The Sims 4 Skill Cheats

Raise and Lower Skill Levels

Sims 4 Skill Cheats allow you to raise or lower the Skill's level
Skill Cheats let you raise or lower each Skill's level individually. There is no cheat to max all skills at once, however.

Thankfully, the Sims Studio left in some development cheats that let us manually adjust Skills to any level we desire. This page is for handy reference to avoid you having to go through our massive Cheats page for the info you need. Here are the console commands you need to raise and/or lower Skills. Each cheat lets you select the level you want your Sim to have. If you want to see each level-up notification, you can do it by raising the skill level one at a time - 5, 6, 7 etc. Otherwise, we've got links to the skill guides here so that you can see what unlocks with each level and get information on using the abilities you'll be getting.

How to Use Skill Cheats

Opening the Console
Type Control + Shift + C (Mac users make sure you're actually using control and not command). Type testingcheats on to allow the use of advanced cheats. A white box will appear at the top of the screen where you can type in the following commands. Replace X with the level you want to set the Sim at. Remember that a select few skills may cap at level 5 as more Expansions are released.

Note the space between stats.set_skill_level and major_skill x. If you want to max all skills, I've typed all of these out so that you can copy/paste them in-game, replace the x with the skill level (10 in most cases) and master all skills fairly quickly.

Hi, I've tried doing the skill cheats just today. I did the following but the cheats still didn't work...:

1. ctrl shift c
2. testingcheats true
3. Stats.set_skill_level major_handiness 10 or Stats.set_skill_level adultmajor_handiness 10

I've tried everything, I even made a new game and tried to put in the cheats... I also did testingcheats true testing and cheats false a couple of times before encoding testingcheats true once again. Have I done something wrong? Did I forget to type in something? Or is the cheats not working anymore?
Admin: Skill cheats were broken or disabled in the most recent patch. There is a link in the guide under the heading Skill Cheats that will take you to an explanation and a mod to fix them

Since I updated my game to the new DLC 'seasons' the skill cheats don't work, none of them do... I've tried a few of them and none of them seem to work and this issue only seemed to start after I updated. I type in
stats.set_skill_level major_baking 10
anybody else facing this issue??

I enabled cheats (testingcheats on), but when I write stats.set_skill_level major-homestylecooking 10, nothing happens! Can someone please help!
Admin: The correct cheat is:
stats.set_skill_level major_homestylecooking 10
You have used the incorrcet cheat here. So double check for any typos or misplaced spaces/special characters etc that shouldn't be there. Makes sure you have no mod conflicts or broken cc. Mods like MCCC will change how cheats work in some instances.

Hi, I've tried all of the methods in inputting skill cheats. Testing cheats is on, I've tried the copy paste method, I don't have any typos, and I've also tried being case sensitive but still to no avail. Any help?

Are you in live mode with your game paused? If you use mods/cc have you tried removing them all and then trying? Is you game totally up-to-date as a few patches ago some cheats were removed form the game but were patched back in.

Was there ever a cheat made for magic users to max their magic like the vampire lore?
