Grow as You Go Farmacy - The Story of Evie Nirel
« on: July 16, 2019, 11:47:40 PM »
Hi, it's been a little bit since I came in here. I was browsing over at MTS and found this challenge. Here is the link: http://www.modthesims.info/fd.php?f=564&tc=Legacy

For anybody else who has trouble going to the link, here are the rules:

To Begin:

-In CAS, build a YA, any gender. Give them any appearance and traits you like, but try to stay away from skill traits like Handy and Green Thumb. Later generations can have those, but your first sim lived in a big city and didn't know they would be stuck on a farm after all.
-Start off with the biggest lot you can find in your particular town. Appaloosa Plains is a great one for this challenge, but any town will do as long as it has a huge lot.
-Build a small farmhouse, with just two bedrooms, a tiny living area, a small bathroom, and a kitchen. Make it as rundown looking as you can manage, with bad wallpaper/paint, ugly furniture, you name it. ONLY the worst appliances to begin with. You MUST have only a clothesline in the beginning, no dryer, but you DO have to have laundry on the lot. Cover the lot in weeds and rocks if you like.
-Once your done with your ugly masterpiece, lower the household funds to 500 simoleons (NRAAS Master Controller is a great mod for this).
-Start farming! Gain seeds from anywhere, either planting what's in the fridge, seeds found, or produce from the supermarket.

Rules:

-The obvious, NO CHEATS unless you glitch out of course.
-Normal Lifespan
-No Inheritance/No Bills Ever/Young Again/Age Freeze lifetime rewards.
-You can ONLY make money by farming, no professions or real job (gardening career is fine). Sell all your produce and goods to the consignment shop or supermarket, no dragging and dropping from your inventory. Nectar, crops, eggs, beeswax, honey, anything you make on your farm is free game. No painting, sculpting, inventing, those sorts of things. You have too many chores to depend on that nonsense. Horse competitions are also fine.
-Build ONLY TWO expansions each generation (in detail farther down). The first generation can build any, but a garden of some sort is needed.
-Marry a cute townie! (If you hate all the townies, move in a cute sim of your choosing. I'm not judging you, but remember it's more fun the more challenging it is). If they have kids/pets, they don't count towards expansions/heirs. Keep the puppy/kitty for free!
-Have at least 3 children each generation, the heir can be chosen as you wish. Make them help on the farm and with chores, but they still need to do relatively well in school. Only one will stay on the farm after all. Traits can be randomized or chosen.
-You MUST use the Clothes Line in Spring and Summer, swapping to the dryer in cold months.
-You can go to University, but not on trips.
-The challenge ends when you feel like it, but try to make it to at least 10 generations.

The Expansions:

-Herb Garden for University Herbs (can be small, but at least five must be growing)
-Vegetable Garden (only vegetable crops, at least five)
-Fruit Orchard (trees and crops count, at least five)
-Nectary Shed + Wine Cellar
-Barn (add horse stalls if you like)
-Memorial Garden for the Founding Sim and Spouse (includes their graves)
-A Stocked Pond
-An Expansion on the House (no more than two rooms, or expand pre-built rooms). Can be done more than once.
-Beekeeping Area (at least one hive)
-Horse Training Area
-Decorative Flower Garden
-Gazebo
-Wedding Grounds
-Wrap Around Front Porch (preferably when the house is to your liking)
-Adopt 2 cats/dogs or 1 cat and 1 dog
-Be creative! Add whatever you think is necessary!

-Optional (if you have the Store Content)

-2 Chicken Coops
-A Cow Shed
-A Tractor Course
-A Berry Garden
-A Greenhouse (make sure to flat roof it before adding the greenhouse roofs to make it work properly)

Daily Chores:

-Tend to crops daily
-Tend to animals and hives daily
-Make Nectar once per week once you obtain the nectary shed
-Clean up the house (beds made, clothes washed, etc)

Here is the backstory:

When she lived in the city, Evie Nirel met up w/a guy of a pretty unsavory character, but she didn't know that at the time and fell head over heels in love w/him and went across the country w/him.

She did know that he was involved in some shady deals, but as they say, love is blind. When they landed in Aurora Skies, he just dumped her b/c her usefulness to him had ended. She was totally and completely devastated!
However, her mom and dad taught her that once she left home, she was on her own to sink or swim. She was determined to "swim." She had very little money, but w/what she did have, she went looking for a house to rent.

All she could find was a VERY rundown, ramshackle house w/weeds all over the place and a very run down building in back. It looked abandoned. She went to the bank to see if they knew anything about it and they did.

