was over-taught and Victoria's summer tattoo wouldn't come off. It stuck for two Sim weeks until she had another which disappared normally.

February 23
No matter what them over at NRaas say, my game runs like butter with just two expansion packs enabled and no NRaas mods installed, but is hacking and coughing with all packs enabled and NRaas mods installed. End of discussion. I had the Andrews go to Egypt on a family vacation, but had to cut it very short and have them go back home, because my game ended up being unplayable. So, now I have disabled all CC, removed all mods and enabled only Ambitions and World Adventures. It's like a dream come true. Smooth sailing, smooth sailing.

Unfortunately, it means that Coco the 2nd no longer exists. But, Victoria is still a Star News Anchor - yep, she finally made it to the top and completed her LTW.

I'm enjoying your game thread on the Andrews family so far!

I like how you changed Beau's lifetime wish. Gold digger always struck me as too evil for him. He may be lazy and not want to work, but according to his bio, he loves Victoria. I can't see him wanting her dead.  He just wants someone else to support him while he loafs around on the couch watching TV, which may not make him seem like much of a prize, but a far cry from murder-your-spouse or wish-them-dead awful.

Speaking of evil, Victoria being friendly with Vita was amusing. Vita is supposed to be charming, though, and good at fooling people, so maybe Victoria just hasn't seen her dark side yet. 

Their kids are cute and I love the mummy and the sims' reactions to him.

Glad your game is running better.  I feel your pain on how the game chokes up on too many expansions and packs.  I run them all, and a ton of store content and mods, and a new game in a neighborhood will run all right, but some of my older saves are very twitchy and prone to crashing.  It sounds like you've got a good balance for yours, so hopefully your save will behave as long as you want to play it!

I must be getting old and/or a bigger slave to habit than I thought. The frustration of not knowing where things spawn in Twinbrook made me move the Andrews back to Sunset Valley, where I know the location of everything and everyone. And I missed the bird, so I installed pets again. And everything else in fact. I don't seem to handle certain changes very well. *Blush*

Since Victoria received her final big promotion to Star News Anchor, I have been wanting to have her try something else. She is an ambitious type and very skilled at several things. Writing, for instance. I have never played much around with Ambitions features, so I decided to register her as a self-employed writer. Having spent so much of her time in Egypt, I figured that she must be able to write tons of books inspired by Al Simhara. Here she is working on one such book surrounded by her beloved and dutiful children.

Need any help, Briar? By they way, the stereo just out of sight is always playing egyptian music, so every time anyone is in this dining area, they are bobbing to the rhythms of their favorite music.

Getting a job at the mausoleum to help support the kind Andrews family. Have to stay in the cemetary though - too slow on my ancient feet to make it to the carpool in time.

Victoria went on a trip to Shang Simla to get hold of Pangu's legendary boulder-crushing axe. Took up a new hobby while there - martial arts.

Turns out that she has the talent for it, as a local learned here.

Fast forwarding some. Victoria in her black belt. And the wings...well, she actually went to Aleister's to get an age-up elixir for Belle, but the store was out of stock. On her way out, she eyed a different potion and I couldn't help but have her try it. She has a kind heart, so it could fit her to become a fae. And so she became one, and now she is a Queen of Fae to boot.

My precious Victoria has now fully maxed out her Painting and Writing, meaning she has completed all of the associated skill journal challenges. Whew! Her last book was a best-seller, and her last painting was a masterpiece

I have decided to go back to basics with the family with only World Adventures installed and no stuff packs. It provides a certain peace and quiet that I always seem to end up yearning after.
