Hmmmm - I think that, as the writer, you get to say how you want this to pan out, and what route you'd like to follow, even if that means going against what fans think However, in your position, *my* first priority would be to finish the dynasty without avoidable problems... So, in short, I'm with Audren

May I make a suggestion? Save the current file, put it away on a disk or thumb drive or something, and finish this the shorter, less-prone-to-corruption way. Then, after you install Supernatural (and maybe after Seasons, too), you can pull it out and see if it still works. If it does, you can then write a "second, unofficial, director's cut ending" where you do the long version. It's obvious you love Artie and crew and the ability to do both stories with them would make your readers extremely happy.

I think Rica is saying the patch after the EP release might cause problems? Maybe not though, I could be wrong. 

I think I'm with Audren, too, go for whatever keeps the Grims safe, though I like lvruggers idea too, of the "second ending." Ultimately, it's up to you.

Immortal Dynasties must be played on the most recent Patch otherwise they are not HoF worthy.

Rica,I think you should do what is the best for you and the Grims. If getting it finished quicker means less risk of your file getting bugged then I am all for it. Lets face it your story will be awesome no matter what you do.

I'd say back it up, and add another each time you play, so you can go back to any one of the saves. If it is really important to complete before supernatural do it the fast way, and maybe go back and do the slow way once you are sure that you are safe on the other side of this release. Whatever you do I hope that it turns out for the best

Whatever decision you make, the Grims will not fail to delight and entertain us readers. Also, OMG REDBOO, YAY!!!! Sorry, sorry, just got a little too excited there for a second.

If we're not friends on the Sims 3 site, then you may not know but there has been a tragic twist to the Grim file that made things interesting to say the least.  It certainly made figuring out which storyline to go with easier.  I thank you all for all the commentary , support and advice.   Besides, Artie really loves the attention and when he's happy, I'm happier.




Apollo was the first to get purple eyes.  He got Adrianna's.   His son got Tama's eyes, his mother & Apollo's wife.  Angus married Cory who had a third set of purple eyes and she passed those on to Amon and I think for the first time since Ares we've managed to pass on an eye color from father to son.  Check out this little cutie.  You can also really see the hue difference going on here.


Prim: "There you go little guy.   As soon as you master this, you can wear big boy pants and then I'll never have to change another diaper."
Rica: "I don't know what you guys are complaining about.  Changing a diaper is not that hard for you guys."
Prim: "It's stinky and stuff."
Rica: "I just had to walk into the backyard and hose down a truly dirty diaper.  You can't tell me you guys don't have it easy.  I refuse to give ground on this subject. " -Hmphs- "Oh and good job Aker!"


Amon: "Who's daddy's big boy?"
Aker: "Whee."
Rica: "Psst.  He can't full on talk yet."
Amon: "I guess we'll just have to take care of that huh big man?"
Aker: -squeels- "Yesyesyes"
Rica: "He knows the important words though."

On the other side of town, there's an attack.....

Rica: "Yes you can fully interact with everything and it's time for a makeover."

Rica: "Because I'm not a fan of your black butt.  Seems odd to me and I'd like to fix it ok."

The blue with with specks is supposed to represent the sky and the big stars are the "cool ones" as I'm told.  Yes another makeover by Jacob.


Amon: "Wahoo!"
Rica: "Hey I see a new gnome nooboo!"
Amon: "Hey.  Birthday party going on.  Pay attention woman."
Rica: "You're supposedly becoming an adult.  This is not big news my friend."
Amon: "Bring on the mid-life crises-
Rica: "Haha.. nope.  You got denied by the sparkles."
Amon: "Pfft.  It's because I really know my life is perfect."


Jena Jorgenson: "Oh what a world what a world."
Rica: "The fruit is right there!  right there!  You ate the cake instead!"


Reaper Allan: "Grr why does Artie have to be such a neat freak?  I have no dishes to wash and break the sink with!"
Rica: "Be gone with you pest or take someone else with you besides the gnomes!"


Amon: "And see just like that, you're trained."
Athena: "Huh."
Rica: "Why are you in your sleep clothes?"
Amon: "I don't know."
Rica: "At least you too look good together."


This picture was taken the day they revealed the carnival set at the sims 3 store.  Apparently Lunar Lakes vampires really want to see people in these clothes.   The two non vampires in this picture were vampires by morning, too.


Rica: "I don't know how they expect you to learn from these books since you can't talk yet but ok."
Aker: "You still in big trouble."
Rica: "What did I do?"
Aker: "Boss says so."
Rica: "She's sending messages through the recently born now.  That's just low.  Where's a bigglesworth when you need one."