She begged them to give her a loan to buy the property. They relented b/c they were desperate to do something to get rid that property and if this young lady wanted it, she could have it. She promised that she would make installments for paying for it, little by little. She would fish and farm to earn her money.

She starts out w/0 simoleons b/c she spent every penny she had on a down payment (familyfunds 0). She knew that eventually, she could do *something* w/it. Fortunately, it did have an old toilet and sink of sorts in it and a little more than a pipe for a shower.

At least it would do the job in cleaning her up after a day of working on her farm. The only other thing she had was her sleeping bag. It would do for now. There was no other furniture in the house at all.

She saw that there were several fishing holes around town and even a community garden! She was in heaven already! Now starts the arduous task of fixing the place up and getting an income.

She is only allowed 2 "expansions" so it will be a veggie garden and eventually a couple of bee hives for her. As she gets the money, she will fix up the place and pull the weeds.

Her traits are loves outdoors, good, gatherer, green thumb, and angler. The "holes" in the walls are special windows and the wallpaper is the freebie one in the miscellaneous section. The fence is by Cyclone Sue from TSR and the bldg in back is The Old Mill.

Here are some pics of it.

The two smaller rooms are the bedrooms and the area next to the bathroom will be the kitchen/living area.

Evie has been steadily working on her farm and earning quite a bit of money w/it now. I forgot to mention last time that her ltw is a perfect garden. She has 6 of the 8 perfect plants now and most of her honey is perfect. I bought another beehive and that one will be perfect  in one or two more harvests. The poor girl has a bee sting every day though, lol She called the city and asked if they had anybody who could remove that old mill from the back of the property and they gladly agreed. I allowed the repo man to come so she could build a relationship w/him. They just became friends and the next time I have her call him, she will invite him over and go from there. I'll have to have him move in first though b/c there are no romantic actions above kiss until he does. Currently, she has $20,532 in funds and some nice furniture. The bldg in back is the green house. It is currently fall time. This is all she can do right now. Her son or daughter will expand the house add one more item to the farm.

I don't know who has gone to the link and read the rules, but the founder must start out w/a small, 2 bedroom house w/a small living area. The heir will expand the house. This is why the house is so small. :)

Well, this will be interesting. Three children and 2 parents in a small house, LOL. I'll be shuffling things around b/c I have the playpen which takes up most of the room in the second bedroom. Already, they have another baby girl who is in the swing in the living area. I use those b/c it keeps most of the baby's needs full green while the parents work in the garden or whatever. They currently have a little boy named Gardener and a girl named Fleur and they will need to have at least one more child. When they're grown, I'll probably keep Fleur around for a little bit to help out. After that, the two younger kids will be kicked out once Gardener marries and starts his family. I can't imagine more than that in that house! The kids will have bunk beds of course b/c they'll all be in the same bedroom.

Also, I don't know if I mentioned it or not, but Timothy (the husband) is much older than Evie so he'll pass on before she will.

It sounds like a nice challenge Sonshine and a great beginning for your story, but I can't read the rules for it. The link doesn't work for me. :(

@Sonshine Do the rules prevent you from putting the playpen outdoors?

@deedee_828 I think I typed in "MTS Farmacy Sims 3" into my search bar and got to the rules that way.

Deedee, if that doesn't work, go to MTS/Sims 3 Challenges/Legacy. It's called Grow as You Go Farmacy. If that doesn't work, I'll post the rules here. Thanks for the compliment. :)

Dek, I don't see why you can't put the playpen outside, but for me it was winter and that just would not work, lol Their daughter when she becomes a toddler and their next child would be able to stay outside though, maybe even sleeping outside b/c it will be warm!

Wow! It's been about 3 days since she went to the consignment shop to sell things. She got rid of most everything except for a few plants that she plans to replant. She had 9 bees wax and 16 honeys as well as over 100 Red Berry Beans and some Spotlight and Truffle mushrooms and a few other crops as well. I just got the notice and she made just a bit over $38,900!!!

Here are some pics of the family. First here is Evie holding Gardener, then we have Gardener, and last Timothy the dad. It's not very good lighting around Gardener, but you can still see him pretty good.

Gardener just grew up to a child and Fleur just grew to a toddler. Now it's time to get another baby going, lol  Also, Gardener wanted a bedtime story so Timothy obliged. :) I didn't get a pic of Gardener just yet, but I will when he wakes up the next day.

