Do my other sims freeze when I send one of them to uni

Hi all, if I send one of my children (whatever age they have to be to go) to uni, do the other sims in my house freeze while I play with the uni sim? If so when my uni sim goes back to the home when they have their degree won't their age be all wrong? I hope that makes sense xx

Time freezes when at uni. So if you left to go to uni at 2pm Thursday, for example, when you return from your uni, it will be 2pm Thursday in your home town. Sims aging freezes whilst at uni, also, do it doesn't interfere with ages. The only strange thing I've discovered is if you have Seasons, the season can be different between your home world and uni. I left home and it was summer there, but at uni it was winter. Which isn't a problem, except I tend to make season specific wardrobes for my sim.
