How to find a meteor in Map View

My sim was searching the galaxy using her telescope and got a message that a meteor had fallen somewhere, and that it could be found using Map View. The only problem is that I can't find it.

How can I tell where the meteor has fallen?

When in map view you should see that aqua-blue circle with a white star in the center of it (be certain you have the Sim who was using the telescope hightlighted). And just to be sure, you're not in "Edit Mode" by mistake?

I've just had another look, and found the meteor. I never even realised it was the blue and white star, I thought it was there for a skill opportunity my sim had. Thanks ejnarts1!