The kids are so cute! I love Fleur's name and hair---what a cutie! I was able to use the link MrsFlynn gave me and I really like this challenge. Hoping to give it a try soon now that my ghost baby testing has been successful. As well as making ambrosia and transforming the ghost dad into his human form.

I have to agree that MTS is pretty divided. I suppose they have to b/c so many people post stories and challenges. They have many different categories and it took me a couple of days to learn where to look for what. Just saying you're not alone Deedee.

Thanks for posting the ruleset here, Sonshine :)

I dislike the Seasons expansion pack immensely, so much so that I don't have it on the pc. I am going to go with that my sim is in a place where Winter is (not) coming but that the technological gods have removed the sims who created clothes dryers from existence before they could create the technology. :)

I have an interest in historical houses in Queensland (houses actually called the Queenslander) which did actually start off as 2 bedroom + small living area + bathroom and then got added to. Seeing some of them (there are pictures on the walls in my home (and their floorplans - there are some people who have done PhD studies into the development of the QLDer, from the tiny two bedroom cottage to the sprawling house) of my ancestors sitting in front of one of these) for their family portraits and so forth, I kind of know the floor plan of authentic ones.

As a kid, many many happy hours were spent at my Grandma's Queenslander where she and my Grandpa brought up mum and her two brothers and older sister. :)

Edited to Add: I'm giving this a go myself, because one can never have too many Sims projects on the go at once :P

I have a tiny update here. Their farm is doing great and they have about $118 now. Fleur became a child and Evie is pregnant w/the last child.  She finally got enough for a collection helper which finds all kinds of seeds. They also have a chest where I store all of the herb and fruit seeds that they find for either Gardener or a later generation when they take over. Here is a current pic of Fleur.

Evie and Timothy's son and heir is now a teen. Evie has proven to the world that even though she grew up in the big city, she could still dream of owning a farm and she succeeded. She knew that it would be a lot of work and still is. As a girl she never dreamed that it would ever happen and she would have never guessed how. Who would think that meeting a man who would sweep her off of her feet and then deserting her would land her on the farm of her dreams? Fortunately, She will have her son Gardener to help out w/the planting and gardening now. Timothy is getting older and not too far from becoming elder. Both parents wanted to put Fleur into the boarding school of Peace and Love. On the day before she was to leave, Fleur asked her parents if she could throw a slumber party and they agreed. She wanted to celebrate the start of her new adventure. The party was a modest success.

Gardener knew beyond a shadow of a doubt that he definitely wanted to make the house bigger! He would dream  every night of plans he would make. He hasn't quite decided what he would grow on the farm yet though. He still has a little while to decide. Whatever it will be, he wanted it to be profitable. The next day, Evie sent Gardener to the library to study up on gardening. She didn't want him to have to start from scratch like she did.

Evie gave birth to a little boy who she named Galen. He was born w/the Easily Impressed and Good traits. He's the only child who inherited dad's pale blonde hair. It also looks like he might have some streaks of mom's hair color.

Edit: I just peeked and he has all of dad's hair color. Dad has darker blonde highlights and so does Galen.

I forgot to update, but Galen had become a child. He is now a teen and Gardener is a YA. I can now expand the house! They have a little over $500k from growing mostly Red Berry Beans and harvesting honey and some mushrooms as well. I gave Evie the Suave Seller ltr so she could get paid a little better for her produce. Poor Timothy tried to harvest the honey as an elder and he was constantly attacked! The last time I had him do it, he was attacked no less than 3 times for a single box and this was after using nraas/debug/make happy on the bees! So, no more elders taking care of bees now! Evie still has a few days before becoming elder. When she married, she was a YA an he was an adult. When they pass on, it looks like both will get the large tombstone. Here are some pics of the family: The order is Gardener, Fleur, Galen, and Timothy. Gardener doesn't have a girl in mind just yet, but he's working on one.