Amon: "And Daddy is friends with the unicorns because they tell him special messages."
Aker: "Ooniecorns speshul."
Amon: "Yes the unicorns are special."


Amon: "And then when you get bigger you'll max out painting because the rest of us forgot."
Aker: "Pretty pictures!"
Amon: "Exactly."


Amon: "And when Daddy falls and gets a booboo.  Mommy makes it all better because she's the best doctor in all of Lunar Lakes."
Aker: "Mommy takes away Daddy's booboos!"
Amon: "I bet she'll take away yours too, lil buddy."


Amon: "When we get older, we get married to the women so that the family name is passed on."
Aker: "Mawiage Ew."
Amon: "Not really.  It has a lot of advantages that I can't tell you about until you're at least a Young Adult but you'll probably hear about them in high school."
Aker: "No mawwiage."
Amon: "Just wait.  You'll meet that special girl and then Bam.  Twitterpated.  There will be a ring on your finger before you know."


Rica: "Hey Governor.  I think you did something wrong there buddy."
Alegra: "You really think today is the day to compete internationally."
Amon: -rights himself- "Yes... let's go."
Rica: "Good luck!"

Rica: "You know.. you were the first one to make that face so it's only fitting that you're the only one he acts this way with."


Prim: "There you go big boy.  Now the other foot."
Aker: "Mommy I did it!"
Prim: "Gosh you're so big.  Pretty soon you'll be able to chase down Daddy's horses."
Aker: "Yea!"


Amon: "Hey pretty girl.  Want to come move in with me?"
Sally Mustang Three: "Yes I would love to."
Amon: "Good now let's go get you a new home."
Sally Three: "Wait what?"
Rica: "We're selling you and getting back our other horse."
Sally Three: "What about me?"
Rica: "I happen to know some really good people that get horses from the eq center and having lived with us ups your price a bit so be happy!"
Sally Three: "This is not what I had planned at all."
Rica: "We know.  We're sorry but we gotta get her back."


Amon: "See I told you I would get you back."
Alegra: "And I'm glad you did. "
Rica: "And you're supermaxed.  Good job."


Prim: "Would it be totally unprofessional to do the happy dance in front of the hospital?"
Rica: "I don't know but that paparazzi is watching."
Prim: "Ok I'll wait til I get home."
Rica: "Congrats on making surgeon though.  That's a big deal."
Prim: "I know I'm so excited."
Rica: "And I got an achievement for it!"


Rica: "Bah.. not another one."
Aker: "This is Reka.  She's my best friend."
Rica: "Bah again. "
Artie: "I can't tell if I'm more disturbed by how close the doll's name is to yours or the fact that it's his name backwards."
Rica: "I'm with you on that one."


Amon: "Hey big guy.  You having a good time at Daddy's fundraiser?"
Aker: "Weird lady with fangs picked me up.  I no like that."
Amon: "I know but I got you now.  How about we put you in your crib so you can go to sleep.   I'll get everyone to leave soon ok?"
Aker: "O-Kay!"


Being a guy - Amon has all his fundraisers in swimwear.  But this vamp finally figured out that the plasma fruit on the table wasn't for the people who lived here.


Athena: "Hey would you look at that."
Rica: "Yep time for you to run weird like your parents."
Athena: "What's next?"
Rica: "More jumping to make you less tired."
Athena: "That makes no sense."
Rica: "It's the basis of the concept though."


Amon: "So just toss this up a little bit like this.. Hey where'd the juice go?"
Rica: "It's on the fast track to broken."
Amon: "Whoops."
Rica: "You know your son is a toddler.  He doesn't need drinks so why are you bothering?"
Amon: "Just decided that's what I wanted."
Rica: "Ok it helps me figure out another one of your rewards.  So we're good.  Time to wake up the house though.  Party Time!"


Aker: -blows as hard as he can-
Prim: "Good job buddy!"
First 5 Grim Men: "Wahoo!"


Aker: "Wheee!" 
Rica: "One last cute toddler photo before it's all gone."


Aker: "Tada!  Hey what's on my nose?"
Rica: "I don't see anything."
Aker: "Oh ok.. Hey I'm a big kid now!"
Rica: "Yep out of Boss's reach a little bit more now."
Prim: "You know the drill little man.  Cake, vanity, painting time."
Rica: -stomach lurches- "Oh man.  This is the first time I haven't had a spouse picked out in any way."
Artie: "Don't worry.  We'll figure it out somehow."


Aker: "I'm a pirate.  Argh!"
Rica: "Yep and Maccy gave the go ahead so we're good for a while."
Aker: "Awesome!"
