What's the name of the challenge? Is it the same as this thread?

I have a name in mind, but I'm still thinking about it.  It may change before I'm ready to post the rules.  If you don't mind, I'll save it until then.  Or maybe this is just another of my sneaky attempts to keep people reading the story.   ;)

*sighs hugely* You don't need to suspend the rule set, or its name, just to keep us coming back, we'll do it anyway! And I shall make a stab in the dark by saying that 99% of readers will agree, and the other 1% will faint in awe ;D

Chapter 34:  Week 10, Sunday

So the practice party with all the family was a success.  Pippa feels confident about the fund raiser she will be hosting Sunday afternoon.  In fact, she's so positive about it that she just popped a wish to throw five parties.  It seems you can take the girl out of the party but you can't take the party out of the girl!  Uh ... let's take this one party at a time, ok, Pippa?

Sebastian bakes his special key lime pie for the occasion, Gregory entertains on his guitar, and all the most wealthy Sims in Sunset Valley turn up.

Marilyn takes the opportunity to seek a little free medical advice from Geoffrey Landgraab.  She's very happy when he tells her the baby will be a boy, as that's what both she and Christopher are hoping for.

Everyone keeps telling Chris how French he looks with his new moustache and clothes.  He's really getting into the role.  Here he is practicing his gallic shrug.

Marilyn showing off how supple she is.  "Look, I can still touch my toes - from the back."  Not bad for someone so heavily pregnant she waddles!  Wonder what exercise regimen she follows.  Is that Pilates, do you think?

Tamara Donner likes the key lime pie so much she goes back for seconds.  Or is it thirds, Tamara?  And by the way, does anyone else ever wonder why all Sims eat left-handed?

Gordon gets bored with the adult party and wanders into the back bedroom to look at the pictures Sebastian has taken of all the orphans and the teddy bears they have left behind.  He decides he might as well add his teddy bear to the group.

The party raised over $60,000 in donations.  Not a record fundraiser, but not bad, considering some of the tightwads in attendance.

After the party, Christopher comes up to Sebastian and says:  Ah, Sebastian, mon ami - it was a marvellous party, n'est-ce pas?
Sebastian:  Chris, take a word of advice from your father-in-law:  stick to Simlish!  Your French accent is terrible.  And please stop shrugging!

Great party. 60,000$ is much, believe me. ;D
Aw, poor Chris and his broken French. I've never noticed that Sims eat left-handed! :o Poor Pippa and her party addiction. :)

Yes! Yes they will! Hehe being lefthanded is awesome. I am, my mother is and my mother's mother is! It's in the genes. And it's funny, we're all the only sibling with the left-hand gene, and we're all the middle child!
So my middle child will be a daughter, and left-handed, and she will rule the world! ;D

Chris would do well to take Sebastian's advice. Sims seem to be ambidextrous with a tendency towards left-handedness. They use their left hand to eat and other things, and they use their right hand for other activities (like playing catch, I think). I've also noticed this as I have two siblings (out of 8 of us) that are left handed. Both my parents and all four grandparents are right-handed. Its an interesting study in genetics if anyone's interested.

I'm sure you guys figured out by my statement, but I am left-handed! Me and my brother are the only ones in the family. We don't know where it came from but we had to have gotten it from somewhere right? Lol I can't wait to see Marilyn and Chris's little boy!

Hmm, I can't think of anyone in my family who's left handed, but maybe I've never noticed.

Wait oh no, I'm a righty, that means I won't get to rule the world *sniff, sniff*

Great party, I love how Chris just keep shrugging, made me laugh :D

Not to worry about the right-handedness, Juxt, we still have our sheer numbers as a defense against the left-handed uprising! :D

Chapter 35:  Week 10, Sunday Evening - Monday Afternoon

It's Sunday evening.  The party guests have all departed, or should I say de-partied (ouch).  Debbie's husband Mortimer drops in for a visit.  Suddenly Marilyn starts grimacing and clutching her belly.  She's in labour!  Everyone panics.  Well, all except the devoted husband and father-to-be, who's more interested in dinner.