Here is just a little update on Evie's progress. Gardener has maxed his gardening skill and moved in his sweetheart, Kristen Vinter and they will be marrying pretty quickly. When he met her, she was still a teen, but her age seemed to have gotten stuck so I had him move her in so I could age her up. She had been at 0 days to YA for 2 days! Surprisingly, she had an A grade in school so I got to choose her last trait! I've never seen a townie w/an A before. Usually, they're C or something. I chose "Green Thumb" for her since she will be participating in the farming. Gardener chose to grow fruit for this generation, but not anything berry related. His heir can grow the Berry garden. So far, he has Peach and Banana trees planted as well as some Plasma fruit, Life Plant, and Watermelons. I'll probably keep all of the Life Fruits for the future Nectar maker. Hopefully, I can find some Pomegranates also if the Swift Grow stations ever comply, lol. Gardener expanded the house, but so far only added one more bedroom and another bathroom. He also made the living area much bigger. Timothy is very close to the end of his age now. I also included a pic of the greenhouse. Right now, I'm on the first day of Spring and so the plants will be going outside again soon. I'm keeping Fleur around for a little bit to work on potions. It would be very nice to have some sleeping potions to cut down on the number of hours they need to sleep. They're also all throwing wishes to grow a Forbidden Fruit! I'll probably have Galen study enough science to be able to create some seeds. Gotta be careful though to not "harvest" them directly. :)  "Tend Garden" will harvest them w/o getting the plant sim baby.

Oh, their house is looking so cute. And I love the indoor garden idea! I've always done an actual greenhouse but it costs a lot so that's not happening any time soon in my Farmacy. Brooke's garden is such a hodge-podge!

I learned long before I bought the Swift Grow station that making my own greenhouse was simple and FAR less expensive. You just need to be able to afford the walls. If you can't afford to put wallpaper on when you're done, you can use the freebie one and put a pattern on it to make it look a bit better. :)

Here are the promised pics of the grown Fleur and of Kristen Vinter. Fluer looks almost like a clone of her mom! Kristen's hair is actually dark brown, but looks black in the dimmer light of the greenhouse.

I decided to take a little break for simming right now, lol. I'm starting to harvest and put up produce from our RL garden and will be making plum jam pretty soon. Anyway, w/o further adieu,

Evie woke up this morning realizing that it was her birthday today. She's going be an elder! Last night as she was reminiscing about her life, how she had started out w/absolutely nothing and about how she met Timothy. She had been so busy trying to grow her tiny little garden and trying to keep the weeds under control that she forgot to pay her bills and he came as the repo man. She and Timothy had a talk last night.

[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]

She walked over to Timothy and started sharing some of her memories w/him. You know Tim, when you first came here, I had only a sleeping bag and a few plants and this property to my name and you came as the repo man and repossessed one of my light bulbs.

[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]

I don't know why, but I felt oddly attracted to you even though you had a mean smirk on your face as you were doing it. Timothy replied Somehow, I also found you attractive.  Evie continued "I somehow found out how to contact you, but I don't even remember how. I have always wondered though what did you see in me that caused you to be so attracted?"

"As you know after all these years together, I'm not mean at all, but I had to act mean for my job. It was just a job and nothing more. One of the stipulations of the job was that I could not marry. If I wanted to marry, I would have to quit. The more I got to know you, the more I loved you and the more I knew that I just had to marry you. I was more than happy to quit that  job just for you."

The morning of Gardener and Kirsten's wedding dawned bright and clear and sunny. It was a beautiful day and Gardener was thinking about his up and coming vows. He could hardly wait b/c he had been looking forward to this for a long time now. Kirsten and Gardener were just a teens when she moved in. Now they're young adults and ready to commit to their love forever.

[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]

Everything was set up and Evie made sure the buffet and bar were ready for the guests. When the time came, Gardener and Kirsten stood under the arch ready to say their vows although Kirsten had a few butterflies.

[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]

Evie could hardly believe how time was flying by. It seemed like just yesterday, he was just a little one and now he's grown and married!
As Gardener and Kirsten stood there, they began to recite their vows to each other

I take thee Kirsten

To be my beloved wife

Kirsten repeated her vows also

I take thee Gardener to be my beloved husband

It was late by the time the wedding was over, but to Kirsten's surprise, the party was a roaring success verging on epic! After the party, they both collapsed into bed that night. The next day they decided to start their family immediately.

We leave off for now w/a nooboo on the way.

One more note here. I got rid of the money tree. I felt that it was just too "cheaty"

Last update for tonight;

It was time for Timothy to go. He was in his hot tub relaxing when he suddenly started floating. He couldn't figure out what was happening at first, but then realized that he was passing into the after life world. Galen happened to be in the same room and he was totally shocked at first. Timothy had a wonderful life and got to see his oldest son get married. Unfortunately, he tried begging grimmy for more time, but to no avail. Galen then realized what was happening. He was losing his dad! He was totally heart broken.

When Grimmy was finished, Galen decided to chat a bit w/him. At first he was asking why Grimmy took his dad away. When Grimmy told him that his dad was in a much better place now, Galen gave him a high five.

