What will happen to my little girl?

I apologize if this has been discussed before. I tried searching but didn't find anything pertaining to my particular situation. I'm still relatively new to The Sims 4 gameplay.

I know that if a child is living in a household, they are deleted(?) when the last adult dies, but what if they have a parent in another household? I have a mother and daughter living in one home and the child's father is in a different home with his wife and other child. The mother and father are not divorced as they were never married (is this even a thing?). He was already married, but the child is marked with him as her father. If the mother dies, will she go live with him or will she still be deleted or will she be put into my library?

When the last adult in the girl's household dies, the girl will be removed, never to be seen again.  If mom is close to dying, you can use Household Management screen to move her in with dad.  But that must be done before mom dies.