Yes, Marilyn's baby is arriving right at dinner time.  And it isn't just Christopher - everybody is hungry.  Sebastian has prepared a special meal in honour of Mortimer's visit, and soon the family and guests are sitting round the dinner table, savouring lobster thermidor while the mother-to-be goes through her ordeal alone.

When the baby finally arrives, Marilyn is very hungry and tired.  But she holds up her new baby triumphantly, showing him off to everyone.  Meet baby Andrew, a friendly genius.  Andrew is the first baby to be born in this household.

The next day is a momentous one in its own way for Pippa.  Her boss is so impressed with Pippa's performance that she gives her a promotion.  After seeing Tamara scarfing down slice after slice of Sebastian's key lime pie at the party, I think the pie deserves a lot of the credit for this promotion.  Be that as it may, Pippa has met her commitment to Mr Payne - she has reached the top of her career.  And with four whole days to go.  The new leader of the free world stops outside City Hall for a photo-op before going home:

You may remember that Pippa chose Politics mainly because she thought she would get some decent clothes to wear.  I'm not sure mossy green is really her colour, but there's no doubt the medal and crest are impressive.  But Pippa as leader of the free world?  Scary prospect.  On second thought, maybe not any more scary than some of the politicians and leaders we keep hearing about.  Now, Pippa's elevation to supreme leader is particularly significant today, as today we are having a national election here in Canada.  I promise, this is just a coincidence - I honestly didn't plan for Pippa's promotion to coincide with election day!  But maybe someone planned it (Mr Payne?  Pippa herself?).  Pippa for Prime Minister?  Better than some that are running, in my opinion.  But this is not the place for a political debate, so moving on ...

Soon Gregory and Gordon will grow up and leave home.  There are no more orphans for Pippa and Sebastian to bring up.  They are both at the top of their careers.  On Friday they have their appointment with Mr Payne to review their progress and, hopefully, take possession of their parents' estate.  Lonely and at loose ends, Pippa strolls across the street to the Consignment shop looking for diversion.  She meets someone new:

Recognize him?  Gobias Koffi.  Pippa immediately wants to know what his sign is, as you see in the picture.  Their signs aren't particularly compatible, but lonely Pippa doesn't care.  Her next wish is to kiss Gobias.  At that point, I send her home.  The poor girl is obviously very ill.

Knowing all the doctors in town has its advantages.  Geoffrey and Morgana are happy to come over and examine the patient.  Geoffrey gives up and turns his back.  Morgana thinks, "yes, a very serious case.  She needs the right sort of medicine.  What can be done?"

Right, that's all for now.  Time for me to go and vote.  Maybe I'll vote for Pippa, but I'm not telling.  Secret ballot, you know!

Apparently Pippa's a little starved for affection if she finds herself wanting to leap into the arms of bespectacled rolly-polly Gobias.  But who am I to judge, maybe he has an awesome personality :D

I myself agree with ratchie and samoht about Max being even more desirable as a mate than Christopher Steele.  If Max was human instead of Sim, I'd be after him myself.  But there is a big social gulf between Max and Pippa, you know.  Do you really think romance is possible between Pippa and a servant?  What would people think?

At this point, Pippa has already lived both sides and learned alot about people and feelings.  I don't think it would matter to her if she was romantically involved.  She knows what it is like to work hard and hired help work just as hard, if not harder, than alot of people.  I think it would be kinda neat to have the two of them as a couple. :)

She's been living in a shack raising orphans after being sumarily kicked out of her home, does she really care what people think anymore?  She rules the free world, they'll think what her publicist tell them to think  ;D

Yay Pippa! I wonder if they passed the test???
On another note:
Pippa should find a husband. She's now the leader of the free world - if people don't like it, they could be thrown into SimJail.
Skills would make a suitable mate - especially if Payne tells them they failed. Also, has Pippa maxed Charisma???

Yes, Seabody, she has maximized Charisma.  And they (and we) will find out in a few days whether they passed the test.  As for her relationship with Max - keep in mind that even though Pippa no longer has her snob trait, she was raised to think of him as a servant, someone whose only goal in life was to do her bidding.  And of course, Max's training and his role was to do just that.  Even if they had feelings for each other, there's a big social gulf to cross.  The daughter of the house marrying the butler?
