October is very pretty! I love the cross-eyed picture of her when she was a toddler.

Is her favourite orange? That is a weird coincidence because October is in Autumn and I Autumn has lots of orange leaves and red squirrels and stuff. Also pumpkins are orange and you have Halloween in October. Why is there so many orange things in October?

I never realised Kelsey came from the DecaDynasty! (I had read her Orphanage Project before this) I just read through this thread and it's very funny!  ;D

I just read this whole story over a few days, and I must say it was wonderful. You have a wonderful gift of making me laugh. ;D Your sims are so pretty and unique.

Thanks Xanatos! I'm glad you liked it.

October is very pretty! I love the cross-eyed picture of her when she was a toddler.

So do I! Toddler faces are so funny in the sims.

Is her favourite orange? That is a weird coincidence because October is in Autumn and I Autumn has lots of orange leaves and red squirrels and stuff. Also pumpkins are orange and you have Halloween in October. Why is there so many orange things in October?

Yeah, her favourite colour is orange which I found amusing because it's just so fitting. We don't have any red squirrels where I live though, they're all but extinct in my area.

I never realised Kelsey came from the DecaDynasty! (I had read her Orphanage Project before this) I just read through this thread and it's very funny!  ;D

I'm glad you liked it! Yep Kelsey was originally part of this story, but she became a much bigger character than she was ever meant to and kinda demanded her own story.

There will probably be two updates today. I'm ten chapters ahead in the game.

Thanks for reminding me! I'm rubbish at remembering to update my sig.

One Tea Please

Tober heads straight for her easel. Which is a good sign, as she's going to be spending a lot of time there over the next few sim-weeks.

However, Lexa has other ideas about how she should be spending her time.

Lexa: The most important thing to learn as the head of a criminal organisation is how to keep people under control. Being successful at crime is secondary; if they've already deposed you you won't be around to see the spoils of your big plan.

Tober: Mummy...

Lexa: Divide and rule is key. Choose favourites, and make sure everyone knows who they are. Spread rumours, but make sure they're never traced back to you.

Tober: But Mummy...

Lexa: What?

Tober: I don't want to be a criminal.

Lexa: Don't be silly. Of course you do. Also key to controlling your minions is bribery...

Verity: What the...

That was quick. My dolls usually take a bit longer to grow up than that.

Verity: Ooh yay. The last watcher I had buried me in the sandpit. The one before that used testing-cheats to delete me. I've finally got a watcher who wants me here!

However Tober might not want you here much longer if you insist on watching her have a bath.

Tober: The watcher is right, Tea.

Tober: Do I have to go in there?

You do. I'm sorry. If this was an immortal dynasty I'd let you stay home and paint but I'm afraid the honour roll is a requirement for this one.

Tober: Boo.

Exactly. Sorry babe.

How was it?

Tober: Alright. I met a nice girl called Lynette. But I had to sit next to a boy in Maths. And he wanted to TALK to me.

One day, you'll want boys to talk to you.

Tober: No I wont. Boys smell. Can you help me with my science?

Roderick: Please don't try to persuade her boys don't smell. I'd quite like her to think boys smell for a lot longer, possibly forever.

But then we won't have another heir ever.

Roderick: But she's my little girl.

Tober: Are you sure you want to do this? You'll have to go to school.

Verity: Of course I do. School's a small price to pay for being real.

And will everyone please give Verity a warm welcome to the CrumpleSteel family, and to the Forum. She's eccentric, clumsy and shy.

I think inventing is a perfect skill for her.

Verity: Thanks watcher! I love you! You didn't delete me with testing-cheats!

Lexa: Maybe you'll be a better minion than my daughter. I need somebody to take over the organisation.

Verity: Umm. I don't really think I'd be much good at that.

Lexa: Maybe I should just get myself cloned instead.

Tober: Come on, Tea. It's time for school!

Verity: What if nobody likes me?

Tober: They will, come on, we'll be late for the bus!

Verity: Are you sure?

Tober: I worried about that too. But Lynette is lovely, and Kristopher, and LeAnn, and everyone else. And anyway, I like you.

Aww Tober is so sweet. I don't think Lexa is having much luck with the whole minion thing.

No, she's really not. I would feel sorry for her but if she did persuade October to become the next emperor of evil it would fail my dynasty.

Can you actually get sims cloned?  ???

You need Generations and then if you use the clone voucher lifetime reward you get a child-age clone of your sim. I can't remember how many happiness points it is though.

Yes, the second update for today. I'm off on holiday for the bank holiday weekend from tomorrow afternoon, so I wanted to get in a couple more updates before then.

The Twin Perils of Homework and Fire

Verity: Is homework easier when you do it with someone else?

