Introduction

Our Watcher was not ready to let us go after she unexpectedly lost our save. So, here we are again, back to being young adults and starting from scratch once again. We are not identical to our previous incarnations, but we hope you will still enjoy the read. - Larry & Miraj

This is our house. It's the Stately Starter located at 31 Lupine Lane. It suits our needs at the moment, as we are both busy working on our lifetime wishes. The Watcher does intend to rebuild our "old" home in the near future. But we are trying to take one step at a time here, for everyone's sake.

This is us. Miraj lived alone for just short of two weeks, before the Watcher moved in Larry. We became best friends thanks to an elixir, but have added in a little romance as well. Miraj is a little beefed up, as his job requires him to stay in shape. How do you like his long hair? Larry is his usual inappropriate self. The Watcher decided she liked seeing him in his sleep wear always. Also, he was cured of Lycanthropy before it could cause him the annoying sleep bug. Now, Larry can finally sleep like everyone else. Except werewolves.

May 1 - Atomic Age in Lucky Palms

We are in dire need of sunshine and happiness after all that depressing business about the lost save. So, we have moved to Lucky Palms in the desert known for its wishing well and casinos - fun! We have also gotten married and tried for baby, which was possible thanks to a mod. Oh, and our Watcher has gifted us the Atomic Age Living & Dining set from the store. It totally suits the desert environment!

Our "old" home in Lucky Springs where the sun is setting with the big casino a stone's throw away. We live next door to Darren Dreamer, and our Watcher placed the elixir consignment store just up the road. Larry is immensely grateful for this. Oh, right! Larry has completed his lifetime wish of becoming an Alchemy Artisan.

Miraj is the soft and romantic type, while Larry is usually quite the opposite. So, Miraj makes sure to be affectionate for two.

We just tried for baby and the jingle played. It's going to be interesting to see if Miraj's body becomes invisible again and is reduced to feet and a floating head.

Skinny dipping in the sunset is a nice way to end one's wedding day. It was just a small private wedding, since we don't really know anyone in town yet.

May 1 - Waiting for Nooboos

It would seem that our Watcher can't get the mod to work, so we might end up resolving to having our kids engineered instead, as usual. In the meantime, a few more pictures.

We discovered that this pet feeding station could be upgraded. Larry is the guy for that job. He has completed the Plumber handiness challenge, which means he has repaired our main toilet a lot.

Had to try out the fiddle from the store. It requires no practice at all to play like a pro, apparently.

May 1 - Into The Future

Well, the people at the hospital had apparently forgotten the technique used to engineer babies, so we ended up having to call on Emit Relevart, the time traveler. Because our nooboo was in the future now, and not around the corner as we had thought.

Emit gave us a new Almanac of Time when he arrived. Miraj needed to get re-acquainted with its features. It's fancy stuff, you know.

During the few minutes it took Miraj to collect Emit's five power cells, Larry had already managed to make himself unpopular. No real surprise, though.

Miraj: Um, please excuse my husband, Emit...here are your power cells.
Emit Relevart: Hmph.

Miraj: Was that really necessary, Larry?
Larry: Yeah. Had to make sure he didn't get any ideas.
Miraj: ...ideas?

Larry: You're mine, you know.

Larry: Can't have some freaky time traveler steal away with you, now can I?

Larry: Remember when I did this the first time in Moonlight Falls?

Larry was surprisingly lovable all of a sudden and kept showering Miraj with affection.

Emit brought us up to speed and asked for a little assistance with a few things as per usual.

As it was nothing urgent, Miraj and Larry hurried off to the hospital to get the nooboo under way.

After several hours, a proud father carried his newborn son to the car where his spouse was holding the door, eagerly waiting for them to get home and enjoy their third time of parenthood.

May 2 - Surprise!

After having tinkered with NRaas mods all day and asking for assistance on their forum, in between dozing off due to heavy amounts of antihistamine, our Watcher was finally able to make male pregnancy work.