Then Grimmy asked Galen how he was doing in school.

After chatting a couple more min, Grimmy vanished. His job was done for now.

The time came for Kirsten to give birth. She had twin sons named Amande and Laurel. Amande is friendly and loves the outdoors and Laurel loves the outdoors as well as loves the heat. Fleur and Grandma Ellie just couldn't wait to play with and snuggle the babies.

[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]

[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]

Ellie is absolutely on top of the world now w/her new grandsons. Fleur also has the wish to attend university and I will send her. Her ltw is to be a Creature/Robot Cross Breeder. When she graduates and returns home, she will move out on her own after I put her into the science career. Galen has only a couple of days left of being a teenager. We'll see what happens then. So far, he has not rolled a ltw yet. He will probably move out very soon after graduating high school.
Also, Gardener finished expanding the house w/another bedroom which is the nursery. He's also decided to concentrate on growing fruit. He'll have a perfect Pomegranate the next time he plants it and he has a couple of perfect Life Plants and will have more shortly plus a few other fruits. He's saving the Pomegranate and Life Fruits for the future nectar maker. The family has a bit over $ 800k now mostly from the Red Berry Beans and Honey and a few other veggies. Right after his twin sons were born, Gardener went outside and started dancing in his formal wear! LOL

I'm currently playing w/Fleur at college. I found out that she really doesn't need to go to classes at all b/c her grades go up w/just fishing, and gardening, lol Only in the sims. I'm working getting those skills up for when she goes to work at the science center. Even as a townie, it should help.

Fleur is doing great in college. She decided to rent her own private house instead of living in the dorm. When she went to the Meet and Greet session, she met a young man named Nicholas Albright. So far she is on the Dean's List. During the last half of her first term, she discovered that she could skip classes and just go fishing and it kept her grades up. Leisure Day came around and she decided to throw a pool party. The only guest she invited was Nicholas who she has been keeping her eye on and chatting with every time she had a chance. When it came time for the party, one other guy, Scot Macklamoor crashed the party. She started talking w/him and discovered that there was a little chemistry between them. She decided against him though. When Nicholas came, he brought some waffles. She invited him to swim w/her, but unfortunately, she discovered that he is hydrophobic.

[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]

All he could do was go into a panic when he was in the pool. The only way she could get him over his panic long enough to get out of the pool was to invite him to a venue. According to Scot (who stole her pool lounger), her party was a legendary success, but to Nicholas it was a totally lousy and horrible party b/c of his panic in the pool. She decided to give it another try though and invited him over again, but this time no swimming! As the night progressed, they shared their first kiss and he became her boyfriend.

When she graduates, she intends to marry him and then they can find a home of their own.

I know it's been a few days since I updated. As Fleur left for college for the last time, the family again waved goodbye to her.

[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]

Fleur graduated from college w/flying colors and a straight A giving her a Suma Cum Laude degree in Science. The last term was a bit harder though b/c of it being winter and she couldn't fish. I tried other skills related to science, but they didn't help. She called her mom the night before the big exam and chatted a bit.

[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]

She called everybody in the family that same night invited them over for the graduation ceremony. The next morning, she was a little nervous at first when she got her report card although she knew that she had passed. It had been hard this time, but she knew that she made it.

[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]
[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]

When she read her report card, she let out a huge WHOOP!!!

[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]

When everything was said and done, she headed home. It was at her drop off station where she tossed her diploma.

She was glad to be home now. She would help w/the toddlers for a while and also work on her skills to ensure that she get a pretty high position in her chosen career. When she is ready, she will invite Nicholas to move in and then be married and they will move out together to their own house. Then Gardener and Kristen can grow their family.

Next up, pics of the twins.

As promised, here are some pics of the twins as toddlers and as children. First is Amande and then Laurel. I'm having a hard time trying to decide who  will be the heir, lol. I like the red hair. Amande has grandpa's hair and dark eyes and I'm not sure where those came from unless they came from Kristen's side of the family. Laurel has dad's and Grandma's hair and Kristen's blue eyes. Votes anybody?

In other news, Fleur just invited her boyfriend over and will have him move in. Also, I'm counting the days now, but Ellie is at the end of her life bar. It's just a matter of a couple of days now.

My vote is for Laurel. I had an Aunt Laurel for a while (she and mum's younger brother subsequently divorced) but I like Laurel's red hair.