Tober: No. It's always impossible. I hate homework.

Lexa: I'm sure it was harder 20 years ago.

Tober: Mummy, that doesn't help.

Ooh. You've been told, Lex.

Roderick: Ahh, peace. That, and I've just learnt how to prepare Key Lime Pie.

Mmm, can you make some for me?

Roderick: Not unless you climb into your computer, no.

I might be short, but I doubt I'd fit.

October gets her first Black Op, one of the scavenger hunts.

Tober: No, really, I agree with Dad. That's never going to fit in my pocket.

No, because there's not going to be any room because your bike's already in there.

Lexa is still not giving up on the potential for minions.

Lexa: There's actually loads of benefits to being a criminal if you're in with the boss. I'd pay you loads, seeing as you're practically my daughter, and you'd never have to do anything risky or dangerous. In fact, you could just sit in the lair and help me plot if you wanted.

Verity: I think I'd rather invent toys.

Lexa: Boring.

Tober is invited over to her friend Lynette's house after school. They do their homework together and play a bit of tag.

Tober: I hate blackboards. They make that horrible squeaky sound sometimes.

This however means that Verity is left to do her homework alone.

Verity: It makes my head hurt.

As every parent knows, you don't get fun time until you do your homework. But as soon as it's done Tober is back on her easel.

Not that Lexa is paying all that much attention to what her kid's doing.

Verity ends up being supervised by the paparazzi. Really, kids shouldn't be allowed to use blowtorches and hammers by themselves, should they? Maybe I hate the paparazzi a little bit less for at least keeping an eye on Verity.

It's not all skilling, though.

Tober: I, October Marie CrumpleSteel, am queen of this realm and so I order you to bring me a new pot of orange paint.

It's a good job somebody was supervising Verity.

Verity: Help! Help! Somebody! Help!

We haven't even got a shower! (There really wasn't one on the lot. There is now.)

Lexa: Install a shower. Next time I might not have a fire extingusher handy.

Why do you?

Lexa: Borrowed Kelsey's years ago.

But Verity is safe. That's the main thing.

Verity: Don't you find your mum appearing in rooms like that dead freaky?

Tober: Yep. But she's a martial artist, so we shouldn't say that too loud. What did you put for the one about the train?

Verity: I haven't even got that far yet! I'm rubbish at this!

Next time: Three birthdays, pranking the art gallery, and driving lessons.

Not-So-Little Women

Verity: Look what I made, watcher!

It's a...?

Verity: Dog.

Lexa: Maybe it could be a good minion. Better than anyone else round here anyway.

Tober: *grumbling* Why will nobody ever clean this bath? I can't live like this. It's not right.

The kids play tag for one last time before their teen birthday. We're doing cakes at midnight, which is like pistols at dawn just less dangerous.

Tober goes first.

Tober: Really, this bun?

She gets the Hopeless Romantic trait. Mainly because she doesn't need any more for her supermax skill and her career trait won't be useful until YA, so she might as well have a just-for-fun trait.

And then Verity.

Verity: So how do I do this candles thing again?

She becomes a Natural Cook, because Roderick's going to be the tombstone and once he's gone Verity will be the only one allowed to learn the cooking skill.

Roderick: Yay! Cooking!

She's got the hang of this supermaxing a skill business already. As you can see she wanted to dye her hair. Apparently she wants to express herself.

Tober: Black is boring. Red is exciting, passionate, vibrant...

Yeah. Artists.

Tober: I can't have a hair colour that isn't perfect! Do you want me to be a freak in school?!

Okay, she's worse than an artist. She's a teenage artist.

Tober is eventually prised away from the easel to take driving lessons from her mum.

Lexa: Look, are you sure you don't want to be a criminal? You could have nice cars, and drive fast, and...

Tober: No. For the last time Mum, no!

Lexa: Worth a try.

However, this might not have been the best place to try.

Lexa: Please stay in a straight line. Please. I'm too young to die.

Lexa: Ahh!

Lexa: The stress, it's made me old!

Where are you off to?

Tober: Home. It's after curfew and I'm scared if I get brought home in a police car my mum will die of happiness.

At least you wouldn't get grounded.

Verity: Toby?

Tober: Tea?

Verity: Best friends forever?

Tober: Yeah!

Tober: This isn't art. This is a load of clocks.

Tober: Hmm. I have a plan.

That's the face your mum used to pull when she was planning something.

Pranking art is normally seen as a bad thing, babe.

Tober: But it isn't good art!

Tober: And I think this art gallery is fundamentally flawed because...

Vampire: Eww. Art. It smells baaaddd.

Verity: That didn't go quite as well as I'd hoped.