Larry: Heck, yeah.

That time, it didn't work out either, though. But the try was nice at least.

Little Brent has an entire 6 days of nooboodom. Larry gets up at night to care for him, since Miraj has work.

Bug keeps having bad dreams about clowns according to his dream bubbles. Should we be worried?

This incarnation of Larry is a bit different from the previous for some reason. He seems nicer even though the Watcher hasn't tampered with his traits.

This is a side effect of having the dynamic avoidance values set to zero. Larry can't give Bug a much needed flea bath, because Bug doesn't realize he's stuck in Larry's leg.

They sorted it out eventually, however.

Super cute Miraj is watching TV while holding little Brent. Miraj is almost at level 8 in his career. Donovan Steel is his trusty partner.

Little Brent pulling his daddy's gorgeous long hair. Miraj is so into his kid that he actually disturbs his sleep in order to snuggle or play with him.

Finally! Larry is sick from unknown causes and vomits at 6am, 12pm, and 6pm.

24 hours after we tried for baby, the announcement plays. Larry is expecting - no, WE are expecting!

Larry: We are having a teddy bear, Miraj!
Miraj: A teddy? A teddy! Yay!!

Miraj: We're going to be real dads!
Larry: Yes, because Brent doesn't count...

Watcher:
Brent in his crib: Dad? Other dad? Anyone? I could really use a bottle around now.

May 3

Larry fortunately didn't gain any excessive weight during the pregnancy and felt the whole thing was a nice experience, contrary to if an alien had been placed inside him.

Larry: I'm still hot-headed, Watcher. Don't go thinking I've totally mellowed out.
Watcher: *cringes*

These butterflies have a story, actually. The Watcher forgot to debug the lot when placing the elixir shop a second time, meaning the spawners doubled - even tripled in some spots. Suddenly, the shop itself was hard to see due to clusters of fluttering butterflies.

Even in his deepest sleep, Miraj felt the love when Larry cuddled up to him. How sweet is that?

It's a special experience to slowdance with your very pregnant husband.

Especially, when he goes into labor in the middle of it. All Miraj could think of doing was to panic.

We got Larry some paternity clothes early on to prevent his body from becoming invisible. Looks like the morph mod is doing its job well.

The next morning was a little foggy.

And it was Brent's toddler birthday. He seems to take after both Larry and Miraj. He is five days older than little sis.

May 28 - Hello, Sunset Valley!

So, I decided to play via Steam instead of Origin which means a few things (like a ton) will be missing until I re-acquire them - the Lucky Palms world, for instance, and Larry's hairstyles. I took the original Alvi family out of a new Sunset Valley save and placed Larry and Miraj along with their two kids and house. They are located by the beach one house away from Gobias Koffi and toward Thornton and Morgana Wolff. I guess I could have kept VJ and Iqbal around - I might add them later as aged up versions to align them with Miraj's age.

Yumi Sekemoto came by to welcome my two boys, and it went pretty much as expected with high free will enabled. By the end of the day, Miraj had almost reached friendship status with her thanks to his good nature, while Larry had made himself heavily disliked. In all fairness, though, Yumi started the animosity by being inappropriate with Larry first. I hope she is wiser now after having been slapped three times and fought once... *Facepalms*

Taking one's annoyances out on Larry is a bad, bad idea. And it doesn't matter if you are an elderly woman.

As Larry is demonstrating here. By the way, I had to replace his Gatherer trait with something basegame - I chose Loves The Outdoors which I feel is spot-on.

But whatever can be said about Larry's social ineptitude, he luuuvs his kids. Especially little Hazel whom he bore during pregnancy. He is there like a flash of lightning whenever her needs are low, putting even family-oriented Miraj to shame.

At the end of the day, Miraj dearly loves his troublesome spouse. And Larry apparently enjoyed being pregnant, because he wants to have a child again, as does Miraj. I love my little Sims <3
