So, I have 2 kids who I created as toddlers. They both have an imaginary friend, and now the male child wants to give a friendly introduction to the female's imaginary friend. I can't figure out how to get them to interact, because when I select the boy, the girl's imaginary friend disappears(as it should) Do I have to make the imaginary friend real before they can interact? Or is there a way for them to interact while still as an imaginary friend?

They won't be able to interact unless the invisible friends are made real.  The game glitches sometimes and rolls wishes that can't be fulfilled, so if you don't intend to make the invisible friend real any time soon, I suggest deleting the wish.
