How to get close-up screenshots?

I've read through quite a few dynasties and legacies on this forum, and I ofen see people have taken close-up screenshots of their Sims faces. However, whenever I try to do this, the zoom is limited.

For example, some people take screenshots of the Sim toddlers playing with the dollhouse and are able to zoom in to the point of the picture just containing the toddlers face and the doll in their mouth.
However, when I try this I can not zoom in further than having the complete doll house and toddler with lots of extra space in the screenshot.

I believe most of those pictures are taken after pushing Tab.  The amount of zoom and angles you can achieve after hitting the Tab key is great.  Have you tried it that way?

Also, there is a thread about taking better screenshots that has really good suggestions.  I posted in it on how to use the Tab.
