Esther 1981, I'm sorry I can't offer you any solutions, but I think all of the Simmer's out there can relate to how you feel about your game. Don't feel stupid, we all love our Sims. Don't give up, I'm sure you will find your code or Ea will come through for you. Good Luck.

Thanks guys. I still have not found it or heard back from EA. If I would have known I needed that to re-install my game, I wouldn't have uninstalled it! I just figured since it was already registered on my PC it wouldn't need it again.

Here is a thread I just found on the forum. Maybe you can get some help from it. http://www.carls-sims-3-forum.com/index.php/topic,685.0.html

FYI If you don't have WA installed, you also can't play the base game that has WA things. I tried to play a regular game but because all my saved games have items from WA like board breakers and treasure chests, it only loaded a little way then froze. I had to restart my computer. I still haven't heard back from EA yet.

Oh good for you! ;D

So I'll just repeat this then:

Always make sure that you still have your serial numbers before uninstalling!

Write down the code and tuck it under the cover of the game box or something. I swear those manuals have a life of their own and get lost on purpose. :o :D
If the manual has already escaped check this thread.

Now let's all be grateful that there are only 2 EP's for Sims 3 so far!

When Sims 2 would crash and you had to reinstall every Expansion Pack and Stuff pack, and put in all the license numbers it became a very, very long job (especially for the dyslexics amongst us for whom serial numbers are the work of the devil!). As I had everything it was 21 disks all told!

Best of luck with your reinstall Esther!

PJ. I agree, ALWAYS write the serial numbers elsewhere! Aby, 21? For real? Wow! As you can tell, I didn't get into 1 or 2 so I had no idea there could be that many EPs! Do you think that might happen with 3? If so, I need to get a whole notebook! Also the whole reinstall went fine(after I got my serial number back) and the game is running great except the family I started this post over! They still can't move so I think I'm just going to dump them. Thankfully I had just started them the night before! If something like this happened to my older families, I would lose literally months of real time!

I think there were a couple expansions with Sims 2 that came with 2 disks, pretty sure that's why there's so many. :)

This reminds me of the last few months I played Sims 1.  My computer was having issues, and I had lost the disks for the original game and only could find the expansions, and I was PRAYING that my computer would survive until Sims 2 came out. lol

You could always get some Tip-Ex or Permanent Marker and write the serial code on the inside cover of the box...  ;)

That would mean your disks are laying around loose and unprotected.  They'd get scratched and damaged!  I keep all of my cases (with manuals) together right beside my computer.

Right. My TS3 is in my case with the manual beside my computer. My WA disk is always in my drive, so the box and manual are who knows where lol I hope I find it before Ambitions comes out cause than it will be Ambitions in my drive!