Quite a bit has happened since my last post. In a nutshell, Fleur is now married and she and Nicholas are expecting their first child, Evie passed on, The boys are continuing on and have A's in school, and Galen moved in his intended. She only has 1 more day of being a teen and then they can be married. I'm just going to be doing a private wedding for them. Then they'll move out as soon as he reaches his ltw of living in the lap of luxury which will happen very soon. Here are some pics of Fleur's wedding;

Fleur also starts out in the Science career at level 4. Even as a townie, she should progress pretty fast b/c all of her necessary skills for that career are maxed.

2 days later it was time for Evie to leave them and join her beloved in the afterlife.

[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]

When Grimmy showed up, she remarked "is it time already?"

[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]

Afterwards, she gladly joins her beloved

Although, they knew her time was close, it was still very, very difficult for the others, especially the boys who had never experienced this before.

[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]

[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]

They all begged her not to go, but to no avail. It was time.

I'm not sure what happened, but one of Fleur's wedding pics ended up last and I really don't want to re-insert all of the attachments just to put her pic where it belongs.  I just looked at it in modify mode and everything is in its proper place including that pic as listed below the post under "Attached," but there isn't any "attachment 5" listed in the attached pics within the post.  : /

One more shot  though of Evie's final resting place.

Some surprising things happened since last time. First of all, for the first time ever that I remember the burglar came approaching from the back! She came up from the back of the lot, giving the family plenty of time to tackle her or call the police.

[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]

This didn't faze Gardener at all who is brave. It gave him plenty of time to get  out of bed and attack her. Of course all of the neighbors had to come over and watch.

[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]

and whoops her lousy, criminal butt!

[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]

The fight took so much out of him that he was totally exhausted when everything was done.

[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]

Fortunately, he had just bought a bottle of Invigorating Potion from the Alchemy shop a couple of days before to have on hand just in case something happened that he didn't get enough sleep the night before. Little did he know that he would need it to revitalize himself after fighting the burglar. One thing I didn't know is that it lasts for 24 hrs. He did some skilling up to fulfill wishes that night and then went out the next morning to work on the garden. He has many, many Life Plants, getting ready for whoever will take up the Nectar making skill. All of the plants on the left are Life Plants. He also has a couple of perfect Pomegranate trees that  he will replant when they can be harvested.

In other, more pleasant news, Bambi Diamond finally grew up into a YA. I had to turn aging off for a couple of days b/c she had a wish to learn how to drive. There was no teaching her to drive in one week day. It could have been possible on the weekend, but not during the week. They woke up early Saturday morning and he decided to take the plunge. By that night, they were husband and wife.

Galen had been looking forward to this for a long time now. He had to wait for a little while b/c she was still just a teen, but he loved her anyway.

[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]

She responded "How sweet! I love you too."

[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]

Galen asked her to please be his girlfriend

I'm soooo happy about this Galen! I've also wanted this forever!

[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]

Then suddenly Galen gets down on one knee and asks her to be his wife for real

[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]

She was so excited and said YES!!!

I don't want to put too many pics in one post so I'll continue in the next post.

They were both very, very happy and excited about exchanging vows.

Immediately Galen starts his vows to pledge himself to Bambi in marriage

I popped over to Fleur's household. When I checked on  her the previous day, she only had 1 more paid day off b/c of maternity leave. I checked again and now she had 4 days off! Sure enough she and Nicholas have one little boy, Deshaun and one on the way, lol  Here is Deshaun who has daddy's brown eyes.

Just a small update here. While playing the Gardener household, Fleur had her baby girl and the game named her Hannah. I like that name so I'll keep it. When she ages up to toddler, I'll switch over and get some pics of her. The next baby will be Bambi's. Larel and Amande grew into teens so they can help out fully in the garden now. :)

Hi everybody! Right now, I'm up to my ears in canning some Plum jam and Plum Butter and maybe a pie. We had a good harvest this year. After this will probably be working w/the squash. I will probably get back to this once all that work is done and we put the garden to sleep for the winter and I get to settle down, lol. Thanks for being patient!

I think I'm finally back now. Late summer and early fall are always busy for me especially when our tree is productive. Anyway:

When I played a bit last night, I got a surprise notice.

Yep! She's expecting baby #3. Galen and Bambi are also expecting baby #2. Gardener went over to Galen's place and played for a bit w/little Shoshanna who is a cute little blonde.

Also here is kind of a funny pic of the notice of Galen talking to the plants when he was living at the house.

I'll have Gardener go over to Fleur's place when I can. When I tried last night, they were both at Mick's and Hannah was left w/a babysitter.
