April 1 - Unforseen Events (A bit of storytelling)Moving Larmir in with Apollo, Kassie, and Nebula set in motion a chain of unforseen events. Because, in my universe/simverse, Apollo has always been a dog that barks both ways. And Larmir, in all his charming wolfiness, unintentionally opened up a box full of old memories from a different time. Memories that had been nicely tucked away for a long while. Apollo (read I, perhaps) tried really hard to ignore these memories of a past long gone, but eventually, they were all he could think of, and he was left both frustrated and afraid.
Then what about Larmir? Recently divorced, newly wed, and second child just born from the sweetest and prettiest girl ever. Well, he was feeling good, of course - happy. He did, however, notice the change in his much older father-in-law. Afterall, he grew up with two dads and is plainly aware that this is simply a thing sometimes. Most of all, he was probably flattered, since I play him as the kind of guy to be full of himself, but in a humoristic, warm and good way!
But he and Apollo are very different from one another. Larmir did possibly not think when he should have, while Apollo's judgement likely was clouded by aforementioned old memories. There came a time where a critical moment decided whether or not a particular line was to be crossed or not.
And it was crossed. And after a while, it was learned of by all the wrong people.
But to be fair, this is not the whole story, because I forgot about something rather important when Larmir and Nebula was married. I...um, forgot that she was already pursuing a relationship with someone else. Don't say anything, I have been rolling my eyes time and again over this. How could I forget? But it also left me a sort of opening. An escape route. Nebula was actually well on her way to become Mrs. Ayden Van Gould. They
so hit it off, being highly compatible in nearly every single aspect. Plus, it had a bit of a chilling and dramatic element, that I appreciated.
So, when tender Nebula found out about her husband and beloved father, she up and disappeared into the night. Even being a coward, but she seemed to know precisely where to run. Soon after, it was all over the news that old Ayden, residing master vampire, had taken a very young bride by the "dreamy name of Nebula".
Left was Larmir with their daughter, Stella, and Apollo's family situation in disarray. Because naturally, Kassie was now also aware of what had transpired behind her back. Apollo felt beaten. Aside from the whole thing making everyone he loved miserable, he couldn't very well change what he was. Building a family with Kassie was something he in no way had any regrets about. But if you suppress a part of yourself long enough, it has a way of re-surfacing sooner or later, and it is usually very inconvenient when it happens.
Fortunately, Apollo and Kassie are the best of friends. Kassie decided to give Apollo some space and to be just that - the best of friends. With five grown kids, grandkids, and a good home and life in general, she felt somewhat okay with taking a step back. Of course, it didn't all happen at once. But in the end, Apollo perked up and moved into a smaller home with Larmir and Stella, re-living the days of his youth. Stella doesn't comprehend much of what happened and has decided to shrug it all off until a need for further contemplation perhaps arises some day. She is a teen now. She misses her mom, though, but Nebula has not been heard from or seen since the day she ran away from home. Into the arms of an old vampire. Hmm...maybe she is a vampire herself now? Who knows.
Okay, stepping outside the scene of drama for a moment.
Oliver Bloom has paired up with Sally...Bloom! Calliope has moved back in with Hankman and Louie-son. Um, Louie has had some technical difficulties relating to his wolf form. It bugged completely at some point, but I didn't have a cure on hand. I had a fairy potion though and threw it on him. This made things worse. He retained his werewolf form and could not change back. In addition, he had pink fairy wings. So, a fairy alright - but with underbite, big teeth, black claws and a monstrously hairy body and face...I ended up resetting him in CAS. He is just a human for now, but a non-glitchy one at least.
Kassie is living quietly with Aleister and Luna. Moonlight Falls is ripe with new generations who have come of age.
