Ark Builder not registering?

I have all animals and insects required to complete the Ark Builder LTW, but it's not registering. I know this is a frequent issue, but what I wanted to ask is:

Has anyone found a workaround for it?

I would only suggest that you make sure the minor pets are in cages on the property and the insects are in the inventory of the sim with the wish.  When others have had problems getting the wish to validate, that's usually the problem.

I've done that and it still doesn't work. I've had two of every kind of minor pet - every kind of bird, snake, turtle, rodent, lizard, and made sure my major pets were male/female pairs. It still wouldn't register.

Sorry for the late reply! I went to do some testing after reading CSquared's answer and then forgot to come back here  .

I tried that, but it didn't work. I also made the sim catch a couple extra stuff in case that would trigger the LTW to register but... no luck. I kind of gave up actually. I still have the sim and the animals but I don't try anymore. I could try again now with the new patch though. I doubt EA stopped to think about bugged LTW while preparing such a huge patch for Supernatural but... who knows.
